A man argued with a meter maid over a parking ticket.
"Here, you can take this ticket!" The meter maid called.
"You can have this ticket and keep it! I'm not paying that ticket!" The man called.
He threw the ticket to the ground, pointed at the meter maid, then turned to his car. The meter maid laughed at him. A young man crashed into a young woman on crutches. He turned to her briefly and apologized, but kept his stride and ran on without stopping.
"Jesus! Why don't you watch where you're going!" The woman exclaimed.
A pair of women passed by Sue & Tommy carrying snow skis. One of the women admitted to the other that someone was only interested in her buns. Sue & Tommy approached her apartment building at 325 East 77th Street.
A man, by the name of Ethan, the superintendent, gave some orders to a repairman. Frank was clearly agitated with the repairman's progress or lack of. Frank went step by step.
"Then I want you to go downstairs to the cellar and check the water lines to the boiler. I wanna do that today, all right! Could you do that?" Ethan asked in concern.
The repairman nodded and went inside after bumping into a dog being walked.
"Would you mind giving me a hand?" Sue asked in concern.
"I ain't the doorman, Sue, I'm the building's superintendent." Ethan replied.
Sue handed him her two full D'Agostino grocery paper bags to carry.
"You're also a human being." Sue replied.
"It's not my job, but what the hell, I'll do you a favor." Ethan replied.
"Listen, when are you gonna get around to fixing the radiator in her baby's room? You know, I asked you last week." Tommy replied.
"Didn't I do that?" Ethan asked in concern.
The baby carriage began to roll away from them.
"Well, it's getting really cold in there. I…" Sue replied, as she turned to her daughter.
Then Sue noticed the carriage was on the move and stuttered.
"Okay, well, it's no problem." Ethan replied.
Tommy looked at Sue, he turned to Rachel. The carriage continued to roll away. Sue & Tommy went to it. It rolled away even faster. The infant cooed.
"HEY!" Sue yelled.
Sue & Tommy ran after it and yelled out for someone.
"HEY, STOP THE CARRIAGE!" Tommy yelled.
Moving men at 335 East 77th Street carried a rolled up carpet from the back of their Ford truck. They dropped the carpet and turned their attention to the carriage.
"Get it!" The man called.
"STOP!" The man 2 yelled.
*HORN HONKS*
The carriage suddenly swerved on its own accord to the right onto the street.
"THAT'S MY BABY!" Tommy called out, pointing out at Rachel.
"WATCH OUT!" Sue yelled.
"THAT'S MY DAUGHTER!" Tommy continued yelling.
The carriage rolled head on towards a car coming in the opposite direction. The freaked out driver honked his horn.
"JESUS!" The man driver yelled.
The carriage turned right at the last second.
"RACHEL, WATCH OUT!" Sue continued screaming and her facepalm.
"RACHEL!" Tommy continued yelling.
"MY GOD!" Sue continued screaming.
"PLEASE!" Sue yelled.
The carriage turned left around a taxi cab that braked and dodged a bicyclist who fell over. Sue & Tommy lunged for it but missed. It continued back onto the sidewalk and passed by a dog walker and several barking dogs. Sue & Tommy got back up and kept running.
"STOP THAT CARRIAGE!" Sue continued yelling.
"THAT'S MY BABY!" Tommy contented yelling.
The carriage went off the sidewalk right into the intersection of East 77th Street and First Avenue. It passed four lanes and honking cars.
*HORNS HONKING*
"RACHEL!" Tommy yelled.
"NO!" Sue yelled.
The carriage stopped suddenly, just before it was about to get hit by a bus driving by in the fifth lane. The horn honked as it drove past the carriage. Sue & Tommy ran into the street and picked up Rachel, holding her close to them.
