*This is ported by Wattpad, feel free to come by as I've focused on making stories there rather here.*
Onto Chapter 4, and so far, y'all like how it goes?
If you guys are wondering, about the Genshin Impact Events... I am thinking of making them or long sub-quests like the Aranara turning into a separate Wattpad story, they are gonna be spin-offs that won't focus on the main storyline which is this story is focusing on.
Let me know your thoughts on this.
Seriously I need more views on this, felt like this is a potential good story for myself and all.
At the outsides near the city itself, the three groups returned at the near entrance. Paimon waves at the others which Zandra waved back.
"The sky has been settled throughout the trip." Kaeya stated.
"So, we've done it?" Amber asked.
"For now." He replied. "Best to return back to our posts." He turns to Lumine and others. "For now, we thank you for assistance. Please use the Goth Grand Hotel to settle for the day."
"Have a relaxing day sweeties." Lisa giggled as Zandra is hiding behind Lumine, much to her bigger confusion. Is she shaking? Lumine feels the shivering of her.
"And I'll bring up the Roast at your doorstep!" Amber smiled as she, Lisa, and Kaeya left, going to the Headquarters.
"All shall settle at the safeguard of Mondstadt, may I, Prinzessin der Verurteilung, shall provide the gratitude of your company." Fischl responded as Bennett waves at them before they also left.
Zandra sighed seeing them are leaving. "Are you okay?" Lumine asked.
"Huh, yeah, I'm fine." Zandra replied with a soft tone.
"Can you tell us why you have break when seeing Lisa and Fischl?" Paimon wondered. "Or any Electro in that matter."
"...I, I don't know." Zandra replied. "I get scared at them! That's all!" She shivered. "Don't you have a fear that you can't rationally explain!"
"Okay, okay, Paimon won't go further! detail" Paimon assured in a frantic manner to calm her down. Lumine remains pondering of this, but given how sensitive she is, she won't join in. They decided to head off to the Inn.
Approaching the inn, they soon saw a familiar someone... "Isn't that Jean?" Paimon pointed out. "Seems she's talking to someone..." She mentioned the two persons in front of Jean, going on a discussion. Xavier widen his eyes of who they are, along with Zandra and Jonathan, those purple attire with grey, and the masks...
Xavier's fist clenched harder than ever. As that Paimon and Lumine noticed the rest of the group tensed up. "Uh, what's going on?" Paimon worried.
"The Fatui." Jonathan answered. "Best we should remain incognito from them."
Why? Lumine is confused by this, the Fatui? These guys looked mysterious sure, but is there's something else wrong. She decided listen the conversation Paimon slowly follows as the rest stood afar...
"Which is what has brought us to this point in the first place." The Fatui woman spoke to Jean who seemed steady towards her. "If you are unable to promptly deal with the Stormterror threat, then leave the defense of Mondstadt to the Fatui. We can put an end to Mondstadt's dragon issues. All we need to do is bring that monster to the-"
"Monster?" Jean questioned her.
"Yes. What's your point?" She asked.
Jean closes her eyes as she sighed, "I'd expect a more professional attitude from your diplomats. Yet here you are saying you want to put an end to one of The Four Winds of Mondstadt? I won't have any of this nonsense in front of the Knights of Favonius." She stated.
She chuckled, "...It's not as crazy as you make it sound." A stern stare of Jean is responded. "Fine. That's enough negotiation for today. At this stage it's simply... an amicable exchange of constructive opinions, no?" Silence occurred. "I'll be sure to make... Thorough notes..."
The two Fatui diplomats left her, Lumine and Paimon approached as Jean rubs her forehead. She soon see the two along the rest of the group. Her smile returns. "Oh, you're all back. Thanks for your help. The elemental flow is finally stable. The aftermath of Stormterror's last attack is finally settled for the moment."
"It seems that does not matter for the Fatui." Jonathan stated as Jean nodded.
"Who are they?" Lumine asked.
"They are followers of the Cyro Archon resided from Snezhnaya." Jean explained.
"Yeah, they are super famous aren't they?" Paimon wondered, then she sees a negative energy emitting between the group besides her and Lumine. "Well, infamous might be a better word..."
"Last year, they made it clear what their intentions are..." Xavier replied with a glint of anger. "They are the worst kinds of trouble to deal." Lumine is curious by this words, last year? What happen here?
