Chapter 2: School Shopping and Reuniting With Family

It has been a week since Harry, Ron, and Hermione adopted me as their daughter. I am happy with my new family but I hope to find my other family and reunite with them again one day. My parents are not too strict but they did set some rules for me to follow and a curfew which I am fine with. After I got ready for the day, we all gathered around the fireplace. I'm a bit unsure about what we are doing by the fireplace.

Molly noticed my confusion, so I turned to her asking, "Grandma, what are we doing by the fireplace?"

"Well dear, us wizards and witches travel by floo network. To do that, you need floo powder. Once you have the floo powder say 'Diagon Ally' in a loud, clear voice." Molly explained.

"Okay," I said, nodding.

"Harry why don't you go first so we can show Lana how it's done," Molly said.

"Okay. Watch me, Lana." Harry said. Harry took the floo powder, stepping into the fireplace. Harry threw the floo powder onto the floor, yelling, "Diagon Ally!" within a few seconds, he disappeared into the green flames. My eyes widened with shock and amazement. "Woah," I said.

"Now it's your turn. Here, take some of this. Be sure to talk in a loud clear voice." Molly instructed. I grabbed the floo powder. I nervously walked into the fireplace. My heart was pounding fast. I cleared my throat and yelled, "Diagon Ally!"

Just like Harry did, I disappeared in the green flames. In a few seconds, I reappeared again in a different fireplace. I stepped outside. I took a good look around. It looked like I was inside a bookstore. I gasped when I stepped outside on the streets. This place is really cool. Stores lined up all around the streets with witches and wizards walking around the alleyways. I saw some kids in the Hogwarts uniforms. Wait, did we have to wear a uniform at this school?

I took out my Hogwarts school shopping list and read through it.

PARENTS ARE REMINDED THAT FIRST YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED THEIR OWN BROOMSTICKS

I was upset when it said I had to wear a uniform there. I don't like wearing uniforms because I am very sensitive to certain types of clothing. As I was lost in my thought, thinking about my school supplies, I heard someone calling my name.

"Lana?"

I turned around to see my dad, Harry. "Oh, hi Dad," I said.

"Hey, glad you made it," Harry said.

"Me too. Where are the others?" I asked.

"I'm not sure, but do you want to look around while we wait?" Harry asked.

"Sure! Also Dad, can I talk to you for a minute?" I asked.

"Yeah sure, what's up?" Harry asked.

"I noticed Hogwarts is requiring us to wear a school uniform. I am not comfortable with that because I am very sensitive to certain types of clothing. Do you think we can talk to the headmaster and ask them if we can make some accommodations?" I asked nervously.

"Yeah, I think we can work something out," Harry said. I smiled. I took hold of Harry's hand as we began to walk through Diagon Ally. There was one shop that caught my attention, the broom shop. I dragged Harry over to the broom shop excitedly. While we were looking around, I saw there was this one broom in the shop that I really wanted called the Firebolt.

"Dad, Dad! Can we get the Firebolt? Please?!" I begged.

"Sorry sweetie, but the school doesn't allow first-year students to bring their own broomsticks. Maybe next year we can get you one but for now, you can use my broom I also have the Firebolt." Harry said.

"Woah, you do!?" I said excitedly.

"Yeah, my godfather gave it to me after my Nimbus 2,000 broke," Harry told me.

"Cool," I said. "Well, not cool that your Nimbus broke, but cool that you got a firebolt."

Harry chuckled. "Come on, we should go look for the others before they start to worry," Harry said. We walked around Diagon Ally until we found the rest of the family.

"Oh, there you are Lana. We were worried you didn't make it." Molly said. "Okay, now that we're all together, let's go start getting our books and other supplies."

I followed my family into the bookshop. After getting all our schoolbooks, we went to the wand shop next. "Time to get your wand now, Lana," Hermione said.

"My wand?" I said with a smile.

"Of course. All first-years get their wands. Here's some money. You go get your wand, we need to run another errand. We will meet you here when we're done." Hermione said, handing me some money. After we parted ways, I walked inside the wand shop. "Hello there. I am Mr. Ollivander, the owner of the wand shop. How may I help you today?" The man said.

"Hi, sir. I'm Lana Potter, and I am looking for my first wand." I said. Mr. Ollivander looked at me with surprise.

"Oh my, Lana Potter? I didn't know Harry had a sister," Mr. Ollivander said.

"Oh, um, I'm his daughter," I said.

