Harry woke in his bed as a beam of sunlight splayed across his face. He woke up feeling fresh and energetic even though he had a wand in each hand most of yesterday. He had expanded the space in the flat and added a few floors on the inside and even included a basement. He had used the Elder wand to control multiple rune knives to lay down protections and ensure his charms would be semi-permanent. (They were only semi-permanent because even if it could last 1,000 years, that didn't mean it was permanent.

His holly wand constantly layered enchantments and began the construction of the wards on both the flat and the shop below.

As he opened his eyes, he noticed the room was now filled with furniture other than his bed. Dobby must have worked through the night. He would normally talk to the little elf about such a thing, but he knew that Dobby wasn't going to be having any of it today.

Convincing a house elf to leave a house undecorated was like trying to tell Molly Weasley you didn't need seconds at dinner. No matter what you said, they would ignore it, and if you pushed too hard, well… Harry wasn't going to go there.

He grabbed a fresh shirt and slipped into a pair of sweatpants and pushed open the door to the balcony that overlooked the square.

A small table was set up while a few plants enhanced the atmosphere.

The moment he sat down, a fresh cup of tea appeared along with his breakfast. He took a sip and Dobby joined him in the other seat with his own meal.

Dobby looked tired but ate with a satisfied smile.

"Make sure you take it easy today. Okay?"

"Okay Master Harry. Dobby gets the groceries then will be taking a nap. Everything decorated but your workspace. Dobby will leave that for you."

Harry rolled his eyes. The room couldn't be decorated down in the basement until he finished the wards, but the way Dobby phrased it made it sound like he was willing to listen and not do the work.

Both knew the truth, but it was good enough for Harry.

"Don't forget to make sure you have a good view from the room you pick for yourself. Gotta make sure Winky enjoys it when she comes to visit."

Dobby didn't say anything but blushed and nodded his head.

After breakfast, Dobby cleared the dishes and headed to the store.

Harry ended up spending the rest of the day finishing the wards and setting up the security system. As night fell, he finished arranging the rest of the equipment and furniture in his workspace.

The next morning, he finished placing the wards for the store and charming the heck out the place. He made a few changes to layout, but after checking with the twins, they didn't mind one bit.

He met up with Tim and they dived the remaining tasks. Tim took the bulk of the work, but that was what he was getting paid for. Especially since he received a significant pay bump as general manager.

Harry went to check the production lines, most of the products were perfect. There were just a few that needed tweaking. Overall, they were doing a good job.

Tim had already hired the staff that was going to help run the shop and was getting them accustomed to everything. Neither Tim nor Harry expected things to go perfectly since their were no senior employees but things were going well.

Harry spent the rest of the week working on a new product. It wasn't a prank, but that was the twins wheelhouse. But he had high hopes that people would have a lot of fun with what he was planning to introduce. Fred and George even had a couple of good ideas that he was able to incorporate. When the time for the grand opening came, he was happy with his latest creation. And with the Twins guidance from a business standpoint he was confident it was going to be a success.

It was Saturday morning. Tim and Harry stood by the door while 2 employees manned the registers and 3 more roamed the floors. Tim had been nervous that he brought too many people in for the opening day. With Harry included, they had 7 people working while the London branch usually only had 4, sometimes 5.

Seeing how many people were waiting outside. Tim was relieved. He had a feeling it was going to be a madhouse this weekend. Worse than the normal back to school rush at the end of august.

Harry had been surprised when the twins didn't come for the grand opening. They had full confidence in him and Tim.

He felt proud that Fred and George were sure he was going to do a good job. Now he just needed to have that same amount of confidence in himself. With a look towards Tim, he could see that the middle-aged man was feeling the same.

"Alright Tim, let's get our game faces on."

"Listen up everybody." Tim said to the employees. "Prices are clearly marked. Age limit items will automatically flag at the register. If they don't have an adult with them, you don't sell them period. If you have any questions just signal Harry or I with the pagers, you have. We will be paying attention all day. If you aren't sure about something, ask. And remember the most important rule, we sell FUN! So try to have a good time." Tim turned back to Harry. "When you're ready."

Harry took a deep breath and walked to the front doors. As he placed a hand on each door, he felt his magic coil around the enchantments and charms that were in place.

"Here we go." He mumbled to himself before throwing both doors open wide.

*Whiz* *Bang* *Roar*

Fireworks launched into the air outside as sparkling creatures took flight. Firework dragons launched out over the square, flapping their wings while unleashing roars and spraying multicolored bubbles that hung in the air and softly floated down.

Large sparklers shot into the sky and spelled out 'Weasley Wizard Wheezes' while pinwheels spun and launched glitter bombs, filling the entire square and then dissipated when they hit the ground.

The fountain in the center of the square started spraying rainbow colored water. Anyone who touched it started to sport multicolored hair for the next fifteen minutes. The water in the fountain shook before a dozen small balls of water took the shape of unicorns and ran around the edge of the fountain.

