Chapter 15: New Companions

Spirit Realm

In a cave two figures found themselves talking to each other.

"So, can you tell me who and why you called us?" A female voice asked with an annoyed tone.

"Not even I can tell you why someone called us now. Everything suddenly seems strange to me." A second female voice responded which was calmer than the first.

"Well, you know how annoying it is to be here! I don't know about you, because I was busy training, then this message arrives telling me to come here urgently so I came here in a hurry, and now, you tell me that we don't know why they called us! What a nuisance!"

"You're always so short tempered, you should at least try to calm down and not lose your temper, that's why you always make hasty decisions and break the rules as usual."

"Stop reminding me always to follow the rules. Because if I remember correctly, you also broke a rule, by helping that human and his friends with the thing of the Duel Spirit Jinzo."

"That occasion was an exception."

"Yes sure, right. Keep making excuses."

"The discussions between you two are always so animated." A third amused voice interrupted them.

The two female figures seemed surprised by who was with them now. "Mana? So are you there too? Maybe you can tell us who and why called us out of the blue like that?!"

"Well, if I'm honest, I was the one who called you." Mana said with slight embarrassment.

"What?!" They both said together in surprise.

"Let me explain. There is a person in the human world tha I would like you two to keep an eye on him." Mana explained. "And actually, I think you two already know him, from that thing in the human world with Jinzo."

"We can't hide anything from you at all." The first figure said.

"It has to do with the boy I helped that time? The human with the red hat?" The second figure hypothesized.

"Exact. Let's say this guy had a difficult past and ended up closing inon himself. I'd like you two to keep an eye on him and tell me everything you see." Mana said to both of them." Can I count on you two? Hiita? Aussa?" She asked to them.

"Well that sound a little boring to do the babysitter, but since you're the one asking I think I'll lend you a hand." The first previously annoyed figure now known as Hiita replied.

"I have to say, I'm quite surprised by this request of yours. But I'll give you a hand too, also because I've always been curious to see the human world and this will help for my research about the humans." The second figure now known as Aussa said.

"Fantastic! You two are the perfect people for this job. I knew I could count on you." Mana thanked them.

Meanwhile in the Human realm, at Duel Academy

Monday

Time 7:00

Red Hat, was in his room at the dorm Slifer red, as he was waking up. Rubbing his eyes he saw that something was missing, or rather someone was missing. "Blair is not here. Who knows were she went thi time." Red Hat thought. He noticed that his PDA was ringing from receiving a message from Blair.

"I went to the card shop. I'll be back shortly before class." The message said.

"Well, at least I know where she is now." He thought before a thought crossed his mind that started to worry him a little. "Knowing her it's not a good thing to leave Blair alone would risk having her identity discovered if she's alone. I would prefer to sleep some more, but it's better go and have a look." Red Hat thought, before walking out of her room and towards the main building.

Time 7:30

Red Hat was walking the halls of the main building to see if Blair was still at the card shop. She noticed she was a little further ahead, but she wasn't alone. Red Hat had seen that Blair seemed to be surrounded by three Obelisk blues, he didn't like the situation at all knowing that they were involved so he immediately headed towards his partner.

"Hey! Give me back my deck!" Blair shouted angrily.

"Why should I do it?" One of the Obelisk blues said as he held Blair's deck in his hand high up so she wouldn't get it back. "A Slifer slacker like you shouldn't be here in the first place." He said in an arrogant tone.

"He is right. Duel Academy is a place for elite like us." The second Obelisk said in a cocky tone.

"It sure isn't a place for people like you." The third Obelisk said too presumptuously.

"I don't care what you three idiots think! Now give me back my deck!" Blair shouted angrily, before taking a running start to try and get her deck back. But she ended up being grabbed by the arms by the two Obelisks who threw her to the ground. The three Obelisk blues laughed at this.

"I have no intention or doing it. These cards with someone like you are wasted, maybe I'll keep your cards and use them as a coaster. Wait, I have a better idea. Maybe I'll throw all of your useless cards in a paper shredder. So you can leave at least this place." He said laughing.

Blair couldn't believe they would destroy his deck just for the fun of it. The deck that she and Red Hat built together, the deck she was getting stronger with.

At that point, someone grabbed the Obelisk's arm and took Blair's deck back from their hands. Then he pushed the three Obelisk blues and they all ended up falling to the ground.

"Who did it? " One of the three murmured.

Blair turned to see who had helped her and immediately reassured herself when she saw that it was Red Hat. "Red Hat! " Blair quickly stood next to him.

"Oh look, another Slifer slacker."

"Other looser out of place." One of the Obelisks taunted as he picked himself up from the ground.

"If there's loosers here, it's you three." Red Hat said amused.

"What did you call us?!"

"You heard me. The real losers here are you. You think you are the best for your position in Obelisk blue which you don't even try to earn, but you buy it with money." Red Hat said as he handed Blair her deck back and stood in front of her to protect her. "You believe you have the right to treat others as inferior to yourself by calling them third-rate duelist when you are so much worse. You are truly pathetic." He added.

"You little..." One of the three Obelisks muttered.

"Wait! I had a feeling I saw him somewhere, now I recognize him! He is that Slifer with the red hat who beats all the Obelisk blues he duels with." The other said.

Hearing these words, the Obelisk who was previously picking on Blair began to smile as an idea came to mind. "Look the luck I have. Now I have the opportunity to prove that you are nothing but a bluff by beating you in a duel. Then everyone at Duel Academy will recognize me as the best."

"Yours are big words. Even the others Obelisks blues thought they were better than me for their rank when they challenged me, see how it turned out." Red Hat said boredly.

"Well if you think you're that strong how about a little handicap for you?" The Obelisk seemed to laugh ominously. "You will have to duel me using your friend's deck."

Blair was completely against this. "Are you kidding? This is too unfair! Red Hat, you don't have to accept this condition!" Blair said worriedly.

Red Hat didn't respond.

"So, what's up big guy? Are you scared?" The Obelisk teased and began to laugh along with the other two.

"I can't stand them anymore!" Blair said angrily, as if she wanted to lash out at the three Obelisk blues, before Red Hat put his hand in front of her motioning for her to stop.

"Don't worry, Blair." Red Hat said trying to calm her down. "I accept this condition for the duel." Red Hat said to the the Obelisk blue.

"But he's only doing it to gain an advantage against you." Blair said.

"I know this very well. But even so, an idiots like them couldn't even beat me even if I use a deck that isn't mine." Red Hat said, pointing to the three Obelisks who heard the insult referred to them and became angry. "Also, you forgot that I helped you build this deck. So, I knew it very well."

However, Blair seemed worried about something and remained silent. After a few seconds the silence was broken by Blair turning to his partner and giving him her deck. "If you think so, good luck." She said smiling confidently.

