At the cave with Deliora a battle was occurring, Natsu and Mash were now trying to beat up an old man… When you say it like that…
"Quit running!" Natsu screamed as the old man dodged a flaming punch
"Do you really think it's wise to use your flame magic in these circumstances? You could make the ice melt faster, you know?" the old man said and dodged a dropkick by Mash
"He moves fast for an old man…" Mash said
"I thought you'd want the ice to melt faster, no?" Natsu said while jumping up and trying to kick the old man, who dodged again "And Mash already said, we are going to beat you as fast as possible and then deal with the guy at the top!"
"Hoo Hoo hoo!" The old man laughed as he ducked and dodged a punch from Mash "Your resolve and flexibility on the battlefield surprised me."
"This guy is so weird…" Mash said getting near Natsu
"Why is it so hard to hit this guy!?" Natsu said while the old man kept laughing
"I have an idea, let's try and corner him." Mash suggested
"Alright, let's-" Natsu began but was interrupted by something…
A guttural roar came from behind them, the sound being so loud it caused the entire cave to tremble, and even shook the entire temple, Erza and the rest of the group looked around confused by what had happened, Gray who had just managed to beat Lyon was shocked by what he heard. Natsu covered his ears and looked behind him along with Mash and they saw… Deliora with his upper half free. That was bad!
"We really should not have wasted time strategizing…" Mash said
"It's here! It's finally here!" the old man celebrated
Deliora roared once again causing the entire cave to tremble under his might, Natsu and Mash turned to the old man, getting ready to beat him quickly
"Shit! Enough wasting time! Let's go, Mash!" Natsu said and they both charged at the old man
But Natsu was immediately stopped by a crystal ball hitting him on the head, throwing him into a wall, Mash looked confused at that but managed to react fast enough to catch the ball with his hand when it got too close, but suddenly it sped up and caused Mash to hit himself in the face, letting go of the ball and falling on the ground, the ball flew back into the old man's side while the two got up
"My thoughts exactly!" The old man said throwing the flying crystal ball at them once again
"I got this." Mash said while punching the crystal ball so hard it broke into various pieces "Oh… That was easy."
But suddenly the crystal ball repaired itself causing Mash to widen his eyes while the ball hit him in the stomach pushing him back, Natsu jumped back into the fight and the crystal ball flew at him but Natsu hit it with a flaming kick breaking the object easily, but it repaired itself instantly and hit Natsu in the face
"It fixes itself!?" Natsu yelled confused
"Correct. You see, I can manipulate the time of an object. Meaning I returned this crystal back in time to when it wasn't broken." The old man explained while getting his crystal ball near himself again
"Time!?" Natsu yelled surprised
"That sounds annoying to deal with…" Mash said, for some reason he didn't really like the idea of time magic
"'The Arc of Time' is a lost magic, that's why you probably are so confused." the old man said, throwing the crystal ball at them once again "So how about we fast forward the crystal ball into the future?"
The crystal ball flew faster than both Natsu and Mash could perceive but it just flew past them, confusing the two, but suddenly they started to get hit by every side at blinding speeds, the crystal ball was flying so fast that it was really starting to hurt them. Mash managed to get used to that speed and grabbed the crystal ball as it hit him, crushing it with his hand just for it to fix itself once more
"Useless!" the old man said as the ball then hit Mash on the face
"This thing is so annoying!" Natsu tried to punch the ball only for it to stop, causing Natsu to miss his punch "It stopped!?"
"Indeed, I can also stop an object's time." the old man explained
"So it doesn't work on humans, right?" Mash guessed since he hadn't used it on them yet
"Quite the observant one, now are you?" the old man said, calling back his crystal ball "It doesn't work on any living creature to be exact. That is why I cannot melt the ice the envelopes Deliora, since it's actually Ur."
"So that's what Gray meant… The spell turns the person into ice." Mash realized
"Look, I'm gonna be honest here. I don't really understand you." Natsu said, confusing the old man "Lyon wants to defeat that thing, but what do his comrades get from all this?"
"No idea, I joined pretty recently."
"Then what about you? What do you want with all of this?" Natsu asked making the old man smirk
"My, my… He is no match for that thing." the old man laughed, confusing the two "Reitei I mean. He is no match for Deliora."
