Chapter 18 Kaga Kusha: Curses! …My plans were foiled again!
This girl is really a good minio- valuable asset for our club!
I have seen her work! While she does not plan as far ahead as I do (of course I plan ahead more than others, I am so much smarter than everyone here at Akademi!) she still does her work on her current projects with focus and diligence and she has amazing fine motor skills!
Of course someone as amazing as her would come here to the science club, after all here you can have access to the best technology found here!
I have an amazing plan to get Megami Saikou to willingly submit herself to me, and then I will be able to become the CEO of the Saikou company. Saishou Saikou and my parents are my role model. I want to surpass them all! AHAHAHAHAA!
Humanity needs a strong, competent leader to guide it! I know about the current state of the world! If nothing is done, humanity will spiral down towards a total cultural, societal and environmental collapse. And who would be better suited to guide humanity towards recovery and away from those dangers than me?
First step of my grand master plan was to enrol at Akademi. I could have gone to a top university much more befitting of my superior intelligence, and school here is boring, because I know all the subjects in and out, but at this very School I will get close to Megami eventually.
Now I am spying on her with my amazing miniature drones to learn about her likes and dislikes.
I also intend to get myself a robot army for … my purposes. At first we only had a cleaning robot, but Ayano has built a semi automatized production line which produces mechas at a rate of 5 mechas per 6 weeks!
Oh, she is truly one of my most valuable assets. With her, my plans will be accelerated months- no years! This is so amazing! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!
Horo Guramu is very valuable too, his holographic devices will be revolutionary!
The other Science club member are mostly extras. Although Yaku Zaishi has recently had increased success in synthetizing various chemical compounds and explosives.
It would be a folly to only allow some people into the science club. After all, it would weaken the science club and its reputation, and some people are more valuable that they seem.
They all see me as crazy, mysterious and dangerous. I don´t care, as long as it won´t have serious consequence for me! My plan is much more important than those people! I don´t need to waste much of my precious time to appear pleasant to them! I know where my priorities lie!
I do have to appease my minio- club members however. I help them a little to get on their good side, and because happy club members are much more productive than unhappy ones. If they feel safe they will worry less and work more!
I won't divulge any specifics for my grand master plan, because then I would become vulnerable and easy to counter, I can't let that happen. After all, an enemy whose plan you know, is already half-defeated!
They may know my surface intentions, but will never be able to find out the specifics about them!
Hmm…Ayano Aishi has secretly looked at me with confused and mistrustful expressions. I can't have her dislike me, she is extremely pivotal for me to achieve my plans, I need to get on her good side.
After the 5 mechas were constructed, we decided to parade with them through the hallways for all of Akademi to see the glory of SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY!
Curses! It did not go as planned!
We were sent to the guidance counsellor. The counsellor told us that we should not carry around dangerous weapons. I decided to speak up and correct her.
"While you may be correct about the fact that we attracted attention with our actions, we did not actually carry around any weapons. These mechas are unarmed and completely harmless."
"You still disturbed the peace at akademi with your actions. You needlessly scared the students with your mechas!"
"But we adhered to the rules! The Lessons were over and we were just showing our science to the students. Those who weren´t interested could have ignored us. Doesn´t the cooking club carry around their food too? Or the music club their instruments?
There is no rule forbidding us from parading our mechas around school!"
The counsellor was not convinced and sighed. "This does not change the fact that you scared the students and obstructed the hallways and hindered students from moving around."
Now Ayano chan spoke up. "We apologize for causing you trouble. We did not know that our actions would disturb the people around us. We understand what we did wrong and sincerely regret our actions. We will not do anything like this again."
She is decent at apologizing, I must say.
The counsellor was placated.
"It's refreshing to speak to a student with a respectful attitude for a change. I'm grateful for your cooperation.
It makes a lot of sense. If you have to move around your mechas, … please do it only in the early morning and as little as possible. This is a rule which will be in effect from now on. If you try this again … there will be serious consequences.
I'm sending you all home for the rest of the day! You are hereby dismissed!"
What did Ayano chan do differently than I did? Hmph, I am supposed to be the best, but she was better than me at appeasing the counsellor!
Hah! I got it!
People's emotions!
While I was correct with my assessment that we did adhere to the rules, people's feelings are a separate matter from logical correctness, and apologizing for our actions will placate their feelings. Under the condition that we don´t repeat the undesired actions again of course.
This. It explains why Ayano chan succeeded where I didn´t.
Curses! My plans have been delayed again!
Now we need to lie low and act covertly for a while. This will slow us down! But we must not raise any suspicio-attention.
We should be waiting in the shadows, until we can strike-I mean get active again.
Unfortunately we will have to wait some months until the memory wears off. But People will forget eventually. If we get active too early, it will certainly endanger my grand master plan, I can´t let that happen.
Creating a machine to erase that memory from the minds of peoples would not be worth it. We could get active earlier, but there is no guarantee that such a machine would not backfire on me! I need to play this safely…my plan must not be foiled!
Hmph…I am not as infallible as I had thought…Damn it! …maybe having a good reputation should be a higher priority. Even if it slows me down, with Ayano chan accelerating my progress I can risk delegating away some of my precious time and put in effort to appear more inconspicuous…
I know that Megami Saikou does not want to interact with people that have low reputation, she only wants the best of the best. I will adjust my grand master plan slightly. If I maximize my reputation Megami Saikou will fall for me in no time! Megami Saikou, you will be mine! You just don´t know it yet! Hehehehe!
