Everything was gone. The Elemental Nations and all those within it were no more. Taken away by one mad Uchiha seeking to achieve peace. Only one survived. Narumi Uzumaki-Namikaze, the Jinchuuriki of the Kyuubi no Kitsune, was alone. With one desperate attempt to go back and change everything, things don't go according to plan. Chapter 1: Her home

This was it. After everything that has occurred in those short hours, she had lost everything. Everyone.

Ero-Sennin.

Baa-chan.

Kakashi-sensei.

Sasuke-teme.

Sakura-chan.

Hinata-chan.

Her cousin Karin-chan.

Gaara-kun.

Bee-San and his brother A-san.

Ino-chan.

Yugito-chan.

Bushy brows and his Gai-sensei.

Even Itachi was gone now.

Everyone she had held dear to her vanishing in a thin orange haze of madness and hatred by one man. Obito Uchiha.

The mere thought of that monsters name made her grit her teeth in rage. Tears streaming down her bruised face and mixing with the rain that fell, almost as if Kami himself was weeping along side her. She was down on her knees on the wet ground at the final battle of the war. Everything was supposed to be different. They were all supposed to fight together and somehow defeat the evil Kaguya before she could accomplish her goal and then head home to finally relax in true peace time between all the villages. Narumi remembered how she, Sasuke and Sakura teamed up one last time in order to defeat the twisted mind of Kaguya and end her plans once and for all. They managed to stop and defeat her, though it took a massive toll on the three.

For Sakura, she had been impaled by a spear through her stomach. She was able to partially heal herself in order to continue fighting, but the blond Uzumaki and the last Uchiha could tell that she was running on borrowed time.

Sasuke managed to get in several shots to Kaguya's side using his Susanoo, but he was blowing through his chakra faster than he could use it. He took a damaging blow to his legs, nearly getting them cut cleanly through the thighs.

Narumi was the only one still standing afterwards. Using the Kyuubi's chakra and cloak to its fullest to deliver the biggest Rasen-Shuriken she would ever create in order to finally end Kaguya once and for all. Once Kaguya died, the Zetsu's dissolved and disappeared along with her. The casualties were many because of those clones, the old Tsuchikage was killed along with Lee, Temari and Shikamaru. The losses were high, and it was a bittersweet victory, but in the end, they won.

Or so they thought.

Obito Uchiha, the crazed man that was so hellbent on achieving his goal of being with Rin, attacked everyone with his own Susanoo. He tore through everyone in his path in order to gather the Jinchuuriki still remaining. This was no battle, it was a slaughter.

Narumi stood on her feet and faced the man herself, her rage boiling over when she saw her friends dieing all around her as the mad man cackled in insane glee. She activated her cloak once more and fought with everything she had left in order to defeat and stop the very man who was the sole reason for all of this. Obito fought back against her, noticing that his Susanoo was taking damage from the barrage of clones wielding that accursed Rasengan his deceased sensei had created. If he had known that his daughter would have become this big of a problem, he would have ended her as a newborn the second he held her all those years ago. It didn't matter to him anymore, all that did matter was seeing Rin once more and this Uzumaki was preventing him from doing so.

Narumi tried to get through to the Uchiha, saying that Rin wouldn't want this. That she would be disgusted and appalled by the monster he has become. Obito countered her by saying she would only see him as he was, not who he is now.

With every attack and every verbal engagement, Narumi could tell that she would have no other choice. That the only way to stop him, was to end him forever. Narumi didn't want to do that. She didn't want to take that step against someone so twisted and stone-faced into their own beliefs. If she could convince Nagato of his false beliefs in peace and how wrong he was to slaughter all those people throughout the years, she could save one more person, consequences be damned.

But this was not going that way and she could tell that it was only going to get worse if she didn't act now. Using the last of her chakra and pouring as much energy from Kurama, her sage mode and even senjuutsu, she was able to form a Rasen-Shuriken that broke through the Susanoo and smashed into the mad man, sending him to the ground in a heap. She landed on her knees, exhausted from the strain her body had gone through. Even her Uzumaki body with how durable it was had begun to fail her.

Narumi looked to the fallen Uchiha, her clothes tattered, blue eyes dull from the use of nearly all of her chakra, and skin marred with cuts, bruises and fresh blood. Kurama was doing all he could just to keep her awake, but even he was beginning to tire from her overuse of his chakra.

Narumi Uzumaki had done it. She had finally stopped the man behind the Akatsuki, yet this was no victory. She looked around at the death and destruction all around her and couldn't stop the tears from flowing and mixing with the rain.

"It's over." She said in a near whisper as she sobbed once more, falling to the ground in the process.

Kurama, even though tired from the fight, couldn't help but feel her pain and sadness as the world he lived in soon started to flood even more. The fox sighed in defeat as he laid down, hoping that the kit would at least rest to regain her strength. It would be a long day tomorrow for he and his blond companion.

[One month later]

In all this time, Narumi had buried everyone involved within the battle. Friends, Jinchuuriki, shinobi, Kage's, Sannin, civilians and anyone else she ran into. After she had done that, she began to look for any survivors elsewhere and came to a horrifying conclusion.

The Infinite Tsukuyomi had indeed ensnared everyone in the world.

The first place she went to was Wave in the hopes of finding anyone there, but when she reached the village, she gasped in pure shock at the pods holding nothing but red liquid within. She frantically ran to Tazuna's home, praying and begging to Kami that this was all a horrible nightmare and that she would eventually wake from it. There was no such luck as the second she burst into the old bridge builders home, she was met with the same thing. Three pods filled with nothing but blood. This was unfortunately the same thing she found in other places she traveled to.

Suna, Taki, Kumo, Spring country, Land of Moon, Iwa, even Oto. Everywhere was the same. Those pods filled with the blood of an innocent.

