King's Cafe
Francis Bay, Long Island
It's the early hours, Dominic and Deloris are tied to chairs together - Arms and legs - backs to each other. Bethany and Benjamin have them trapped in their own Basement, after Deloris discovered a secret computer system behind a concealed door, that holds sinister secrets and an underground criminal organization. Dominic has no choice, but to confess his sins to the only family he has left. Bethany or Benjamin, may or may not return in twenty hours, depending on circumstances and what fate lies ahead. Bethany hinted be involved in Charlotte's murder and Deloris is threatening her revenge on the cold hearted wife of Harry. Deloris is scared and shivers with the cold. Dominic's guilt hits him like a ton of bricks. Staring at a possible death sentence or another blackmail, it's time for doing the right thing for Dominic.
"Are you alright Sweetheart?" Dominic calls out to his daughter.
"No I ain't," Deloris seethes. "Daddy, what the fuck is going on?"
"I wish it didn't come to this. I had no choice."
"She killed my mother didn't she?"
Dominic cannot deny it's highly likely.
"Yes, she did."
"Why?"
Dominic takes a deep breath, about to admitting to gruesome and shocking events.
"Do you remember Glenda Robinson, my former Head Teacher?"
"I met her briefly, when we went to the Class of Seventy Nine reunion in Hex-Ville last year...why what she have to do with all this?"
"She was a groomer. And she groomed me - for a while - back in my High School years."
"Did Mom know?" Deloris asks.
"Not then. I felt ashamed," Dominic confesses. "However, some of the teenagers were getting hints that I was...you know."
Deloris is stunned, that Dominic allowed Glenda to get away with the abuse.
"You let her get away with this? She was a borderline Pedophile."
"She knew Kray, the local police officer, was a sexual predator himself, so they covered their own backs really."
Deloris is upset at the thought, her father was taken advantage of, by someone in high authority and education. But, she will most certainly be devastated by what's to come next.
"But, what's this got to do with, why that Bitch took my Mom away from me?" Deloris cries.
"When, that power cut occurred, at the Hex-Ville Reunion Party, your Mom had a confrontation with Robinson in a school classroom. That's when your Mom, found out she took advantage of me years earlier. I don't know what happened, I didn't get all the gory details, but Robinson was killed and Charlotte helped Bethany dispose of the body in a Garbage bin."
"Bethany didn't want my Mom going to the police?"
"I guess not?"
"Did Mom tell you that?"
"Yes and no."
Deloris frowns in confusion. How else would Dominic discover Charlotte and Bethany covering up a death?
"Then how?" Deloris asks.
Dominic hesitates, as he's getting to the biggest test of the all the secrets he's had hidden.
"Joe Hayes."
"The guy who stopped by here and that held you all hostage and killed Ted Sumner?
"...Yes. He had a Meta Human power, that could force people to tell the truth, even if they didn't want to."
"And he forced the truth out of Bethany? Was he hired by someone?"
"It's possible."
"Somebody, who was aware of what happened in Hex-Ville?"
Dominic suspects that wasn't the reason, Joe Hayes was originally sent to Francis Bay. He may not be aware, that Eric Lance AKA Hank Willis sent Joe Hayes on a mission, that eventually killed him.
"...I don't know."
Deloris thinks for a moment and peers through the dark, at the secret shutdown computer room, that's been hidden under the Cafe. She suspects, there's more than what her father was saying and Bethany also gave that impression.
"But, that's not all, is it Dad?" Deloris realizes.
"No, it's not," Dominic admits.
"Did you and Bethany have an affair?"
Dominic hesitates momentarily.
"It wasn't like that," Dominic responds, not really denying being intimate with her.
"Then what?" Deloris pushes.
"It was just one time, years ago. It didn't mean anything."
"That's what they all say. "It didn't mean anything." Maybe that's why Bethany killed Mom, because she was going to tell Harry."
Dominic starts to cry. He is now about to confess to the worst things, he's done possible and it's also possible, that he and Deloris will never recover their Father Daughter relationship after this.
"I love you," Dominic states.
"You do?" Deloris questions. "Then tell me, what you were sent down to Miami for."
Dominic freezes, sensing Deloris has found something in the secret computer room, that could incriminate him.
"What did you find in that room, Deloris?" Dominic fears.
"Never mind that," Deloris ignores. "What were you sent down to Miami for last year?"
"I was sent on a mission. Assist on a mission."
"You were working for someone?"
"Yes."
"Who?"
Dominic cannot bare to tell his daughter the murderous truth. But, he has no choice, if there is a chance they will survive.
"The Cosmos."
Deloris is beside herself, that her father would commit himself to working for a criminal organization, who's intent was causing personal anguish to millions and corporate espionage.