After a few minutes, they all found themselves at the Duel Arena. With Red Hat and Obelisk inserting decks into the duel disk slot. With Blair watching from one of the seats near the entrance.

"Hurry up guys! I feel that a duel is about to begin!" A voice shouted from afar.

Blair turned to see who it was, and wasn't too surprised when she found Jaden tired from running all the way to the Duel Arena. Seeing Jaden panting with exhaustion made Blair's cheeks blush. "What am I thinking! I'm in love with Zane!" Blair thought as he snapped out of his thoughts, noticing that Syrus, Chumley, Chazz, Bastion, Alexis, and Zane were with him as well. "So, what are you guys doing here?" Blair asked.

"It's a long story, but to make it short, we were on our way to the card shop when Jaden started running saying he felt a duel was about to star." Syrus explained.

"So we ended up following him and ended up here." Chumley added before noticing who was dueling at the time. "Hey, but the one who is about to duel is Red Hat."

This immediately caught Jaden's attention and he seemed to have fully recovered. "What? Red Hat is going to duel? I don't want to miss this!" Jaden stated excitedly.

"What's so special? Watching a duel with that slacker. I am much better than him." Chazz said.

"Not that that's very true." Alexis commented. Remembering how Red Hat defeated Chazz in a single turn. He turned his attention to his opponent, noting that it was a Obelisk blue. "I should have guessed he would duel someone from the blue dorm, as usual." Alexis said looking quite disappointed, thinking that Red Hat was finally changing.

Hearing those words, Blair turned towards. "It is not his fault! Red Hat did nothing!" Blair shouted, angry at Alexis' comment about Red Hat.

His outburst surprised everyone. "Whoa, calm down Blair. Alexis didn't mean anything bad." Jaden said trying to get her to calm down. "But what do you mean? How did this story start?" Jaden asked.

After she calmed down, Blair told everyone what had happened before, and how this is arrived to this duel.

"What?!" Syrus and Chumley exclaimed in shock.

"It's shameful behavior." Bastion commented.

"What a bunch of idiots." Chazz said.

"This kind of behavior makes me ashamed to be in the same dorm." Alexis said, as disappointed by this behavior as her friends were before turning to Blair. "I'm sorry for what I said before, Blair." Alexis apologized to Blair.

"No, I'm the one who's sorry, Alexis. It's all my fault. If I were stronger he wouldn't be in this situation." Blair said feeling guilty.

"You are not to blame for this Blair." Jaden said putting a hand on his shoulder trying to comfort her, getting her attention. "It's those three idiots' fault, not yours. And then it's a simple duel, we all know that Red Hat is a great duelist. He will win effortlessly." He said raising his thumb in confirmation.

"Jaden is right. After all he's using a deck you've built together. He'll know how to use it best." Bastion added.

"But it might be hard even for him this time." Blair said while everyone didn't understand what he meant.

"What do you mean?" Jaden asked confused.

"Today I went to the card shop and bought some packs, some cards seemed useful, so I modified my deck." Blair explained leaving everyone quite surprised.

"You're basically saying that Red Hat is dueling with a different deck than before." Bastion recapped to which Blair only nodded in response.

Everyone was starting to believe that Red Hat's chances of winning were significantly diminished. "Well, then I see no reason to worry." Jaden said drawing the group's attention to him. "I mean, we've seen Red Hat in tough situations and he still managed to get out of them. Frankly the only thing I'm looking forward to now is one of his exciting duels." He said enthusiastically.

Everyone seemed to believe Jaden's words, except for Blair who was still worried about his partner.

Meanwhile, Red Hat and Obelisk activated their duel disks.

DUEL

Red Hat: 8000 LP

Obelisk blue: 8000 LP

"Since I'm feeling generous, I'll let you go first." The Obelisk said defiantly.

Red Hat completely ignored his comment. "It's my turn. I draw!" Red Hat draws.

Hand 6

"I play this spell card, Reinforcement of the Army! I add a level 4 or lower warrior-type monster from the deck to my hand." Red Hat explained as he searched for the card in the deck, noticing something. "Some of these cards weren't in Blair's deck before?" He thought before remembering something. "Wait, she said she went to the card shop, she must have modified the deck. I have to say she did a good job." Red Hat thought, impressed by the changes Blair made to her deck as he chose the card to add to his hand. "I choose D.D. Warrior. I set a monster facedown. I set a card facedown and end my turn." Red Hat ends his turn.

Hand 4

"That's all. I expected much more." The Obelisk scoffed. "Let me show you why I am the best among elites. I draw!" The Obelisk draws.

Hand 6

"I summon Marauding Captain in attack mode! (Atk: 1200 – Def: 400) When he is normal summoned, I can special summon 1 level 4 or lower monster from my hand. Now I special summon, Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke in attack mode! (Atk: 1800 – Def: 1000) Now I activate the continuos spell, The A. Forces! With this, all of my warrior-type monsters gain 200 attack points for each warrior or spellcaster- type monster I control. With two of them on the field, my monsters gain 400 attack points. (Atk: 1200 – 1600 – Def: 400) (Atk: 1800 – 2200 – Def: 1000) Now Marauding Captain, attack his facedown monster!"

The monster knight rushed towards the opposing monster, preparing to strike him with a sword blow. But his attack was blocked by some kind of gelatinous pink mass. The monster that had attacked was Marshmallon. (Atk: 300 – Def: 500) "The monster you attack was Marshmallon. He can't be destroyed by battle, and if you attack this monster, when he was in facedown position, you takke 1000 points of damage." Red Hat explained, while Marshmallon repelled the opposing monster's attack.

Obelisk blue: 8000 – 7000 LP

"Yours is just luck, but with the next attack that won't be the case. Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke attack Marshmallon!"

The ninja warrior moved at great speed towards the opposing monster. "Oh, and just to let you know, when Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke attack a monster in face-up defense position it destroy ita t the start of the damage step." The Obelisk said as Sasuke cut Marshmallon in half using his dagger causing it to explode. "And this is just a taste of my skills."

Red Hat remained silent.

"What's up? to scared to answer?" The Obelisk mocked him.

"The only thing I will say is that I am not impressed by your moves." Red Hat replied with a stoic expression.

The Obelisk seemed annoyed by his response. "Whatever, slacker. I end my turn." The Obelisk ends its turn.

Hand 3

"Well, then it's my turn. I draw!" Red Hat draws.

Hand 5

"I activate Graceful Charity! I draw three cards and then discard two. (discard Shining Angel and Silent Swordsman LV5) I set a monster facedown. Now I activate the continuous spell, Soul Absorption! I set a card facedown and end my turn." Red Hat ends his turn.