"Oh my. Well, it's nice to meet you. I didn't think I'd be seeing another member of the Potter family." Mr. Ollivander said. I was confused. Why were people were acting so surprised when they find out I am Harry Potter's daughter?

"Now, let's find you a wand," Mr. Ollivander said. He began looking at the shelves of the wands. Mr. Ollivander pulled out a wand from the shelf. He handed me the wand.

"Try this one. A wood ash one, 6'5," Mr. Ollivander said. I took the wand out of the box. I hesitated for a minute.

"Well, go on. Give it a wave," Mr. Ollivander said. I nodded, giving the wand a wave. I gasped with surprise when papers flew everywhere.

"Nope, that's not it," Mr. Ollivander said, taking the wand from me. Mr. Ollivander took the wand back, putting it back on the shelf. He grabbed another wand from the shelf. "Try this one. It's a wood Holly 7'1," Mr. Ollivander said. He handed the wand to me. I waved the wand around again. I got startled when the window shattered. Glass was flying everywhere. "Nope, nope, nope, definitely not," Mr. Ollivander said. Mr. Ollivander took the wand back from me. He picked out another wand from the shelves.

He handed me a new wand again. "Try this one. Wood Fir 6'1." Mr. Ollivander said. I waved the wand again. This time, the wand sparkled. A bright light showed from it. No crazy things happened this time.

"What does this mean?" I asked.

"This means the wand has chosen you. You are now the wand's owner," Mr. Ollivander said.

"Wow, cool," I said. I am really excited to show my parents my new wand. After I paid for my wand, I walked outside of the store where I met my family.

"Hey, how'd it go?" Ron asked me.

"Awesome, look at the wand I got," I said. I pulled out the wand to show it to him.

"Brilliant," Ron said.

"We got you a couple of things," Hermione said. Hermione stepped aside, revealing an owl. My eyes widened, with my mouth dropping. The owl is so pretty! The owl has brown fur with white spots, and a white belly with golden eyes. I smiled, reaching out my hands to hold her. I stroked her soft fur. The owl squawked. I decided to name her Snowy because of her fur.

"Thank you so much, Mom," I said, hugging Hermione tightly.

"You're welcome, we also got you this," Hermione said. Hermione dug out of her bag. She pulled out a phone. I saw that the phone was an iPhone 12. "You'll be needing this at school too," Hermione explained.

"Thank you," I said, taking the phone from her.

"You're welcome," Hermione said.

"Dad, I have a question. How come people always look so surprised when they see you or when your name is mentioned?" I asked Harry.

"Uh... I'll explain that when we get home," Harry said.

"Okay," I said.

"We also have a surprise for you when you get home," Molly said with a smile.

"Ooh, what is it?" I asked eagerly.

"You'll have to wait and see," Molly said with a smile. Damn, I'm getting spoiled today. My heart was pounding with excitement as I raced my Uncle Fred and George home. We laughed, joking around until we opened the door of our home. When I stepped inside, I gasped. Tears welled up in my eyes. Both of my families were there. Everyone.

"Mom? Dad?" I said, choking back sobs.

"Oh, Lana," Uru said, running up to hug me. Ahadi joined in on the hug. Soon, everyone tackled me with hugs. Well, almost everyone. The only people I was not happy to see was my husband, Scar, and my other husband, Miguel. Before we go on, let me tell you a little bit about my family. Regarding my family, I would like to introduce them to you. Miles O'Hara and Gwen Stacey are my birth parents. I am happily married to Margo Kess, whom I met while on a mission with my parents and fell in love with. I am confident that she loves me just as much. I have a husband named Miguel O'Hara. Miguel and I didn't marry out of love though. He forced me and my father to marry him to ensure that we did not disrupt a 'canon' event. I am scared of Miguel because he is unpredictable. One moment, he would show us love and affection, but he could snap and turn violent at any moment. I've seen his bad side before, it's not pretty. Me and Miles are always covered in cuts and bruises from his abuse. He rapes us too if he feels like it which is almost every night. Miguel set strict rules for us to follow, If we broke those rules, there would be punishments, ones I am not going to mention.

I have grandparents named Rio and Jefferson Morales, and an uncle named Peter Parker

I am grateful for the guidance and support of my good friends and mentors, Jessica Drew, Pavitr, and Hobie Brown.