"And aggressive, they are telling you to kill that dragon?" Zandra scowled as she crossed her arms. "Bunch of jerks."
"I don't think killing Stormterror is the right course of action." Jean assured. " The Cryo God's Fatui have always coveted the Anemo God's power. I don't believe they have Mondstadt's best interests at heart..."
Cyro Archon... Lumine thought of the mention of the name... What does it want for the Anemo God? These people don't seemed to trust the name of the Cyro God, as she watched their expressions troubled, Jean looks worried, and Xavier has a stern killer glint in his eyes.
She recall her thoughts of the Dragon, and the Bard... Then the red tear drop crystal. She glanced at Zandra who is notably closely by her side, don't know why she is, despite she wanted to be besties. She may not trusted Xavier for his private goal, and Jean isn't aware of this... Maybe...
"I have something to say..." Lumine speak up.
"Hm?" Jean perked up, as Xavier joins in along with others. What is she doing? Xavier thought as she continues.
"I have something show you, but..." Lumine explained.
"Say no more, Lumine." Jean smiled. "We shall go back to the headquarters." Lumine nodded as they return back to the Headquarters...
Inside the Knights of Favounis Headquarters "So I have this, when I noticed the Dragon up close..." Lumine showed the red teardrop crystal as it hovers in the air. Xavier glanced at Lumine's words, as Jonathan noticed as well, he keeps his mouth shut.
Jean and Lisa examine the crystal, "Must be embedded with some kind of power... Lisa, are you able to analyze it?" She asked.
"Let me take a look..." Lisa said, examining the Crystal... "Hmm... I can see impurities in the crystal, but upon further inspection..." She informed but she paused later then sighed. "No, I'm sorry, I can't make a proper analysis at the moment. Give me some time. I'll take a look through the library's restricted section."
Jean nodded in understatement, "Right. I'll leave the research to you then, Lisa." She said.
"Understood. I'll notify you all if I make any progress." Lisa replied as she reaches for the crystal... "Though I wouldn't go getting your hopes up. They are incredibly ancient texts, not to mention- Ouch!" Her hand recoiled by a zap from the crystal. Jean worried immdeaitly as long as others. Lisa winced, "Gosh, that hurt! The impurities in the crystal... It hurts when I get close..."
"Are you okay?" Jean asked.
"I'm fine..." Lisa nodded as she gazed at the crystal. "It appears to react to Visions. It's strange, though. Lumine has elemental abilities as well, but doesn't seem to be affected in the same way."
"..." Lumine is quiet, she can't just explain, she came from another world. They just know that, calling her 'Descender' or something.
"It's best we keep this remaining, quiet for now." Jonathan stated. "It seems this crystal if its true can be a danger to us."
Lisa nodded in agreement, "Anyway, the crystal would be better left in the hands of my cutie. It will just be a pain if left with us, both literally and metaphorically." She winked at Lumine.
"Okay..." She said as she takes the crystal.
"I won't delve much about you Lumine, as its understandable for your position." Jean assured her. "It is truly remarkable how special you are. If you're okay, the Knights of Favonius have another favor to ask of you."
"...Sure." Lumine replied.
Jean smiled and nodded, "...Please accept the title of Honorary Knight... And the gratitude of the Acting Grand Master." She stated.
Jonathan widen his eyes, Paimon exclaimed aloud, "Honorary Knight... Of Favonius!?" She practically screamed.
"I... I don't know what to say, isn't it sudden?" Lumine worried and asked as Xavier remains quiet after hearing this.
"We ask for your continued assistance in finding some answers." Jean explained. "You put us the opportunity since you saved our city. Stormterror's rage... And strange crystals... I know Mondstadt's peace hangs in the balance." She gives a small bow. "May the wind open your eyes to the truth. We'll meet back here if you find anything."
With that Lumine remains silent, she glanced at Xavier who still remaining his same expression...
Outside the Headquarters, Zandra is just waiting out there, just then the doors opened. Lumine and others are here, "Hey guys!" She waved. "What's going on?"
"Lumine, has become an Honorary Knight of Favonius." Jonathan answered.
"..." Zandra is silent, eyes widened, "...That's... Something..." She muttered.
"Well, this is good news?" Jonathan asked to Xavier. "We have more better access to Mondstadt with her."
"..." Xavier didn't respond, instead he spoke to Lumine, "You told them." He said.
"Eh?" Zandra asked.