Hand 2

"My turn. I draw!" The Obelisk draws.

Hand 4

"I summon Gearfried the Iron Knight in attack mode! (Atk: 1800 – Def: 1600)"

"I activate my facedown card!" Red Hat interrupted him. "Bottomless Trap Hole! This card activates when you summon a monster with 1500 or more attack points. Now your monster is destroyed and then banished." A large hole opened under Gearfried feet, where a large hand grabbed him and dragged him underneath. "There is more. Soul Absorption let me gain 500 life points when a monster is banished."

Red Hat: 8000 – 8500 LP

"If you think that increasing your life points will save you, you are making a big mistake. Marauding Captain, attack his facedown monster!"

Marauding Captain rushes to strike the facedown monster which revealed itself to be D.D. Warrior. (Atk: 1200 – Def: 1000)

"Doing this, D.D. Warrior activates his effect. After the battle, he and the monster he fights are banished." Red Hat explained, while D.D. Warrior opened a hole in the air with his sword, creating a portal where both monsters were sucked back inside. "And just like before, I get 500 life points when a monster is banished with Soul Absorption."

Red Hat: 8500 – 9000 – 9500 LP

"Really not bad his move." Bastion complimented. "He uses the effects of his cards to banish opponent's monsters at the same time he gains life points thanks to Soul Absorption."

"Not to mention that by decreasing the number of warrior-type monsters, he also manages to make the other monsters weaker." Alexis added, remembering the effects of The A. Forces as Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke's attack points decreased. (Atk: 2200 – 2000 – Def: 1000)

"Red Hat is playing very well, even with a deck that isn't his." Jaden said excitedly before turning to Blair. "See Blair, you had nothing to worry about."

"Yeah, you're right." Blair said. Although hearing Jaden's words, she still felt worried for Red Hat.

"You seem to have forgotten, I still have Sasuke to attack you with, which I will do now!" The ninja warrior lunged at Red Hat, slashing at him with his daggers.

Red Hat: 9500 – 7500 LP

"I think I've punished you enough for now." The Obelisk ends his turn.

Hand 3

"Are you ready to surrender, Slifer slacker." The second Obelisk blue taunted him.

"Yeah! There is no chance you can win! You just have to be lucky so far." The third Obelisk blue added.

Red Hat completely ignored their comments as he was about to begin his turn. "My turn. I draw!" Red Hat draws.

Hand 3

"I play Pot of Greed, that allow me to draw 2 cards. I summon Silent Magician LV4 in attack mode! (Atk: 1000 – Def: 1000)"

"What do you think you're doing with that little monster."

"How about to shut up now!" Red Hat blurted out. "Also, I haven't finished. I activate the spell card Level Up! I send Silent Magician LV4 to the graveyard and special summon from my deck Silent Magician LV8! (Atk: 3500 – Def: 1000)" Silent Magician was engulfed in a vortex of light, and out emerged a version more adult, and feminine ready to fight.

"Yeah! That's Blair's strongest monster!" Jaden cheered.

"But I don't stop here. I summon D.D. Assailant in attack mode! (Atk: 1700 – Def: 1600) Then I play Smashing Ground to destroy your monster!" A giant fist fell from the sky and crushed Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke. "Now my teo monsters attack you directly!" Silent Magician charged a beam of blue light from his scepter which he fired at the Obelisk, while Assailant slashed with his giant sword.

Obelisk blue: 7000 – 3500 – 1800 LP

"I end my turn." Red Hat ends his turn.

Hand 0

"This is crazy, how did he do that?" Syrus asked in disbelief.

"Absolutely what I would have done." Chumley said.

"Nice comeback, Red Hat!" Jaden shouted excitedly.

"I don't see anything incredible about it." Chazz commented.

"The adaptability that Red Hat demonstrates with decks with multiple different themes is truly excellent." Bastion said impressed.

Meanwhile, Blair could breathe a sigh of relief, she had calmed down seeing how the duel was going.

But the Obelisk blue instead began to go into a rage. "How dare you humiliate me! Rest assured that will not go unpunished!" He shouted angrily. "I draw!" The Obelisk draws.

Hand 4

"I play Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards. Now I activate this spell card, Lightning Vortex! I discard one card from my hand to destroy all of your face-up monsters!" Black clouds formed above the arena, hurling a storm of lightning at Red Hat's monsters and destroying them. "Now I play monster Reborn to special summon from my graveyard the monster I just discarded. Say hello to Freed the Matchless General! (Atk: 2300 – Def: 1700) But he won't be alone, because I summon another Marauding Captain in attack mode! (Atk: 1200 – Def: 400) And as if that weren't enough, the effect of my continuous spell The A. Forcesi s still active. My monsters gains 400 attack points. (Atk: 2300 – 2700 – Def: 1700) (Atk: 1200 – 1600 – Def: 400) Now Freed the Matchless General and Marauding Captain attack you directly!" Both warrior monsters struck Red Hat with their swords.

Red Hat: 7500 – 4800 – 3200 LP

"Hahaha! See how you are reduced now. On my next turn, I'll finish you off once and for all. I end my turn." The Obelisk ends his turn.

Hand 1

"Red Hat better draw something useful on his turn or the duel will be over for him." Bastion pointed out.

"I can't believe it! That slacker manages to beat me but gets cornered by an ordinary guy! Him is better not lose to that guy!" Chazz shouted.

Zane and Alexis meanwhile watched the duel.

"It's all my fault. He wouldn't be in this situation if he was using his deck instead of mine." Blair said.

"Hey! All of you stop assuming that Red Hat will lose the duel!" Jaden said in a loud voice interrupting everyone's thoughts by bringing their attention to himself, before turning to Blair. "You can rest assured Blair. You will see Red Ha twill be able to win." Seeing Jaden so close, Blair's face turned a little red but she didn't think anything of it. She was more focused on his friend and Jaden's words gave her some confidence back.

"It's my turn. I draw!" Red Hat draws.

Hand 1

"I set a card facedown and end my turn." Red Hat ends his turn, keeping his head down with his hat covering his face.

Hand 0

"Well, it's time to put an end to this story." The Obelisk said smiling mischievously. "I knew that yours up until now had onle been luck. But now I will prove that you are nothing but a bluff and that I am worthy of being part of the elite. Freed the Matchless General activates his effect. When he is face-up on the field I can add from my deck to my hand a level 4 or lower warrior-type monster instead of draw. So I can add Command Knight to my hand!"

