Sitting behind the wheel, Garaki started the car. "I'm afraid I haven't driven in a very long time, this might be a bit bumpy."

"It's fine." All For One gritted out. He dug through the first aid box, blindly feeling for bandages. He felt the doctor's hands on his.

"This is a larger bandage," he pressed it into his palm, "use it first to stop the bleeding." A buzzing filled the small car, startling him. Laughing self-consciously, Garaki patted his pocket, pulling out his phone and answering it. "Yes?"

Pacing his office, Kioku stopped once he heard his voice. "Thank God, your phone is finally working, I've been calling with no answer."

"Minister," he paused, looking around anxiously. They were alone, no one was watching. "The electrical took out the building's internet, there's no signal down in the lab otherwise."

"Is everything okay? I was worried about the outage, did it affect anything?"

Garaki stared out at the rain that was soaking the parking lot. The heat of their bodies was starting to fog up the windshield. "Everything is fine down here." He tapped on the dashboard loudly. "The readings on the display look good." He held his breath wondering if he would figure out the lie.

"And the other heroes?"

"Successful, captured and taken. They are part of your hero army now Defense Minister."

"That's good news." Kioku finally relaxed, he'd been worried about nothing. Walking to the wall, he slid back a wood panel revealing a keypad. "I'm coming down to see you. I want everyone there, including the new recruits." He smiled at the thought of more heroes working for him. Like a network of spies, he'd really control everything now. First though, he needed to erase everyone's memories, no one could know he was involved. "Akio will especially like them."

"Of course, I imagine so. Come and meet us downstairs."

"Excellent, I'll see you soon." Waiting as the hidden door in the wall released, Kioku started down the stairs as the lights flickered on above. Humming softly, he began to descend to the basement below.

Hanging up, Garaki stared at his phone. "It's a bit of a mess down there," he chuckled imagining the Minister's face when he saw the lab. At least he had a few heroes as a consolation prize. He wondered if they might ever cross paths again. "He could be useful," he mused quietly. His phone vibrated in his hand. Gasping, he jumped. Akio, flashed on the screen. He looked at the clock, they had to leave soon. "Yes?"

"How is everything going?" Akio stared out at the scenery as the train raced south.

"We've run into trouble but everything is fine now."

"Trouble?" Snapping his full attention back to the conversation, Akio sat up in the seat. He glanced at the locked door of his private car. "What kind of trouble?" His stomach clenched.

"An electrical issue that has caused an outage, but everything is back online now."

"That's all?"

"All?" Garaki humphed, "do you know what could happen if we lost the power to keep this energy harnessed?" Of course, he knew now.

"Mmmm, have you talked to Sensei?"

"You mean the Minister?" A loud grunt sounded over the phone.

"You know."

"He needed me when more heroes were coming to the lab, so, yes, he contacted me directly."

"More heroes?" Akio sighed to himself, it was really happening.

"Yes, we've added Shouto and another person to our group. The Minister is on his way down now to meet them."

Akio stared out the window, the sky was heavy with clouds, it would be raining soon. A steady rhythm drummed over the phone. Cocking his head, he furrowed his brows. "You're in the lab?"

"We are," Garaki was tired of the conversation. They had no more use for this man. But, if he talked to the Minister, he needed him to believe his lie as well. "When do you get back?"

"Soon enough. I'm sure the Minister will contact me with any new details."

"Yes, I'm sure he will."

Ending the call Akio sat back and turned his phone over slowly in his hands. Something was bothering him. He'd learned to trust his instincts and right now they were going off. Should he call Sensei? Crap, now they had more shitty heroes in their control. Akio liked it better when they were working silently, digging deeper into the private and political world, solidifying power. Shoving his phone into his pocket he'd wait and see if Sensei called him, there was nothing he could do sitting on a train.

Running up the stairs, Katsuki saw Shouto step into the doorway at the top. "Sho!" He leapt up the remaining stairs and pulled him into a hug. "Are you okay?" His body went rigid in his arms. Behind him Katsuki spied Tenya and Denki watching them closely. "Shit," he muttered. Pulling back quickly he dropped his arms by his side, twice in one fucking day. "You're all here? That's good." He glanced at Shouto, his face was a stony mask. Damn, he was clearly angry at him. Ducking his head down he mouthed 'sorry' before looking back at the others. "I found Izuku," he grinned, "can you believe he's fucking alive? But All For One got away. We need to split up and find him." Staring at him blankly, Shouto planted one hand stiffly on his chest. Katsuki looked at him quizzically. "What's up?" A look of pain crossed his face briefly and then vanished as purple discolored the whites of his eyes. Suddenly a wave of ice flowed out of his body hitting Katsuki, the force of the blow propelled him up into the air and backwards down the stairs. Instinctively he fired off his bracelets, the blast giving him just enough kick to push out of the stream of ice and land hard on the floor below, broken glass dug into his side.

"Is he still alive?" Denki peered down the staircase, a blanket of white covering everything.

STILL ALIVE!? Rolling out of sight, Katsuki listened to them on the top of the stairs, what the fuck was going on?

"He shot off his quirk, I saw him fall to the side." Shouto started down the stairs. "I'll kill him first then go for Izuku, cover me in case he attacks."

Getting to his feet, Katsuki lunged through the door of the control room. Ice hit him from behind, hurling him into the broken display board. Clutching tightly to the edge, he ducked underneath, turning his head from the razor-sharp chunks slicing his skin. Crawling along the wall, he rolled into the back chamber, more glass sliced into his back. Scrambling to the opening, he waited for them to emerge from the stairs. Behind him, the nerd's raspy wheeze sounded as he tried to breathe.

"Did you get him?" Izuku sucked in a painful breath.

"No, and right now we have problems."

"Problems?" He stood, leaning heavily on the wall, and limped awkwardly towards Kacchan.

"Stay down!" Katsuki hissed. "Shouto, Tenya and Denki are trying to kill us for some fucking reason." Glass crunched under someone's feet as they walked into the room. Poking his head out, Katsuki saw Shouto lift his hands aiming directly for Izuku. "DEKU!" He flung himself at the nerd as ice and snow unfurled. He slammed into him, twisting at the same time to fire his bracelets. As fire hit ice, an explosion of steam erupted. Wrapping his body around Izuku, Katsuki landed on his shoulder, pain reverberated into his neck and arms. "We have to get out of here!" He screamed as another icy blast was directed towards them. Pushing Deku's body behind his, he lifted both hands using a full blast of fire to evaporate the frozen crystals.

