"I can't believe how much has changed since back when we traveled together," said Xena as she watched out the window of the car.

"Neither can I," said Gabrielle.

"And I've lived through all of the big events including both world wars," she said.

"Humans have managed to come so far yet how much have they lost at the same time?" asked Xena with a saddened expression.

"What do you mean?" asked Z.

"The world used to have so much beauty to it and now humans destroy it for nothing, forests have been taken and animals killed for nothing more than the fun of it all," said Xena.

"There's nothing we can do," said Gabrielle.

"It's an era in which the myths of old are dead and there is no place for the Gods to interfere with things," she said.

"Yeah, I guess it is," said Xena.

"We're here," said Z while pulling up in front of a house.

"Ah!" came a scream from inside at the same time the three women were getting out of the car. They then rushed into the house which was overrun with snakes.

"Mom, dad!" said Xena.

"Lina, stay outside dear!" came a woman's voice from the living room.

"It's alright, we're here to help," said Xena before taking a gun and shooting some snakes. Z did the same while Gabrielle used her chakrams to cut the heads off of several, making a path to the living room where Xena's parents were stuck standing on a table.

"Let's get out of here," said Gabrielle after they had cleared the living room.

"Where did you get a gun?!" asked Xena's dad.

"And what is with all of these snakes?" asked her mom before noticing the bodies turning to dust.

"It's all a long story, we'll fill you in later once we're out of here and safe," said Xena as they made their way out of the house and back to the car where they squeezed inside before driving away.