Hand 2

"I summon Command Knight in attack mode! (Atk: 1200 – Def: 1900) With another warrior-type monster, The A. Forces give to my monsters more attack points. (Atk: 2700 – 2900 – Def: 1700) (Atk: 1600 – 1800 – Def: 400) (Atk: 1200 – 1800 – Def: 1900) And to make your situation worse as long as Command Knight is on the field all of my face-up warrior-type monster gains 400 attack points. (Atk: 2900 – 3300 – Def: 1700) (Atk: 1800 – 2200 – Def: 400) (Atk: 1800 – 2200 – Def: 1900) Fear the formation of my monsters. Freed the Matchless General put that Slifer to it's place! Attack him directly!" Freed drew his sword and charged at Red Hat.

Meanwhile, Red Hat still kept his head down.

"Oh no!" Syrus said scared.

"If this attack passes, Red Hat will lose!" Chumley shouted.

At the last second, Red Hat raised his head to show that he was smiling. "I activate my facedown card! Mirror Force! All of your face-up monsters in attack position are destroyed!" A barrier was created in front of Red Hat, the opponent monster hit that, reflecting his attack destroying him along with the other two monsters on the Obelisk field.

"No way!" The Obelisk said in disbelief.

"As I said before I'm not impressed by your moves." Red Hat said.

The Obelisk became angered by his comment. "As if it would change the situation you are in now. You are low life points and no cards in your hand. In the next turn be sure I'll finish you off! I end my turn!" The Obelisk ends its turn.

Hand 1

Red Hat shrugged, completely ignoring the Obelisk's words. "It's my turn. I draw!" Red Hat draws.

Hand 1

As soon as he saw the card he drew, Red Hat began to smile.

"Way are you smiling? Hurry up! So I can start my next turn!" The Obelisk said growing impatient.

"You won't have a next turn. Because I'm about to end this duel now." Red Hat said.

"There is no way you can win with just one card in your hand! You're lying!"

"I summon D.D. Warrior Lady in attack mode! (Atk: 1500 – Def: 1600) Now attack him directly!" At his command, the female warrior drew her sword, slashing at the Obelisk.

Obelisk blue: 1800 – 300 LP

"And you said you were to end this duel now. I still have life points and now it's my turn, you failed. But in the end it's not like a Slifer like you had a chance against someone like me. I understand why you were placed with the others drop out boys." The Obelisk said teasing Red Hat.

"That slacker first says he will end the duel, instead nothing. What he was thinking?" Chazz said annoyed.

"I have to say that I didn't expect it either, maybe he was bluffing." Bastion surmised.

"No. Knowing Red Hat, he sure wasn't doing that." Alexis said.

"In fact. He's going to win. I'm sure of it." Jaden said smiling confidently in his words.

"Jaden is right." Zane agreed with him leaving everyone confused as to what they meant.

Blair of all people was confused by this. She was wondering how it was possible for Red Hat to win with her deck now.

"But I understand how someone like you can be placed in the Blue Obelisk. You and many others buy your position without even trying to earn it. You believe you deserve to be praised for being the best, when in reality you are the exact opposite." Red Hat said.

"What? You dare still talk to some of the elite like this?! I'm tired of you! End your turn so I can finish you off!" The Obelisk shouted angry.

"And that's where you're wrong. I can still do something, since you forgot my face down card that I placed at the beginning of the duel." Red Hat pointed to his facedown card. "I activate a trap card! D.D. Dynamite! You take 300 points of damage for every of your banished cards. With 2 cards ypu take 600 points of damage, which are more than enough to finish you off." Red Hat explained. At that point a bomb appeared in front of the Obelisk and exploded, causing it to fall to the ground.

Obelisk blue: 300 – 0 LP

"It's not possible! How did I lose the duel!" The Obelisk shouted while the other two were just as shocked as him.

Red Hat walked away from the arena to where Blair was, finding her with Jaden and his friends.

"That was such a sweet duel, Red Hat!" Jaden said excitedly to his friend.

"It was no big deal." Chazz said.

"What a win, Red Hat." Syrus congratulated.

"Totally licious." Chumley said.

"It's true. You managed to achieve a victory despite conditions being against you." Bastion praised him.

"Guys, guys, you're giving me compliments that I don't deserve." Red Hat said as he removed the deck from the duel disk slot. "The real credit goes to this deck." He said walking over to Blair handing him his deck.

"Thank you." Blair thanked him and took her deck back.

"You've improved, Blair. You were able to edit your deck efficiently from what I've seen, really not bad. " Red Hat complimented Blair. "You're a better duelist than even most of Obelisk blue. If you had dueled instead of me I'm sure you would have managed to win."

Hearing his words, Blair's face turned red with embarrassment for his compliment. "It's only because you were there to give me advice to improve myself." Blair replied shyly.

"Hey! You Slifer Slacker!" Shouted the Obelisk who had lost the duel. "I want a rematch! The only reason you managed to win was because you used a deck that wasn't yours otherwise I would have won!"

"You are really pathetic." Was the only thing Red Hat said.

"What did you say?!"

"You heard me. I said you are really pathetic." Red Hat said turning to the Obelisk.

"How dare you!" The Obelisk said furiously.

"Blaming the deck you used for the outcome of the duel, instead of your poor dueling skills. That just proves that all I say about most of you Obelisk blue is right. You believe yourself to be the best for your position but you can't accept that someone from a lower rank dormi s stronger than you." Red Hat said.

"How dare you disrespect us!" The second Obelisk said.

"Yeah, you should stay to your place with the other losers like you!" The third Obelisk said.

"Believe that everything is allowed for you for your rank even picking on others. Let's get one thing straight. It doesn't matter which of you challenges me to a duel, it doesn't matter on what condition, because if you challenge me to a duel I will show you what I'm truly capable." Said Red Hat who was back above the Duel Arena speaking in the direction of the three Obelisk blues. At that moment he remembered how those three had been picking on Blair earlier. Anger began to grow inside him, but this time it was different. It's true that when he saw someone from Obelisk blue with his superior attitude he got angry. But this time the anger he felt was much stronger as he clenched his fists as tight as he could. "One last thing. If I just see you picking on some of my friends, know that next time I won't hold back at all." He said angrily. Red Hat seemed to exude an aura of pure anger that the Obelisk in front of him trembled in fear. "And that goes for you two too." He said turning to the other two Obelisks before all three ran away.

"How scary." Cyrus and Chumley said, scared too.

"There's no way to change his attitude." Alexis said.

"But this time it's for a justified reason." Bastion said.

Meanwhile, Red Hat approached the group as if nothing had happened.

"Don't you think you were a little too harsh on them?" Bastion asked.

"Those guy deserved a lesson, I just showed them who was really strong." Red Hat replied.

"You were still very good. That was a sweet duel." Jaden said.

"Thanks Jaden. But now, if you want excuse me, I want to go to the card shop before going to class. See you later." He waved goodbye to Red Hat before leaving.

"Wait for me." Blair said as she followed him.