"Then you'll beat it?" Mash asked
"I'm afraid not."
"Then what's the point in reviving it??????????" Mash asked incredibly confused while maintaining his deadpan look
"To control it." the old man simply stated "Even though it's an immortal demon, there is a way to manipulate it. Wouldn't it be great to have Deliora under my command?"
"Meh. Ridiculous. Asking this was a waste of time." Natsu said, confusing the old man "I thought you had a burning passion to accomplish something…"
"You just don't understand it yet, but there will be a time when you'll need power." the old man said
"When that time comes, I'll just trust my friends and my own power. The power of the Fairy Tail mages!" Natsu said glaring at the old man and lighting his fist on fire
"Such vanity will ruin your body! Ceiling, accelerate thy time and crumble!" the old man chanted and the ceiling began to crumble down
"You people vandalizing this island for the stupidest reasons, I've had enough of you!" Natsu yelled incredibly angry
"Alright, so all you want is power. I'll show you power when I punch your face in." Mash said cracking his knuckles
Natsu then created flames on his feet and boosted himself up in the air, flying up at the old man, while Mash jumped up at him with zero hesitation, the old man pointed his hand at them causing the pieces of the ceiling to fly towards them
"Let's see if my Arc of Time can capture those flames!" the old man yelled
"I don't care if you are using an arch or a whole circle, you are not causing more problems on this Island." Mash said as the rocks all hit him and threw him down causing a smoke screen to rise
"Did he throw himself down and punch the ground just to distract me!?" the old man questioned, and when the smokescreen disappeared both Natsu and Mash were gone "They're not there anymore!"
"Oh, and one more thing!" Natsu's voice was heard causing the old man to look up in shock "We can manipulate time too! We control the future! Tell him what will happen, Mash!"
Mash then appeared right in front of the old man, now in his "battle mode" since he used his clothes to pack in the rocks so he could not use them again
"You'll go flying in the next two seconds."
Both of them got ready and moved up to punch him, their attacks combining at the last second

The combined punch hit the old man square in the face, creating a beam of fire that dragged him through the walls of the cave and up through the ground until he was blasted away into the forest of the island
"That right there. That is power." Mash said while he and Natsu fist-bumped

At the top of the temple, Erza had beaten Toby with just one attack, stopping the ritual right then in there. The others came running near Erza to celebrate their victory
"The moon drip stopped!" Lucy cheered
"Let's go, team!" Dot cheered along with the blonde
"Erza did most of the work here." Lance deadpanned
"It's too late! You failed!" Toby yelled at them, surprising Erza "The ritual is done!"
Suddenly a blinding pillar of light came out of the hole in the center of the ritual, the entire place trembled as Deliora was finally free from its seal, the immense power that emanated from the demon shocking everyone
"Oh no…" Lance said shocked
"O-oh no…" Lucy said scared
"FUCK!" Dot screamed scared

Inside the cave, Natsu and Mash looked in complete shock at the now-freed Deliora, its figure towering over the two boys, Gray ran into where they were and saw that, widening his eyes in shock
"Uh oh." Mash said blinking twice
"Ur…" Gray thought as he put his hands in the melted ice shell
"Gray! You were here!?" Natsu yelled while jumping near Gray, Mash being right behind him
"With the three of us together I'm pretty sure we can defeat that thing." Mash said pointing at the monster until he heard a weak laugh
"It's impossible for you guys… Let me…" Lyon said, now without his helmet, revealing his white hair, his entire body was bruised and bloodied, probably thanks to Gray, he crawled on the ground trying to get near Deliora "To surpass… Ur… I must…"
"I think you should stand up before trying to fight." Mash said
"Yeah, it's even more impossible for you to beat that thing!" Natsu said but Lyon ignored them, continuing to crawl his way to Deliora who roared at the four
"We finally meet… Deliora…" Lyon began to get up, his legs shaking as he remembered all of the moments he had with his teacher "The only monster… that Ur couldn't defeat… I will beat it… Right here and now… I'll surpass you…"
But before Lyon could try and attack the demon Gray karate chopped him in the back of the neck, knocking him to the ground
"That's enough, Lyon." Gray said, crossing his arms in front of himself in the form of an X while walking forward "Leave it to me. I'll seal Deliora!"