Even encased in Kacchan's arms, Deku felt the cold concrete floor smash into his already broken ribs, he gasped loudly, unable to breathe for a moment. Strong arms shoved him back as fire and ice met again, there was another loud eruption as steam filled the air. Sliding up to his knees, Izuku squinted through the fog-filled room. He could see Todoroki standing slightly behind a huge gap in the wall. From behind him a white blur suddenly flew through the opening straight at them.

"Watch out!" Katsuki recoiled backwards hearing the roar of engines, bracing himself as Lida barreled into him. His arms wrapped around him as his jets sent them hurtling into the wall. Katsuki felt Deku bounce off of him as Lida flattened him into the concrete, his body flexed painfully. Planting his foot, he wrenched his body trying to free himself from Tenya's grip. His grip only tightened. "Fucker," Katsuki jackknifed his arms, clasping his hands behind Lida's back and crushed him into a bear hug. He heard Tenya cough as he squeezed with all of his strength. Finally, the hold loosened enough for him to free one arm. Swinging up in a quick jab, Katsuki activated his quirk as his blow landed. Lida's glasses smashed under the force of his fist as fire flared over his skin. Tenya howled, the smell of burning flesh mixed pungently into the moisture hanging in the air.

Kacchan slammed into him. Losing his balance, Izuku spun sideways and dropped to his knees. He grabbed his broken ribs, panting for breath. "STOP!" Izuku screamed, seeing Denki standing waiting for them through the foggy air, he willed the explosion of black whips to arc from his body but nothing happened. "My quirks?" A faint buzz leapt through the wet air, a swift jolt of stiffening pain seized his body. The acrid smell of electricity burned his nose as a hot blast of electricity rolled through his body.

Shoving Tenya away, Katsuki spun around, the smell of wet electricity filled the room. The nerd's body jerked helplessly and his eyes rolled back in his head as Kaminari hit him with his charge. Denki was pressed back against the wall, sneering at him. Lifting his thick bracelets, Katsuki gauged the distance. Too far away, he clenched his fists in frustration, if he had his gauntlets, he could shut him down. The air hummed again as the hair on his arms stood on end. Another bolt crashed into Deku, his body flopping helplessly on the floor. He knew if he touched him, he'd be fried himself. Dropping into a crouch, the cold metal of his gun pressed into his side. His gun. "Denki! Stop!" He shouted. "It's fucking me, you asshole!" He waited. Kaminari slinked further away into the corner. "Shit," he glanced at Izuku, he was panting, eyes barely open, he couldn't take another hit. Pulling out his gun while Denki was focused on targeting Izuku, he decided to fire a warning shot. "I don't want to hurt you Kaminari, I think your quirk has fried your fucking brain!" He heard him snicker in response, another bolt of electricity snaking across the room straight at the Nerd. Aiming for the wall behind him, Katsuki squeezed the trigger.

Gauging the distance, Denki didn't think Bakugou could hit him, not without his gauntlets. Even if he managed to rush him, he'd electrocute him before he could get close enough. He noticed Shouto standing by the doorway. He narrowed his eyes on his target, he wanted to be the one to finish off Midoriya. The one to please the doctor. Firing another blast, he saw Bakugou lift his hands, his body tensed automatically. The ear shattering explosion that echoed off the walls wasn't right. His lightning faltered as his gold eyes snapped from Izuku to Katsuki, he was holding something in his hands. Suddenly a white-hot burning ripped through his shoulder tearing at his flesh. It felt like two massive fingers were digging deep into his muscles and ripping them apart. He sucked in a ragged breath as his damaged nerves caught up to the pain. He realized he was screaming. Turning to the wall, he saw the blood and bone splattered across the concrete, his scream grew louder. The explosion sounded again, he closed his eyes bracing for more pain but nothing happened. He grabbed his shoulder and fell to the ground, curling into a ball, wailing against the mind-numbing pain.

"Fuck!" Katsuki flinched seeing the bullet punch into Denki's shoulder. From his peripheral vision he saw a white blur as Tenya flew at him again. Pausing for only a second, he turned on him and fired. Lida spun backwards, blood spurting from his neck. Crouching down, Katsuki crawled to the nerd. He'd managed to get himself to his knees but was swaying unsteadily. Pushing him into the corner, he positioned himself as a shield at the edge of the broken concrete wall. Sneaking a quick look, the room was empty, Shouto had disappeared. He'd probably taken cover outside the door. "Don't make me shoot you too, Shouto! C'mon!" He begged. There was no sound but Kaminari's screams.

Standing just at the bottom of the stairs, Shouto could hear him yelling, but he couldn't see either of them. They'd taken cover behind the concrete wall. Successive gunshots had silenced Tenya and taken down Denki. He needed to be careful, if he fired his gun, he'd have to hit back with ice and fast. Stopping a bullet wasn't easy. Stepping into the control room, he moved to the broken control board, trying to look over the partial wall. He saw Tenya laying on the ground. Standing on his toes and craning his neck, he couldn't see anyone else. They'd maneuvered against the wall. He needed to stop them here before they got away. Stepping back, he scanned the chamber. He only had one option without direct line of sight. Filling the entire room with snow and ice would suffocate them. It would most likely hurt Lida as well, but if he killed the other two, then it was worth the sacrifice.

Peeking around the low wall, Katsuki heard movement, he caught a brief glimpse of Shouto slipping into the room, going directly for the broken display along the wall. Lifting his gun he pressed his finger on the trigger, squeezing slowly. He stopped. "Dammit," estimating the distance to the door, he leaned into Izuku's ear. "Can you run?" Big green eyes stared at him for a moment, then he nodded and gave him a thumbs up. Holstering the gun, he grabbed Deku's arm and put it over his shoulder. In one quick movement, he leapt from the chamber, dragging the nerd with him. The air around them grew suddenly cold. "Shit! Run!" He knew what was coming next, after he cooled the air, Shouto released his heat creating a high-powered explosion. Lifting his hand, he ignited his own quirk trying to warm the air around them as they ran for the doorway. The heatwave went off, Katsuki threw up one arm trying to protect his face, with the other arm he launched Izuku's body through the opening to the stairs, leaping behind him as fire burned at his flesh and clothes. "Run!" He screamed at Deku, "I'm behind you!" Turning he ran up the stairs backwards, pulling out his gun, he fired a shot into the room below, concrete dust sprayed from the place where he'd hit the wall. His hands and arms seemed to be fine but his face stung along the right side where he'd taken the brunt of Shouto's blast. He didn't dare touch his spikes, the pungent smell of burnt hair reached his nose. Emerging at the top of the stairs he fired one more bullet into the open doorway. Deku was hunched over at the top, one hand on the wall. "We need to get out of here and fast."