"Man, that slacker is an exhibitionist." Chazz commented annoyed.

"You're the last person to say something like that." Bastion replied.

"Well, we know what Red Hat is like." Chumley said.

"Yep, a fantastic duelist. I can't wait to duel him again. I want to ask him a rematch." Jaden said excited just at the idea.

"That's not the point, Jaden." Syrus said.

"What do you think, Zane?" Alexis asked.

Zane closed his eyes before reopening them to respond. "It seems that Red Hat continues to behave like an animal. But this time is different from the others. It seems that he did to protect a friend. Sure, he says to do the same with Jaden, but with that boy it's different. I can only assume the same thing I said the other time, with him might help him to calm down." Zane explained.

Meanwhile, no one had noticed that someone else had been observing the whole affair.

Time 7:45

Blair and Red Hat were at the card shop, with the latter opening booster packs, and putting cards he got inside the deck box even though he seemed disappointed with what he got. "Only a few cards that are playable."

"You didn't get what you wanted?" Blair asked sitting next to him.

"I'm not exactly lucky today. I only got very few cards that are playable." Red Hat replied.

"You know, maybe you should lower your standards and think about enjoying a duel." Blair said.

"You know I wouldn't change the way I do things, I do it to show how seriously I take dueling."

Blair seemed annoyed by his words, but she seemed to notice something from what he said. "Why when he talks about it he seems very angry and sad. It's as if he's speaking more for something personal than to prove what he's saying." She thought. "Have you always thought of it this way?" Blair asked.

Red Hat seemed hesitant to respond with anything about the past he was trying to forget. "Let's say that something happened to me as a child, but from that moment I began to take Duel Monsters more seriously."

"If you're like that it's no wonder most people here don't like you." Blair said exasperatedly.

Red Hat just shrugged at his words as he put his cards away. "Like I care what other people think of me. There's a reason I don't like people like Obelisk blue and I don't want to join or become like them." He said before starting to walk away.

Blair still remained in her seat thinking about what Red Hat had just said. "I may not know you very well, but I know part of you doesn't really think so. I would like to understand what happened to you to help you." I think of her before following Red Hat.

Neither of them realized that they had been observed the entire time by two spirits.

"Wow, what a character tha boy has. I like it." Hiita said.

"I believe you like that demeanor, you like it because the same you have." Aussa replied.

"I still wonder why Mana asked us to keep an eye on him?" Hiita asked.

"I don't understand it either, but that boy intrigues me. I know he has an aggressive nature but he seems to have a good side too as he protected his friend today." Aussa said thinking back to what they had seen today. "Enough for today. Let's go back to Mana and tell her what we saw."

"Okay, let's go." Hiita agreed before she and Aussa disappeared.

Time 16:00

Another day of classes had ended, with the last one being an alchemy lesson from Professor Banner.

"Well students, class it's over you can go." Banner said.

"Another lesson of Banner is over." Blair said.

"Yeah, I'll take a nap as soon as we get back to the dorm." Red Hat said looking tired.

"Red Hat, can you come here for a moment?" Professor Banner called Red Hat before he left. "I have to tell you something important."

Red Hat was confused by this, wondering what he wanted to tell him. So he went towards the professor. "What did you want to tell me, Professor Banner?" He asked him.

"I wanted to let you know that Chancellor Sheppard wanted to speak to you after class." Banner explained.

"The Chancellor Sheppard? Why does he want to see me?" Red Hat asked.

"I don't know. He just told me to let you know this." Banner replied.

"Alright. Thanks for letting me know." Red Hat said as he left. He wondered why Sheppard wanted to see him so suddenly, he was so deep in thought that he didn't realize he was near Blair.

"So? What did Banner want to tell you?" Blair asked him.

Blair's question brought him out of his thoughts. "Only that Chancellor Sheppard wanted to see me now." Red Hat revealed.

"What? Why Chancellor Sheppar want to see you now?" Blair asked in surprise.

"I don't know, but I'd better go. Blair, you go back to the dorm."

"Are you sure?" Blair asked, starting to get a little worried.

"Don't worry. It won't be long." Red Hat reassured her before leaving.

Time 16:15

Red Hat walked through the corridors of the main building, arriving at Chancellor Sheppard's office door, which he knocked on.

"Come in." A voice said from the other side of the door.

At those words, Red Hat entered.

"Oh, Red Hat, you have arrived." Sheppard said with a gentle expression.

"Did you want to see me, Chancellor Sheppard?" Red Hat asked, getting straight to the heart of the matter.

At that moment the expression on Chancellor Sheppard's face became serious. "Yes, there's something I want to talk with you."

"Talk about what?" Red Hat asked not understanding what he was referring to.

"Listen Red Hat, I know about the Obelisks you dueled today, I even know about the others you have been conflicted until today in the last few months." Sheppard explained.

Red Hat realized what he was referring to and frowned at his words. "I'm just proving to them thst even a Slifer red like me can beat them. It doesn't matter what rank you have, it only matters what skills you have, and I refuse to give in to spoiled idiots like them who are in the top dorm just because they bought their position."

"Not everyone is like you say, plus you also have the opportunity to become a Ra yellow or even an Obelisk blue, you could prove them wrong in that way." Sheppard tried to reason with him.

Red Hat had to keep from laughing at this. "Ra yellow, is not bad but it doesn't suit me. Obelisk blue as I said I don't want to have anything to do with people who think they are superior to others and think they have the right to pick on others."

Sheppard expected such a response from him. "As I said, not everyone is what you think. Take Zane for example he takes dueling seriously but still respects his opponents. Or Jaden who manages to have fun during his duels. Chazz, Bastion and Alexis also are like this."

"On them I can agree with you, but on the others we don't seem to agree. So if that's was the only thing you wanted to I think that I can go back to my dorm." Said Red Hat who was starting to leave the room.

"This is not what Kazuki wanted. He hoped that coming to Duel Academy would help you." Sheppard told him.

Hearing that name from Sheppard was as if Red Hat froze, after a few seconds he turned to Sheppard with a shocked look. "How do you know that name?"

"Because I know your father, Kazuki Takahashi." Sheppard responded. "He thought that by coming here you could change."

Red Hat was a little surprised by this before replying to Sheppard. "Sure as not, he only remembers his son when he's not around." He said sarcastically.

"It's not like that. He's actually very worried about you." Sheppard said with a sympathetic look.

Red Hat remained silent, seeming hesitant to believe those words. Most of the time his father wasn't home, he wasn't even there before he left for Duel Academy. A few seconds passed before he broke the silence. "How do you know him?" Red Hat asked Sheppard.

