Chapter 3
"It's time to die!"
Seeing as it hasn't been five seconds yet, the Deva path could do nothing but watch helplessly as the red sphere made contact with his back blasting him forward towards the incoming glider.
"Aaaargh"
Seeing the glider pierce the Deva paths chest and now with two paths in its blades, Demogoblin's eyes glow red, manipulating the glider to quickly ascend into the air intent on destroying both paths with another missile while he was freefalling without a care in the world.
Glancing to his right he sees the other paths he had wounded earlier running towards him which was amusing seeing as one was practically useless since all it could do was read his mind which wasn't happening while the other one he was pretty sure couldn't summon anything anymore.
Just as he was about to conjure some razor bats, he then notices he is being covered in explosive tags.
At this he couldn't help but smirk.
With Konan:
She couldn't believe what was happening. Nagato was losing!
"This..can't be happening"
If she doesn't act quickly, Nagato will lose another two paths. Steeling her resolve she does several hand signs and starts sending several explosive tags towards the unsuspecting demon.
Her moment arrives when the hooded demon starts freefalling after attacking the Deva path with the red glowing sphere.
"I've got you now"
Her explosive tags begin covering the hooded demon from head to toe and with a single hand sign the explosive tags go off only for the hooded demon to be engulfed in a large dome of fire.
"Wha-"
*Boom*,
Hearing an explosion from above, she then looks up and sees the remains of the Asura and Deva path falling into the water below.
"HeheHAHAHAHAHA!"
Looking back down at the flames she sees the silhouette of the hooded demon once again standing on the flame winged creature that had somehow reappeared in a span of a second with the demon then spreading its arms having the flames disperse revealing it unharmed.
"You have no idea how much I missed this." Demogoblin said with his eyes glowing a menacing red having Konan feel something she hasn't felt in a long time.
Fear.
"Gotcha"
Hearing her old sensei behind her, before she could react Jiraiya quickly places a seal on her cutting off her chakra followed by one of the toads using their long tongues and wrapping it around her to stop her from escaping.
Konan seeing this knows it's over and can do nothing but fall to her knees and look down in defeat.
"Looks like Demogoblin is about to wrap this up" Jiraiya declared having Konan look back towards the fight below while filling the demons name in her head for later.
'Demogobin'
With Demogoblin:
Demogoblin seeing Jiraiya successfully capture Konan decides now is the time to end the fight.
Looking towards both the incoming paths and the path that could revive them decides to cloud their shared vision.
Conjuring several pumpkin smoke bombs, he then tosses them at the incoming paths and then detonates them creating a massive cloud of smoke trapping them inside while he flies into the smoke.
It isn't long before cries of pain could be heard inside the smoke followed by the Naraka path flying out of the smoke after having been kicked out of the smoke by Demogoblin revealing it was armless and covered in several shuriken like pumpkins which then detonated destroying the path.
The smoke the slowly dissipates revealing the hooded demon whose clawed hands were covered in blood while down below were the dismembered body parts of the other two paths floating in the water.
With Jiraiya and the Others:
"He actually did it. He beat Pein" Jiraiya said while also shocked at the brutality.
There was no question the hooded demon was beyond dangerous and yet….he saved him.
'But why? What was his angle? What if-'
"Jiraiya-chan"
Hearing the green toad call to him he then glances to his right.
"There's no question this Demogoblin is extremely dangerous. Even more so at the fact he has his own Rinnegan. But the fact of the matter is he is helping us so let's not be too hasty into assuming he's going to attack us next. Lets just keep calm and see what he plans to do next"
Jiraiya was about to say something but the purple toad beat him to it.
"How could you say to stay calm! Did you not just see what he did to Pein? What if he tries to kill us next?"
Pa hearing this turns to her.
"If he wanted to kill us he wouldn't have saved Jiraiya boy"
At this Ma has her shoulders slump and sighs.
"Fine"
"I see you succeeded in capturing her"
Hearing Demogoblins voice they all look back towards him only to see him just hovering right in front of them.
Jiraiya hearing what he said then narrows his eyes at the hooded demon.
"You knew I would go after Konan?"Jiraiya asked seeing the hooded demon nod.
"Of course. Why do you think I didn't target her? After all, she's the only who can lead us to Nagato"
Nagato.
Just what did this demon want with his old student?
"I will never betray him! So you might as well kill me!" Konan suddenly declared having everyone turn to her.
Jiraiya noticed that the second Konan said that, the hooded demon frowned for a brief second before returning to that demented smirk.
"You fail to understand something my dear. Whether or not you tell us is irrelevant for as you should already know by now, there are other ways to get information" Demogoblin said while pointing to his eyes causing Konan to think for a second before her eyes widened,
The Rinnegan.
How could she forget! He could read her mind!
Looking at the hooded demons eyes she expected him to reach out with his hand to read her mind but instead its eyes glowed red enshrouding her in darkness.
Looking around the darkness she sees nothing but an endless void only to suddenly feel a raindrop land on top of her head.
"Huh?"
Without warning it starts raining hard leaving her no choice but to use both hands to cover her head only to quickly realize she wasn't trapped by the toad anymore.
Realizing this she gets back on her feet to make her escape only to suddenly notice her reflection on the water having her eyes widen.
For you see, starring back at her was not a woman wearing the black Akatsuki robes but a little girl wearing tattered clothes.
It was her when she was younger.
"It can't be"
Had she paid more attention she would've seen the dark silhouette of Demogoblin standing behind her with glowing red eyes grinning.
