This is Chapter 6 of my X-Men Story that takes place in the X-Men Animated Series Universe and my own few additions. There are a few big guest appearances in this one. Hope you enjoy. And do go back and check out the previous chapters first if you missed them.
FADE IN:
TITLE CARD: "Psycho"
SCENE: "FULL ARRIVAL"; A WEARHOUSE SOMEWHERE IN NEW YORK CITY.
The warehouse is consumed by a purple light and the man standing next to the source of the light cracks a sick smile. The light now become a portal big enough for someone to walk through. A hand engulfed in what appears to be a purple flame reaches through the portal. The man coming through the portal laughs manically.
MAD SCIENTIST
Welcome to your new dimension Lord Bison.
M. BISON
You have done well. Now this world will be mine and the new Psycho Driver will ensure my victory!
MAD SCIENTIST
Yes, Lord Bison!
M. BISON
All we need now is a few test subjects. My Psycho Powers will not be as strong in this dimension until we activated the Psycho Driver. Have you done as I asked?
MAD SCIENTIST
Of course, Lord Bison, the normal girl works at the theater a block away from this very warehouse. The psychic woman moved just last week to a mansion in this dimension's version of upstate New York.
M. BISON
Bah! You fool. It will take a great deal of my energy to port that far!
MAD SCIENTIST
NO! Please forgive me Lord Bison! The girl moved after we had already made our plans. I could not find another on such short notice.
M. BISON
(Annoyed)
She will have to do then. Be grateful I am in such a good mood.
As Bison goes to check his new powerless Psycho Driver, the mad scientist breathes a sigh of relief to be still alive.
END SCENE
SCENE: "ABDUCTIONS", X-MANSION IN WEST SALEM, NY.
Jubilee, the X-Men's youngest member walks down the stairs in the main foyer of the X-Mansion. As she does, she hears a knock on the mansion's front door.
JUBILEE
(Cheerfully)
I'll get it!
Jubilee is shocked at the visitor to the X-Mansion.
JUBILEE
SPIDER-MAN? WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!
SPIDER-MAN
Hey, Kiddo. Go see if you can find Wolvie and the Prof. I kind of need their help.
WOLVERINE
No need bub. We're right here.
PROFESSOR X
What brings you all the way out here Spider-Man?
SPIDER-MAN
It's my… friend Mary Jane, she went missing outside of the theater she works at. (Peter is trying to protect his secret identity which even the X-Men don't know)
JUBILEE
What makes you think she's here?
SPIDER-MAN
Miss Watson usually works late, so I went to meet her, and I heard her scream. As I went around the corner, she wasn't there but the Geiger counter I had on me (borrowed it from my friend Doc Connors over at ESU) went off. I followed the minute radiation right to your door.
Before the X-Men could react to that startling news, there was another knock on the X-Mansion's door. Wolverine slowly opens the door to reveal three people standing behind it: two women and one man in US Army fatigues and a bleach blonde flattop haircut. The blonde woman has long pigtails, a red beret, and had on a green leotard that leaves very little to the imagination. The other woman wears her hair up in traditional Chinese Ox Tails, has brown leggings over her well-toned legs, and a has on a blue traditional Chinese Qipao dress.
JUBILEE
Who are you guys?
CHUN-LI
We are from an alternate dimension. My name is Chun-Li: Interpol Detective, this is Guile (referencing the male) US Air Force, and Cammy from the British Special Forces unit Delta Red.
CAMMY
We are tracking a criminal named Bison who crossed over into your dimension. We saw him kidnapping a young red-haired girl, but we were too late to stop him.
Before Spider-Man can identify that woman as his "wife" (Mary Jane Watson-Parker) a crash and a door slam are heard just up the stairs. The X-Men, Spider-Man, and the Street Fighters all run up the stairs to see the commotion. They find Quantum desperately struggling to get into his bedroom.
QUANTUM
(Noticing the others approaching)
He went in there and I heard Emma scream. It has some force-field around it. It was some guy in a weird red get-up. He didn't seem real and his hands glowed purple.
GUILE
BISON!
A few moments later the force-field dissipates, and they all enter the room. Emma Frost, just like Mary Jane, is gone.
END SCENE
SCENE: "MAD PLOT"; M. BISON'S WAREHOUSE, SOMEWHERE NEAR TIMES SQUARE IN MIDTOWN MANHATTAN.
Emma Frost opens her eyes and realizes she is shackled to a creepy operating table. She is perpendicular to the ground, so she can see a Plexiglas cell of some kind. A young redhead kneels on the floor sobbing. Emma can't help but feel she knows this woman from somewhere.
EMMA FROST
Hello? Can you hear me? Hello?