Sheppard narrowed his eyes for a few seconds, leaned back in his chair, and faced the window of his office before reopening them and answering. "Kazuki Takahashi was very well know at the time, he was a pro duelist well known for winning the World Championship in recent years shortly after joining the pro circuit. Some thought he could be the next King of Games. I met him when I was still teaching the cyber style at the time, before handing the cards to Zane."

Red Hat remembered those cards, the same ones Zane had used in the duel between them. He remembered that his father told him that he had met the master who taught the Cyber style at the time but he didn't expect that person to be Chancellor Sheppard.

"I was quite surprised when he told me he was from the Satellite." Sheppard said turning to Red Hat.

Hearing those words, Red Hat took on a look as if he were defeated and displeased. Hearing that Chancellor Sheppard knew he was from there, he expected him to say horrible things to him because he was from an area where mostly criminals came from. "So, are you going to tell me I'm a horrible person because I'm from there, if so save it because I've heard it so many times before."

In that instant the expression on Sheppard's face changed to a gentle smile. "It doesn't matter where you're from, I just care that my students are okay. That is the most important thing to me."

Red Hat was quite surprised by this. Most of the time when someone heard that he was from the Satellite they told him that he was horrible, but Chancellor Sheppard didn't, he didn't expect that he would say such kind words to them.

"Red Hat, I know what happened to you in the past and I understand that it is something painful for you. It's because of what happened to you in the past that you abandoned your real name." Sheppard said.

Red Hat was stunned by the discovery of this news, he didn't expect his father to trust Chancellor Sheppard so much by finishing telling him about his past.

"Look, I understand that you hate the behavior of students who pick on lower class students, you're not the first to point this out. But you are turning your negative emotions against them and acting the same way. I know you want to become a pro duelist in the future. But if you keep going like this you won't get very far. I know you're actually a good person, Red Hat. The last thing I want is for you to get in trouble. That's why I'm trying to help you." Sheppard explained.

Red Hat remained silent as he considered everything Sheppard had told him. "So he was trying to help me?" After a few seconds, Red Hat turned to Sheppard. "I'll keep that in mind Chancellor. I will try to calm down."

"Alright, you're dismissed, Red Hat." Sheppard said, with the student leaving his office with Sheppard watching. "I know you will make the right choice Red Hat, but you will have to face the hatred within you first." Chancellor Sheppard thought.

Meanwhile, as Red Hat was leaving the main building he continued to think about what Sheppard had told him. He wondered if he was really behaving like the people he hates.

Time 19:00

Red Hat had gone to the lighthouse and was still thinking about what Sheppard had told him today. He finally returned to his dorm room noticing that Blair wasn't there. "She must have come down for dinner already. Well, I'll take a nap first and then see if there's anything left." Red Hat thought before falling asleep on the bed until something incredible happened to him.

Spirit Realm

Red Hat suddenly woke up, but was no longer in his room, but was in a large, illuminated cave. "Where did I end up?" He wondered confusedly trying to figure out where he was. After looking at himself warily he noticed small figures behind the rocks who seemed to be looking at him curiously from a distance. Taking a few steps closer, Red Hat recognized the figures behind the rocks as several low-level Duel Monsters.

Red Hat was in disbelief at what he saw. "This has to be a dream. There's no way I'm seeing real Duel Monsters." After a sudden movement in slight confusion, they backed away from him as if frightened. "Hey, wait up..."

"I don't think they will go near someone as hostile as you." A female voice said.

Red Hat turned to see where the voice was coming from. He saw a group of three girls approaching him. One was a tall girl with tan skin with brown hair and green eyes, wearing beige clothes. Another was shorter, with brown eyes and short, messy brown hair. He wore squared glasses. He was wearing a brown robe with a green shirt underneath, blue trousers and brown boots. He was holding a staff with a brown gem on the tip. The other was a female figure who was also short, with short red hair. With similar clothes to the other short girl but it was a brown robe open with a black bra and her belly out, she had a brown belt, a short black skirt, and brown boots. She also had a brown staff but the gem was red.

"Can you tell me where I am?" Red Hat asked.

"You are in the Spirit Realm now. Don't worry, your body is safe right now." The brown haired girl said as she adjusted her glasses.

"What do you mean by that? And may I know who you three are?" Red Hat asked.

"Oh, you're right, we haven't introduced ourselves yet. My name is Mana." The older girl introduced herself.

"My name is Aussa the Earth Charmer but you can call me just Aussa." The girl with glasses now known as Aussa introduced herself.

"And I am Hiita the Fire Charmer, but you can just call me Hiita." The red haired girl now known as Hiita said.

"Okay, aside from the fact I know your names now, would you like to tell me why I ended up in this place?" Red Hat asked, growing slightly impatient.

Mana and Aussa giggled at his reaction while Hiita only smiled. "You are in our world because we had to keep an eye on you. You are someone with uncommon power and abilities, but you let these abilities of yours become tainted by your hatred." Mana explained.

Red Hat sighed at her words. "Look, I'm just showing these idiots who think they're better than everyone else, I'm just showing them how terrible they are."

"Can't you see it at all?" Aussa interrupted.

"What do you mean I can't see it?"

"That you behave the same way as those people you seem to hate." Aussa replied.

"They're just spoiled brats who think they're allowed anything. They will stop at nothing to look the best, even with the most underhanded methods. They deserve all the beating they get." Red Hat said frowning.

"I like his way of doing." Hiita said rather smugly.

"I know you like that way of acting since it's the same as yours. That's why you always get into trouble." Aussa said.

"Do you really think that's the right way?" Mana asked. Some of the Duel Spirits approached her and she started petting them and they seemed to like it. "Thi doesn't just apply to people, but also to you treating your cards the same way. You may also see the Duel Spirits, but they too perceive your hatred, are afraid of it and decide not to show themselves."

Red Hat now seemed annoyed by what Mana was trying to imply. "If you're asking me to be nice to those kinds of people then forget it. I won't change the way I am."

Mana pouted at how things were going, but then she got an idea that seemed to amuse her too. "Since you don't understand my words like this, how about you do in the simplest way you know?"

"What do you mean?" Red Hat asked.

At that moment a strong light began to shine near Mana, a few seconds after the light faded away on her left arm was a duel disk. "With a duel." Mana said amused.

Red Hat was completely amazed by what she had done. "How did you manage to do that?"

"You just have to focus and imagine that you have your duel disk with your deck." Mana replied.

Red Hat seemed hesitant to believe his words, but did as she told to him. He began to imagine that he had his duel disk and a light began to shine near him as before and a duel disk appeared on his arm. "It worked."

"I want to test your skills personally." Mana said.

"Hey! Wait a sec!" They were interrupted by Hiita who shouted loudly. "Why does it have to be Mana to duel with him? I want to duel with this guy!"

"Don't start now, Hiita." Aussa said putting a hand on her shoulder. "You know well that the best person for this task is Mana."

