Princess of Cipriere
Chapter 1
No Honor, No Justice, The Lost Of Hope
Nariana quietly sneaks around the bridge, narrowing her crystal blue eyes on the mist covering the area to try and see where she is going, all the while with a chill slowly seeping into her body from the chakra coating the mist surrounding herself as well as her teammates. Finally entered a sort of ''Calm Zone'' where the mist had less up somewhat, a shaky but relieved breath slowly escapes her lungs as the heavy pressing chakra lacing the mist lessen a bit as well, allowing her to spot Sakura standing at the mouth of the bridge, standing before old man Tazuna with a kunai in hand, shaking knees and tears filling her jade green eyes.
Tazuna's old weather gray eyes drift around the area as he begins to see the bodies of his workers laying on the bridge before himself as well as the crying girl, but lets out a sigh of relief not seeing any blood or injuries. 'Thank Kami, they are still alive.' He thought. Then he notices golden and crimson locks peeking out from one of the openings on the right of the bridge before Nariana's gaze meets Tazuna's own gaze. He was going to say something, but Nariana shook her head with pleading crystal blue eyes, stopping him from opening his mouth and giving her location away. He quickly stops himself to her relief, and winks at him to reassure him it will be alright now that she is here.
With one last wayward glance towards Tazuna, and a still scared Sakura who didn't notice her at all, Nariana moved back into the mist. 'I just hope I'll be strong enough.' She mentally tells herself sense she knew she will be going up against a truly trained Shinobi maybe two, and even tho she taught herself several different fighting styles as well as jutsus better then what her sensei taught her… which was almost nothing aside from teamwork, making him pretty much worthless to the ''Fragile as Glass'' team, she has some serious doubts about her success, but that won't stop her from trying.
Meanwhile deep within her mind, crimson eyes slowly open, listening to her warring inner thoughts. 'You will never reach your full potential like this. Those monkeys will never allow you, their fear will keep that tight hold on your leash child.'With that thought, the crimson eyes close once more.
Back with Nariana, she slowly moves further down the bridge, looking for someplace to crawl over the side of the bridge, but freezes at the sight of a dome made of crystalline ice mirrors. Narrowing her eyes, she spots something human looking within the dome, 2 human looking figures with one that looks to be floating just in front of the first. Suddenly, cries and screams are heard coming from within, screams of rage and pain that could only come from her sole male teammate and biggest teme on the planet, to her anyways.
"Enough with your cheap tricks, come fight me for real!" Sasuke hisses out as his eyes flicker on and off from his natural ash black to crimson and back. Unknown to him, his sharingan is slowly trying to flicker to life, but is struggling to fully wake up.
The masked person in the mirror stopped her onslaught and stood right before the Uchiha. "Why would I want to do that? This is an assassination for me, not a fair duel to the death." A soft femine voice questions him, though she didn't really want to kill him, the mission must come before anything else, her own feeling included, for it is the way of the shinobi.
Gritting his teeth, Sasuke took out several kunais and threw them at the mirror in front of him, but they just bounced off the ice mirror without making a scratch. "Bastard." He growls out while moving his eyes around, trying to find a way out of his makeshift prison for a strategic retreat.
Yeah right, more like to run away from a losing battle like a coward, that's how anyone else would see it.
He freezes for just a second when he spots Nariana creeping towards the dome. A dark, sickening smirk slowly grows across his lips as he catches out of the corner of his eyes another shower of ice sendons raining down upon him once more. With a quick hand sign, an unknowing Nariana is standing now in the center of the doom in Sasuke's place, not knowing what had just happened.
"You have finally made yourself useful to me, dobe." Sasuke calls from the otherside of the ice mirror dome with a dark chuckle escaping his lips.
Screams of agony fill the silent mist, causing Kakashi to freeze as he hears the female scream coming from all around him. His mixed matched eyes gaze across his surroundings, trying to find its source. With a quick glance he sees Sakura still trembling, "protecting" their client, then his eyes land on a sadictily grinning Sasuke as he keeps his gaze on the ice mirror doom that he once had been entrapped in, and finally, his eyes widened with horror at the realization that this scream could have only come from one person...
"It appears my tool has taken care of one of your little children playing shinobi, and that your little fake Uchiha has just lived up to that clan's legendary name." Zabuza tells him with a snort.
Kakashi's eyes snapped back towards the man. "What are you talking about?" He demands as his stomach twisted, wanting to empty everything he had eaten in the last 24 hours. 'Oh Kami..I think I've screwed up, bad.' Kakashi mentallly cries to himself.