Narumi couldn't process all of this as she quickly made her way to Uzushiogakure in the hopes that there was an answer for this whole situation. Once she entered the ruined village, she immediately began to hunt for anything that could help her fix all of this. Kurama saw how she was treating herself. Barely eating or sleeping. Shutting him off to ignore his pleas that she needs to stop for now and process everything normally. She may have been a master of fuinjuutsu and understood every single bit of knowledge there was in the Uzumaki vaults, but that didn't mean she needed to kill herself in order to try and fix everything. Kurama was getting more and more worried for his host and it showed on the large demon. The last thing he wanted was to lose her like this.

As for Narumi, after a few weeks of searching and perfecting her craft, she had done it. One seal that would save everyone she had ever lost to this stupid war. One seal that would help her correct everything horrible that has ever happened to her, her friends as well as her brothers and sisters. One seal that would fix everything.

"Narumi." Kurama started from their link, concern clearly in the last remaining Bijuu. "Are you sure about this?"

"Of course I am Kurama!" She spoke with an intensity that was common now for the fox as she would jump down his throat whenever he attempted to tell her to rest and grieve. "This is going to work! Now shut up and help me already!"

Kurama could only sigh as he could tell that she was at her wits end, but he nodded and decided to help her regardless of how he felt about this. He stood on his paws and began to fuel her with his own chakra. Narumi then mixed it with hers and activated her cloak. The golden form encompassed her whole body and she felt the surge of power within her. Without wasting anymore time, she grabbed what little supplies she needed for the journey; mainly scrolls containing kunai's, shurikens, her fathers haraishin kunai's, explosive tags, seals of various degrees, and rations. She placed the scrolls within her cloak so they would be secured and stepped out of her room. After walking through the desolated ruins of what was once one of the most powerful villages in the world, Narumi came to her destination. A large clearing in the center of a forest and a massive seal on the ground. The seal was both intricately placed with sharp edges and precise marks, and also dangerously designed. This seal was said to be dangerous even by Uzumaki standards, but it is also said that the seal would be able to send its user back to a predetermined time of their choosing. Narumi was willing to take the chance.

"Here we go."

The last Jinchuuriki stepped into the center of the seal, an intricate and jagged circle, and took a deep breath. She placed her ands together and began going through seals; Ox, Tiger, Ram, Boar, Snake, and finally Fox. The seal started to glow a sickly purple as Narumi began to pour as much of her chakra within the center. As she did this, the area around her began to change. The trees around her began to wilt and decay. The grass changed from a beautiful green to a terrible brown while also decaying after.

Narumi gritted her teeth as she continued to pour more and more chakra into the seal, not caring how large of a risk this was to her body. As long as she could go back and prevent all of this needless death and destruction, that's all that matters to her. Kurama was screaming for her to stop as the strain on her reserves and body was beginning to cause damage to her. He was starting to fade as his own body was weakening from the seal, but continued to stay with her in the hopes that either this worked and they were sent back, or they would both die and join their loved ones in the embrace of the shinigami.

Narumi screamed at the top of her lungs as the seal began to lose the sickly purple and turn to a bright gold. The center circle began to rise around her, slowly wrapping itself around the blond. It began to shake the very ground they were standing on and just as Narumi's body was about to give out on her, the golden light ensnared her completely. The resulting explosion of light from the center imploded in itself at first, leaving no trace of the woman there, then an explosion as large as Bijuudama erupted from the epicenter, wiping the island away from existence.

This is how Uzushiogakure was no more.

[Unknown plane of time]

Narumi had finally stopped screaming as her cloak had receded. Her body looked battered as she had bruises and large cuts along her body, arms, legs and back. Kurama had passed out from the ordeal and was just glad they weren't dead. Not yet anyway.

They were floating in a sea of nothing. No light to be seen. No sounds to be heard. Just darkness. Narumi, despite feeling like death, kept her eyes open, though slightly, in the hopes that this worked. She felt Kurama as he passed out from the strain and realized that once again, just like the end of the war, she was alone. No one to speak to and nothing around her but darkness. She didn't want to remember those that she lost. Didn't want to relive the deaths she saw that day or the countless bodies she had to bury. She had lost everything in one day and right now, all she really wanted was to see them one last time. The Uzumaki felt her eyes grow heavy and her body grow weak. She couldn't keep herself awake any longer as exhaustion and fatigue began to overtake her.

"I'm sorry everyone." Narumi said to herself as she began to fade into unconsciousness. "I failed, again."

Just as her body gave out, a single light shined above her. It slowly began to grow and grow until the darkness was no more. Narumi didn't know what was going on, but suddenly the wind started to pick up around her.

She could feel the air rushing past her and recognized it. She was falling. Her eyes opened ever so slightly to see sky blues and clouds high above as she passed by birds flying and later on trees. As she could feel the an impact imminent, she prepared herself as best as she could for the pain, only it never came. Instead, Narumi's body began to slow down as she approached the ground.

After a few minutes, Narumi Uzumaki-Namikaze felt herself lying onto soft grass once more. Her eyes slowly fluttered as she tried to take in her surroundings only for exhaustion to finally overtake her. Narumi passed out right then and there, the last thing she heard being the steady breeze flowing around the forest. In a sense, it was a serene way to sleep, the first she's had in a long while.

"Alright, let's go and report back to the Hokage." A new voice spoke in a cheery tone a little ways off.

"I heard you the first time." A second voice started, slightly annoyed. "Jeez, it's not like the mission was all that important any-" They stopped as they saw someone lying on the ground.

"What's wrong?" The first voice asked before noticing exactly what their friend was looking at. Widening their emerald eyes, he yelled back. "Sensei! We need your help right now!"