"Where are we going?" Izuku looked both ways down the corridor.

"Fuck if I know! That's where I came down." Katsuki ran to the door he'd come through. "Shit, it's locked." He noticed the keypad on the side, a red light blinked. Looking further down the hall he could see double doors. Another keypad blinking red. "Everything is fucking locked," he looked at the ceiling lights. "I think with the electrical back on-"

"Wait, wait," Izuku interrupted him, "I know this place."

"You do?"

"Yeah," Izuku began to run the opposite direction, dragging his left leg with a hitch step. "This way, we need to go this way," he called as he half-ran, half-skipped. Shaking his arms Izuku frowned, why didn't his quirks work?

"You sure?" Katsuki yelled as he ran hot on the Nerd's heels.

"Really sure," the hallway appeared clear in his mind. "We want to go this way." It was as if he was looking through someone else's eyes. "Stairs hidden in an office," he pointed right. A large metal gray door loomed ahead. Kacchan ran past him and pulled it open for him. Izuku paused, stepping back, he stared down the hall, it didn't look right. Kacchan yanked him inside and let the door slam closed behind them. "Stop!"

"They're behind us, we gotta move."

"This is wrong!" He grabbed the doorknob, not letting him drag him further inside. "Listen to me!" He hissed at him. Kacchan blinked, pulling back at the ferocity in his voice. Izuku nodded, taking a deep breath, calming himself. "There's another staircase that's hidden, we need to go that way, to get to whoever is in my mind. He's important for some reason, I - I'm not sure why, maybe he can help us."

"How do you know?" Katsuki rubbed his shoulder where he'd fallen, the numbing tingle ran down to his fingertips.

"I - I don't know, but somehow I can see everything from that person's point of view." Izuku turned to look at him, his eyes widened as touched his burnt spikes. "Kacchan." A dark look crossed his friend's face.

"Don't tell me," he clicked his tongue. He could tell at least half his head was missing hair.

Stifling a giggle, Izuku felt tears sting his eyes. "I didn't think I'd ever see you again."

"And this may be the last time again if we go back out there." He could see Deku was still trying to process the images he was seeing in his head.

"We have to," another image flashed in his head. "I'm sure it's not these stairs, there's a room further down," he started to open the door.

"Not so fast!" Katsuki slammed his hand against the door, holding it shut. "Shouto could be out there, we may be stuck going up."

"No, we can't, it's another dead-end." Izuku glanced upwards and in his mind, he could see small apartments. "They live up there."

"They?"

"Whoever stays here, one of them is really powerful."

"More powerful than me?" Katsuki laughed as the Nerd rolled his eyes. "Okay," looking up the stairwell, Bakugou thinned his lips. "Shit, and your quirk?" He shook his head and shrugged. "Then let me go first, if anyone is out there, I'll blast them, fuck, I wish I had my gauntlets."

"Where are they?"

"That is a long story, Deku," he sighed. "Let's get the hell outta here, then I'll explain over a lot of drinks." Izuku gave him a wry smile, his eyes dropping down, he pointed at his side.

"What about that?"

Looking down Katsuki saw his gun. He paled, "another long story. I - I'm not that great of a shot." His stomach clenched. "I didn't mean to shoot Denki and, fuck, Lida." He grimaced, "I'd rather not use it again." Grabbing the handle, he motioned for him to get behind on the other side. Opening the door slowly he surveyed the hallway, it was empty. Slipping out, he waited for Deku.

Running with him, Katsuki kept an eye behind them. "Why aren't they coming after us?"

"You shot them."

"Not everyone." He was expecting to see him any minute. What the fuck was he going to do if he had to shoot him?

"Maybe they're regrouping?" Another door came into view. "There!" Izuku staggered forward faster.

"I hope they're okay," Katsuki clenched his jaw, keeping up with him. "I got Denki's shoulder but Tenya, fuck, I didn't see what happened. I'm sure Sho is helping them."

Stopping, Izuku looked back at him, "Sho?"

He gave the nerd an irritated scowl as he opened the door. "Where are we?" He pushed him into what appeared to be another office. A large desk dominated the center of the room, several metal bookcases and cabinets lined the walls. "How many offices are in this place?" Closing the door, he locked it, "I don't think this will keep anyone out for long."

"Oh," Izuku pointed to the desk, "there's a lever in the top left drawer." He paused again, "you call him Sho now?"

Ignoring him, Katsuki opened the drawer and fished around with his fingers until he found a metal bar, tugging on it there was an audible clicking sound behind one of the sets of steel shelves. "Yeah, I call him Sho, a lot has happened since we thought you were killed." he walked towards the wall where a door had popped open. "I just fucking hope we can get out of here without me having to hurt him." He slid back the steel bookcase and slipped his fingers into the gap between the wall and door and slid the panel sideways. The smell of stale air hit his nose, "in here?"

"This looks right." Izuku peered up the staircase, more images poured into his mind. Blinking he tried to process everything as his head spun and vision blurred, he stumbled forward.

"Deku!" Katsuki grabbed him as he toppled over, his thick lashes fluttering closed. Sitting down on the bottom step he hugged him, cradling his head.

"K-Kacchan?"

"Don't pass out on me, you're the only one who knows where the hell we're going."

"Sorry," Izuku couldn't shake the strange fog that was covering his thoughts. "I feel like my brain isn't working." Holding up his hand, he let out an exasperated sigh, "kind of like my quirks."

Peering at his face closely, Katsuki noticed blood was running from his nose and ears. "Damn," he dabbed at the line of blood running down his neck. "Are you okay?"

"No."

"Shit, you're scaring me."

"Don't I always?"

"Yeah, most of the fucking time. Look, you've been stuck in that thing for four months, how the hell you got put back together is a damn mystery. Your brain's probably trying to figure out how to work again."

"Did it ever work?" Izuku's chuckle turned into a groan as he clasped his side. "Kacchan, close that panel before they find us," he tried to sit up but strong hands held him down.

"I'll get it, hang on, the outer door's locked for now. With all the doors in this damn place, it'll take a while for them to find us." Worry pricked at his brain, he knew they needed to get going, but Deku was clearly in bad shape. "Tell me there's an exit at the top of these stairs."

Looking up at him, Izuku scrunched up his face, "I think."