"You are from the same village as those traitors are you not? You must have heard about their Traitorous history with one of its founders Madara, or the second most popular traitor to this day, Itachi?" Zabuza questions him with a chuckle and shakes his head at the foolish man standing before him. "There are many others in that clan who are known as teammate killers. If they see whoever they are teamed up with as weaker than themselves, then they will murder them, or have the enemy kill them and claim they had been killed in action." He tells him with a sneer under his bandage face.
Kakashi's eyes widened with horror at learning this little piece of information, many had questions if they could trust that clan of course, but never in his wildest dreams could he believe that they could go so far.
Back at the mirror dome, Haku freezes within her mirror as her eyes gaze down in horror. The innocent girl who is loved by the sun and moon, Lays before her littered with her weapons of choice, those having been tipped with poison meant for the Uchiha brat, but now courses through the poor girl's veins and threatens to kill her in any second.
A frozen tear falls from the masked girl's right cheek as she watches the blood pool under the girl's body.
Hairline cracks slowly begin to appear on the mirrors, Haku's broken heart being reflected in her, her kekkai genkai.
Meanwhile, Sasuke sneers at the sight of the dope laying on the ground, bleeding out before him. "Finally, I will no longer have to deal with trash like you." He spits out as he raises his head higher with laughter.
Hearing his laughter, Haku slowly turns her head to where the Uchiha bastard stands. Her Kiri ANBU mask slowly begins to crack with the ice, slowly breaking into two. Her cinnamon brown eyes have lost the last of the hope and innocents she still had left that Zabuza couldn't train out of her. Now a true Shinobi with no more worries or regrets for killing, she drops the several tiny glass tubes that held the poison course through the blond kunoichi onto the bridge, the glass shatters upon impact with the ground and its contains began to rise in the air while slowly freezing into poisonous ice senbons.
Unknown to everyone, a woman with caramel skin with long black curly hair pulled back into a ponytail with aquamarine eyes, appeared under the bridge in a swirl of water, standing on the water's surface with several massive snakes coiling around her body as they slowly swam around her.
The obviously inhuman female has been happily taking care of her precious snakes at the border between Wave and Marsh, when she hears a heart wrenching scream of pain coming from somewhere in the waves. Startled and worried, She closed her eyes to try and find out the source of the blood curdling scream, and teleported there when she found it.
As soon as she appeared, Haku's ice tear fell upon her face along with a single drop of Nariana's blood, both liquid telling her a short but painful story of the two's pain. 'But who or what is the cause of those 2 poor girls' pain?' She thought with a tear of her own shedding for them.
Her snakes, sensing the wishes of their mistress, uncoiled from her body and quickly swam towards the supports of the bridge, slithering around it and moving up towards the bridge to see what had happened and what had their Mistress on edge.
Soft, glowing yellowish eyes watch from the side of the bridge, reflecting their mistress's own as she watched it all from their eyes, and witnessed the sight of a boy with short black hair and laughing like a lunatic with a look of triomphe as he watched a girl trapped within a dome of ice, her body severally injured and spasming from the poison flowing through her body as blood came spouting out of her mouth and eyes. Then they notice another girl crying for the girl while floating above her inside some strange mirror.
Mami Wata's immortal heart freezes for a moment at feeling a dark aura that's not the laughing boy's own, located deep within the pure suffering soul, writhing upon the ground. A familiar aura that compelled the Loa to seep inside the child's body to investigate.
Deep within Nariana.
Dripping water could be heard from a distance, which woke Nariana from her slumber. Slowly, her eyes fluttered open as a painful gasp escaped her lips, and after a moment to regain her bearings, she moved with a bit of difficulty, pushed herself up and looked around. "Where the hell am I?" She questions out loud, trying to figure out what the hell is going on around her.
Dark chuckling with a rumble suddenly fell the air, shaking the walls and water around her. Slight fear spikes through her body as she slowly pushes herself up to her feet ''Hello! Is there someone here?'' She yelled out, but got no response. She tried again, but again no one answered, just heard the chuckling again.
''Well, whoever it is and whatever is going on. I guess I'll only get my answer by following the chuckles. Let's hope whoever is on the other side won't try and kill me." She tells no one but herself before beginning to walk forward.
A few minutes later, at the end of the dark tunnels, the blonde reached what looked to be a room full of water and broken walls, with a giant set of prison bars in front of her, where a pair of crimson eyes appeared to look upon her. Scared at first, she meant to turn around and run away, but then a mouth full of sharp teeth appeared under the eyes and a voice echoed, ''Wait little princess, don't go yet.'' it said with the faintest trace of begging.
