"I YELLED AT MONKEY KING'S FACE!" MK exclaimed to himself.
After MK had yelled at Monkey King's face, he told the gang to look for Macaque and the 'Bean' girl while he did something. That something was pacing back and forth in his bedroom all day, totally helpful. It was a new day and he had no clue on what to do after the events of yesterday. So he fell down onto his bed and groaned into his pillow.
"What am I supposed to do now?" MK asked himself.
Ring! Ring!
"UGGGGHHHH, CAN'T A GUY BE CONFUSED FOR ONE MOMENT?!"
MK picked up the phone to see who it was and surprisingly it was...WAIT HOLD UP RED SON WAS CALLING HIM?! He answered the phone to see what Red Son wanted.
"Uh..hey Red Son-"
"NOODLE BOY! WHY HAVEN'T YOU ANSWERED MY TEXTS?!" Red Son exclaimed.
"Huh? What texts?" MK asked.
He had no clue on what Red Son was talking about.
"The texts that I sent you yesterday and the day before, Noodle Boy!" He answered.
"Oh...I'm sorry, Red. Me and the gang have something really important going on right now. You can yell at me later." MK said.
"You mean Macaque and Bean Girl?" Red Son questioned.
"Yeah- WAIT A MINUTE! How did you know about them?" MK asked.
"Dragon Horse Girl told me about it."
"Oh. Did..Did she tell you anything else?"
"Well, she also told me how you yelled at Wukong." he responded.
"O-oh..." MK said in a disappointed tone.
"Noodle Boy, are you alright-"
"SO! Uh what were your texts about?" MK asked, interrupting Red Son from asking if he was okay.
"It was just questions, but those don't matter anymore. Noodle Boy, are you okay? You aren't acting like yourself." Red Son questioned in a concerned tone.
There was a moment of silence. MK didn't want Red Son to be involved in any of this, but he had found out anyway.
"I...I'm fine! No need to worry about me!" MK replied.
"...I'm coming over with the Dragon Horse Girl." The fire demon said.
"WAIT WAIT! THERE'S NO NEED FOR THAT-"
"Noodle Boy, I already made my decision. I am coming over there with your friend and we will see what's troubling you." Red Son said, interrupting MK.
MK didn't know what to do, so he decided on a compromise.
"Wait Red Son! Maybe you could just come over without..Mei?" He asked in a nervous tone.
"Hmmm...If I go without Mei, will you tell me what's troubling you?" Red Son replied.
"Yes! I definitely will!" MK exclaimed.
"Alright, I'll be over there soon."
"Okay, bye!"
The call had finally ended. MK sat up and processed what just happened.
"Red Son is coming over... SHOOT! RED SON IS COMING OVER!" MK exclaimed.
He quickly got off of his bed and started getting dressed in his normal attire. MK realized that he would have to clean his messy apartment. Welp, this was going to take awhile. Luckily, Red Son would be driving, so he still had some time to clean up.
Meanwhile with Macaque and Bei Da!
Bei Da felt the morning sunlight on her skin and woke up. Her left cheek felt cold, which weirded her out, but she brushed it off. She noticed that she was on a mattress and Macaque's scarf was wrapped around her like usual. She looked around and saw Macaque sleeping against a destroyed wall. Normally, the monkey would be awake before her. Bei Da walked over to him and sat down. She placed her head on his arm and after that she noticed his ears were multicolored? The top ear was red, the middle ear was blue, and the bottom ear was green.
"Woah..." Bei Da whispered in awe.
Macaque's ears twitched a bit, but she didn't notice it. What Bei Da didn't know was that Macaque was already awake. He had pulled an all-nighter because he was suspicious about the area. The black furred monkey felt the girl staring at his ears.
"Something caught your attention, Bean?" Macaque asked.
"Huh?! I thought you were sleeping unless...oh no! I woke you up again!" Bei Da exclaimed. "I'm sorry, Macaque."
"Wha...? No, no! It's fine, I was already awake, Bean." He said with a hint of worry in his voice.
There was a small moment of silence between the two until Macaque spoke again.
"Bean, why do you keep on apologizing for waking me up?" he questioned.
"O-oh! Well, back when I was with my parents, I used to wake them up to tell them about the nightmare that I had or when I heard thunder. Then after awhile they started telling me that what I was doing was stupid or that it was rude to wake someone up just to tell them something that doesn't even matter. Eventually, I stopped doing that. So..uh, does that answer your question?" She explained.
A mixed look of concern and confusion was now plastered on Macaque's face.
'WHO THE HELL DOES THAT TO A CHILD?!' He thought.
"Uh...Yeah, but you don't have any siblings, right? 'Cause it would suck to be with your parents." The monkey said, expecting no response.
"Actually, I do have a sibling! But she's older than me and she ran away before I could even meet her." The girl answered.
"Oh. Well maybe one day you might meet her, probably." Macaque replied. "Do you know her name?"
"No, I never learned her name."
"Oh."
There was a moment of awkward silence until Macaque started to speak again.
"Sooo...uh, I bet that you're probably hungry, right?" He asked in an awkward tone.
Bei Da nodded in agreement. Macaque put his arm in his shadow and got a mango. He handed her the fruit and she thanked him like usual. She started eating the fruit while Macaque started to go through the stuff that he found in the dojo's ruins. The mattress was damaged a bit, the hairbrush and first aid kit were both in okay condition, and the punching bags were damaged. He took a glance at Bei Da and noticed how messy her hair was. Her black hair looked like it had a couple of knots in it and was very...poofy to say the least.
'Geez, her hair is a mess. Maybe I should do something about it?' Macaque thought to himself.
He looked at the hairbrush and back at Bei Da. Macaque decided to attempt to tame the beast that was Bei Da's hair.
"Hey Bei, your hair looks messy. Do you want me to brush it for you?" He asked.
"Huh? Oh, sure!" She responded.
Macaque got behind Bei Da and took off her pink headband. He got the hairbrush and started brushing her hair.
"Ow!" Bei Da yelped.
"Sorry Bean! You have a bunch of knots in your hair, so it might hurt a little." Macaque apologized.
The monkey continued to brush Bei Da's hair, attempting to get the knots out of her hair. After getting the knots out, he stopped and grabbed his scarf. He started to tear off a piece of the scarf, so it could be used to hold up Bei Da's hair. Macaque gently held her hair and started to wrap the torn piece of the scarf around her hair. Bei Da's hair was now in a low ponytail.
"Kay, I'm done."
"Okay- wait a minute, what did you use to put up my hair?" Bei Da asked in a suspicious tone while raising an eyebrow.
"Uhhh...handmade hair tie." Macaque replied awkwardly.
"I..but..wha..how?"
"Simple, I just tore off a piece of my scarf."
"Ohhh, okay."
The two got up and stretched a bit. Macaque got his scarf and put it around his neck like usual. It was very quiet, the only noise that was heard was the breeze and the birds chirping. All of a sudden, a heavy thud and a small yelp was heard. Macaque summoned his staff and got into a battle stance in a panic. Bei Da, who was confused about what was happening, also got into a battle stance with her fists up. This was either going to be very eventful or very boring.
Knock Knock.