Now for the other half of my family:

I have a mother and father named Uru and Ahadi. My brothers are Mufasa and Scar. My sister-in-law, Sarabi, is married to Mufasa. Scar is also my husband who forced me to marry him as well. Just like Miguel, Scar is very abusive towards me. Like Miguel, Scar rapes me as well. Yeah, my life is shit right now since I am stuck in a marriage with two abusive husbands. Anyway, Zira is Scar's spouse and they have two children together named Kovu and Vitani. I am fortunate to have another spouse named Nala, whom I also wed out of love, like my beloved Margo. Additionally, I am proud to have a nephew named Simba, who is happily married to my wife, Nala as well. Together Simba and Nala have been blessed with a kid named Kiara.
I also have an Aunt named Sarafina who is Nala's mother and my mother-in-law.

"We were so worried about you, we are glad you are safe," Uru said, nuzzling me.

"Welcome home, Lana," Miles said.

"Thanks, Dad. It's good to see everyone again." I said. I wiped some tears from my eyes. My grandmother, Rio was especially happy to see me again. She pulled me into a tight hug.

"It's good to see you too, my dear," Rio said.

"Mami, let her breathe," Miles said.

"I missed you so much, Lana. Don't you ever scare me like that again?" Nala said, kissing me.

"I won't, I promise. I love you." I said.

"I love you too," Nala said.

"Hey, where's my kiss?" Margo asked me. I smiled and kissed Margo.

"So, what have you been up to while we were away?" Gwen asked.

"You guys won't believe this! I got into a school called Hogwarts. I get to learn magic there, look at the wand I got!" I exclaimed. I got out my wand, proudly showing it off.

"Woah, nice," Kiara said.

"What? No, absolutely not. I am not letting you go to a school and waste your time with dumb magic tricks! You need to focus on your superhero duties and your duties as my wife!" Miguel yelled, snatching the wand from me.

"Hey, give that back!" I shouted, trying to reach for the wand but Miguel pushed me back.

"Knock it off, Lana! I'm doing what's best for you!" Miguel yelled.

"I agree, you don't need to be wasting your time with magic, Lana," Scar said.

"Hey, leave her alone! She has the right to make her own decisions and do what she wants." Gwen said firmly.

"You guys will let Lana go to this school or I'll make sure you'll regret it," Ahadi said dangerously. Miguel and Scar looked at each other for a second. The silence was broken when Miguel threw my wand back to me.

"Fine. She can go waste her time at that dumb school." Scar spat. Miguel and Scar said nothing more. They walked away, leaving me trembling with fear. I buried my head in my hands.

"God, I hate being married to them," I said.

"Why don't you just divorce them?" Margo suggested.

"What?! No way! You know what they will do to us if we leave them. They will kill us!" I shouted. Margo put her arm around my shoulder. "I know it's tough hun, but we'll figure something out. You can't be trapped in a life of abuse forever." Margo said. I smiled and rested my head on her shoulder. I turned my attention back to my family after kissing her. "There is also something else I should tell you guys," I said.

"Fire away," Mufasa said.

"While I was missing after the car accident, Harry, Ron, and Hermione took me in. They adopted me as their daughter. But that was before I reunited with you all. I wasn't replacing you guys. They just adopted me so I could be a part of their family and so that someone would look after me while you guys were away." I explained. "I hope that's okay with you."

"Of course," Uru said with a smile.

Ahadi turned to Harry, Ron, and Hermione. "Thank you for taking care of my daughter." He said. "I hope she didn't cause too much trouble."

"You're welcome, she wasn't any trouble at all," Ron said. For the next few hours, I spent hanging out with my family and catching up with them. We talked, watched a movie, played video games, and goofed around. After I finished a round of Mario Kart with Margo, Harry, Ron, and Hermione called me up to their room. After making my way upstairs, I sat down next to my parents.

"We need to talk, Lana. since you wanted to know why people act so surprised...It's because when I was a baby, I was attacked by a wizard, Voldemort." Harry said.

"Don't say the name!" Ron hissed.

Harry sighed, looking a bit annoyed but he rephrased his wording. "You-Know-Who gave me this scar. He used the killing curse on me, but somehow, I survived. I defeated him. People don't survive the killing curse, that's why I'm so famous," Harry said.

"Oh wow. So that's how you got that scar?" I said.

"Yeah," Harry said.

"Just a warning, people might be looking at you and looking surprised when you mention your last name is Potter," Ron said.

"Oh okay," I said. Yeah, I changed my last name to Potter after Harry adopted me. I'm glad I got to change it because I didn't want to share a last name with the man who abuses and rapes me and my father.

Today has been full of surprises. I can't wait to see what adventures await me at Hogwarts.
