Chapter 13 – Epilogue
-:-:-
Captain Uma was a no-nonsense, determined, ruthless and to the point individual who had a duo of insanely devoted gentlemen eager to cater to her every beck and call to the best of their abilities.
In short, Audrey adored her, adored the highest-ranking members of her crew, and felt the beginnings of a very solid plan shift into place after her third run in with the fabled 'Sea Three'.
"A pool party," Uma echoed, and while her expression was unreadable, there was a slight hint of incredulity in her tone that Audrey thrived on. "You want us to come to a pool party with royalty."
"They're a lot of fun," Audrey sang in that way that made Uma's brow twitch. "Just ask Mal if you're worried, her crew had a great time at our last pool party."
Just like any other time Audrey mentioned Mal's crew doing something Uma scowled, immediately guaranteeing her desire to echo that experience, because like hell was the Dragon Crew going to get something she didn't.
"Give us a time and place," Uma muttered, folding her arms across her chest with a slight frown. "And what the hell do you do at a pool party?"
"Trust me," Audrey said, trying to stifle a smirk. "It's just one of those things you have to experience for yourself."
Audrey had a feeling that Harry would very much like to experience it for himself, but it was difficult to tell with these three. Fortunately, they'd already been dosed with their own measures of potion, which seemed to have helped them cross the boundaries from coworkers to lovers.
They really were a cute bunch. And they'd be cuter in swimsuits. In the hot tub.
Light, did Audrey hope Carlos tested out the sauna this time. She'd have to convince Chad to reprogram that renovated shower again, because apparently he'd done that on Lonnie's request as a treat for her and Jane.
Yes, the possibilities were endless.
"Whatever," Uma huffed, rolling her eyes as though that could hide the light flush on her cheeks. "If Mal's crew can take it, so can we."
"I was hoping you'd say that," Audrey said, and she didn't even giggle, though she greatly wanted to.
Some things, she'd learned, were worth waiting for.
This could be one of them.

And that was all she wrote :)