It is no use; the Plexiglas is too thick, and the redhead can't hear Emma.
M. BISON
(Coming down the stairs to Emma's left)
Do not waste your breath Miss Frost, she cannot hear you.
EMMA FROST
Who the heck are you and why did you abduct us?
M. BISON
Why my dear, just look up.
Emma looks above her to see a strange device and notices that the table she is shackled to has some big wires running up to the device. Emma's face becomes one of panic.
M. BISON
You see, that is my Psycho Driver. It will allow me to use my Psycho Powers to their full extent in this dimension. The problem is that it needs a power source. Normally it would run on my psychic abilities but those are weak in this dimension. That is where you come in. Miss Watson on the other hand; she is a test. Once the machine is operational, I will test my abilities on her. Sadly, you won't live long enough to see that. Begin the extract…
Before Bison could finish his sentence, Rogue and Spider-Man crash through the metal gate of the warehouse.
SPIDER-MAN
You stay away from her.
EMMA FROST
Oh, that's why that name was so familiar. She's Spider-Man's squeeze. Laughs You're in for it now.
M. BISON
(Annoyed)
Bah! This does not concern me. Even without my Psycho Powers, you are no match for me. THIS PLACE SHALL BECOME YOUR GRAVE!
SPIDER-MAN
Jeez, what's with all these "super" villains and corny death threats?
But as Spider-Man finishes his quip; his spider-sense alerts him to danger. But even that isn't fast enough to match Bison's speed. Bison teleports to right in front of Spider-Man and buries his fist deep into Spider-Man's abs. A purple energy is seen coming out of his back and Bison throws him to the ground knocking Spider-Man out with one punch!
M. BISON
Now for you!
Rogue tries to defend herself and her super strength lets her hold out briefly, but she is soon overwhelmed. Barely conscious she watches Bison float up to the machine and turn it on.
Cut to a flashback of moments earlier where Rogue is telling Spider-Man that she noticed a weird warehouse that did not fit with the glitz of Times Square a week ago. She said she got a creepy feeling being near it. Had Rogue not found this place, who knows what would have become of Emma and Mary Jane.
Rogue again becomes the hero. She removes her gloves but hears Emma scream in pain and the Psycho Driver begins to syphon Emma's psychic energy. She flies up to Bison and takes him by surprise grabbing his face. Bison shrieks as Rogue begins to absorb his powers. He collapses to one knee before successfully pushing Rogue off him. But it is too late. Bison blacks out momentarily. But Rogue screams as she is unable to control Bison's otherworldly powers.
Rogue grits her teeth and manages to pull Emma Frost's shackles off and absorbs some of her powers. Emma tries to shake off the effect of the Psycho Driver but isn't strong enough to free Mary Jane from her prison. Luckily, Rogue helps her with the strength she has left and the small bit of psycho power she just absorbed from M. Bison. Together they manage to hold the door open just long enough for Mary Jane to escape. Mary Jane runs out to Spider-Man who is just waking up.
MARY JANE
(Whispered, so the others can't hear)
Peter!
SPIDER-MAN
MJ? What the?
ROGUE
We need to go, now!
You will pay for that!
Bison (now recovered) staggers forward, ready to engage the X-Men and Spider-Man again. But before he can…
CHUN-LI
Ya, ya, ya, ya, ya!
Chun-Li unleashes her Lightning Legs attack on Bison, finishing him off.
CAMMY
Finally!
GUILE
Bison is defeated! With his soul trapped in this dimension…
M. BISON
(As a spirit)
Not on your lives!
Bison's spirit flies into a suddenly open portal. Guile, Cammy, and Chun-Li look on despondent.
CHUN-LI
Thank you, Rogue. Despite Bison escaping, he will never again be able to threaten reality from this dimension thanks to you. Plus, you gave me the bonus of killing Bison. He may be resurrected eventually but I finally got some measure of revenge for my father and (talking to Guile now) for Charlie.
Guile sadly nods.
CAMMY
Thank you, my friends. We hope that we will get to meet again under better circumstances.
Cammy uses a special device she created to reopen Bison's portal. She, along with Chun-Li and Guile return to their home dimension and the portal closes.
GAMBIT
What did Chun-Li mean that it was all you Cheré?
SPIDER-MAN
Rogue beat Bison single-handily. He knocked me out cold!
QUANTUM
Emma and I may never be able to repay you for this Rogue.
ROGUE
(Blushing)
Shucks Shugah, it wasn't nothin'. His powers sure did a number on me though (rubbing her head).
The X-Men then return to the X-Jet and fly back towards the X-Mansion. Spider-Man changes back into his alter ego, Peter Parker, and he and Mary Jane ride the E-Train back to their home in Forest Hills, Queens.