The children and even a few adults let out screams of joy while laughing at the display.

Harry walked out the door and tapped his wand to his throat so his voice would carry through the square without yelling.

"Welcome to the grand opening of Weasley Wizards Wheezes. I am Harry Potter, one of the stores owners, all weekend long we are giving a 10% discount, so come on in and let's have some fun." He said before waving a hand to follow him and turning back inside.

He had only taken a few steps inside before he was almost barreled over by a tidal wave of children rushing into the store.

Once the wave passed, the adults entered at a much more sedated pace, well most of them.

Since the children were already off looking around, he spoke to the adults.

"If you look at the wall you will find one of our patented Marauder's maps. It shows the location of everyone in the store. If you touch the star at the bottom and speak a name, it will show you where your child, husband, or wife has run off too. If you have a ward scheme at home and are the controller of it you can purchase a handheld size map and tie it into your wards so you can see who is in your house even if you are away. If you have any questions about the products in the store, please ask anyone wearing a name tag."

Some people were interested in the map and approached Harry. He made a few sales but then came the part he was dreading. It appeared that even in the States he was still a celebrity. He didn't do autographs, but Fred and George had convinced him to trademark a symbol a few years ago. A lightning bolt on top of an H and a P. Now he could imbue it with a touch of his finger.

He gave out a couple of autographs and some people asked the typical questions about the dark lords he had defeated. Fortunately, more people were interested in Harry Potter- Store owner than the Man-Who-One.

The morning was going great for Tim. The employees were handling things better than he anticipated and the sales were so good he had to run to the storeroom several times already to restock a few products.

After lunch things slowed down enough that he was able to send the employees away 1 or 2 at a time to take a break and get something to eat, but he expected it to pick back up after dinner.

Harry continued to hang out on the first floor and help anybody who needed it. He also had a fun time playing with the toys and the pranks, showing them off to the kids and parents.

Around 3 in the afternoon he saw a familiar face.

"Hey Harry, seems like everything is going well."

He turned and saw the young witch who helped him through customs.

"I don't think I ever got your name."

"Candice, Candice Jones."

"Was your little brother able to come with you?"

"Yeah, he is around here somewhere, but I can't seem to find him."

Harry showed her the map and how it worked. She said her brother's name. "Tyler Jones." And the map zoomed in and highlighted a pair of footprints.

"I didn't know there was a basement open to the public." She said while looking at the floor listed in the corner.

Harry grinned. "Come on, I will show you the way."

He led her to a blank section of the wall that was between the hair color potions and the daydream marbles. "Here is the entrance." He said with a smirk.

Candice eyed the wall and reached out and touched it. It was solid and not an illusion. She took out her wand and cast a revealing charm. The large ornate/decorative candlestick on the wall started glow bright red.

Candice chided herself for not seeing the obvious trigger. It was a completely blank wall with a candle stick to the side. She reached for it and pulled.

*Click*

The door swung open to reveal a set of stairs.

She could hear the children murmur around her.

"Wooh, no way."

"Is that a secret passage?"

"Come check this out."

When she released the candle, a card appeared in her hand. It had 1/5 written on it. She looked to Harry for an explanation.

Harry spoke loud enough for the kids to hear. "You activated one of our secret passages. If you can find all 5 then that card will turn into a 5 Galleon off coupon."

He then led the way while Candice followed. She could still hear the children when they came after her.

"No fair, why didn't I get a card?"

"Didn't you hear him? You have to activate it."

"Then shut the door so I can open it."

They reached the bottom of the steps and found several children and a couple of adults all around a table.

"Tyler, I told you stay where I could see you." Candice said when she found her brother.

"Sorry Candy but 'secret passage'. You can't just expect me not to explore when I find a secret passage."

A couple of the adults laughed while Candice sighed.

"What do you have there?"

"Watch me Candy, I am up next."

When Candice was about to ask again, a synthetic voice sounded from the table. "Winner."

The kid in front of him moved to the side and Tyler took his place.

Candice could see two wizard action figures, one on either side of the table and a deck of cards next to the two kids. She looked to Harry for an explanation.

"This is something I invented this week, so we are still testing it out. If everything goes well, we will be selling them soon. The wizard figure cost 8 galleons and comes with the basic cards. But the booster packs are 10 sickles each."

"Before the game starts you can attach 10 equipment and spells to your figure. Right now I have 30 different spells and 15 pieces of equipment/abilities. Once your figure is loaded up, they battle. The cards in the deck are performance cards. You start with five in your hand, and another is drawn automatically every 5 seconds. The performance cards can increase your cast time or agility or health and also has some jinxes that can affect you opponent."

"Match Begin."

"All spells have a cooldown. The less powerful and easy to block are short while the heavy hitters have long cooldowns."

Candice watched her brother go on the offensive.

"Stunner."

"Stunner."

He then threw down a card that would let him cast at double speed. Then another that would increase his dodging.

"Stunner."

"Ropes."

"Stunner."

"Shield."

