"Mommy, Harry and Sara are being super-slow this morning, and we're gonna be late, I'll probably get a late-slip or be in detention." Shocket heard May, her and Itsy's eldest kit yell making her and Itsy sighing exchanging a look.
"We'll be down in a moment sweetie, make sure Teefs and Floor are ready too." Itsy called from upstairs.
It was a typical morning in their house and a school morning and with five kits, it took a while to get ready, eat breakfast then get oht of the house in tine and with all five kits in different school levels, Harry and Sara in kindergarten, May was in first-grade and Teefs and Floor were in pre-school so they were often late but Shocket and Itsy were working on it, getting dressed but Itsy grinned in her Spider-Girl outfit got Shocket to climb on her back after grabbing her bag which had what she needed for the day, including her phone Rocket Senior had given her plus was wearing her wrist-comm, which was how she kept in contact or how family, their friends or kids's teachers could contact her.
"Ready to Spidey-swing, Shockie." Itsy asked with a grin.
"Uh-huh but I'm not too heavy for you, right." Shocket asked.
"Nope, you're fine, raccoons are meant to be chunky, it addsto yohr charm." Itsy replied web-swinging downstairs hearing applause from their kids especially Harry and Sara wanting tomtry that too when they got home making Shocket and Itsy give both blue-skinned, Raccoon-tailed youngsters a look seeing then wearing Spidey hoodies and jeans with sneakers.
"Mommy and I can do it, because we know what we're doing but you don't, so no copying, but we should go, before I get messages from your teachers." Shocket said.
"To the Spidey Jeep." Itsy declared as they stampxed out the house to the embiggened Spidey jeep which Itsy could drive as she'd recently gotten her learner permit so had to practice driving for her test which was coming up and Shocket was helping her practice like the school runs making the kids excited hoping for some excitemebt before school, Rocket had let them watch some of the Fast and Furious movies so they wanted their moms to drive like that.
"No we're notdrifting to school or getting there jumping over the roof in the Spidey jeep, even if the queens of Schism are your aunts." Itsy said seeing Shocket grin, imagining how cool that could be giggling softly which was music to her ears knowing her Shocket had a big hirthday coming up knowing growing up, how her birthday madeher feel arriving at the pre-school as Itsy and Shocket unbuckled Teefs and Floor from seats putting Teefs in his wheelchair guiding them in relievibg their teacher.
"Sorry we're late, getting five kids out of the house is nuts." Itsy told him.
"It's fine, at least they're here." he said seeing them kiss Teefs and Floor leaving heading back to the Spidey-Jeep seeing May with her arms crossed frowning making Itsy and Shocket guess she was having a bad morning and Harry and Sara might've poked her getting back in, taking Harry and Sara to kindergarten and May to school, they went to Schism Elementary but saw May rush out after parking making Shocket sigh, feeling Harry and Sara hug her and Itsy before leaving the jeep.
"They're all at school, thank Grootness, you wanna get coffee." Itsy said to Shocket.
"Yes please, Schismbucks sounds good, after that." Shocket to,d her feeling her squeeze her paw gently knowing school mornings madecShocket stressy compared to her taking deep-breaths before they put on their seatbelts leaving the Schism Elementary parking lot listening to music parking at Schismbucks entering but Itsy's eyes widened seeing Linda was one of the baristas deciding not to point it oht to Shocket.
"Hot chocolate and brownies pkease, what the heck are you doing here." Shocket said placibg her and Itsy's orders seeing Linda only she was quiet, staring taking her in realising she was older so maybe they could try being friends again.
"H-Hi Shocket, it's good to see you, and yohr Itsy." she mumbled.
"Ummm, hi Linda, it's been a lomg time but you work here now." Shocket said.
"Y-Yeah I live at the wellness farm." Linda said softer making Shocket get it, as her brother lived there until a thief busted in making Itsy and Shocket annoyed steppingstones in taking care of the thief smirking as Itsy webbed the thief up seeing Shocket contacting the royal guard to pick the thief up, checking on the patrons and employees including Linda but she was surprised Shocket smiled at her.
"What happened was in the past, we've gotten older but if you want, we can try being friends again." she told her hearing Itsy calling seeing Rocket Senior.
"Grandpa Marshmallow, it's okay we handled the situation, but why're you here." Shocket told the elder chunky male-raccoon making him grin.
"I felt like visiting kiddo, somebody I know has a big birthdat coming up, plus I saw that Linda girl leaving, you okay." he told Shocket.
"Yeah I'm okay, she lives on the wellness farm." Shocket replied yawning as Itsy understood
"Mommy, Sara's not using her cultery, like you taught us." Harry told Itsy and Shocket.
"No fair Harry, snitches get stitches like the big-kids say." Harry heard Sara repky.
It was early-evening so the family wwre having dinner but the kids had gotten back from school, did homework but having dinner only May noticed that Shocket was distracted asking if she was alright, seeing her nodding making Itsy guess it involved their visit to Schismbucks seeing her sweet Guardian excuse herself from the table which made the kids concerned, thinking their mommy was sick.
"She's just tired, mommies and daddies do so much during the day, it tires them out." .Itsy explained to them seeing May nodding in reply but Harry and Sara along with Teefs and Floor understood.
Later she was bringing Shocket toast with coffee knowing she hadn't eaten dinner seeing Shocket in jammies guessing she'd taken a bath ti relax kissing her making Shocket smile as she was letting her know she was okay and wanting to be friends with Linda again which she thought sweet.
"Somebody who loves toast and Spudeys looks sleepy after a lomg day." Itsy said grinning seeing Shocket giggle kissing her.