"Fuck, you think?" He thought for a moment, "is there any other way?"

"No," he shook his head. "Look, if we close the panel, they won't be able to get through here unless they find the latch." He took a painful breath, his vision was clearing. "I'm feeling better Kacchan, we need to go."

"Okay, let's close it." Maneuvering around him, he stood and grabbed the panel, "it'd be great if you could figure out your quirks."

"I know Kacchan, it feels like before when-" A strange noise cut him off, like an intense crackling. A coldness seeped into the space. Suddenly an explosion cut through the room, metal chunks spraying through the entire area.

Spinning away from the razor-sharp debris slicing through the air, Katsuki ducked behind the door. "Shouto's here!" Grabbing the panel, he tried to slam it shut, metal shards jammed into the track stopping it from closing. "Fuck!" Kicking at the pieces he tried to force the door to move. "GO!" He screamed at Izuku. "Run, don't wait for me." Dropping on one knee he started clearing the pieces from the track of the door.

Using the stair rail Izuku pulled himself up, everything spun as blackness settled over him. Falling backwards, his body landed hard on the stairs.

The burning pain sliced his neck. Slapping his hand over the wound, Tenya felt the hot wetness of blood spurting over his fingers. Spinning away as fast as possible, he lost his balance falling sideways. A loud grunt escaped as he landed hard on the hand holding the wound. He heard running as the two raced from the room and then a fiery explosion blew fire into the entire chamber, singing his face and hair. Rolling on his back, Tenya wrestled to sit up but the pain was overwhelming, punching through the darkness in his mind. What was he doing? He could see the light again, floating in the blackness that coated his every thought. Holding his breath, he tried to concentrate on the light.

"Lida." Shouto stood over him, he could see Tenya was dazed, his hand pressed against his neck. Blood poured down his arm.

Blinking Tenya lost his concentration, the light vanished. Looking up, he stared at Todoroki, a feeling of sadness washed over him. "What?"

"How's your neck?" Seeing his glasses on the floor, Shouto picked them up. "Here's your glasses. I need you to get up so I can see your wound." Helping him to his feet, he tugged his hand off the wound. "It's not horrible," he frowned at the huge gash on the side of his neck. "It won't kill you at least," he could see the blood was already slowing. "Wrap it with something." Hearing crying from the other room, he went back to Kaminari and squatted down. He was curled in a ball, his body shaking.

"Is he okay? Where did he get shot?" Tenya tried to balance his broken glasses on his nose.

"F-Fuuuuck!" Denki opened his eyes, tears blurred his vision. "It's my damn fucking shoulder." He whimpered seeing the splattered blood and bone on the wall again. "Am I gonna die?"

"You're losing a lot of blood." Shouto tugged at his sleeve, his entire jacket and shirt were soaked red. Standing up, he nodded to Lida. "Wrap up his wound."

"What about you?"

"I'm going after them." Glancing at Denki, he raised his brows. "Do your best, but don't waste too much time. Join me as soon as possible."

"Okay," holding his glasses in place, Tenya sat down and began tearing at his pants, pulling off a few long strips. Tying the shortest one around his neck tightly, he touched the fabric, it grew damp as it soaked up the seeping blood. "Best I can do for now," he sighed. Turning to Kaminari he began creating a makeshift sling around his shoulder.

"Will that help? Am I gonna be okay?" Denki gritted his teeth as Tenya tied up his shoulder.

"If we can keep your arm still, it may slow down the blood loss." He shrugged, "it's better than nothing."

"Where is the doctor?"

"I'm not sure." Seeing Kaminari's face grow paler, he frowned. "You need to go to the infirmary, there's a medical box in there. You need something to clot the wound. I'll come back after I help Todoroki."

"Don't!" Denki grabbed his hand, "please, don't leave me alone."

Shaking him off, Tenya stood. "I have to, we have to kill them at all costs, you heard the doctor." Heading to the doorway, he glanced back at him, he wondered if he was going to die. The sadness was threatening again, he stopped. "I'll try to come back and help you okay?"

Closing his eyes, tears slipped down his cheeks. "Okay." Hearing him leave, Denki tried to summon the strength to stand. He had to get to the infirmary.

Racing back up the stairs, Shouto slowed as he stepped into the corridor. He doubted they were anywhere nearby, but he didn't want to risk them getting the jump on him. Bakugou was bigger and stronger and would have the advantage initially. Looking both ways down the hallway, he knew the doors to the infirmary were locked. The only direction they could go was further down past the control room, he really hoped he could catch them in a dead-end. He flicked his hand, his heaven piercing ice wall would finish them if they managed to trap themselves into a corner. Even if Dynamite released every bit of fire in his body, he could overcome him. A splatter of blood on one of the white tiles caught his eye, squatting down he examined the droplet. It was still wet, just drying at the edges. Looking up he smiled, they definitely went this way. There was a door ahead on the right. Approaching it quietly, he stopped and turned the handle slightly. It was unlocked. Laying his ear on the door he listened. Only silence.

Stepping back, he continued walking, scanning the floor. Another splash of blood was smeared on one white tile, then another one just a few meters ahead. He began sprinting following the occasional droplets of blood. Another large metal door came into view, slowing, he searched the area, the blood stopped. Trying the handle, it was locked, since there was no keypad, he knew someone had locked it from the inside. Laying his ear against the cool metal, he could hear a murmur of voices, it had to be them. Laying a hand on the door, he began to freeze the metal. A thin layer of ice formed over the surface as it began to creak and groan, contracting in the doorway. Positioning himself to the side to avoid getting hit by any flying shards, he sent a wave of intense heat at the frozen door. Like a keg of dynamite being ignited, the metal door exploded spraying debris across the entire area. Waiting until everything quieted, Shouto moved to the side of the now open doorway and looked inside. It appeared to be an office with a large desk in the center of the room. A movement by the bookcase caught his eye. A gap in the wall suddenly disappeared with an audible click. Racing to the wall, he ran his fingers down a thin but distinct line of a door. Listening closely, he heard muted yelling, it was them.

