Chapter 35 Ayano Yudasei : The second year at Akademi

Some time passed and finally the second year started in early march. The student council got new members and Megami Saikou was elected as the president, the cooking club got new members too, for example some japan loving girl (Ajia Ashitomi, obviously she dislikes the America loving Seiyo Akanishi) and the science club got the Kurusu sisters and Meka Nikaru, who likes our mechas and anime a lot. However Denkigi Justsuha had graduated from Akademi and was no longer part of the club. Sad. I got used to his presence.

Funnily enough I befriended the new student council member Shiromi Torayoshi, I petted the cat near the school building and Shiromi Torayoshi made animal noses and I answered her with more animal noses, we had a whole conversation consisting of various animal noises, and then I gave her a flower, someone had given me it from the gardening club for whatever reason, and she ate it while looking straight at me! It was an edible flower to be precise, and I was really surprised, but I made some purring noises. From that day on we were best friends. Shiromi Torayoshi has dull eyes, as if she had seen a demon, but I doubt that this is the case. She is also always really chill, relaxed and mysterious. But I like her, she has a really unusual sense of humour, and her hobbies (Train spotting, making clay balls and the likes) are hilarious too.

Speaking of Student council members, I really like Kiyo Tatsuhara and her fascination with justice, the human spirit and her determination to fight evil. People call her eccentric, but rambling with her about fighting evil and training in the martial arts club with her is really fun. She is really strong, similar to Raibaru Fumetsu, Osoro Shidesu or Megami Saikou, so fighting with her is always a challenge and worth it, because you never know who of us will win. She reminds me of the Fire Pillar from that Anime where Humans fight against evil Demons. You know, the "Pillars" are the strongest Fighters of the humans, and their task is to slay demons, and so many of them die at the end of the story, it is really sad. It is also fascinating how some demons regret their horrible actions. I like how the Protagonist understands them and shows compassion to them instead of unnecessarily trampling on them.

"Set your Heart ablaze!" that phrase is coming to my mind.

Luckily we live in a better world where almost all of us can live and survive , and instead of Demons, the Enemies were evil Saikous and Aishis, but now both are defeated. Hmm, if I was a character form that Anime, would I be one of those Butterfly girls, or would I be that pink Demon girl with that Muzzle? You know, with me being a defector from the evil fraction, not as a demon, but an Aishi, and instead of a muzzle I wore a protective necklace to prevent the curse from affecting me. Bonus point I broke a curse like never before, too. And when I did that, to me it felt similar to that scene where the demon girl can finally walk in the sun. Maybe the very Moment I stepped in to defend Joho chan from my mother was the real deciding moment. Or when I met my Friends, and helped the Kurusu Sisters and Sumire chan. Or even when Father taught me how to be a decent person. I can't tell for sure, it all went gradually with some jumps, I simply can't pinpoint the exact moment I decisively succeeded. Bonus Points, I am fairly protective of my loved ones and can deal out kicks quite well. So that would count.

Joho chan and the Journalist could fit the Role of the Messenger Crows and the Good Saikous could fit the Role of the Family that leads that demon slayer corps. Maybe Saishou Saikou could fit the Role of that Demon king, as he seems to the most like a pure evil person to me. - nah, these comparisons go way too far now... I have rambled on that weird topic for long enough, I think….

Even the occult club had new members, two girls, Supana churu (she likes the occult, reading and science) and Kokuma Jutsu (likes the occult and reading), they are more interesting than the other occult club members, and I like talking to them.

Sumire Saitozaki got a new fake surname and ID by Joho chan, and now goes to Akademi again after recovering psychologically, and now spends her time in the library and the gardening club. She has a red spider lily as an accessory in her hair. Clever hint at her sad past, that one.

I also explored the gaming club, Yaku Zaishi talked with Horo guramu about Magical Girl Pretty Miyuki, which was hilarious to listen to, but Horo Guramu, who is usually a very serious person, liked the busty model more than the story itself. Silly Horo Guramu.

Ah, and also Osana chan finally confessed to Taro Yamada in early April. She was really rude to him beforehand, because she always got embarrassed and did not know how to act around him, and I and Raibaru chan told her to behave and she really tried her best, this way it was much better.

