Chapter 34
***The Next Day***
Liz: "Thank you, Monica, for letting me and the boys sleep over last night. We all had fun."
Monica: (chuckles) "Oh, you are all very welcome. We will all have to do this again soon."
Cameron: "Thank you, Grandma. I had a blast."
Jake: "I had fun, Grandma." (hugging Monica)
Monica: (smiles) "I'm so glad."
Aiden: (hopeful look) "Grandma, can we do it again?"
Monica: "Of course. I would love it if we did this again."
(Monica leans down to looks at Danny and smiles happily)
Monica: "You are more than welcome to stay here again, sweetie. I still consider you my grandson."
(Danny smiles wide and rushes into his grandma's arms)
Danny: "Thank you for saying that. I wasn't completely sure if I would be."
Jason: (to Danny) "You are family. Please know that, son."
(Jason and Danny embrace while Monica takes Elizabeth to the side)
Monica: "Did you and Jason get everything out in the open?"
Liz: "Yes. I'm dropping the boys off at home." (serious tone) "I'm going to confront Franco about if Aiden is truly Jason's. Jason is going to drop off Danny at Alexis' so he can have privacy to confront Sam about Aiden, as well. Before, Jason discussed Danny with Sam. Now, he's going to talk to her about Aiden."
Monica: (sighs) "I hope for Jason's sake and your sake, Sam and Franco admit their wrongdoing."
Liz: (shrugs) "I wouldn't put it past them to deny it."
Monica: "It's okay if you can't answer this. But I guess I'm a hopeless romantic at heart." (smiles) "Are you and Jason finally free to be together?"
Liz: "I want to be officially divorced from Franco first." (grins) "Jason said he is willing to wait. I'm going to go to Diane Miller as she'll get it done." (sighs deeply) "Monica, I hope Franco didn't have anything to do with Aiden's paternity. But, if he did, all bets are off."
Monica: "For your sake, I hope, so, too."
(Everyone says their goodbye's. Jason takes Danny to Alexis' cottage)
Alexis: "I got to say, I'm surprised to see Danny with you. I thought that you'd be dropping him off at Sam's."
Jason: (to Danny) "Go ahead, son. Go to your room and check out that new game Grandma Monica bought you."
Danny: (nods) "Okay."
(Once Alexis and Jason are alone, Jason speaks)
Jason: "I want to talk to Sam in private and I don't want to Danny to overhear."
(Alexis is a bit confused as she places a few strands of hair behind her ears)
Alexis: "Can I ask what it's about?"
Jason: (shrugs) "I'm pretty sure that Sam will go running to you after my talk with her to complain."
Alexis: (rolls her eyes) "Oh, goody."
(At Elizabeth's house, she drops off Cameron, Jake and Aiden. Cameron notices she's a bit tense)
Cameron: (concerned) "Is everything okay, mom?"
Liz: "I will be. I'll be back later."
(She hugs him before leaving. Cameron hoped wherever she was heading to she'd find the answers she needed)
***Scott's Penthouse***
Franco: "This is certainly a surprise. But I welcome the visit."
Liz: (shakes her head) "This isn't a social visit. I want to make that clear right now. I came here for a reason."
Franco: (confused) "O-kay. What's the reason?"
Liz: (serious tone) "I want the truth."
(Franco shakes his head in puzzlement)
Franco: "The truth about what?"
(Elizabeth looks at Franco directly in the eyes)
Liz: "I want to know if Aiden is really Jason's son and YOU knew all along?"
(Franco is wide-eyed! Holy shit! He was not expecting this! Franco stutters while trying to answer her question as he was at a loss for words)
Liz: "Don't deny it because I have proof that you and Sam talked about it."
(Franco clears his throat and composes himself)
Franco: "How did you find out?"
Liz: (scoffs) "Does it matter? I want to know if it's true."
(Franco briefly closes his eyes and sighs as he speaks)
Franco: "Yes, Jason is Aiden's biological father."
(Elizabeth gasps as she takes a step back and covers her mouth with her hand before speaking again)
Liz: "How long have you known?"
Franco: "To be honest, it was actually Sam's idea with Helena Cassadine years ago. Helena wanted Nikolas to be the dad. However, if Nikolas couldn't be the father? Lucky was the next choice."
(Elizabeth shakes her head in confusion as she tries to understand everything)
Liz: "How were Sam and Helena capable of this?"
Franco: (shrugs) "Think about it. Helena didn't want Jason to be the biological father and Sam knew Jake was Jason's. She didn't want you to share another child with Jason. So, Sam and Helena devised a plan. Sam paid off the lab tech and told them what the results would say."
(Elizabeth scoffs incredulously at the audacity of the two bitches! Wow)
Liz: "I'm surprised no one knew about this."
Franco: (shrugs casually) "As far as everyone knew, Lucky was the father."
(Franco slides his hands through his hair, facing his ex)
Franco: "I'm sorry because I knew that if you knew the truth, you and Jason would probably have been together a long time ago."
(In a fit of rage, Elizabeth slaps Franco across the face)
Liz: "I'm still planning on getting a DNA test for Aiden and Jason. But THAT'S for keeping the secret all of these years!"
(Franco wipes his red cheek and nods)
Franco: "I deserve that."
Liz: "You deserve that and a hell of a lot more, you son of a bitch. I want a divorce…effective immediately. You'll be hearing from Diane Miller soon."
(As Elizabeth walks to the door, Franco speaks)
Franco: "I am sorry about everything. Please know that."
Liz: "I don't want to hear it."
(Elizabeth slams the door behind her, making Franco jump a little from the noise)
***Sam's Penthouse***
(Sam rushes to the pounding that's at the front door)
Sam: "Okay! Okay! Hold on!"
(Once the door is opened, she wonders why Jason's so pissed)
Sam: (weird look) "What's with you? And where's Danny?"
(Jason walks past Sam to go inside)
Jason: "He's at Alexis' cottage as it's time we got a few things straight without Danny hearing."
(Sam shuts the door and Jason is facing her as she turns around)
Sam: (rolls her eyes) "What's this all about?"
(Jason folds his arms over his chest and looks at her face)
Jason: "Is Aiden my son? Did you know about it this entire time?"
(Sam sighs as she raises her arms briefly)
Sam: "What's the point in answering because you've obviously already made up your mind?"
Jason: (yells) "Stop evading the damn question!"
(Sam can't help but be hurt by his outburst, but just shrugs it off)
Sam: "What's the point, Jason, because you're going to think what you want? Besides, you have the recording, so you already know the answer, don't you?"
(Jason shakes his head in disappointment)
Jason: "I guess I was hoping you'd be a grownup and admit what you did. I wanted to hear it from you. But, I see you're still the same selfish bitch you've always been."
(He walks to her until he's mere inches away from her)
Jason: (low tone) "Just know that you had the chance to tell the truth. You had a chance to own up to what you did. You're going down, Sam."
(As Jason walks to the door, Sam shouts)
Sam: (spits) "Not if your precious 'Lizzie' goes down first, you fucking asshole!"
(Jason slams the front door behind him. She throws something breakable against the front door in anger)
Sam: (nods) "It's time we met again."