"I want to help them, so that's so wrong?" Lumine responded, sternly staring at him. "I'm sure that's what you're doing."
"Hmph, you expected to join them, not knowing you created more problems on our behalf." Xavier rebuked. "I knew bringing her is a bad idea." He glared at Zandra who downcast.
"Um, Paimon thinks we should take a moment..." Paimon worried.
"No one asks your word, midget fairy." Xavier replied.
"Midget Fairy!?" Paimon exclaimed. "Alright, you are just a meanie! Paimon is gonna give you a nickname! Mister... Frosty Snowman!" She pointed at Xavier.
"PFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTT!" Zandra snorted out loud. Xavier glares at her, which she covered her mouth with both hands.
"What's your problem?" Lumine questioned. "It's not like I asked to be joined in, how about you go on your own quest, while I help the Knights of Favonius stop this dragon problem." She goes up close to Xavier, as they stood close to each other as a stare-off.
"Come on, you two..." Zandra came in between the two, they are not happy of her. Due to the fact, she is the reason this is happening. "We both wanted to help, and if things do go bad, I take full responsibility."
"You already have." Xavier replied. "However, Jonathan is right." He mentioned his words, "We have better access to Mondstadt, just keep it as it is, Lumine..." He stared at her as she glared.
"But you didn't reveal all the information..." Jonathan replied.
"Yeah, the bard we saw..." Paimon mentioned, not lying given how he saw her memories.
"I'd like to investigate it on my own first." Lumine explained.
"So, that bard?" Zandra pointed at the distance, there they turned to see that familiar green wearing bard, running off.
"Huh!? That's him!" Paimon pointed out. "Quick, after him!" Lumine runs off, Zandra quickly catches up.
Lumine, Zandra and Paimon stopped in the middle of the city, seeing no sight of the green bard. "Where did he go?..." Paimon wondered.
"This bard..." Xavier spoke up as he and Jonathan joined up. "I sensed he is not a normal person..."
"Yeah, he vanished!" Zandra exclaimed. "No bards can do that, can they?..."
"Not a normal one, can you sense him?" Jonathan spoke to Zandra, then he ask to Xavier.
"His Anemo energy is..." Xavier muttered as he looks at the stairs, "Follow me." He stated as he fast walks upstairs. The rest immediately follow up...
At the top area of the city, Xavier arrived first, joined by others. Paimon is exhausted as she catch up with Lumine.
"Ugh, Paimon is tired..." Paimon panted.
"Don't you float?" Lumine questioned.
"Floating takes effort!" Paimon yelled.
"There..." Xavier pointed there, they look to see the same green bard holding the lyre in front of some by the large statue of the Anemo God, he is playing it with his lyrical performance...
What is to be sung transpired in days of yore, When the divine archons still walked the earth...
A cast his curious gaze on the world below, As he parted from the heavens that gave his birth...
The dragon sought truth amongst common folk, But mortal trifles only fogged his mind...
The strummed his strings dolce, And the Holy Lyre answered his questions kind...
The dragon was but a child full of wonder, And soared the heavens free from care...
The bard's songs invited him to sing along, For he yearned to let all perceive him fair...
Enchanting legends the bard and dragon were, But the tides of despair soon engulfed the land; The lion fang perished and the falcon flag slept...
As a approached Mondstadt in lone stand, Over the Cathedral loomed death and his friends...
Of the people's agony the bard soon sang...
The soaring dragon heeded his grave calls, And amidst the windstorms a brutal war sprang...
Blood of venom sent the sky dragon into slumber, Only to awake to be expelled in abhor...
"Why do people in this age loathe me so?"
But the Holy Lyre replied no more...
Wrath and woe, vigor and venom, Poured from the dragon's bitter eyes...
The dragon's curse sprawled in silence, But the Lyre could no longer soothe his cries...
As the performance is done, the few people who are listening it clapped in applaud, he takes a small bow. Just then something caught his view, Lumine and Paimon joins in, along seeing, 'familiar' visitors... As the people left, they are the only ones remaining...
"Huh, I know you two." He pointed out. "You're the two who scared Dvalin away."
"Wait, a sec, you're talking about the dragon?!" Zandra exclaimed.
"Hm, I don't seem to know you three..." He stared at Xavier, Jonathan, and Zandra, "Or have I...?" He pondered.