Also, some creepy hikikomori had abducted her cat, so she could not call the police on him , because then he would kill her cat, and he wanted her to become his "Magical Girl Pretty Miyuki"- what a bastard! I would have liked to break his legs and kick his balls, but I know that this is not an option, so I just sneaked inside his house and recovered Osana chan´s cat without alerting him. Then I invited Osana chan home to me and talked to her a bit. Osana chan was glad that she got her cat back and I told her of the cat I met on my old school way, which taught me boundaries, and how I did not find it anymore someday. Osana chan suddenly pulled me into a hug, which surprised me.

Osana chan asked me if I needed a favour, and that she would be willing to give it to me and I just told her that the time for such a favour would probably come eventually.

I-confessed too, but not to Taro Yamada, like the Aishi curse would have wanted me to do, but to Yaku Zaishi, I brought a bento, then a nice science book ,then we watched a cool movie and I gave him some rare chemicals to work with, and on Friday I confessed to him and he accepted my proposal. It was awesome! The Kurusu Sisters and all my friends congratulated me on that.

And even Joho Teikyosha confessed to Enpitsu Byoga that week. Still quite a surprise, for someone as solitary, reclusive and independent as her. However she told us that he is still vain, and she said that she intends to beat the superfluous narcissism out of him. Poor Enpitsu, he will have quite the experience, hehehe! However, Enpitsu Byoga must have improved already, from what I have seen, he has drawn not only self-portraits, but also portraits of Joho chan and some other things.

Next week was fine too, Amai Odayaka and Shoku Tsuburaya and then Kokona Haruka and Riku Soma confessed to each other, and Riku Soma will help Kokona Haruka with her financial problems, how sweet. I once real hated the drama club members , but I understand why everyone has different likes and dislikes now, as everyone has different experiences and personalities, so I don't hate them in any form anymore, they just have fun in different ways than I do.

The bullies however are still people I dislike a lot. The even got an new member, Hoshiko Mizudori, she is really mean.

The bullies even tried to trash talk about the Kurusu sister and told everyone that they are stupid robots, and I told them in the most polite manner that I could muster to stop it. Or else there would be consequences such a permanent expulsion. Luckily they gave up there stupid attempts of trying to ruin the Kurusu Sister´s reputation. But they always try to stir up some shit, I just cant stand them… Don't they ever learn?...Ugh.

Kokoro Momoiru wanted to join the bullies at first, because she was bullied previously and wanted to avoid that by getting into their good graces, but she decided to join the gardening club, because she likes nature a lot. Good choice!

Horuda Umetsu, called Horuda Puresu by most, is another first years student, who had been bullied since kindergarten, because she is "creepy". I helped her look less creepy, told her to have a good posture and change her hairstyle so both of her eyes were visible, and it helped a bit, and I convinced her to join the gaming club, because she like video games, and this ways she can make friends, making her les of a target for bullying. She also talks to Kuu Dere sometimes.

Interestingly there is a game titled "Yavania: Senpai of the night" that Yaku kun told me about, and it is probably about of my distant ancestor, who fought the ancestor of the Basu sisters, if the legends are true. Fascinating. Luckily the Basu sisters will not be a problem and will never know about the machine.

The next week saw Kizana Sunobu getting exposed, she harassed poor Kokona Haruka for having a twin drill hairstyle, and claimed Kokona Haruka copied her, but it was Kokona Haruka herself who had the hairstyle fist, not Kizana Sunobu! Kizana Sunobu had pushed Kokona Haruka down the stairs once, this got uncovered by me and Kokoro Momoiru after Joho chan got the information for me, and Kizana Sunobu lost much of her reputation, and while she was not kicked out of the drama club, Tsuruzo Yamazaki is now the new president of the drama club. Kiazana Sunobu really had it coming.

The next week Oka confessed to Shin Higaku (despite him disliking martial arts), I am so proud of her!

Then Asu Rito needed help, her competitors were bribing the judges, but I sneaked in and took pictures of it, and her competitors were exposed.

Then the quiet and athletic Iruka Dorufino confessed to her.