Trotting down the stairs, Kioku hummed happily, this was going to be a good day. Once Akio returned, they would need to coordinate their newest employees, perhaps it was even time for Yusa to become more involved. Noises echoed up from below, it sounded like people talking. Stopping short, he leaned over the railing, the overhead lights were too dim to see that far. He held his breath listening, people were talking and from the sound of it, coming up the stairs. Who was in the stairwell? Only Akio knew of these hidden stairs. Panic crawled through him, had someone found the trap door? Was it the doctor? He started to call out, when the sound of an explosion rang out, someone below started yelling. Spinning quickly, he ran stumbling up the stairs as fast as he could go, clutching at the railing he hauled himself up to the top of the stairs. Trying to catch his breath, he punched in the code on the keypad and ran into his office, slamming the door shut. Who was coming? Whatever he did, he didn't have much time, someone would be coming up to the other side soon. Did they have the code? Twisting his hands, he danced in front of the door trying to figure out what to do. "Wait," he stared at his hands and began to laugh. It didn't matter who showed up, as soon as he touched them, he would erase their memory and send them on their way. From the exterior office a printer hummed loudly. His team was still at work. He glanced worriedly at the panel door, what he didn't need were witnesses of any kind. Marching to the double doors that led to the outer office, he swung them open. "Hinata," he plastered a wide smile on his face. The man standing at the printer jumped, turning around, straightening papers he'd been plucking off the machine.

"Yes Sir?" Setting everything down, he instinctively grabbed his notebook.

"Please, have the team cancel my afternoon appointments and go home early. It's been a rough day. Let's relax and start fresh tomorrow." He beamed at the younger man.

"Sir?" He bowed briefly. "Thank you! Actually, I already had to cancel everything since the compound was shut down." He glanced up, "do you want me to have your body guards come into your office until you leave?"

"No, tell them to go to transport. I'll be leaving by helicopter today with a few guests."

"Oh, okay. I think they're in the guard room. I'll advise them to get everything ready. It may take them some time to get across campus. At least it's only raining, the clouds have lifted, so you should be able to use the landing pad on the roof."

"I'll contact them when I'm ready to leave. In the meantime, just lock the outer doors and I'll be fine. I can call the downstairs guards if needed."

"Yes sir," Hinata bowed.

"Have a good night," Kioku locked the doors and activated the code. If anyone did manage to get in through the hidden door, they would be locked inside until he could take care of them. Walking back to his desk, he opened the side drawer and pulled out his gun and put it into his pocket.

"Where are the labs?" Arisu rounded the next flight of stairs down with Uchiyama.

"One more floor and then through an office. I've never been past the hall outside, at least that I can remember." Nana laughed harshly, "which means nothing apparently." Stopping at the bottom, she swiped her badge and released the lock. Opening the door, she moved to the set of double doors down the hall and set her badge on the keypad. The light turned from red to green, she held the door for them to enter.

"What's behind this door?" Kiri walked across the room and tried the knob, it was unlocked.

"The labs?" She shrugged, "I've only been as far as the hallway. I dropped supplies at the double doors outside that door and to the left, but that's all I know."

Swinging the door open, smoke blew into the room carrying the scent of fire and ash. "Shit!" Kiri slammed the door closed.

"Bakugou is here," Ochako came up behind him.

"Or Todoroki."

"Who are they fighting?"

"Hopefully the Defense Minister," Arisu pulled out her weapon, motioning to Uchiyama. "Give me your pass."

"Why?"

"I don't want you to go any further, unless you can protect yourself?"

"No, I can't," Nana removed her badge, tossing it to Nakama.

"I'll go first," Kiri hardened his skin.

"Right behind you," Ochako pulled out her gun, glancing back at the others. Captain Aizawa did the same.

"Hang on," Momo pulled off her tie and jacket, tossing them on the desk. "Uh," she looked at everyone and then spun around, "could you all look away please?" Tugging out her shirt, she unbuttoned the bottom and tied it tight under her breasts. Reaching under her skirt, she yanked her tights off and slipped her shoes back on.

"What are you-?" Nana gasped as Momo turned back around pulling a razor-sharp curved sword from her body.

"No gun?" Ochako chuckled.

"Nope," she sliced through the air. "I was really enjoying my sword when they shut us down, it's got a nice feel." Cocking a brow at Kirishima she smiled. "Let's do this."

Opening the door, Kiri stepped out into the smoke-filled hall. Holding his breath, he looked both directions. The smoke was definitely thicker on the right side of the hallway, turning back to the others, he pointed in that direction and began working his way along the wall.

Stopping at the door, Momo glanced in the opposite direction. Grabbing the Captain's coat, she stopped him and motioned to the left.

"Good idea," he whispered, they needed to make sure they didn't get surprised from the rear. Reaching forward he tapped Nakama and pointed towards the other end of the hall. She glanced past him at the double doors and nodded. Turning back, she kept up with Kirishima and Ochako. "Let's go," Shouta mouthed as they moved quietly down the corridor. At the end of the hall, he could see a red light was blinking on a keypad to the right of large doors. Momo held out her hand and stopped him. There on the ground was a body. Moving faster, they kneeled at the man sprawled on the floor, dried blood smeared around his nose and ears.

Pressing her finger into his neck Momo shook her head. "He's dead," she sat back on her heels. Aizawa began searching the body. "What the hell are you doing?"

Pointing to the keypad by the door, Shouta dug into one of his pockets. "He has a lab coat, I figured he would have a pass." A gunshot rang out from down the hallway, the sound echoing off the walls. Leaping to their feet they took off running to the others.

"We're not leaving?" All For One listened to the rain patter on the roof of the car.

"The man I was working with gave me the guard's schedule recently. Apparently during a shift change he said they usually just wave people through without checking badges closely." Garaki peered through the windshield at the guard station. "I'd rather not be seen by anyone." He looked at Ide's badge, "I don't look anything like this picture."

A faint pinging rippled through his brain, holding up his hands All For One could see the outline of his fingers. "My infrared quirk seems to be starting to work." He moved his hands around.

"Hmmm," Garaki checked the time, ten minutes before two. "Maybe we should risk leaving now."

"Why, what happens when my quirks return?"

"Just a theory but I think your hold over the Pro Heroes may begin to wane." He tapped the steering wheel rhythmically. "We don't want anyone to know we've escaped, so fighting is out of the question, even if your quirks do come back. Hopefully we can get away quietly."

"You're right," he tried to see through the windshield, but the rain made everything a blur, "at least at this point it's very faint, and I'm not feeling any of my other powers."

"That's good, if it gets stronger let me know," Garaki continued to watch the exit gate. "Otherwise, we'll leave at the shift change as planned."

