I will be updating once a week again and if I can get inspired I'll update my other stories as well.
Once I was home I started dinner and of course, Jessica called excited that Mike had said yes to her.
She then asked me to come to the dance now that she was sure of Mike and I told her that I wasn't interested yet again.
"Is it that you don't have a date? I mean did you ask anyone?"
"No, I'm just not interested in going to this dance, Maybe Prom though. I have plans in Seattle."
"Did you ask someone and they said no?"
"I didn't ask anyone Jessica I told you I'm not looking."
"Bella if you want a guy that wants to read all day you should go to the library during lunch and look around."
I laughed. "He doesn't have to read all day Jess just I don't know like some of the books I like, same music would be nice, and just getting someone that doesn't act like a child would be nice as well like Mike he's funny but he kinda plays around a bit too much he's perfect for you Jessica cause you mello him when he gets to notice when you talk to him he changes it works for you. Or like Eric he's sweet but I'm not really into comic books, anime, or going to those kinds of things and well Tyler is full of himself I mean..."
"I heard Tyler asked you out and you turned him down."
"You heard from who?"
"Mike he told me when He called, seems Tyler told him that you flat out told him you would never go out with him anywhere."
"Well, I mean..." I sighed " I didn't want to be mean but he just upset me he came over and in a demanding tone asked me to ask him out." I-I mean who does that then when I said no he went on to say he would take me to dinner and the prom and started to walk off I didn't even answer he just assumed I would go with him. I was just trying to be clear with no hesitation or even a little of hope that I was interested in him I needed it to get through to his thick skull I would not be interested."
Jessica was laughing loudly on the other end.
"Boys are so dumb I can't believe he told you to ask him. OMG, that's Halarius good for you saying no."
"Yeah plus I know Lauren likes him so even though I'm not interested in him I wouldn't go for him for that reason. "
"You right she likes him. So you didn't ask Cullen then?"
"Cullen? You mean Edward?"
"Yeah, Mike thought you asked him."
"No, come on like he would go with me." I scoffed. "We are friends."
I smirked trying not to show in my voice my lie.
"What do you mean Bella he sits with you. You not just friends He's not been friendly to anyone outside his family before you diffrent."
"Well I'm a klutz I cause trouble all the time and trip on flat surfaces, I'm a mess he laughs at me and Alice is my friend and she says he's shy but not into dating either."
"Alice You talk to the freak Cullen?"
I gritted my teeth "She is not a freak" I snapped without thought.
"Um sorry, I mean I just.. she kinda stares off at nothing a lot like I'm sorry I didn't know you were friends."
I took a breath.
"I didn't mean to snap it's just we are friends in a way she asked how I was after the accident she said Edward was shy is why he doesn't have friends outside of the family they all keep to themselves just because it is easier they are foster kids they have been through a lot so they understand each other better than telling someone new their story."
"Oh, I can understand that," Jessica said I could see her eyes lighting up as if she was in front of me just loving the new information about the Cullens. I rolled my eyes.
"Anyway, I don't think Edward likes me as more than just friends anyway, I barely know him."
"What's to know, he's hot and rich."
"I don't care about looks Jess and money isn't everything you can lose money just as fast as you get it. Money can buy pretty things but it won't make you happy or buy love."
She laughed "Bella you watch too many romances or read them. Money makes the world go round."
I rolled my eyes and sighed.
My head shot up to the door opening.
"Jess my dad's home and I have to finish dinner."
"Okay talk to you later."
I hung up the phone I can't remember why I was friends with her or why I wanted to be.
Angela was the only real normal friend I had.
"Hey, good."I smiled.
"Hey, Dad dinner will be ready in a moment It's the lasagna I prepared last night."
"Okay, Bells I'll catch the scores then."
I chuckled under my breath and shook my head of course.
I set the table and the timer dinged letting me know to take the lasagna out of the oven. I set it out to cool and put in the garlic bread. I scooped out two helpings for Dad and me and put the bread placing the slices on a plate in the center of the table.
"dinners ready!" I called out.
"Looks good," Dad said coming into the kitchen.
Charlie sat down grabbed a slice of garlic bread and smushed his slice of lasagna as he dipped his bread in it.
I was thinking on how it was close it was finally time it was so close everything worked up to this.
This is it Edward and I will be together officially in two weeks.
Of course, to get there I have to go to Port Angelas and that still has not been decided.
"Dad Angela and Jessica are going to Port Angeles next week after school can I go?"
"When?"
"Tuesday."
"On a school night? I don't know Bells."
"I'll make sure my homework is done and we won't be to late we going straight after school."
"Why?"
"Shopping."
"Shopping?"
"They want help finding dresses for the dance."
"Dance, so your getting a dress too?"
I rolled my eyes."I'm not going."
"No one ask you?"
"I don't dance Dad." I said looking with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh right." He said realizing he had forgotten I did get my clumsiness from him and my two left feet.
"Alice wasn't going either so she and I made plans to hang out for the day."
"Alice?'
"Cullen."
"Dr. Cullens kids?" I nodded
"That Edwin guy going to be there," I smirked and rolled my eyes.
"Edward's dad and he's Alice's Brother so I think so. Inlessits a sunny day then They will be camping Alice said it might be a nice day and if so it would just be us girls."
"What will you be doing?"
"Well Alice wanted to go to Seattle and go shopping, I could wear some new clothes, depends on her parents of course If that's a no-go movie, well I told her she could do my makeup now girl stuff" I cringed.
I figured if I told him now it would be the better one he wanted just be surprised by me going out with Edward out of nowhere two he would see that I'm friends with Alice and I feel like if I talk it into existence then it will happen. I can't believe that it's almost starting to worry me as well.
I thought about today's events as I ate then thought about tomorrow. Originally tomorrow would have been the first day Edward would have talked to me it was meant to go almost as it did a few days ago we would have lunch together then he would ask questions we would go to biology I dropped my fork as it came crashing down on me.
"Bella Bella are you okay."
"Yes yes, I just remembered Dad can you write me a note to leave school after lunch."
"What why Bella you cant skip school."
"Dad they will be doing blood typing in Biology it's write after lunch." I cringed
"You know I I can't do that All that blue and the needle."
"Okay Well I can write you a note to get out of that class I suppose but the last class Is gym," I said flatly
He chuckled."Okay, I'll say you are excused but you must come straight home."
"I will everyone will be in class no reason I shouldn't come straight home start on dinner do homework and get laundry done."
"Thanks, Dad I appreciate it I didn't want to get sick in class."