At the words, Nariana stopped and forced herself to turn back around and face the monster, trembling at the sight before her.. "Who…who are you?" She questions it with a slight tremble in her voice.
"I am The Kyubi, The great demon fox that attacked your village 13 years ago, and was forcefully sealed within you... by your own father." Kyubi told her with a smug smirk.
''Kyubi…" Nariana said with fear, lacing her voice, said voice sounding foreign even to her own ears as she slowly took a step back. "My…My…Fa…." but before she could even finish her sentence, a woman appeared, coming out of the water like Haku had come out of her ice mirrors, standing between the girl and the fox.
"Hello my child." Mami Wata greeted the girl with a sad heart breaking smile on her face.
"Who….who are you?" Nariana stutters out with tears brimming at the corners of her eyes.
"I am…." Mami Wata began, but couldn't finish her sentence, so saddened by the child's tears.
"Mami Wata! What are you doing out of The Land of Marsh?" Kyuubi demands/questions the Goddess standing before him.
Her teal eyes then harden and move towards the monstrous fox being held prisoner within the girl, causing it to flinch back at the icy gaze of the goddess. "I felt the heart breaking screams of a pure soul. Of a child who's been betrayed one too many times and has suffered the final stroke. And you Nine Tails, has done nothing to protect her or sooth her pain." She accuses him, Her snakes swimming around her in the pool of water she stands in, and then raising their heads to the fox to hiss angrily at him.
Kyubi turns his gaze away with an annoyed huff. "The girl's suffering was not my problem." He said with a mixture of spite and indifference lacing his voice, causing the Loa's gaze to harden even more.
"Explain to me why not? She is your host, what happens to her will inadvertently affect you, especially if she dies.'' Mami Wata demands of him, angrily confused at the fox's indifference to at the very least, his own survival.
Crimson eyes turn to meet with teal eyes. "Because I am tired of it all, Mami. Almost sense the day we were born, we Tailed beasts were sealed away, forced to become weapons of war for their respective shinobi villages. We try to break away and return to the land of the spirits, only to be captured and forcefully sealed away again. At least in death, I won't have to suffer this humiliation anymore." Kurama growls, now with tears of frustration in his eyes.
This has softened Mami Wata's harsh gaze a bit, knowing all too well the humiliation and pain the 9 tailed beasts had to endure for the last 500 years. "While I do sympathize with your plight, great fox." She began saying. "Letting your current host, especially an innocent child that never even knew of your suffering, suffer herself through the people's cruelty is no excuse, you should have reached out to her." She chastised the demon, her gaze hardening once more.
But again the demon just huffed and turned away. "Even if I had wanted to do that, the Ryu Heaven's Curse Seal on her stomach completely separates consciousness from one another. I couldn't contact her, not even to voice my grievances over the decor of her mindscape. She's only here right now because she's so close to death, it weakens that part of the seal." He tells in a bored tone.
Mami Wata could only shake her head in disappointment at the fox's apathy. When he was a cub, he was such a sweet thing and so attentive to his siblings' needs, and now... Perhaps the time has come to do something about it and send him and his siblings back to the spirit world; she will explain herself to Lord Damballah later.
Looking up at the bared gates that keeps the beast in check, she raised her aqua blue glowing hand at the seal and fired an energy beam at it, breaking the seal.
But instead of opening like the Loa expected them to, the Gates remain close and now wrap in glowing white chains that appeared out of nowhere, and a man with golden hair appears himself before the attacking goddess. "What do you think you are doing?" The man demands of the Goddess with anger in his voice.
But it didn't bother Mami, who's teal eyes hardened even more at the sight of the man. "Show her respect, fool, this is Mami Wata, Goddess of Healing and Fertility, bringer of truths and answers to those lucky or foolish enough to gaze into her divine mirror." Kurama suddenly said with reverence, he may be annoyed and sick of everything on this earth and wants to end it by any means necessary, but his sense of respect for a higher power was still there.
The blond man wearing a long white coat over his shinobi outfit, crossed his arms over his chest as he narrowed his blue eyes upon the Goddess before him, then turned to the fox. "I do not care if she is Kami herself. The Loa have no business with the Hidden Leaf affairs. The only affairs she or any Loa should be worrying about is the Land of Marsh and its own hidden. So shut up Fox." He growls out at him, but that only serves to make the fox even more pissed off.