A massive amount of power began to come out of Gray, a wave of Ice surrounding him as a magic circle appeared right below him
"Iced Shell!" Lyon yelled in shock "Don't do it, Gray! How long do you think I spent melting that ice? History will just repeat itself! I'll just melt it again so I can fight it! Don't do it!"
"This is the only way to stop it…" Gray said as his power skyrocketed, his body turning as white as ice
But suddenly something weird happened, Mash charged toward Deliora, without any hesitation
"What are you doing you idiot!?" Gray screamed
"I'll go fight it." Mash said
"No! You can't beat it!" Gray yelled
"Do you not understand? We don't want you to die, so we will fight whatever it is to make sure you live." Natsu said getting in front of Gray
"You're in the way!" Gray yelled
"Didn't my words reach you earlier?" Natsu asked, turning around to see Mash continuing to rush toward Deliora "Use the spell now if you want."
Gray stopped his spell, he didn't know how to react, he really was just about to kill himself in front of his friends… While they try to fight such a monster…
His line if thought stopped when Deliora lifted up his arm getting ready to punch all of them, Natsu ignited his fist while Mash jumped up ready to punch the demon too
"Look out!" Gray screamed
"I won't give up! We'll beat this thing!" Natsu screamed
"For Gray." Mash said
Deliora got ready to hit them but suddenly his arm snapped into two as if it had turned into stone, Mash flew right past Deliora and into a wall thanks to the surprise, suddenly Deliora's entire body began to crack and break shocking all of them, the demon's body crumbling under its own weight
"N-no way…" Lyon said in disbelief "Deliora was already dead…"
Gray was too shocked to speak, Natsu didn't really understand what had just happened and Mash had just gotten out of the wall and was looking at the pile of rocks that was now Deliora
"What just happened?" Mash asked
"For ten years… Ur's ice has been sucking away Deliora's life… and what we just saw… Were its final moments." Lyon said in shock, punching the ground and starting to cry "I'm no match… I can't surpass Ur…"
"Awesome." Mash said
"Your teacher is amazing, Gray!" Natsu said
"Thank you so much… Teacher…" Gray said putting a hand on his face and starting to cry
Natsu smiled at Gray while Mash gave him a thumbs up. Ur's ice had now become water and drifted into the ocean, but Ur was still alive, at least that's what Gray says, Ur is now part of the ocean and she will watch her two pupils, in the hopes that they stop fighting soon. The rest of the team managed down to the cave, Happy immediately hugged Natsu while Dot, Lance, and Abyss got near Mash, with Dot patting him on the back for a job well done, Erza got near Natsu scaring him, and grabbed the boy by his scarf, Lucy laughed a little at her friend's antics, and Gray was carrying Lyon on his back out of there, both of them smiling at each other while remembering what their teacher said to them

Erza pulled Natsu out of the cave while everyone else followed them, once they were out Gray left Lyon at the gate of the temple and went toward his friends
"Well, first S-Class job done!" Dot said while smirking
"Does that mean we'll be able to go to the second floor?" Lucy said excited
But their happiness ended when they looked at Erza who was glaring daggers at them, Natsu seemed to be dying from how hard era was holding him
"Oh yeah, we're still in trouble." Mash said blinking twice
"You still have more to do before that. Wasn't the true goal of the mission to help all of the villagers who had turned into demons?" Erza said making them remember about the poor villagers "This job is not over yet."
"But we defeated Deliora, right? Shouldn't the people be free of the curse then?" Lucy asked
"We?" Lance said confused
"No. That phenomenon you call the curse is not caused by Deliora. It was the moon drip that caused it, right? Killing Deliora would not cause it to suddenly be cured." Erza explained
"Oh noooo…" Lucy deflated
"Then we'll just go and cure them!" Natsu said while high-fiving Happy
"But how?" Abyss asked
Gray turned towards Lyon who looked back at him and shrugged
"I don't know."
"But if you don't know, how will we cure the villagers!?" Lucy asked confused
"We've known about the existence of the village for the past three years, but we never interfered with them. And they also never came to us at any time." Lyon said crossing his arms
"Never for three years?" Erza asked surprised
"Come to think of it, how did they never notice the massive amount of light shining down on this temple?" Lance asked suspicious of this entire thing
"And I have some doubts about the effects of the moon drip on the human body." Lyon said
"So what? You're saying you didn't do it?" Natsu asked
"We have been basked in it for three years and nothing happened to us."