"Uh... Paimon thinks this guy has a screw loose..." Paimon whispered to Lumine.
"I heard that." The bard smirked causing Paimon to yelp.
"You know Dvalin?" Lumine asked, ignoring the remark.
"Um, yeah!" Paimon joins in. "Are you two meant to be close or something?"
"Oh, so close..." He sighed. "Well, it's good to see you again, outsider. I'm Venti, Three-time winner of the "Most Popular Bard of Mondstadt," to be precise." He stated proudly.
"Never heard of you..." Zandra called out.
"..." Venti stared at Zandra for a moment, before he speaks to Lumine. "So, what are you guys here?" He asked.
"Given you recognize us, Paimon doesn't believe we need to explain any further." Paimon replied.
"Hm...?" Venti hummed, as he looked confused.
"Wha!?" Paimon exclaimed. "Cut it with the amnesia act!" She grumbled. "Show him, that crystal Lumine!" Lumine nodded as she showed him the crystal. But to a surprise...
Venti widen, "Oh! Isn't this..." The Red glow is gone... Replaced by a turquoise glow.
"Huh!?" Paimon gasped. "But it was red before!"
"I can no longer feel that impurity..." Jonathan remarked as he comes closer even holding the crystal. "What did you do?" He asked to Lumine.
"I don't know... Not sure how this happened." She replied.
"Dvalin, he... The anguish he feels... has brought him to tears..." Venti stated.
"Tears?..." Paimon asked.
"He was once such a gentle child. Now so full of rage and suffering..." His expression became sorrow. "I also came across another one." He holds out a second red tear drop crystal, Xavier sees that he is holding it, without any issue, either no vision- No. It must be him...
"Can you purify it?" He asked, he grabs Lumine's hand and places it, she watches the crystal then slowly purify the crystal, returning the same color that is clean.
"Woah..." Zandra is shocked. "You have such amazing powers..."
"Sure is." Venti smiled. "Someone like you is going to end up getting written into a bard's poem. Oh, a hero so bright, should she stand in the light. Though stand in the shade, and you'll be met by a blade..."
"So it is you..." Xavier interrupted as Venti stares at him. "You're Barbatos, the Anemo Archon. Aren't you?" He demanded.
WHAT!? Lumine's mind exploded, she looks at Venti who remain the basic neutral expression, then back at Xavier who sternly glares. Zandra mouth gaped, but Jonathan remains silent...
"Wait... Paimon is getting too much of this!" Paimon yells as she clutching her head.
Venti stares at Xavier, then he smiles, "Eh heh..." He chuckled. "As much you have some questions, and I really must thank you for purifying the Teardrop Crystal, it has helped me greatly." He then starts taking some small steps away from them. "But I have my own plans for what is to follow..." That, he heads off.
"Hey, wait!" Lumine calls out, but he already manages to disappear. Him, being an Anemo God... She needs to know.
"I can sense where's he going, come..." Xavier spoke as he walks off, the rest followed. But Lumine remains standing as Paimon notices along with Zandra.
"Is something wrong?" Paimon asked.
"How does he know?..." Lumine asked as she stared at Zandra.
"Uh..." Zandra nervously chuckled. "I mean, I don't stay within their plans much..."
"What kind of member are you?" Paimon deadpanned.
"Eh, come on, I still have my skills!" Zandra whined at Paimon's remark. "Besides, he doesn't tell me or Quinn about the real reason, besides kicking Fatui butt."
"Who's Quinn?" Pamion asked.
"One of our members. He's just at Sumeru though..." Zandra explained, then she mentions. "We should follow them..." She pointed Xavier and Jonathan are heading out.
"Right..." Lumine nodded as she and the Paimon and Zandra walks off, "So, how does Xavier detect him?" She asked.
"Well, you concentrate and detect his elemental with elemental sight. Only Visions of us, are capable of doing that, but, you are special..." Zandra explains while they soon catch up others...
Outside the city, they reached to a place, Paimon explains about this location; Windrise, Galesong Hill, there is the giant tree, also known as the Symbol of Mondstadt's Hero.
Xavier and Jonathan stood there, Lumine, Paimon and Zandra arrived, they see Venti standing in front of the tree. He turns around as he sees the group, "So you guys like to follow me around." He chuckled.
"I wanted know, what he said." Lumine mentioned Xavier's words. "Are you the Anemo God?"