The stench of burned hair and flesh hung in the air. Putting his hand over his nose and mouth, Kiri took shallow breaths. Ahead he could see an open doorway on the left. Stopping, he waited until the others were directly behind him, then moving together, they slid up to the side of the doorway. Sneaking a look inside, Kiri could see a staircase that led down to another open doorway. Steaming smoke hung like a haze below. "Going in," he whispered. Stepping around, a body slammed into him, sending him flying into the wall across the hall. Driving his hands forward he tried to slash at the person. They dodged his blow and spun away, sweeping their foot up and around, catching Kiri's jaw and snapping his head back.

"Stop!" Ochako screamed, holding her gun for a clear shot but the assailant was moving too fast, the body was a blur. As their leg swung in the air at Kiri, she aimed for the thigh. Squeezing the trigger, she held the gun firm against the familiar recoil as the bullet exploded and buried itself into the wall, the person had jetted away too fast. Keeping her eyes trained on the blurred body, she leveled her gun again, this time following the motion, she anticipated the movement and shot again. The bullet hit. Screaming echoed in the hall as the person twisted away, sprawling out on the ground.

"Good shot," coming up behind her, Arisu kept her gun pointed at the writhing body on the ground.

Bending down, Kiri rolled the person over onto their back. He jerked his head up in surprise. "Shit! It's Tenya!" He could see a growing red stain on his pants. "He's hit!" As he bent over to apply pressure to the wound, Lida's fist shot out and connected with his cheek, knocking him sideways. Scrambling, Tenya tried to stand.

"Don't move," Arisu stepped forward, making sure he could see her gun.

"What the fuck, man?" Kiri rubbed his jaw getting back up.

"What's going on?" Shouta ran up with Momo behind him.

"Watch out," Ochako held up her arm, stopping them. "Tenya just attacked Kiri, something's wrong."

A guttural sob echoed up the stairs from below. Peeking into the stairwell Momo could see another open doorway below. "Who's down there?"

"We were just heading down when Lida attacked us."

"Tenya," Kiri held up his hands non-threateningly. "I want to help stabilize your wound." He inched forward. "Tenya?" His friend was staring at him almost unseeing, his jaw clenched tight, sweat dripping down his face. Kiri noticed the bloody rag tied around his throat. "He's injured."

"Stay back," Tenya hissed, trying to stand but putting weight on his leg sent a driving spike of pain through his nerves, he fell back on his butt. Reaching down he put pressure on his leg where the pain radiated from his wound. Blood soaked his hand.

"Tenya," Kiri squatted down, looking into his eyes, keeping his hands up in the air. "I'm not gonna hurt you, can you tell us who's downstairs?"

"Kaminari," he gritted out, collapsing back against the wall. "Bakugou shot him."

"Denki!" Momo whirled around and stepped through the doorway. "I'm going down." Holding out her sword, she crept down the stairs slowly.

"I'm staying with Yaoyorozu, just be sure to tell us before you go anywhere," Shouta darted quickly into the doorway and caught up with Momo.

"Hey Tenya, you're losing a lot of blood," Kiri could see the blood oozing from between Lida's fingers. "The bullet may have hit your artery, you gotta let me help you."

"NO!" Tenya tried to kick out with his foot, pain shot up from his wound. Gasping he leaned on his side, trembling, the blood dripped down his thigh, warm against his skin. "Yes," he whimpered, falling back on his elbows.

"Really?" Kiri started to move forward. "You're not fucking with me? Don't kick me or anything, okay?"

"I won't."

"Good." Pulling his jacket off, he quickly wrapped the sleeve above the wound and tied it off tightly. "Where's Bakugou?"

"I don't know," Tenya tried to talk but the blackness was closing in on him fast. The pinprick of light started drifting through his mind.

"Tenya?" Kiri patted his face as he sagged onto the ground. "Damn, he's out cold." Ochako dropped down to her knees on the other side.

"Kiri," she whispered hoarsely, her eyes glistening with unshed tears, "if I'd known it was him, I - I wouldn't have used my gun."

"You still would've shot him," Arisu glanced at the staircase where the other two had disappeared. "You had to protect your partner and your aim was perfect. It's a non-fatal wound."

"I should've warned him or shot in the air first though!"

"Look this isn't always easy, you have to make tough decisions sometimes in the heat of battle, but you know that already from your time as a Pro Hero."

Ochako watched as Kiri's suit began to discolor with his blood. Reaching forward she pressed on his leg. "We need to add more pressure."

Sweeping his fingers into the track, Katsuki tried to brush out the metal shards that had jammed the track. Grasping the panel, he saw Shouto walk into the room as he managed to jerk it closed. Turning, he saw the nerd sprawled on the stairs. "Dammit!

Deku!" Scrambling onto the stairs he pulled his body into his lap. "Izuku! Wake up!" Green eyes slitted open.

"Kacchan?"

"Shit, you scared me." He could see he was trying to focus on him. "C'mon stay with me, where do we go? Shouto's on the other side."

"Other side?" Izuku looked at him perplexed, "the other side of what?" Reaching out he touched his arm, "are you real?"

"I'm real and you're alive again but now we have Shouto tracking us down for some fucking reason. This place gives me the creeps." Glancing at the panel door, he thinned his lips. "I'm guessing he's gonna figure out the lever in the desk considering he saw me close the thing." He stared into his vacant green eyes. "Listen Izuku, you were having memories, I need you to remember what you were seeing. An office or something at the top of these stairs."

"An office upstairs," Izuku closed his eyes, a vision of someone running up the stairs floated through his mind. "Oh!" he sucked in a quick breath. A sudden coughing fit gripped him, wet and raspy. Izuku gagged from the wrenching agony in his body. Spitting on the stair, he drew back seeing blood.

"Shit, Izuku," Katsuki eyed the bloody splatter. "Do you think you punctured your lung?" Green curls moved as he nodded, wiping his mouth. "Maybe I should carry you?"

"Whatever you do it's gonna hurt like a bitch." Izuku tried to draw in a breath, a sharp pain lanced through his chest. "I - I can't breathe," he started to shake.

"Hold on," drawing him closer he warmed his body with his own. "You've been breathing fine up until now. I'm guessing your lung got punctured back in that room." Rubbing his back, he tried to soothe him. Keeping his eyes on the panel, he hoped Shouto wouldn't figure out the hidden door anytime soon. "Take shallow breaths, not deep ones."

"Okay," focusing on breathing in short sips of air, Izuku felt his heart starting to slow, the panic that had begun to flood his chest eased. "Better."

"Good-" The muffled sound of a gunshot sounded from somewhere behind the wall. "Shit, that's gotta be one of us."

"One of us?"

"The team, the other investigators, Momo, Kiri or Ochako."