"That is true…" Dot said, he then turned to Mash who had steam coming out of his ears thanks to the massive amount of thinking his brain was doing right now "It wasn't Deliora doing it, Mash."
"Oh."
"I'd be careful if I were you, those people are hiding something. But I guess now this is guild business…" Lyon said turning his head to the side
"I won't let you just go! You destroyed the village and-" Natsu started but Erza put her hand on his mouth so he would be quiet
"They had their own reasons. Deliora had caused great pain to them so they acted without thinking. There is no use complaining about the past now." Erza said dragging Natsu away from there and with the others following her "Let's go."
"You say that, but do you know how we'll cure them?" Dot asked
"No."
"Of course you don't…" Lance sighed
Gray stopped and turned towards Lyon, causing the white-haired mage to look back at him
"What?"
"You should join a guild. You'll get friends and rivals. And I'm sure you'll be able to find a new goal in one." Gray said with a small smile
"R-ridiculous… Just go already." Lyon said while looking away

Back at the village's storage, the Fairy Tail mages were looking around trying to find the villagers, but weirdly the place was completely devoid of people
"There's no one here…" Lucy said confused
"Was this really where everyone was?" Natsu asked
"Yes, since the village was destroyed but where are they now?" Abyss asked confused
"Hello!!!!" Happy yelled trying to get the villager's attention
"Well I'll grab some ointments and bandages since we're here." Gray said getting inside a tent
"You shouldn't steal, Gray." Mash said
"It's not stealing!"
"Hello! Sirs! You're back! Something really weird happened!" a villager in his demon form came running at them "Come! You need to see it!"
The villager then ran back to where he came and the mages followed him, incredibly confused by what was happening, but when they got to where the villager wanted they widened their eyes in surprise, the village was completely rebuilt
"What the hell!?" Dot yelled confused "Wasn't this destroyed yesterday!?"
"How is it already fixed?" Lance said equally confused
"It's like time has been rewinded." Mash said poking a wall to see if it was real
"Since it's all fixed, try not to break the doors, Mash." Lucy said while looking at the boy
"Time, huh?" Natsu said remembering the weird old man "Nah, no way he helped. Although maybe he felt bad… Meh, whatever, everything is fine!"
"Aye!"
"I guess… Oh wait, our stuff!" Lucy said remembering what they left at the village's storage
When Lucy was running back she saw the village's mayor sitting in front of a tombstone, it seemed that truly everything was back to normal
"So Bobo's tombstone is back too. That's a relief." Lucy thought while the village's mayor noticed her there
"Are you the ones who brought our village back to normal? Hoga." the mayor asked while getting up
"Eh… No…"
"We are very grateful but…" the mayor began "Please tell us when are you going to destroy the moon?"
"You're still on that?" Dot asked having just gotten to the conversation
"It's easy to destroy the moon." Erza said like it was nothing
"She's saying something so outrageous like it's completely normal…" Gray said sweating
"But before I do I want to confirm something. Could you gather everyone for me?" Erza asked the mayor

At the front gates of the village, everyone was now gathered, with Erza being in front of them all hearing their story about how all of this began
"So let me get this straight. You all gained this appearance after the purple moon appeared. Is that right?"
"Hoga. To be exact, we turn into this appearance when the moon is out." the mayor said
"From your story, that started three years ago." Erza continued
"Yeah. That sounds right."
"But the moon drip ritual has been happening daily for the past three years. You all should be seeing the light shine down on the temple daily. So-KYAH!" Erza yelled when she stepped on the trap hole that Lucy had built, falling down into it
"Even that was restored." Abyss said remembering when he fell on it
"She said 'kyah'…" Natsu said shocked
"Cute…" Dot said but then punched himself in the forehead "But I'm in love with Lucy!"
"It wasn't me!" Lucy yelled while covering her ears
"Meaning that's the most suspicious place on this island," Erza said getting out of the hole as if nothing had happened
"So cool…" one villager said
"Why didn't you investigate it?"