Venti smiled. "You got me." He said. "Though, supposedly long ago, the Anemo God, ahem, me has gone missing so I might be late for this recent events. Why do you wish to know about it? Does it have something to do with Dvalin?" He wondered.
"You are there." Jonathan stated. "I saw her memories, you are with the Dragon."
"Yeah, stop being confused!" Paimon demanded.
"Okay, okay." Venti smiled. "So I guess you're here to ask me about something."
Lumine spoke up, "What happened to Dvalin?" She asked. "I asked Lisa, and she said, that he harbor hatred to Mondstadt."
"That is what she said?" Venti pondered. "Quite a scholar she is, as she's not wrong. The conflict has reached this point, only because both sides have resorted to the use of force." He recalled. "His hate, however, did not arise from the people not making tribute to The Four Winds. Nor was it born from his own nature, but instead came about as a product of his degradation."
"Degra... Dation?" Paimon questioned.
"The black blood flowing through his heart has been torturing him for years." Venti explained. "That's what has allowed him to be led astray by the lies of the Abyss Mage."
"An Abyss Mage?" Lumine asked.
"The Abyss Order, an organization comprised of non-human beings." Xavier stated. "I heard gossips of them, and... Encountered them a few times."
"And they despise mankind." Venti added. "Don't know why, but that is what you know about them." Lumine wondered, about this, she'll like to know why, but right now she won't ask. He continues. "Many out in the wild take orders from them and act as their weapons, Hilichurls notably."
"Before arriving here, I too was like Dvalin, cursed and left to waste. But now, before us stands the Symbol of Mondstadt's Hero, the place from which Mondstadt rose. The wind amongst the branches is good, I love the way it smells..." He turns to face the tree as he breaths in slowly and sighed. "Being here with you beneath this great tree feels like when the tear was purified earlier. Like the poison is leaving my body... Mmmmmmm... Feels much better."
"So... How exactly did you get poisoned?" Paimon asked.
"Ahh... That would be because I tried to communicate with Dvalin earlier, but I was... Interrupted... As a result, not only did I not manage to help Dvalin break his curse, but instead, was also infected myself!" Venti pouted as he crosses his arms, glancing at Lumine and Paimon.
"Oh..." Lumine realized what he meant. "I am sorry."
"It's okay, because, right now! You guys are gonna help me!" Venti pointed at the group. " By going to the Cathedral!"
"And what are gonna do there?" Zandra asked.
"To claim a certain Holy Lyre der Himmel!" Venti claimed.
Back at the city once more, and back at the top where Venti met the group. Venti has explained to the group, mostly towards Lumine, Zandra and Paimon about the Holy Lyre der Himmel. It is one of the most treasured items in Mondstadt that is he himself as the Anemo Archon plays.
At the Church, Venti, Lumine, and Paimon are going inside. "Will it really stop Stormterror from causing more damage?" Paimon asked.
"Yep! With it, perhaps I can help Dvalin draw his gentle nature back out of this nightmare he's going through." Venti assured. "Of course. I'm the best bard in the world. There's not a single song I do not know, no matter if it's from the past, present, or future." He smiled.
"You are surely are confident about this..." Lumine sweat dropped. Knowing what the plan is, which makes her question this plan but she decided to see.
"Look me in the eyes. Do you not find me trustworthy?" Venti stares at her, as both eyes look at each other...
"...Just what is that in your eyes?" Lumine questioned, seeing how Venti's eyes are unique looking like Kaeya and Xavier...
"Hahaha, that one doesn't work on a bard." Venti smirked. As they enter inside the chruch, Xavier stood outside arms crossed, as Jonathan and Zandra looks unfazed.
Inside the Cathedral, Venti came to one of the Nuns, "Let me handle this..." He assured at Lumine as she watches, thinking this won't work... She even had to convince the guard from the entrance to enter this place, thank goodness her position as Honorary Knight...
Venti begins to speak to her, "Hello there, Sister." He waved.
The Nun turns and smiles, "May the Anemo God bless you, young bard. How can I help you?" She asked.
"Actually, I know a secret that can save Mondstadt from its current predicament." He stated.
"Oh, what a blessing from the God of Anemo!"She looks glad to hear this. "But you should report that to the Knights of Favonius. Why have you come to me?" She wondered.
"Hahaha, because you, dear sister, are able to help!" Venti gleamed. " I'd like to borrow... the Holy Lyre. With it, I'll be able to help Stormterror-"
"Please see yourselves out." She replied immediately with a deadpan face.