"Wh...that secret society that studied people with abilities or used them for profit?" Deloris figures.
"Yeah."
"Why?"
"What you mean, why was I sent down to Miami or why I was...?"
"Both."
Dominic sobs again, as it's starting to get too much. He doesn't want to lose his daughter.
"I love you, you know that," Dominic tears up.
"Just tell me," Deloris demands.
"I went to meet, the person I was assisting to commit murder and make sure the person was harmed. We went down to the Florida Key's, where we were picked up by pirates and taken near small islands in the Caribbean. We dropped the person off in a dingy about a mile off land and waited until, they completed their mission," Dominic explains.
"You assisted in murder? Why you? The Cosmos? What had it got so bad you had to assist in murder?"
"I've hated what I've done. That's why I moved us up here, to get away from all our troubles."
"But, then why is that computer system in this Basement?"
"Because the Cosmos, would have been onto me anyway. I couldn't just dump it off anywhere. I snuck this up here, just before you went off to college."
"You could have just walked away."
But, that Bitch and her psycho son, just won't leave it be."
"Bethany and Benjamin? What have they got to do with the Cosmos?"
"...Benjamin is the contact I went to the Caribbean with last year."
"Benjamin? Who did he kill?"
"In theory terms, his alias killed, Benita, murdered...Jeff Wilson. Harry's Brother.
FLASHBACK FROM EARLY SUMMER 2002
Late at night, Francis Bay, Dominic is putting out the trash in the Alley and when he turns around, he spots an envelope on the ground and opens it to reveal the Telegram, ordering him to go to Miami as soon as possible and that he calls a certain number at a certain time. He does so and Bethany answers and reveals the latest hideout of the Cosmos, was discovered three weeks earlier in the Bermuda Triangle and was revealed by a server used on a remote island in the Caribbean and that she was reluctant to use Benjamin to seek out Jeff. But, she insisted Dominic assist him, to be sure nothing goes wrong. The next morning, Dominic tells Charlotte, that a friend of his, has suggested going fishing at a Lake mid west for a few days. Charlotte is annoyed by this, but is reluctant to allow him to go and let her run the Cafe on her own.
Dominic takes a flight from JFK Airport and he keeps scouring the aisles of the plane to see if he's being spied on. Upon exiting the airport, he drops he luggage momentarily and an anonymous note appears, while he's distracted. He reads the note, which instructs him to go to Miami Beach. He arrives at a Restaurant, where he drinks a shot and goes unconscious. He later awakes that early evening, in the Florida Keys and sees a taller figure - possible female with his/her back to him looking in the mirror on a private cruiser. The persons turns around and the mysterious person is Benjamin Bates aka as Benita - who is presently the Francis Bay Killer. He dons a long blonde wig, heavy eye make up and red lipstick. He is dressed in a long black cloak and high heeled hostess shoes. Dominic doesn't have an incline of who the cross dresser is.
"Hello honey, sleep well?" Benita teases, blowing a kiss.
"Who are you?" Dominic comes round.
"Benita. My mother sends her regards."
"I'm reluctant to do this you know."
"Yes, I know. But, Jeff Wilson is meant to be dead anyway, darling."
"Don't call me that."
"Sorry, honey."
"Whatever."
"How Jeff Wilson survived that Execution in Texas, has left my Aunt Carla mystified and she'll expected nothing else, than a guarantee that he doesn't cause anymore trouble to us or my mothers marriage to his brother."
"Then, what do want me for?"
"My Aunt Carla knows I'm not screwed up well and well..my mother worries. But, I was willing to help, but knowing my mother loves me, she wanted you to be reminded, what she helped you with."
"Helped me? It's fucking destroyed my life."
"I know. But, like it was agreed, this will be the last time, if things go the way we want. Then, you can go back and be the loving husband, you've always been."
Dominic looks down at Benita's High Heel Shoes.
"They don't suit the rest you're wearing," Dominic points out.
"Oh, these, yeah," Benita agrees. " No, they don't. I have Stiletto Boots in my bag. But, I'll wear these for tonight, since this is a special occasion. Kind of nice of the Air Hostess to gift them to me."
"Which Air Hostess is that?"
Benita opens up a closet and reveals the remains of a mutilated air hostess. She has been chopped her with a Machete. Dominic jumps out of his skins at the sight of the gruesome discovery.
"Holy Shit!" Dominic screeches.
"She got a little too close to my cock. So I chopped her Tits off. She thought we were going off on an adventure."
"I see."
"Our get our lovely boys to make you up a drink or something to eat. I hope you have a good appetite, before we get underway."
Dominic glances at the body, feeling sick.
"Sure."
