Chapter 19 Joho Teikyosha: This will make great headlines!
Well…that was certainly something.
The science club had built five mechas in secret and then paraded them around the school on a fine may afternoon. This attracted great attention and scared the students. The perpetrators … namely the entire science club- were sent to the counsellors office and sent home early that day. This will make great headlines for my newspaper!
I have observed Ayano Aishi. She is … interesting, and she is … not what I expected she would be.
I thought that she would be an emotionless, apathetic and psychopathic empty shell of a human that does not care for other people and tries to appear inconspicuous.
She is the mostly the opposite of that. She is calm and stoic and shows emotions frequently. She cares a lot about her friends and utterly fails to be inconspicuous. Hah, those mechas have made quite a commotion at school!
I also found out about her likes and dislikes. She is obsessed with cooking, the occult, science and martial arts, and she likes Justice and dislikes gossip and violence. Heh, she is a plain good girl and believes in those myths of justice and "be nice and kind and good". The wold is not a fairy tale, silly girl. Want to try and be a hero? It is not going to work out! It will blow up in your face - just like it did for my fath- I mean -for the man who begot me!
I will do what I do best and what has worked out for me my entire life- work alone, dig for information, sell information, stalk, blackmail, lie, steal, cheat and survi-
I shouldn´t have thought that, because I stumbled over a chair and fell on the floor. Tempting fate- a classical trope in stories. Never mind!
Ayano Aishi interacts the most with the science club members and the strongest students of the martial arts club and i´ve seen her secretly looking with disdain at the Bullies and Osoro shidesu.
I have talked to Ayano Aishi a bit and sold her my newspapers. She seems wary of me, clever of her.
Hmm, considering how much Ayano chan strives to be a goodie, I think it is more likely that she could be turned against her mother and used to expose her. She probably doesn't even know, what her mother did. Heh, if she finds out, it will be quite the nasty surprise for her. What a pity. Then I can swoop in and "help" her and get her mother ruined. If Ayano chan complies, I will let her be, as she is quite the source of interesting topics for my newspapers and can be useful in the future.
On the other hand, Ayano Aishi could still go full yandere like almost all of her family, even if it is not as certain as I previously thought anymore
Speaking of other people, there is Enpitsu Byoga from the art club, I have spoken to him, he is a vain, narcissistic boy obsessed with his own beauty, and he does not car f or other people, but I had my fun talking to him about how amazing photography and gossip are, and how nice it is to have money. Unlike me he likes art and drama too. He dislikes sport like I do, but unlike me also violence. I find violence fun and entertaining. This I the first time I have talked to other people regularly. Even though I usually prefer solitude, this is just refreshing.
I don't like him or anything, but it is just fun when you meet people with similar interests and attitudes like you have.
But after all he is still vain and self-centred. Hmm I think, I am at times too, but it's just because I can do so much hacking and information gathering, which other people simply can´t. So I have the right to be this way.
