AN: Surprised nobody wrote a story where Shepard got yeeted to Chaldea.
Ritsuka was rubbing his eyes. So far, four Singularities has been dealt with.
As he got himself together, walking down the hallway of Chaldea, he saw a woman with red hair, wearing a custom fitted hoodie and baggy pants, getting one of the last coffee's from the machine. Her name is Jane Shpeard.
She had the rank of Commander.
According to Doctor Romani, one day she just appeared, her body was burned and charred, like someone who was burnt alive.
Part of the staff wanted to examine her, but Da Vinci, Romani, Olga, and some of the Team A members said no. That was 2 month before the extinction humanity and she was in coma
Little by little, with the help of magecraft, they were able to heal her. Luckily for her, at the time she was in a part of Chaldea where the bomb did not harm her.
She did not wake up until our second Singularity.
It was a culture shock to her. Apparently she comes from over 170 years in the future where an alien race called the Reapers harvest every technologically advanced civilization every 50,000 years.
They believed her. After all, Da vinci and Romani found things in her body, implants that were pretty advanced.
Her second Culture Shock was well…Magecraft.
Normally such information would be hush-hush, but they couldn't be choosy. It also helped that the Commander had high ray-shift and Master compatibility.
Although She needed time to think. After the shocking amount of information, Shepard decided to spend a whole night in her new room. Ritsuka still distinctly remembers there were tear stains in her sleeves, and her green eyes were puffy.
For the next singularity she will be ready for action.
She requested Da Vinci to make an armor and some fire-arms for her. It did not discourage her, when Da vinci told her, that it would likely be in-effective against Servants. Then she showed Da vinci her Biotic abilities.
Let's just say, that day Shepard got no reprieve from Leonardo's questions.
"Good morning Senpai." Ritsuka greeted Shepard. She became a sort of mentor to Ritsuka in the past few months, greatly instructing him in unit cohesion, tactics, and group management.
In Shepard's words. 'The kid is a natural'
"Good morning junior." She greeted back with a smile and had a thoughtful look in her eyes. "Or is it, kouhai? Anyway, I told you to just call me Jane or Shepard."
Ritsuka sheepishly scratched the back of his head. "I know, but it just feels so disrespectful."
She merely rolled her eyes and took a sip of her coffee.
"Anyways how are you settling in? Did anyone give you trouble?" Ritsuka asked.
She shrugged. "Not really," She looked out the window, opposite of the vending machine. Where life vanishes, and the world burns. "Still have a hard-time thinking this is real, and heroes of the past walk the earth, albeit, temporarily." She clenched the drink in her hand slightly. "Where were they when the Reapers ravaged Earth?" She asked herself.
"Likely, the last vestige of Mystery vanished from Earth." Walking down the hall-way as well was Da Vinci. "Maybe in a century or century in half, this element you have in your body, may have had answers many of the unknown to the average populace. Possibly it was so strong that even the Counter-Force could no longer send her agents in time of need." She explained. "However this is merely a hypothesis." She said the last sentence with a wink.
Shepard pursed her lips. "Remain ignorant, got it." She joked.
The geniuses' features softened slightly. "Sadly that is how Mystery works. But remember this is merely a theory. On another note, Romani told me if I run into you go for a health check-up."
Shepard groaned. "You guys are worse the Doctor Chakwas" She said with mock-exasperation.
She had mirth in her eyes. "You know, if you pass with flying colors, I might just have your order ready~." She teased the Alliance Commander.
She chugged down the rest of the coffee. "Then I better get this over. Ritsuka, Da vinci, see you later."
She then jogged down the hall-way.
"You two need to look out for each other." Leonardo said it out of the blue.
"Huh?"
"While she is more used to danger than you Ritsuka, you are the one who could remind her the most of normal days. Well as much as you could with someone who walked through hell, and grew in conflict and combat. She took a shine to you."
"Of course I will." Ritsuka said firmly and without hesitation.
"Good… I heard Blackbeard tried to peek on some of the Servants not long ago~"
"Oh crud." Ritsuka took off, to try and maybe save his butt.
"It is never dull in Chaldea" Da vinci laughed as she went to the command room.