Then we had Muja Kina as a substitute nurse, and while she was kind, she was like -ULTRA -clumsy, always tripping on her feet, so I let her so some exercises to improve her balance a bit, and while she was still ultra-clumsy and far from elegant, it was at least a bit better, and she could do her nurse duties. She was once a student at Akademi, before she decided to become a nurse. Now she has better chances being a successful nurse, she will always train her balance and motor skills now, and should be able to work just about well enough to succeed. She will never be able to become a surgeon at any point though, but luckily this is not an issue for her at all. She left after her week was over, and we wished her well.

The following week was intense. This time a pervert substitute teacher was harassing poor Taro Yamada. Don't forget that he already had Osana chan. Such a perverted substitute teacher. I exposed her with Sasha Nyuki, a photography club member and Sunako Tunesu, a cooking club member. Sunako Tunesu is interesting, she is a new cooking club member, and she had a strained relationship with her mother, because her mother told her not to scoop in over peoples business, but that was before the truth about my mother came out. Ugh. So now she gets along with her mother again, which is good for her, ugh, if only I had a normal mother. Sunako Tunesu has a positive attitude towards me, because I am a good person who helps people and I am not evil.

We as a detective trio had collected enough evidence of her perverted behaviour (harassing students and the likes, I don't even want to go into detail), to have her arrested, which was great.

Then came another week, and Osoro Shidesu out of all people got my help. Well actually Gaku Hikitsuri was asking me to help her. She has a pet bird, and a gang had stolen it from her to force her to join said gang. She doesn't want to. She is only as dangerous as she is, because she had a horrible life, her mother is dead for some reason and her father is mentally damaged. So I got my information from Joho chan, and I retrieved the bird for Osoro chan, without getting caught. I was really amazing how I did not have to fight the gang members, because that would have been really dangerous.

Anyway, Osoro Shidesu has a hidden soft side, and she and all the delinquent were rehabilitated and Genka Kunahito helped Osoro Shidesu, when she saw what a crappy life poor Osoro chan had. By the way Genka Kunahito has helped me too, when I had problems after Mother was arrested. Genka Kunahito is a good person.

Osoro shidesu decided to join the cooking club out of all clubs, turns out she likes cooking, Osoro shidesu also changed her outfit and wow, she looks really pretty! More like Osoro shideshita I think! But don't tell it to her face or she will beat you up. I did it once and we fought pretty hard, we can be glad not things were damaged, but it was a bloody draw and we apologized to each other and agreed to never try such a thing again, ouch…

Osoro chan also talked a bit with Raibaru chan and is now a frequent guest of the martial arts club, she will teach awesome moves to the students who are interested. Osoro chan also visits the light music club from time to time. By the way Osoro chan really disliked Megami Saikou in the past, but now she does not care about her anymore.

Osoro Shidesu confessed to Umeji Kizuguchi, it was hilarious. Now these two are together as members of the cooking club and acting all lovey-dovey. Remember that they were delinquents prior to this, it is really funny and heart-warming to see them this jolly.

Hokuto Furukizu, Gaku Hikitsuri and Hayanari Tsumetao joined the art club, also a hilarious sight.

The we have Dairoku Surikizu joining the photography club, but he also frequents the occult club room, it is funny to see all the former delinquents act normally.

However they still meet up at the incinerator area regularly and train each other. It is nice to see them together.

The following week Hanako Yamada came to Akademi, because she wanted to see her brother again. This was also the time when the culture festival was held at Akademi again.

I got really scared when I saw her cling to her brother, because it reminded me of my evil mother and it was embarrassing, remember that my strength is on par with Osoro Shidesu and Raibaru chan, and now I was scared of a little girl! Does she remind me that much of a yandere? But I asked Osana chan for the favour and she talked with Hanako Yamada, so she would not cling to her brother too much, and her brother gave her a tough love speech, that she should not cling so much to him and be her own person. Hilariously she, the little energetic girl, met shy and timid Hazu Kashibuchi, the last member of the sewing club, who sewed plushies for her and they fell in love. Such an odd couple! But they have similar interests after all. Taro Yamada was happy that his sister got herself a boyfriend, at least that is what Osana chan told me.

Hmm when I was young I thought of Hanako as a barbarian, almost like the bullies, because she dislikes science and the occult, but she is just similar to her brother and Osana chan and she enjoys her life.