"That's because… of the tradition to never go near the ruins." the mayor said
"Even I can tell you're lying. When people are at the risk of dying, traditions don't mean anything." Mash stated causing the mayor to start sweating
"Can you tell us the truth?" Erza asked
"To tell you the truth we don't know what is going on either. We tried to investigate the ruins many times." the mayor said "But every time we did, we couldn't get close to it. We noticed that even if we walked in a straight line toward the ruins we always ended up back at the village's entrance."
"That sounds too stupid to be made up…" Lance said confused
"You just can't get close to it? How?" Lucy asked
"That doesn't make sense. We could even enter it, no sweat." Natsu said confused
"We kept silent about it because we thought you wouldn't believe us but it is true. None of us could even get close to that place!" the villagers said
"As I thought…" Erza said causing the other mages to look at her confused
"I honestly gave up trying to understand what is going on," Mash stated bluntly
"You don't need to Mash." Erza said changing into a new armor, this one increasing her size and being a more barbaric armor in appearance with fur in the joints, it was a yellow armor with blue adornments that covered her entire body, having two massive shoulder pads, a tiara that seemed to have yellow car years on it and gauntlets on her arms, with the right one being noticeably larger "I just need you to help me destroy the moon."
"Ok."
"DON'T JUST ACCEPT DOING SOMETHING SO RIDICULOUS!!!!!" Lucy screamed

Back at the village Erza and Mash were now on the top of a tower, with Mash looking up intrigued while the others were on the ground along with the villagers waiting for what was going to happen
"Destroying the moon sounds impossible… Even if it is Erza and Mash together." Gray said concerned
"How are they going to do it?" Lucy asked
"It's exciting!" Natsu said
"In a way I guess…" Even Lance had to admit that it was a little exciting
"So… How are we doing this?" Mash asked
"This armor I'm wearing is the Giant Armor, it greatly increases the wearer's strength." Erza said while summoning a spear to her hand "And this is the De-Malevo-Lance, a spear that completely subdues darkness"
"So the plan is to throw that thing at the moon? Cool." Mash said
"More like impossible…" the sensible mages thought
"Yes, but I alone cannot do it. That's why you are going to punch the end of the spear as I throw it, giving it enough of a boost to make it able to break the moon." Erza explained causing Mash to nod
"Got it."
"They are really doing it…" Dot said
"I'm starting to get concerned that they might actually destroy the moon…" Lance said
Erza got herself in position, pointing the spear upwards while Mash got herself behind her reading a punch, Mash threw his arm as back as he could while his muscles flexed and tensed up, veins popping out of them, Erza then began to move her arm forward and gave Mash the signal
"Mash!"
"Deltoid Magic: Barbarian Punch." Mash punched the back of the spear with all of his strength, causing it to fly at a lightning-fast speed
"Reach it!" Erza screamed as the spear flew
Everyone stared in disbelief as the spear flew toward the skies, hitting the moon and causing it to crack, all of the villagers began to cheer while the mages couldn't believe their eyes, except Natsu of course, he was having the time of his life seeing something so cool happen, but suddenly the entire sky cracked a broke down revealing a regular colored moon at the spear still flying upward, Erza widened her eyes a little at that, not expecting the spear to continue, and soon it was completely out of sight… and now a cream puff shaped hole was present in the moon
"Job well done." Mash said giving Erza a thumbs-up
"Eh… sure…" Erza said dumbfounded
"The sky is breaking…?" Lucy said shocked
"They actually hit the moon…" Abyss said, shocked seeing the cream puff-shaped hole on the moon… Those two combined are stronger than anything he has ever seen
"What is going on!?" Natsu yelled confused
"This island was covered by an evil barrier." Erza said causing Mash to look at her confused
"Barrier?"
"Think of it as the pollution caused by the moon drip, it crystalized into a barrier in the sky, that's why the moon looked purple." Erza explained
The villagers suddenly began to sparkle, they looked at themselves confused while that happened, they seemed to be returning to normal…
"And now, this island is going to get back its original shine." Erza stated
And so… the villagers were still demons after the sparkles stopped
"Weren't they supposed to return to normal?" Dot asked confused
"Yes." Erza said returning to her normal armor "It's just that this is their original appearance."
