Chapter 36

Ancient Ruins Area

The three uniformed men ran toward the duel area where Shun was still dodging the three Knights monsters that were on the field. Yuzu watched in tired confusion but when she saw the final person right behind them she was shocked.

"Why is Sora with those weirdos?" Yuzu said slowly getting up but falling back down. She shivered from the pain since it reminded her of the pain she received when she dueled Resha. She quickly began to shake her head to stop those thoughts from rising up but failed miserably.

Sora walked into view of Shun and the knights calmly and overconfident.

"You're…" Shun said when he saw Sora who was licking his lollipop with a confident smile.

"I've been looking forward to this moment to settle things, Shun Kurosaki! You have no Idea how happy I am to see you!" Sora said as he smiled. Shun just glared at him causing the smile to grow bigger.

"So-Sora!" Yuzu finally was able to shout but she was ignored as Sora only focused on Shun.

"Hold them back so that they won't interfere with me." Sora told the three soldiers who went over to the Knights of Duel and activated their duel disk but instead of receiving a penalty their duel disk said it was now a triple tag duel. When the knights asked who they were they just said they were the Obelisk Force.

Control Room

Reiji watched the duel that was just about to begin with a serious expression.

Volcano Area

"Let's Battle! Trapeze Magician attacks Brave-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Dennis said as his monster began to swing and when it jumped off it grabbed the pole and then threw a magic beam at the dragon.

"What? But Trapeze Magician's attack is 2500. It can't beat Brave-Eyes! You'll be the one who takes the damage." Yuya said, looking confused.

"Nope! I activate Mini-Guts! I tribute Mirror Conductor and reduce Brave-Eyes Pendulum Dragon's attack to 0 until the end of the battle phase!" Dennis said. Looking around, Yuya tried to find an action card but there were none in sight so all he could do was watch as Trapeze Magician flew above Brave-Eyes and then falling down really fast destroying Brave-Eyes and dropping Yuya's life points to zero.

"Dennis defeated Yuya with an excellent entertainment dueling!" Nico said but Shuzo didn't care that much about the win since he was still worried about Yuzu but luckily he was sitting down since he knew Yoko would just knock him out if he tried to run to the Ancient Ruins Areas so he just kept looking at the screen that said no signal as if he stared long enough the screen would be willed back on because of his hot blood. Everyone else was worried too but they knew that there was nothing they could do so they tried to look happy but the worry was all over their faces.

"Unfortunately, I lost so here you are." Yuya said as he handed over the Pendulum card he wagered at the beginning of the duel. While taking the cards Dennis was happy since now they were friends. He told Yuya to keep winning and maybe they could duel again later.

"Sorry to interrupt but can I take you up on that offer right now?" a voice said, causing both Yuya and Dennis to look to the left. When he saw who said that Dennis felt his blood run cold. In the stadium the signal that was broadcasting the Volcano area turned off causing the crowd to mummer in confusion.

"Sorry! We're trying to fix it!" Nico said in a panic.

Control Room

"We cut the Volcano area feed, sir." A woman said, receiving a nod from Reiji who was watching the screen.

"Sir is there a reason as to why?" A man asked this time confused as to why they had to cut the feed in the Volcano Area.

"That boy is part of Arcadia." Reiji said. The control room was filled with panic and confused mummers as they stared at the boy who was confronting Yuya and Dennis right now.

"Um sir? But can't Dennis beat him since he is in Slifer red?" The same woman from earlier asked confused as to why they are worried about a Slifer red.

"Just because he's in Slifer doesn't mean you should underestimate him. He is from Academia." was all Reiji said and then focused back to the screen. He then turned to his left and activated a video call to the eight Youth League.

"You're up. As the most likely to join the Lancers, I want you to unleash all your strength and protect the crowd." He said and then the doors of the vehicle opened and all eight Youth League ran to their positions ready to intercept any invaders that may come to hurt them and their loved ones.