"Investigators?"

"We ended up becoming detectives."

"Why would you do that if you're a Pro Hero?

"Oi, enough with the questions." Pushing around Izuku, he sank down in front of him. "Hop on my back, I'll carry you up the stairs." Waiting, he felt Deku's arms wrap around his neck. A crisp cold seeped through the door as the metal groaned and contracted. "Shit, he's gonna do it again." Standing Katsuki tried not to jostle the nerd too much as he adjusted his weight, every shift he could hear him moan in pain. He started awkwardly walking up the stairs backwards.

"Kacchan? What are you-"

"Shhh, if he breaks through that door, I'm going to hit him with fire and run." The explosion of heat rocked the wall, more groaning as the metal shuddered. The door stayed closed. "It didn't explode?" Katsuki let out a long sigh of relief. Turning he began up the next flight of stairs. Another sound from the room followed, a loud rushing noise, the wall trembled slightly then everything went quiet. "What the fuck was that?"

"Sounded like an avalanche," Izuku managed to pull himself to a sitting position.

"I don't think he can break through the door, so let's get going. Sorry if it hurts," he tried to hold his body tight as he began to go as fast as possible up the stairs. "This better take us to a fucking exit."

"A keypad," Izuku gasped out, with each step he could feel his broken rib scraping inside his body. He squeezed his eyes shut focusing on the image in his mind, he could see thick fingers punching in the code.

"A keypad?"

"At the top of the stairs, it opens another door." The vision was getting blurry as blackness started closing in on him again. "The fingers are so big it's hard to see the numbers, uh, 3 - 9 - 6, wait 5 maybe? 2 and 0."

"3-9-5-2-0?"

"Mmm, or the 5 is a 6," the words slurred as he tried to keep his head up, it felt heavy, like a bowling ball on his neck. Laying his cheek on Kacchan's shoulder, he sighed, "just give me a second."

"Tell me the numbers again when we get to-." Izuku slumped against his back, his head sliding off his shoulder as his grip loosened from around his neck. "Deku!" Katsuki leaned forward and twisted, catching his body and swinging him into his arms. Pulling him into his chest, he could see he was passed out again. "Shit, I guess four months in that thing screwed you up. What was that code?" He tried to remember what the nerd had been saying. "3-9-5, maybe 6, then 2 and 0." Running up the last few flights, he chanted with each step, "3-9-5, maybe 6-2-0." Rounding the last flight of stairs Katsuki saw the keypad on the side, it was blinking red. Reaching out he punched in the first set of numbers, nothing happened. Letting out an annoyed growl, he tried with the second set of numbers. This time the light flashed green and the door clicked open. Pushing it open slowly, Katsuki stepped inside a huge office, a couch on the far wall and a set of double doors to the left.

"Dynamite?"

Spinning at the sound of the voice, Kezu Kioku sat at a large desk to the right. His eyes wide with fright, his hand flew to his heart. "Minister?" Katsuki glanced around the room.

"Yes," Kioku almost laughed. "I - I'm so relieved, I heard voices coming up my private stairs and I was scared someone had broken into the compound. I'm glad to see it's you and not some intruder." Kioku drummed his fingers nervously on his desk, his gaze taking in the two of them. Bakugou looked like he'd been burned from head to toe. His clothes were scorched and half his hair had melted down to his scalp. The other man hung limply in his arms and was covered in blood. The only reasonable explanation is that they ran into the other Pro Heroes, he glanced at the door, was someone coming up behind them? "How did you find my staircase?"

Katsuki kicked the hidden door closed. "I'm not sure what the hell is going on in this place but I need to get out of here now." Crossing the office to the double doors, he tried the handle, it was locked. He pointed to the keypad on the side. "Is this the same code?"

"No, it's different." Kioku stared at the bloody man in his arms. "What happened to your friend? He doesn't look good, is everything okay?" He had to stall, the last thing he needed was the guards seeing the two of them looking like they'd just run through a battlefield. The place would be swarming with the national guard. Picking up his phone he gestured to the couch. "Sit down, I'll call for help and get medical personnel here."

"Do whatever the fuck you want, but I'm getting him downstairs."

Kioku stared at the man again. He looked familiar but was covered in so much blood he couldn't be sure. "Wait, I have my own special medical evacuation team, it'll be quicker."

The hair on his neck stood on end, Katsuki turned slowly, red eyes blazing. "Are you saying that you won't unlock this door?"

"Of course not!" He laughed nervously, holding up his hand, he began talking. "Hello, we have an emergency in my office, a man-" He placed his hand over the mouthpiece, "who is that?"

"Midoriya Izuku, mid 20's, broken rib and arm at the least, possible concussion."

"Who?" Kioku blinked and leaned forward, almost falling out of his chair.

Katsuki narrowed his eyes, "Midoriya Izuku." The Minister sat in stunned silence staring at them both. "Did you hear me?" He needed to get the hell out of this office.

"Y-yes," uncovering the mouthpiece he repeated what he'd been told, furtively peeking at the man in his arms. One For All? How was he here? If he was here, where was All For One? Has something happened to the doctor? Listening to the soft hum of the dial tone on the other end, he nodded and faked a smile. "Thank you," he quickly hung up. "They're on their way."

"So, open this fucking door," Katsuki smashed the door with his foot again, gripping the nerd tighter in his hands. His instincts were sounding off, this asshole was bullshitting for some reason.

"Yes, I said I would," Kioku backed his chair up slowly. He heard a scraping noise at the hidden door in the wall. "What is that?"

"If I had to guess, it's Shouto, the one trying to kill us." That was all he needed, to protect Deku and now this shithead, "unless you want to die with us, open this fucking door, now! You can come with us." He grunted begrudgingly.

"Kill me?!" The Minister slid his hand under his desk and pushed a button. "That's insane! Why-"

"Look you bureaucratic prick, get your ass off that damn chair before I set you on fire!"