That just confused everyone even more
"The barrier affected their memories, not their appearance." Erza continued, causing Mash to look at her even more confused "'We become demons at night', wrong thoughts like that."
"Huh…" Mash hummed
"They were demons to begin with." Erza said after noticing that Mash still didn't understand now causing the boy to get it
"Oh."
Natsu screamed in surprise at that, even the villagers looked shocked, Lucy fell to her knees while screaming in sheer confusion, Lance's brain turned off for a moment, Abyss couldn't even react to anything anymore, Dot was incredibly close to hitting his head on the ground, and Gray was trying to make sense of the situation
"F-for real!?" Gray asked
"We ourselves are still a little confused with all of this…" one of the villagers asked
"They possessed the ability to turn into humans, so they believed that their original appearance was that of a human. That was the moon drip's effect on their memory." Erza explained
"But… Why were Lyon and the others fine?" Lucy asked
"I guess it only affects demons." Erza said "They couldn't approach the temple since creatures of the darkness cannot get close to the places that possess the holy light."
"You act like all of this is obvious." Mash said causing Erza to smile proudly
"Amazing, I'm glad I left this situation in your hands." a familiar voice was heard, and when they turned around almost everyone's eyes widened, a new demon had appeared "Thank you, mages!"
"Bobo…?" the mayor asked
"A ghost!!!!!!!!" Lance, Lucy, and Happy screamed scared
"You're scared of ghosts, Lance?" Dot asked
"Shut up."
"Is that sailor!" Gray yelled
"But…" one villager began while turning around and looking at his tombstone
"Hahaha! We demons wouldn't just die because we were stabbed in the chest!" Bobo laughed
"But how did you disappear back on the ship?" Gray asked before he disappeared once again surprising Gray
"Sorry for not telling you the truth earlier!" Bobo said, making Gray look up and see that he had grown bat-like wings and was now flying "I got away from the island because I was the only one who got their memories back, I was scared of everyone here since they thought they were human."
"Bobo!" the mayor yelled incredibly happy, flying up and hugging his son
"You're finally back to your senses dad!" They both laughed while hugging each other
"Demon island… huh." Erza said looking at all of the demons who flew into the night sky to celebrate their recovery
"Looking from here, they look more like angels than demons." Natsu said with a smile
"I will say… This was surely not what I expected my first job at this guild would be." Dot said scratching his head
"Let's do a feast! A demon feast!" the villagers cheered
"That sounds dreadful…" Lucy said
"Aye…"
"You guys can enjoy the feast… I'm going to wait for you all on Erza's boat. I've reached my limit for craziness…" Lance said making his way out of the village before being stopped by Mash
"Come on, Lance. Let's go have fun." Mash said, dragging the blue-haired boy back into the village and near the rest of his friends "I want to have my first feast with as many friends as possible."
"...tsk." Lance made Mash let him go and cleaned his jacket "Fine. I guess I can stay for a little longer."
"Alright! Time for a big celebration party!" Natsu yelled

On the next day on the ship Natsu, Gray, and Dot were now depressed with the result of their mission
"We're still poor…" Dot said sadly
"I don't know what you expected, Erza did say we were getting punished." Lance said
"At least I got a new key!" Lucy said just finished the contract with her new celestial spirit, Sagittarius, who was a very scrawny man in a green suit wearing a horse suit, he had a bow and arrow on his back
"Well, I won't say it was all bad. At least we managed to help those people." Abyss said with a small smile
"That is true Abyss. Although you all broke the rules I'm glad we managed to help those people in the end." Erza said with a smile "Right?"
"Abubububububububububububu" Abyss began to tremble while blushing when he tried to answer Erza
"I forgot about that, fufufu." Erza said before chuckling
"All is well in a good day's work." Mash said with a small smile
"You are all still being punished." Erza said
"We are going to die." Mash said while maintaining his smile
"Wait… Does that mean we will have to do that!?" Gray screamed in a panic
"No! Not that!" Happy screamed too
"What is 'That'!?" Lucy screamed now getting scared
"Yes, That is surely a given for your punishment." Erza said with a smile

"Lemon, Finn, and Abel…" Mash said to himself before running into the destroyed guild, worried sick about what might have happened to his friends