"What?" Venti exclaimed as Lumine and Paimon winced, and latter the facepalm.
"It's a vicious dragon indeed, but once the makes up her mind, nothing can stand in the Knights' way." She explained.
"That's simply not acceptable. Wouldn't Stormterror end up getting killed that way?" Venti worried.
"That foolish beast betrayed the winds. Not even the God of Anemo themselves would forgive it!" She rebuked.
"Wow... Please, I beg of you!" Venti pleaded.
"I'm afraid not, little bard." She sorrowfully responds, somehow she feel so bad rejecting this sweet child...
Venti sighed, "Then... I guess I'm left with no other choice." He covers his face with his hand, then he uncovers it making his stance. "My disciples, rejoice! Behold, the God of Anemo, Barbatos has descended!"
"Hm?" She perked.
"Shocked, aren't you? Don't you just want to cry out and rejoice? How does it feel to finally meet the god you've been serving?" Venti asked with a smile.
"If there's nothing else, I'll be going back to handle the Cathedral's paperwork now." She replied with the same deadpan look.
Venti exclaimed. "Wait-" But it is too late, she walks off... "Huh..." He places his hand behind his head rubbing it. "She didn't even bat an eyelid."
"Due to the fact, you don't sound like their God..." Lumine doubted.
"But, we have at least learned what we wanted to know." Venti mentioned. "She didn't deny that the Cathedral is enshrining the Holy Lyre."
"But she won't let you have it." Lumine mentioned.
"Now, now, dear Lumine!" Venti winked. "Since you're the hotshot of the Knights of Favonius... Maybe you can give it a shot."
"Ugh, I just got this position..." Lumine sighed and facepalmed. "Fine, I'll see what I can do..." She walked to the Nun, as Paimon followed.
She noticed her arriving, "Barbatos bless you." She greeted.
"Hello." Lumine replied.
"Ah, it's you! The newcomer of the Knights of Favonius, aren't you?" She asked.
"That I am." Lumine nodded.
"You have saved Mondstadt that day." She gives a small bow. "So what brings you here? Tasks from the Acting Grand Master?"
Lumine nodded. "Yes, actually. The Knights of Favonius would like to borrow the Holy Lyre..."
"Is that so?" The Nun replied, unconvinced. "Not that I don't trust you. It's just that a suspicious bard came looking to borrow the Holy Lyre as well. He's full of nonsense and even called himself Barbatos. He must be up to something."
"Well, I'm sure I can take of it..." Lumine assured her, sweating a small drop of how she speaks of Venti.
She nodded, "There are regulations in place for the use of the Holy Lyre. Currently, it's only used in Ludi Harpastum." She explained. "Signed documents from the Grand Master, Seneschal, and Community Representative are all required. So, may I see the document from the Knights of Favonius?" She requested.
Uh oh... Lumine realized the issue, she need a document and that is a no-no. What would she tell to Jean? Hey there's a bard who's the Anemo God, may we require a document for the holy Lyre? "Um... I'm sorry, I forgot to bring it here." She replied.
"A signed document is required. Without it, there's not much I can do." She replied. "Now, if you'll excuse me. I really am quite busy as of late." That she turns around...
The group sees them going outside, seeing them empty handed, "Lemme, guess, asking to borrow the lyre didn't work..." Jonathan sarcastically assumed.
"As predicted." Venti nodded.
"You predicted?!" Paimon angrily exclaimed.
"Yeah, I just wanted to know how influential Lumine is." He stated. "You see, the best warrior should always be presented with the best sword, and yet here we are... Does the story not make for a fitting ballad?"
"So what are you trying to say? That she's not good enough?" Paimon questioned him.
Venti playfully shake his head, "No, that's not it. More of a commentary regarding Mondstadt's inability to see the warrior standing right before its very eyes." He said. "Very well. Looks like borrowing it is not going to be possible. We'll take Plan B." He gestured to Xavier.
"Well... Paimon doesn't feel like just stealing the lyre would be a good idea..." Paimon stated her worry.
"Don't worry, Little Paimon!" Zandra gives herself some finger stretches as bone cracks. "I got this! I've been claimed the best ninja of Mondstadt!" She stated.
"Never heard of that..." Jonathan calls out as Zandra's entire body felt a jerk jab by his vocal response.