Ancient Ruins Area

Sora and Shun were walking to a separate ruin away from the duel of the Obelisk Force and the Duel of Knights. After finally getting some strength in her legs Yuzu was jumping from pillar to pillar calling out to Sora but he was still ignoring her. But her attention was brought over to the duel between the Obelisk Force and the Duel of Knights when she saw a flash of light.

"Heh. Standard dimension duelists are nothing special." One of the men said, shaking a card as if it was one of those pictures taken by an instant camera. She looked around and saw that Ashley was missing. The man threw the card right in front of Bram and Carl who looked at it and then let out a scream of horror. She then saw the other two lift their duel disk and felt her heart start to hurt. She grabbed at her chest as images of people screaming running away while buildings were falling. She swore she saw a young man in the middle of the chaos but her focus was brought back to the present when more flashes of light shone out and two more cards fell down. When she tried ignoring the pain she realized the Knights of Duel were gone. A gust of wind blew the three cards towards Yuzu and when she focused on the side that was the front of the cards she saw the terrified faces of the Knight of Duels. At that moment she felt an unbearable flash of pain with hints of anger.

"Unforgivable…" Yuzu said very low with her hair covering her eyes as she stared at the ground with the three men laughing in the background.

"Unforgivable…" An image of people crying and running came back into her mind.

"Unforgivable…" Her bracelet began to blink as if giving a warning.

"Unforgivable…" Her hair began to rise up as black aura formed at the bottom of her feet as she walked closer to the three men.

"Unforgivable…" The three men looked in her direction when they saw her shadow in the ruins.

"Unforgivable…" She said again very low. Causing the three men to look at her in confusion.

"Unforgivable…" She said again as Reiji watched with wide eyes as Reira began to scream in pain and begging for the pain to stop.

"Unforgivable…" The image of her father running after her is clear in her mind but there was a time she would see another man running after her in the place of her father.

"Unforgivable…" She sees a young man laughing in front of a Pendulum that looked like Yuya's necklace laughing but had tears falling down his face.

"Unforgivable…" She sees an area split in two with the people in the shadows looking longingly at the people in the light who were laughing at them and throwing scraps at them in entertainment.

"Unforgivable…" She sees a room colored green with what looked like gold particles flowing down into a wired tower.

"Unforgivable…Unforgivable…Unforgivable…Unforgivable…Unforgivable… UNFORGIVABLE!" Yuzu screamed at the top of her lungs as she was now completely surrounded in the dark aura. The three men took a step back from the girl who was staring at them with glowing red-eyes.

Back in the stadium Nico was trying to calm the angry crowd by watching the duel between Mici, Olga, and Halil but the crowd didn't care, well except for the other fan-moms and Yoko but Shuzo could see she wasn't into it that much like she was earlier.

"If I can't see my darling, there's no point watching TV." Mieru said after calming down from the fit she had earlier when Yuya's screen turned to error. The people that were speed walking by kept looking at her house in fear from the yelling that had happened a few minutes earlier.

"That's right, I'll use my crystal ball to watch instead!" She said with a huge smile as she dove for her crystal apple that was a few feet away since it fell off its perch when she threw a pillow in its direction.

"Wait, I'll just go and see darling in person! He would be so happy to see me and then…

"Darling!" Mieru yelled as she ran up to him.

"Mieru, what are you doing here?" Yuya said when Mieru ran up to him.

"I wanted to cheer you on in person." She said looking to the side blushing.

"Mieru…" Yuya said touched by Mieru's actions to cheer him on.

"Thanks to you I know I will win! Wait for me Mieru after I win I'll talk to your parents for your hand." Yuya said getting down on one knee looking at Mieru lovingly and just like he promised he beat everyone and then proposed and they had a big happy family.

"Oh darling, not in front of the children." Mieru said, drooling as she fantasized about her future.

"I'm coming darling!" Mieru yelled running out her door and past the people that were staring at her weirdly.