The fire charmer glared at the two who were about to duel, before lowering his head in defeat and then puffing out his cheeks. "But it's not right." She murmured under her breath as she walked away.

At that point the two received a nod from Aussa to say they could begin their duel.

"Sorry for the interruption. Then, let's begin." Mana said getting into position.

"Sure. I will show you what I can do." Red Hat said as he activated his duel disk.

DUEL

Red Hat: 8000 LP

Mana: 8000 LP

"I'll go first. I draw!" Red Hat draws.

Hand 6

"I activate Graceful Charity! I draw three cards and discard two. (discards Apprentice Magician and Magical Merchant) I banish Apprentice Magician and Magical Merchant from my graveyard to special summon Chaos Sorcerer! (Atk: 2300 – Def: 2000)" Purple flames formed in the middle of the field, and after those flames dissipated the Chaos Sorcerer appeared, his presence seemed to frighten the other Duel Spirits.

"He owns the monster of chaos. This boy seems full of surprise." Hiita said looking impressed and amused.

"On this we agree. It's not easy to have that kind of power under control, but he seems able to do it." Aussa agreed, she too was impressed.

"I set a monster facedown. I set a card facedown and end my turn." Red Hat ends his turn.

Hand 3

"Then it's my turn. I draw!" Mana draws.

Hand 6

"I activate this spell card, Graceful Charity! This card allow me to draw three cards then I have to discard two." Mana draws her cards and then discards two. "I activate Dark Hole! All the monsters on the field are destroyed." Mana said with a smile as a large black hole had appeared above the field and sucked in the Red Hat monsters. "Then, I activate Mystical Space Typhoon! I destroy your facedown card." Strong gusts of wind blew and destroyed Red Hat's facedown card. "I summon Magician's Valjyria in attack mode! (Atk: 1600 – Def: 1800) Then I activate the equip-spell Premature Burial. I pay 800 life points, to special summon another Magician's Valkyria from my graveyard."

Mana: 8000 – 7200 LP

"Now both of Magician's Valkyrua attack you directly! Mystic Scepter Blast!" Both spellcasters fired a blast of green energy from their scepters which hits Red Hat.

Red Hat: 8000 – 6400 – 4800 LP

"And just to remind you, when Magician's Valkyria is on the field, you can't target face-up spellcaster-type monsters for attacks, except this one, with two of them you can't attack. With this I end my turn." Mana ends her turn.

Hand 2

"That boy is already in an unfavorable situation." Hiita commented.

"Yeah, if he wants to have any chance he'll have to give his best." Aussa replied.

"It's my turn. I draw!" Red Hat draws.

Hand 4

"I activate Pot of Greed to draw two cards. Then I play the spell card, Smashing Ground to destroy one of your Magician's Valkyria." A giant fist fell from the sky and struck one of the two Mana spellcasters, destroying it. "I banish Chaos Sorcerer and Magician of Faith to special summon Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning! (Atk: 3000 – Def: 2500)" The chaos warrior appeared on Red Hat's side of the field, the little spirits looked more scared than before, while Mana, Aussa and Hiita looked very impressed.

"He also has one of the strongest Chaos Monsters?" Aussa said surprised.

"I have to say ita gain, this guy is full of surprises, he comes up with one after another." Hiita said amused.

"I'm starting to understand why Mana asked us to keep an eye on him." Aussa thought in his mind.

"Really not bad." Mana complimented, smiling.

"The best is coming now. Black Luster Soldier, attack Magician's Valkyria! Chaos Sword Slash!" The chaos warrior charged his sword which glowed with a blue light, heading towards the Mana monster striking it with his sword.

Mana: 7200 – 5800 LP

"When Black Luster Soldier destroys a monster by battle, he can make a second attack. Attack her directly! Chaos Sword Slash!" The chaos warrior charged once more, striking Mana with his sword.

Mana: 5800 – 2800 LP

"I set two cards facedown and end my turn." Red Hat ends his turn.

Hand 1

"Alright, it's my turn. I draw!" Mana draws.

Hand 3

"I activate the spell card, Pot of Greed. With this I draw two cards." As soon as Mana drew her cards she couldn't help but smile more than before. "I play Heavy Storm. All of your spell and trap cards are destroyed." Strong gusts of wind blew, destroying Red Hat's facedown cards, which were Mirror Force and Bottomless Trap Hole. "I activate Monster Reborn! I special summon from my graveyard the monster I previously discarded with Graceful Charity. Say hello to Dark Magician of Chaos! (Atk: 2800 – Def: 2600)" The chaos mage had appeared on Mana's side of the field.

"Looks like Mana has decided to get serious." Hiita said.

"I just hope this is enough to make him understand what we wanted to tell him." Aussa said.

"With Dark Magician of Chaos effect, I can bring back a spell card from my graveyard to my hand. I choose Pot of Greed, that I play now, so I can draw two cards. I activate the equip-spell Snatch Steal! I equip it to your Black Luster Soldier and take the control of him." Black Luster Soldier tried to resist, but eventually gave in due to the effect of the spell card and crossed over to Mana's side of the field.

"Dammit!" Red Hat said, seeing that he had nothing to protect him.

"Now I attack you directly with your monster!" Black Luster Soldier rushed towards Red Hat, slashing at him with his sword.

Red Hat: 4800 – 1800 LP

"Dark Magician of Chaos, go! Chaos Scepter Blast!" The Chaos magician raised his staff, creating a sphere of dark magical energy that struck Red Hat, knocking him to the ground.

Red Hat: 1800 – 0 LP

"I can't believe it. I...I've lost." Red Hat said in disbelief.

At that moment Mana approached him smiling at him. "I hope now you understand the message we have tried to tell you."

"What do you mean?" Red Hat asked. "That I mistake how I treat others even if they are self-centered, or how I play my cards. If that's what you're trying to tell me then I'll say it for the last time, I won't change who I am."

"You really are a stubborn fellow." Aussa joked as he and Hiita walked over to them. "You are just like Hiita with your aggressive and impulsive character."

"Hey! Don't make fun of me!" Hiita blurted out.

Mana laughed at this scene before turning to Red Hat again. "The point of this duel was to let you know that you have great power and abilities, but you don't use them right. You may think you are cold and aloof but you have neverthless bonded not only with your friends but also with some spirits." Mana explained as some transparent spirit-like presences seemed to appear next to her. After a few seconds I will take on the appearance of Black Luster Soldier and Chaos Sorcerer, the chaos monsters that red Hat use.

"What?" Red Hat said amazed to see them before they disappeared.

"Chaos monsters spirits are strong but due to your weak bond with the spirits they cannot fully manifest to you like others. But it's not just them." Mana said as a small figure hidden behind her came out, it was the duel spirit Dandylion approaching Red Hat.

