Hamato Bloom 2

It's been a week since the Winx and Specialists found themselves stranded in New York. The boys had an easier time adapting to the training than the girls, but the Winx caught up to them in no time. It's the whole staying up all night thing that the rookie ninjas have trouble with.

The entire group are now on the rooftops, either training or resting.

Stella yawns as she stretches with her orange naginata in hand. "Why do we have to do this all night every night?" she leans into Brandon's shoulder. "This princess needs her beauty sleep."

"You don't need it," Brandon says as he tosses one of his two chakram's in the air. "You're too beautiful already."

"Oh, you…" the Sun Fairy giggles as she starts dozing off.

Brandon looks at her before waving his hand in her face. "Yup! She's out," the squire looks over at Tecna. "How'd she do?"

The Tech Fairy takes out her hand computer. "It's almost three in the morning." Attached to her side is a kyoketsu-shoge.

Donetallo with his own hand computer inputs some data. "That's her new personal record."

"Can you…" Flora stifles her own yawn. "…blame her? None of us are used to being up like this." The Nature Fairy waves her war fan in an attempt to keep herself awake.

"Not all of us," Musa who's twirling around a kusari-fundo as a way to prevent herself from falling asleep as well before glancing over where Bloom, Sky, Riven, Timmy, Raphael, and Leonardo are at.

Raph and Riven are sparring with the red masked turtle catching Riven's Kamas mid strike with his sais.

"You need to calm down," Raph pushes back. "This is coming from a guy with issues of his own. Your anger can and will get the best of you."

At this, Riven growled. "What would you know?" the Specialist pulls back and makes an attempt to slash at the turtle, only to find his weapons thrown away.

"A lot," Raph glares. "And trust me when I say that not everything can be taken back once it's out," he turns to show off some cracks in his shell. "You'd be lucky to get out with only a few scars."

Leo walks up to Timmy as he pulls the string of a bow. Once the spectacled boy lets go, the arrow flies through the air. Only to miss the makeshift target on the side of a water tower.

"You're trying too hard," the swordsturtle places a hand on Timmy's shoulder.

The boy sighed. "But last time you I said didn't try hard enough. What's my problem?"

"Same as what Donnie had," Leo explained. "You have too much on your mind, right? About how to fix all this, get the Winx their magic back, defeating the Trix, and getting everyone back home."

"How did you…"

"As I said, Donnie had the same problem. Draw your bow," the turtle tells him, and Timmy does so. "While taking your aim, your thoughts need to be clear. Don't think about how the arrow gets to the target nor about anything that could get in the way. Take a deep breath and let loose."

Timmy inhales deeply as he takes aim and releases the string of the bow. The arrow flies and unexpectedly from the spectacle human, it hit.

"It hit?" Timmy is perplexed at what he saw and suddenly beams. "It hit!"

"Good," Leo nods. "Now, try again."

Sky has his sword strapped to his back, sitting next to Bloom. "I'm seeing you in a new light, Bloom."

Bloom moves a strand of hair out of her eyes. "Is that a bad thing? I mean, I know that a sewer girl was the last thing you expected of me."

"I don't care about that," the Prince confesses. "It's surprising, yes. But just about every time I figure you out, you come at me with another surprise. It's one of the things I love about you."

The redhead finds herself leaning into Sky.

"There is one thing I still don't get."

Bloom looks up at him. "That would be…?"

"Cowabunga," the prince simply said. "What's up with that?"

The redhead giggles. "When we were little and before Donnie figured out how to hack into satellite tv, we only had access to some old vhs tapes that people just threw out," she explains. "Donnie rigged something for us to watch them on. Our first ever family movie night was some old movie called 'Surf's Up, Ninja!'. It opened up with this ninja kid shouting Cowabunga. Mikey wouldn't stop repeating it and it eventually stuck with us."

Michalangelo shouting then catches everyone's attention, "We got pizza!" he hops onto the roof carrying a stack of pizza boxes.

Casey with his hocky mask lifted up struggles to carry up a few boxes himself. "You guys better pay me back. You have any idea how much money I've spent on pizza alone this past week?"

"Calm down, Casey," April wearing her jumpsuit with her own sword strapped to her back hefts up onto the roof carrying a couple bags with soda and cups. "It's not like we haven't been doing this since meeting the turtles.

"Yeah, well, there were less mouths to feed."

Bloom is now giddy. "Pizza!" she stands, readying to get her a few slices "You want me to grab you a slice?"

"No," Sky shakes his head at his girlfriend's enthusiasm for the food. "I'll get my own here in a moment. Go on and enjoy."

"You know I will," the redhead runs to where her friends, the Specialists, and Mikey and Donnie are gathering for their late-night meal. With the exception of Brandon who still has Stella slumbering against his shoulder.

Sky continued to smile as Bloom and Mikey were already fighting over a slice. A sudden chill goes down his spine and before he knew it, Leo is sitting next to him.

"We've been waiting to have a word with you," Leo tells the prince.

"Uh," the prince wearily glances at the blue masked turtle. "You have?" a hand was placed on his shoulder. Sitting on the other side of Sky is Raph.

"Yeah. But it was hard finding some alone time with all this training and Bloom always so close by." The red masked turtle looks over where everyone had gathered.

Leo then continues. "I remember when Bloom came home crying because of you. We've never seen our sister like that until then. Now, she has forgiven you. Us on the other hand?"

"Mikey is too stupid to remain mad for too long and Donnie's brains are too big to care." The red masked turtle then gets smacked in the back of his head by his brother.

"What Raph means is that Mikey and Donnie are easily forgiving. Even more so when Bloom tells them that everything is fine. We are not too different from that as well." Sky lets out a sigh of relief hearing that. "However!"

Sky can feel the pressure on his shoulder increasing as Rapheal tells him. "If you ever break our sister's heart again you'll find out firsthand how I handle the Kraang."

The Prince looks at them in worry. "I, I thought as ninjas doing something like that would be against your code."

"You're right," Leo agrees. "As ninja's, it be dishonorable to act out in vengeance. But as brothers," the swordsturtle glares. "That's a different story."

Sky looks between the two before back over where his girlfriend is enjoying the company of her friends, her other two brothers, and the rest of the Specialists along with April and Casey.

Seeing how happy the redhead is, Sky can confidently say. "That's something I would never want to do."

.oOo.

Several rooftops away, a Foot Ninja is looking at the group through their binoculars.

The Foot then communicates into a radio. "Inform Master Shredder. I have found them. He shall have his vengeance and so shall these Trix."

NOTE: Some readers were mistaken when they referred to this as the 2012 TMNT cartoon. These turtles aren't really based on any one Ninja Turtles media. It's sort of its own thing. But I see the confusion with Ice Cream Kitty. I wanted something that would have caught the Winx and Specialists off guard. Plus, I like Ice Cream Kitty.

NOTE 2: Don't know if there's actually a movie called Surfs Up, Ninja. I pretty much made that up on the spot. Though, I vaguely remember a film about surfing ninjas.

NOTE 3: As for the weapons given to the Winx and Specialists, they were kinda picked at random. Only weapon that was done purposefully was Timmy's and that was mostly to show a similarity between him and Donatello. And for a scene for a possible sequel chapter. I didn't give descriptions for the weapons because I do not like spending too much time on descriptions. Especially for short entries. If you wish for descriptions I can update this chapter and add them as another note if at the end.