"Yeah, best to not proudly claim that title..." Venti remarked.
"You aren't also clean." Jonathan added to which Venti also got recoiled by it.
"Eh!? What do you mean!?" He exclaimed, but seeing the serious looks of Xavier, he returns his normal composure. "...Eh, alright... Well, time is spending! For today we stand for free will!"
"Okay!" Zandra rubbing her hands, Lumine and Paimon joined in.
"I'll see if I can help you, if you get in trouble." Lumine gives her support.
"Really?!" Zandra happily asked.
"Don't push it..." Lumine deadpanned. "We're doing this for Dvalin and Mondstadt."
"...Got it!" Zandra winked.
Nightfall begins, the guards aren't available, Venti along with Lumine and Paimon are standing not far, but at the small distance of the Cathedral. She glanced and sees Zandra emerging from the bushes, she gives a thumbs up to her as she goes into the door...
Lumine then places her ear, a device, it was given by Jonathan. Stated it was designed by Quinn, to gain communication from Zandra, "Coast clear?" She asks as she wait for her responses...
"Yep." Inside, Zandra sees no one inside, there she sees a door passage at the end. It looks to be opened slightly. She pushes the door panel, seeing the spiral downstairs... She sneakily goes there to which she sees the vast basement. A lot of desks of books, and column pillars lighten up by lamps and candles. There also knights patrolling as guards around the sections. "Okay, I am in..." She whispered to her comm. "Bunch of guards there."
"Of course, there is security." Lumine rebuked, "Can you sneak pass them?" She asked.
"Duh! Of course!" She happily whispered back. Zandra then takes her front steps quietly. She hides behind one of the desks, as the guard walks past. She smiles when the coasts clear, she blitz past gaps, leaving small trails of electro...
Outside, Venit sees Lumine being quiet, leading the fact that electro friend is doing the stealth thing well. "You have an interesting friend." He remarked.
Lumine notices, "They aren't really, friends..." She replied. "More like, I have joined their group to follow part of their bidding."
"Really?" Venti pondered, he wonders about the Gnosis, unless... Best to wait till its confirmed, he mentions something. "How about Zandra, she seemed to be close..."
"Does Paimon counts?" Paimon raised her hand.
"Yeah, you're my friend." She said with a smile as Paimon cheers, she then speaks to Venti. "Zandra is just trying to ease the tension between me and Xavier, I was just looking for my brother, they are interested on you and the Gnosis."
"Hm... I see..." Venti hummed in thought. "Truly a tale to be listened, the Honorary Knight search for the missing sibling albeit meets the struggle of her mysterious associates and the outsides of this world. " He narrates himself. "You seemed to be fine when your buddy told me who I am."
"The more I understand, the better I can find my brother." Lumine replied. "And as much I want to ask you, I will help you save Dvalin, I understand the of being separated from someone close to you..."
"Yeah, Lumine will tell you what happen after this is over, just after we help you." Paimon added.
Venti sees the empathy of Lumine, then he smiles. "Very well. Let's see if your buddy has got the lyre."
Back inside the basement, Zandra has already reached the end of the area. She looks to see it, the Holy Lyre standing on top of a small column. Piece of cake... Zandra reaches for the object... Only to be swipe by someone out of nowhere...
"Huh!?" She exclaimed to see that it was a woman. She is green haired, wearing mostly purple robes and hood. She holds a lantern on her other hand and notably... The Lyre on the other. "H-Hey!" Zandra raised her hands pointing them charging with electro, with a tint of nervous.
The mage-like woman giggled as she disappeared with a trace of Electro. Zandra is confused by this, but she realized... She stole the Lyre!
"Hey." A sudden female voice made her freeze, not knowing whose behind her... A Nun wearing dark black and red outfit, but she has ghostly pale gray skin, pale magenta eyes with narrow white pupils, and choppy wine-colored hair. "Who are you?" She demanded.
"Uh oh..." Zandra nervously chuckled out as she's been caught...
Zandra faces none other than Rosaria! I wanted to give the OC characters some footwork to do in this story, and wanted to give this official story some fast pace so you don't feel slowburn within this story!
With that said and done, 5 more chapters remain to go, you'll see the prologue will ended soon, along introducing an OC villain around the end of this season!
Feel free to comment out some references I put in, and what do you like this chapter so far? Chapter 5 is next!