"NO, YOU SHUT UP Minato Namikaze." Kurama's voice boomed. "You have no say over the Goddess of old or me. You are just a chakra memory of a bastard that has never held any respect for anyone, just a man who coved power and is willing to sacrifice his own wife and daughter to get it." He accused, causing Mami Wata's eyes to narrow sense; she didn't know about that little detail.
Minato narrows his eyes at the fox even more. "Kushina deserved to die, for cheating on me with that ''Grand Bois'' bastard, and are little weapons there is not MY daughter, it's HIS." he let out.
Loa's eyes were now as large as saucers with her hands clenching hard into fists. "YOU USED THE CHILD OF AN OLD GOD AS A HOST TO A TAILED BEAST?!" She screams at the man in disbelief.
Minato's narrow gaze widden for a second at the realization that he just spilled the beans in front of one of them, but then they drift back towards the Loa, harsh again. "Yes i did." He says with a mixture of fear and pride in his voice. "Being a demigodess with a body much stronger then the average human, she was the perfect host for that animal, and the perfect revenge against my ex wife and her lover, sense she heals faster then average the Villagers can have a go at her as many times as they want 1 day, and by the next day or 2 she's fully healed and ready for another round of torture." He said with glee in his voice, then began to laugh like a crazy person escaping the asylum, that is until an invisible man took hold of him and sent him crashing against the Kyuubi's prison gate, pinning him there, hard.
The sight made the Fox smirk and thank Mami Wata for teaching the Bastard his place. ''I'm not the one doing this Kurama'' The Loa said, shocking the fox. If Mami Wata wasn't doing this, and he sure knows he's not the one doing it, then who?...
Hearing heaving breath behind the Loa, both she and Kurama looked to see the source of Minato's current predicament: A very pissed off looking Nariana, her right hand raised and glowing an emerald green along with her dangerously narrowed eyes. "You Bastard..." She growls out as she slowly closes her hand into a fist, increasing the force's pressure around Minato's body.
"Na.. Nara.. Na Le..let go…gooo…of…fff..me..eee.." Minato gasps out between pained, shallow breaths.
But the girl's new emerald eyes only glowed even brighter as her rage increased. "You cursed me to a life of misery and pain in my own home, JUST BECAUSE MY MOTHER LOVED SOMEONE ELSE. A bastard like you don't deserve love or a family. A BASTARD like you should be burning IN THE DEEPEST PITS OF HELL." The Demigoddess screamed out to the chakra memory of the bastard she believed to be her father for a moment.
While she was ranting, Nariana's body continued to go through more physical transformations: Her blond hair grew longer and changed into a deep strawberry blond instead of a sunshine blond, with strands of emerald green hair mixed into them. Her skin became much paler with her whisker-like marks completely vanishing, and she's appearing to be losing some weight, but she noticed nothing of that, to focus on squeezing the life out of the blond asshole.
"And if I have to, I'll personally throw you down that pit myself." Nariana growls out at him as her emerald green pupils turn into slits.
Meanwhile, Mami Wata looked at the child before her, eyes widen at the child who has just manifested her demi-goddess powers, which definitively carried Grand Bois Magical signature like she felt in the few other children he had with mortal women, but none of them had the level of power this one carried. 'Dear child, who are you truly?' She mentally questions herself as she watches on, never once trying to stop her.
"Y.. …lit..tle..bitch…" Growls out Minato with another gasp.
But Nariana took that insult in strife while giving him a cruel smirk, her emerald green eyes glowing even brighter. "Stick and stones may break my bones ''Daddy'', but the words coming out that filthy mouth of yours affects me about as much as Kakashi Sensei's warnings to behave myself during sparring. Any last words before I send you to the Shinigami to be judged and then ass kicked in hell?" She asked him in a deadly calm tone, her grip slightly loosening on the blonde's throat so he could talk.
He heaves a gasp, breathing heavily. Then sent a death glare at Naraina "I do, if you want someone to blame for that shit of a life you got, blade that mother of yours, it's her fault for you even being born." He growls out at the girl with a nasty smirk suddenly appearing on his face. "If I had lived and been allowed to raise you, I would have made you my Concubine, that's the only thing you would have been good for, along with your mother." He said with an insane laugh.
Nariana snares at him. "Trash like yourself is beneath me. Just like the Uchiha's." She hisses out as fangs glisen off the torches on the walls.
That was the last straw that broke the donkey's back, making Nariana snare at him while reinforcing her hold on the man and gasping for breath again. "You wish, but trash like yourself is beneath me, just like the Uchihas. Especially that teme Sasuke, who's next on my list of revenge." She hisses out as newly acquired fangs were revealed for all to see, making her appearance even more snake-like then before.