"Dandylion? Is it really him?" Red Hat asked in disbelief as the duel spirit continued to watch him.

Aussa laughed at this scene. "You know, even if you say you won't change you still tied to Dandylion. Because he knows you have a good side, as I do, otherwise he would never have attached himself to you."

"Don't talk like you know me. You don't know anything about me." Red Hat said frowning at Aussa's words.

"Trust me, she knows what she's talking about." Hiita interrupted him. "Who do you think helped you during that thing with Jinzo?"

Red Hat was confused by his words, but after a few seconds a thought began to form in his mind. When he and Jaen were chasing Jinzo, a voice had told him where the duel spirit was. "But soo..." Red Hat thought as he turned to the Earth Charmer. "The voice I had heard that time, was it you?"

"Yes, exactly." Aussa replied.

"Red Hat." Mana called out to him. "I understand part of your point, but that's not just why are you try to prove your point by force is it?"

Red Hat sighed before answering. "Where I'm from no matter what you do, I'm constantly looked down upon as an inferior person, even as a duelist. At the time, I didn't have the cards I have now, I had to look for them by buying as many pack sas I could or by participating in tournaments. When I created my chaos deck and I was dueling, some people said to me 'You're to strong for me, or obiouvsly you win, with the card you have.' I understood that I would not lower my standards to please others, especially those who first think they are the best and then just make excuse for losing." Red Hat explained, not telling to them the other part of his past.

Mana understood that there was something she wasn't telling him, just as Aussa and Hiita understood it too, they decided not to elaborate if it was too painful for him to talk about it.

"This explains why you became like this." Mana said looking at him. "But you can't see that you are making the same mistake the others do. All you do is spread the hate you have against others."

"Not everything always stays the same." Hiita said.

"Times change. The duel was a way for you to understand the important values. You have good qualities, I know that, but you let see your bad side instead. The value of peoples and cards or the importance of bonds you will have to understand yourself. That's al we can tell you." Aussa said.

Red Hat thought hard about the words they had said to him. "How do I go back?" He asked.

Mana smiled before pointing to a glowing portal between the stalagmites. "Go through that portal and you will return to your world."

Red Hat approached the portal before stopping and turning towards the three girls. "I don't know what to say about this that happened to me, you gave me a lot to think about, but other than that, it was nice to know you three. Mana, Aussa, Hiita. I hope to meet you again." He said waving at them before entering the portal.

Aussa and Hiita were waving at him.

Mana turned to the two girls. "You two know what to do. He will have to understand these values or else the power he possesses will be misused."

"We will do the possible." Aussa and Hiita responded at the same time.

Aussa stared at where Red Hat had previously been. "Protect the persons important to you that you share a bond with them, only when you understand this you will find the happines. We will be there to help you... partner."

Time 20:00

Red Hat woke up suddenly, his heart pounding. He put a hand on his chest trying to calm down and put his thoughts in order. "What I saw was a dream, right?"

At that moment, Blair had entered the room with a tray of food. "Oh, you were here then. Here, I didn't know when you'd back so I saved up some of the dinner." Blair said giving him the tray of food.

"Thanks for doing it, Blair." Red Hat said as he picked up the tray and began to eat.

While Red Hat was eating, Blair noticed that there were four cards near him that caught his attention. "Hey Red Hat, are these cards yours?" Blair asked showing him the cards. The four cards were Aussa the Earth Charmer, Familiar-Possessed – Aussa, Hiita the Fire Charmer and Familiar-Possessed – Hiita.

Seeing those cards, Red Hat started choking on the food he was eating before taking the four cards. "Those cards weren't in my deck!" He said shouting out loud. "I don't understand anything anymore. Does that mean it wasn't a dream?" He wondered in his mind.

"Of course not." Hiita's voice said. Red Hat looked around for who it was but it was only him and Blair in the room.

At that moment, Aussa and Hiita appeared above him, but their bodies seemed to be transparent. "Calm down, only you can hear or see us." Aussa said.

"What's happening?" Red Hat asked immediately.

"Well, let's say Mana asked us the favor of keeping a close eye on you." Hiita said.

"So from now on we are partners." Aussa concluded.

"What?!"

Blair meanwhile was looking at Red Hat with a confused look. "Hey, are you alright?" She asked. After a few seconds he began to smile deviously. "Don't tell me, that's your idol card."

At those words Red Hat's face had turned red and he tried to cover it with his hat. "W-what?! What goes through your head, as if I could waste time on such nonsense!" He tried to deny it.

Blair laughed at his reaction. "Wow, who knew the bad Red Hat had this kind of preferences for his cards."

"Shut up!" Red Hat shouted.

"You know you're basically admitting that this is the case." Blair said amused. Before Red Hat started trying to catch her, as she started running away.

Meanwhile Aussa and Hiita watched the chase and were amused by it.

"The thing are heading up." Hiita joked.

"Yes, but you have to admit that it is interesting to see him like this." Aussa said as he looked at Red Hat. "Well, even it from what we see, he already has someone to protect." He said remembering what Red Hat did with the Obelisk blues who were picking on Blair today.

"You're right. Perhaps this task will be easy." Hiita said.

"I wish that were the case, but I don't think it will be so easy, knowing him. But then that's why we're here." Aussa replied.

Here are the new chapter. I was eagerly waiting to get around to writing this chapter. The first part served to show Blair's growth as a duelist as she modified her deck on her own, and also to show the bond between her and Red Hat, such as when Blair got angry with Alexis because she thought he provoked his opponent, or Red Hat that protect Blair from the three Obelisks blue and the duel against that Obelisk Blue using its partner's deck. Since Sheppard knows about Red Hat's past, he doesn't criticize him or care where he comes from but wants to help him because he knows what he's been through and believes that he, like everyone else, thinks Red Hat has a good side. For the part in the Spirit Realm, I gived Hiita as a duel spirit partner, because she has a similar personality to Red Hat along with Aussa because she has an opposite personality, so Red Hat will start to question his beliefs. I given to him two duel spirits as partners because I wanted to follow LoliSupremeKing's advice and not stop at just one duel spirit as a partner with him. As for Mana she seems to know something about Red Hat, but we'll get talk about this later. That's all for this chapter. If you have any advice for me and tell me what you think, let me know in the comments.

As you may have noticed in this chapter I included the name of Kazuki Takahashi, the author of Yu-Gi-Oh. The reason why I was looking forward to this chapter was because I also wanted to use it as a tribute to the author of this anime. And thanks to him if this series existed. He got a lot of people hooked on Yu-Gi-Oh and that's something he'll never be forgotten for.

Rest in peace, and may the heart of the cards always be with you.
