I DO NOT OWN THE SELECTION SERIES. SHOUTOUT TO ABIZEAU AND THE MUSES OF FANFICTION FOR CREATING THESE CHARACTERS.
Schreave Palace. Sacramento, province of Angeles. Kingdom of Illèa. 1 month into the selection.
After the showdown with her mother, Crown Princess Sybil decided to begin the group dates. The first group date would go towards Eulalia Marquez. The waitress from Midston wanted her group date to be cooking a dish called arepas. So, she and Sybil hijacked the royal kitchen for the afternoon. To be honest, the heiress to the Illèan throne was thankful for this date; since it meant that she would have to get all dolled up as her mother would want her to do.
"So, what are these arepas?" Sybil asked as she started to pull out the cooking utensils that the couple would need.
"Well, the arepa is a flat, round, unleavened patty of soaked, ground kernels of maize, maize meal or maize flour." The waitress from Midston explained as she began assembling the Ingredients that one of the servants had gone out and bought at her request. "It can be grilled, baked, fried, boiled, or steamed. The characteristics kind of vary by color, or flavor, or size. Simple arepas though, are filled with butter or cheese and baked."
"It sounds absolutely delicious." Sybil said with a smile as they began to cook the delicacy. As they prepared the arepas, Dia and Sybil got to talking about how her friendship with Caleb Newton had been developing. As Eulalia talked about how enjoyable she found Caleb's company to be, Sybil was thankful that someone had found companionship without a shit ton of complications.
Later that week.
Coincidentally enough, the next solo date went to Caleb Newton. For his alone time with the princess of Illèa, the florist from Sonage elected to have a simple stroll throughout the extensive palace garden. Sybil was pleased once again that the solo date was a simple one without fuss and frills.
"I'm glad that you suggested that we come out here Caleb." She said as the couple walked arm and arm though the botanical triumph.
"Flowers are like friends: they bring color to your world." He explained as she could tell that Caleb was in his true element.
"To be honest, I've really had time to stop and smell the flowers, take in the beauty; you know?" Sybil commented as she walked with Caleb. "I've always been so busy with princess shit or working out or dealing with my mom's Bullshit. It's nice to have a moment to appreciate all this natural beauty."
"It's like my dad always says: a day without flowers is a day wasted." Caleb remarked with a grin.
"I also hear that you and Eulalia Marquez have become good friends, I'm happy for you both." She remarked as Caleb could not hide the blush on his cheeks.
"I'm glad that you approve, your highness." He replied with an awkward chuckle as the look on his face told Sybil that he had been worried that she would pull out the treason card on him right then and there. "She's an amazing girl and it's like, we just click, I dunno why. She's selfless and kind and beautiful. I don't think I've ever really met a girl like her.
Far from being jealous, Sybil was thankful that a budding romance seemed to be in the works for they both deserved it. She only hoped that they could keep it under wraps from the bitch queen.