I talked to her afterwards a bit, and she is really not as scary as I had thought. Actually I like the Yamadas, they are just plain people who want to enjoy a normal life. Not the way I do things, but nonetheless understandable.

Actually the reason that Hanako chan clung to her brother is because her brother had to care for her, when their parents neglected them. Their father had an affair with another women, so their mother was sad and could not care for them. And Hanako hated the woman who her father had an affair with and was wary of her brother getting a girlfriend , because she feared that he would neglect her then. Luckily the affair ended and their parents reconciliated. This all makes sense, and Osana chan supported the Yamada siblings during the time they had difficulties. Osana chan is a good person. It is amazing how much Osana chan trusts me, otherwise she would not have told me all this.

By the way I have told my full backstory about my family (Aishi lore and what happened in my life) to a few people. Joho chan and Megami Saikou already know it, but I told it to the Kurusu Sisters first, to Yaku-kun before we proposed to each other, and later to Oka chan, to Osana chan and Raibaru Fumetsu.

All of them were horrified by the story but they applauded to me for breaking the curse and they still like me.

The Kurusu sisters will always support me, and are really happy that I succeeded.

Osana chan found the story the creepiest, and Oka chan said she had a strong hunch that such a curse was shackling me, and congratulated me the most for breaking it. Raibaru Fumetsu commended my strong morals. Yaku kun likes me no matter what, knowing my dark past does not bother him as much as I had feared. He told em that this sounds like some edgy story from some strange manga. Hmm maybe Midori is right and we all live in a video game, or maybe inside a story, who knows…

Then we finally got the strangest and most fascinating couples out of all. Kaga Kusha and Megami Saikou.

Oh, those two have come a really long way.

Remember how arrogant, detached, socially unadjusted and obsessed with his plan Kaga Kusha was when I met him first? Well, he is still quite fixated on his plan and likes to ramble on and on about it, and he is still fairly eccentric, but he has become so much more socially graceful and respectful and now he really cares for his people(mainly the science cub), which he did not do beforehand. I am proud of him and glad that he improved. Recognizing your flaws, owning up to your mistakes and adjusting your behaviour accordingly is a really valuable train to have.

Megami Saikou on the other hand was always obsessed with being perfect and had supressed her urge to play and enjoy life. She was always forced to work and she disdained lazy and incompetent people and was strict and cold, but now she has had the opportunity to enjoy life and be more human, and you can see clearly how much better she feels now. Her family has taught her compassion and to be less harsh, and it shows well.

It is so funny watching these two being in love, turns out even the smartest and most professional people become irrational and act all too human, when it comes to love.

It is also weird that so many people confessed their feelings to each other in such a short span of time, it is like as if there was a mating season ongoing, but as we know for humans there is no specific mating season and it is all the time…

Heh - what an awkward topic…

Actually, in truth it was me and Joho chan, who helped all these people get together. Not to forget Ryuto Ippongo and Pippi Osu from the gaming club, they had crushes fort each other and recently became a couple too.

We even got Raibaru Fumetsu and Budo Masuta together eventually , that was hilarious as well.

I´m just glad that things are going well again. Last summer and autumn were really awful.

By the way, my cousin has confessed to her senpai after peacefully convincing her "Rivals" to leave him to her. She helped them and hurt none of them. This is one of the best things to happen, if I recall correctly no Aishi has managed to not hurt people in the past before us two. I congratulated her to her success and from what I know, her mother will leave her be and she can live a normal life with her senpai.

Megami Saikou tried to hide it, but she was impressed by it as well.

I think proposing peacefully to senpai will also break the curse, so the world will be safe of evil Aishis in the future.

My cousin was very confused as to why I changed my family name, but she understood. It brought me great pain in the past, and I was horrified about our families past murders, She understood that! and she did not hate me for changing my family name, which is... a huge deal. My aunt was not very enthusiastic about it, to say the least….but I told her that I would still be an Aishi, if not on paper then in real life (to have better reputation amongst things) and it placated her …somewhat.

At first I did not think much about being an Aishi, then I knew the horrible truth and I desperately wanted to deny my heritage at some point, but by now I firmly know that I am descend from both Yudaseis and Aishis, they are my heritage and I am both of them…