Those words left Minato gobsmacked. No one in his entire life has ever spoken to him in such a manner, not even Jiraiya has ever spoken to him in such a manner, and they had their share of nasty fights over the years.
But before he could pull himself together and try to fight her hold again, Nariana's hand finally closed all the way, which increased the magic pressure to such an extent that the chakra memory was literally crushed into dust, causing it to fade away into nothingness without giving him the chance to scream.
Falling to her knees, Nariana half panting, half sobbed, exhausting from using her new found power like that so soon. Yet a great sense of relief and joy fell on her body as well, the sense she managed to take revenge on one of her tormentors, ''And he won't be the only one soon enough'' She thought with another scary smile forming.
Meanwhile, Mami Wata moves her hands up to her chest as her eyes widened at the final display of power, but then fell down in relief that Minato was gone for good, the man was such a nasty piece of work that if she hadn't destroyed him, she would have.
She now moved over towards the still kneeled strawberry blonde. "Well done dear child, you have avenged yourself and your Father's honor. Now please, will you return with me back to the Land of Marsh, the land of our people." She asked her with a soft smile as she extended her hand towards the newly formed demi-goddess.
Nariana blinked several times as she looked up towards the Loa with tear tracks on her chubby cheeks. "You…you want a monster like me to come back…with you?" She questions the Goddess before her with a stutter as she tries to fight back more tears threatening to spill over once more.
The Goddess's heart breaks once more at the child's words as she frowns. "You are by no means a monster child." She said just before gently taking her face in her hands ''You are a demi-goddess, the child of a Divine being far superior to anything you know. You deserve to be loved and respected, not feared and despised.'' She finished with a kind smile.
Hearing the Goddess words, a smile slowly formed on Nariana's face as she gladly accepted her outstretched hands. "Thank…thank you." She tells the Goddess.
Who smiled at the young Demi-Goddess. "And I promise you, dear child. One day you shall meet your father and the rest of your divine family. Until that day, the village is Hidden In The Swamp, and the people of the trees will take you in and help you to the best of their abilities." She promised just before giving her a kiss on her forehead and telling her that it was time to wake up, causing the girl to disappear in a flash of green light, back to the waking world.
As soon as she was gone, Kurama, who's been ignored this whole time, looked back at Mami Wata. "What now Mami?" He questions the Loa still within the girl's mindscape.
She looks up to the massive fox behind the old, chained iron bars. "Now my dear Kurama? Will finish setting you free of course.'' She said with a smile before firing another energy beam, now at the chains which hold the barred doors shut, breaking them apart and finally allowing the doors to open.
The demon fox slowly stepped out of his prison, a genuine happy smile slowly forming on his maw, as Mami Wata began to mirror, until the fox completely stepped out and she could feel something was not quite right, something was missing from the fox himself.
''Kurama my dear fox, could you please tell me why I only feel Yang chakra coming from you?" She questions him as her teal eyes gazes deep into his own crimson eyes.
He looked away from her as a single tear rolled down his furry cheek. "That bastard split me in half when he saw that Nariana did not look like him and figured out Kushina was cheating on him with another man. At first Kushina had planned to seal me within her daughter as she wasn't sure if she would survive the stab wound to her abdomen, having lost too much blood by the time she was able to capture me." He answers her honestly.
Her eyes widened once more with shock at hearing this. "Please go on." She tells him as she fights to keep herself from exploding and going to hell herself to shred that bastard's soul to pieces.
"When he saw the girl, he attacked his wife, calling her a whore and slut. It worsened her injuries and killed her. Then he went through some hand seals and called upon the Shigami, making a deal with the old Death God, his soul for me sealed in Naraina, but he tried to double cross the god by sealing my Ying half within himself, thus giving his life-force enough of a boost to survive the sealing, but i managed to fatally injure him with one of my tails through his chest. And now my Ying half will be stuck for all eternity within that bastard's soul." Kurama tells her with a rage filled roar.
''My dear Kurama, That shall not do. I'm going to have to ask you to stay within Nariana's mindscape for a while longer while I go retrieve your Yin Half." The Loa tells him with a soft smile on her face.
"But how? You are not a Death Loa." Kurama points out to the Loa standing before him.
But her smile never wavered. "No, but Papa does me a favor. So after I'm sure little Nariana is safely in Marsh, I'm going to collect on that favor." She tells him before she and her snakes vanish in the water.