Running his hand along the paneling, Shouto studied the material. It was definitely flammable. Suddenly a gunshot rang out from the hall. Startled he paused, he knew Katsuki and Izuku were here, which meant more people were coming. Was it the doctor? Was he coming to see if he had killed Midoriya and Katsuki? His desire to please Garaki was all-consuming, he needed to get through that door, he needed to kill them. Placing his hands on the wall where they'd disappeared, Shouto pushed out his ice. Like the other door it groaned and creaked as it began to contract rapidly under the extreme cold. Taking cover behind the desk, he released the full force of his fire. The fake paneling burned and melted, curling back to expose a thick metal door underneath. Walking up he studied the smoking metal. "Fireproof," he muttered. Whoever was behind this door was definitely cautious. There was no keypad or other obvious sign of entry for the door, yet somehow, they'd managed to get through. Scanning the room, his gaze landed on the desk that sat in the middle of the office, the top left drawer was slightly open. Pulling it open slowly, the drawer was empty. Leaning down, he could see something inside, feeling around with his hand, his fingers found a metal lever. He pulled it forward. A click sounded as the door popped open. Suddenly more voices and yelling echoed down the hall, several people were shouting. Frowning, Shouto looked between the open panel door to the hallway. It definitely did not sound like the doctor. He had to slow down whoever was following them. Going back out into the hall, he gauged the distance from himself to the control room and blasted out his ice wall. The entire passage was immediately choked off with hardened ice.

A rushing sound came from down the hallway as freezing cold air sliced at their faces. Recognizing the sound of Shouto's ice, Kiri grabbed Lida's legs. "Move!" He yelled, dragging him backwards. Tenya's eyes flew open, he jerked his leg, screaming. Ochako scrambled backwards as Nakama grabbed the back of her jacket and pulled her as she ran with Kiri. A huge wall of ice flooded the hallway stopping just short of the doorway and covering the floor where they'd just been.

"What - What the hell is that?" Arisu caught her breath staring at the giant iceberg stuck in the corridor.

"That is Shouto."

"My leg!" Tenya sobbed, closing his eyes.

"Sorry man," Kiri dropped down to his knees. "You'd be crushed under that ice if I hadn't done that to you."

Tilting his head back, Tenya saw the ice now blocking the hallway. "Why?"

"Why? Why what?"

Turning he blinked, studying the big red-haired man, "I tried to kill you."

"I know," Kiri blushed, "but I'm guessing that's not the real Tenya." He rubbed his neck, "we're still friends."

"Oh," Tenya curled up on his side holding his leg. "I guess so."

Slapping the thick ice, Arisu let out a heavy sigh. "I don't think we can go this way anymore. I say backtrack, maybe the guards can help us get to the other side of this ice?"

"Why would we do that?" Kiri smirked as he stood, unbuttoning his shirt, he tied it around his waist and hardened his skin. "That'll take forever, I'll punch through this in no time." Lining up with the icy wall, he glanced behind him, "watch out for spray and someone follow me with a light. It's going to get dark as I dig through this shit." Slamming his fists into the wall, chunks began flying as he leaned his body into the solid ice.

Moving down the stairs quickly Momo paused on one side of the doorway. She could see the room inside was destroyed. Thick panes of glass had shattered on the floor, a control panel hung broken on one side. Someone was crying inside the room. Captain Aizawa came up behind her, his gun drawn. "Denki?" Momo called into the room.

"T-Tenya?" The sniffled response was weak.

"No, it's Momo, your partner."

"Don't come in! I'll kill you." His voice sounded strained.

She heard rustling as he moved, a loud moan followed. "Are you hurt?"

"I'm serious, I'll electrocute you." Denki tried to balance on his good elbow, his brain was fuzzy, everything seemed to be moving too slow. Firing his quirk, he electrified the area around the door but the effort was too much, he dropped it. "That was a warning, don't come in here!" Where the fuck was everyone? Hot tears flooded his eyes, was he going to die here?

Jumping back from his field of electrical energy, Momo collided with Aizawa. "Sorry," she muttered.

"He's got too long of range, if he sees you, you'll be hit."

"And any type of shield I make, he can just target my body." Momo leaned back against the doorframe. "Are you hurt Denki?"

"No, I - I'm fine." He bit his lip hard to keep from moaning from the pain.

"Doesn't sound like it to me. If you're fine then come over here, fire your electricity at me."

"I will!" Denki moved slightly, his nerves erupting with pain. "Gah!" He cried out as he collapsed back on the ground.

"I'm gonna go in," Momo signaled Captain. "If he gets me, then come in behind me and scare him with your gun or erase his quirk until he drops the charge." Taking a deep breath she grimaced, "worst case I'll just pass out."

"You're fucking nuts."

"Yeah, I guess I am," running inside, Momo held out her sword as she charged forward. Scanning the room, she saw him sprawled on the ground against the wall. His head jerked sideways as she ran at him. A soft buzz wrapped around her as he lifted his hand, her skin tingled for a moment and then it dissipated. His hand fell back to the ground. "Damn you!" She raced to him and crouched by his side, his entire jacket and shirt were soaked in blood. Makeshift bandages were wrapped around his shoulder. "Is that a bullet wound?" She touched his arm gingerly.

"Yes." Denki didn't care anymore, as much as he wanted to please the doctor, he didn't want to die.

"Who shot you?"

"Bakugou."

"On purpose?" Momo sounded surprised.

"I doubt it," Captain Aizawa walked into the room, he searched the inner chamber for signs of Todoroki. "I've seen his shot record, I bet it was an accident."

"Where's Shouto?"

"I don't know, he left with Tenya," Denki could barely speak, his mind was spinning.

Standing, Momo motioned to Aizawa and walked back to the doorway. "It's bad Captain, he's lost too much blood, if we don't get him out of here now," she glanced back at him. "He'll die."

Looking up the stairs, Shouta put away his gun. "I'll take him back up but if he tries to electrocute me, I'll fucking kill him myself."

"No, I'll take care of him, he's my partner. Tell Ochako I'm going to need her quirk to get him back upstairs. We'll get the guards upstairs to call an ambulance and get him to the hospital."

"Alright, I'll let her know. Are you sure you're okay alone?"

"I'll be fine. Go after Shouto, I'm guessing he's chasing Bakugou. The question is, who is Bakugou chasing?" Momo laughed bitterly.

"As soon as we find out who's behind this, we'll let you know." He disappeared up the stairs.

Turning back to Denki, Momo sat down and pulled his head gently into her lap. Pulling thick gauze from her body, she pressed down on the wound to try to stop the bleeding. He was breathing in short gasps. His gold eyes fluttered open as she bent over him, he blinked staring at her. She brushed his hair off his pale skin, shiny with sweat. "Hey idiot, don't hurt me, okay? I'm helping."

"Okay." Denki tried to keep his eyes open. "Momo?"

"Yeah?"

"Don't let me die," he whimpered softly.

"I would never let that happen, would I? We're partners now." Momo laid her palm on his cheek, smiling as she blinked back her tears. "Even if you did try to zap my ass."