"Wouldn't it be better for them to use the actually spell names?" Candice asked. "You could call it an educational toy."

Harry shook his head. "It might be fine for these spells, but there are some more powerful that I don't think kids should know the names of until they are taught in school."

"Lighting!" Tyler's opponent yelled.

A streak off lightning barely missed Tylers figure. Candice nodded sagely.

"On top of that we have children who are getting both excited and frustrated, really worked up. If they start shouting spell names, it has a chance to be a disaster with accidental magic. Sure, it's pretty unlikely to happen, but I don't want to take a chance."

"Transform!" Tyler yelled as his figure turned into a tiger and charged the opponent.

Candice looked at him again. "Right now, the tiger is the only Animagus option, but I have plans to add a few more, of course you could only use one per battle."

"That's pretty cool."

The battle continued for another minute until Tyler eventually stunned his opponent. His own figure was down on one knee, his wand arm hanging limp. In truth he got a lucky shot while casting with his non-wand arm.

"Dang."

"Good match, it was close."

"If only I used the dragon hide coat that took up 2 slots instead of just the vest."

"Come on Mathew let's go look up stairs."

Tyler ran back to his sister. "That was fun, we have to get one when it comes out."

"Seems pretty interesting." She said to Harry.

"If it works well and has no issue with the operation I was thinking of making something for Quidditch. You buy seven small figures and a pack of cards. Cards are random players and brooms. Then you can try to build your own dream team and outfit them to go against others. But chances are you won't do anything during the game, just watch. Maybe I can have the games go a bit faster and tinker around to make sure they don't go longer than 10 minutes."

"Now that's something I would buy in a heartbeat."

Tyler laughed. "Candy is a sucker for quidditch. Mom swears the only reason you moved out was because you found a place with a view of the Niffler's stadium."

"Well, maybe. But come on, we have to get back for dinner soon, and you haven't picked anything to get with your allowance yet."

Tyler gasped and then started to drag his sister towards a different staircase opposite the one they came from.

Harry chuckled and followed after them. It hadn't been a full day yet, but he was really enjoying being around the store.

He walked up the stairs and out an illusionary wall. Nobody paid him a bit of attention due to the mild notice-me-not ward set around it.

Harry traded out with one of the cashiers so she could take a break and he could sit behind the counter and get off his feet.

After the smashing success of the opening weekend things began to slow down and the flow of customers was comparable to what it was in Diagon Alley.

Harry got into a rhythm where he would work in his lab in the mornings and then man a register in the afternoon.

Tim Had an excellent handle on the shop. They ran into a few issues but nothing that caused them serious problems.

One evening, a week and a half after they opened, Harry was lounging in his bed while reading his mother's journal. He had worked through her Hogwarts years and just got past her graduation. The war was in full flow, and it was getting a bit depressing but it was exciting to be learning so much about his parents. He had honestly never felt closer to them. They were going through problems he had gone through and facing similar difficulties.

Their childhoods were nothing like his, but every time he found anything that was slightly similar, it was like picking up a gem. He treasured it.

Harry was stroking Gander's head. He was sprawled out on the bed with his feathered wings tucked to its snake like body while his head rested in Harry's lap.

Feeling his Mirror vibrate, Harry put down the journal and picked it up.

"Harry, Harry!" Fred shouted excitedly before George took the mirror.

"You did it Harrykins. You finally did it." George said equally excited.

Harry had no clue what was going on. "What did I do?"

"Snape released the list of banned items for this year at Hogwarts. You finally got an item on the list for the first time."

"We always knew you were a good partner, but there was always that something that was missing."

"That's right. Now you can finally join the club. You have an item that will earn a kid detention."

"Were so proud."

"I always knew this day would come."

"Our little harry has finally spread his wings and is ready to leave the nest."

Harry chuckled. But was still unsure. He had a lot of defensive items and utility gadgets but nothing really worth of detention. His fighting figures still weren't up for sale yet. And he was running into issues on the quidditch figures and hadn't even let anyone see them.

"Well don't leave me guessing, what is it?"

"The communication mirrors of course."

The gears started turning in his head. That didn't seem right. Kids should be allowed to contact their parents.

"Its not what your thinking, they are only banned during class."

"Ahh, that makes sense. But guys, this seems like a problem. That's only a partially ban. I guess I need to step up my game."

"Don't worry little Harrykins. You earned yourself a starter ban. We know if you put your mind to it, you will get a full ban soon enough."

Harry joked with the twins for a few more minutes before they began to discuss the business. All three of them were pleased with how things were progressing. The twins were planning on stopping by at the end of the month to take look. They said it was for an inspection and reasoned that since they were the store's namesake they had to make an appearance.

Harry guessed the real reason was that they wanted to try and find all 5 secret passages and then add some to their own store.

After the call, Harry picked up the diary and ready a few more pages. He was about to turn in for the night until he froze completely.

Gander raised his head, noticing Harry's discomfort and bumped him on the nose. Harry shook himself and then read the last page again.

"What the HELL!"
