Chapter 09: Phantom Knights vs Infection Bugs

United World – Heartland

"Duel!" Yuto and Mr. Heartland declared.

Mr. Heartland LP: 4000, Hand: 5

Before Yuto could do anything, he suddenly felt his body feeling pressured. "Wh-What is this pressure?"

"Don Thousand is using his power to alter this world. In this Duel, you will feel pain beyond your wildest dreams! You'll feel pain that you wish that you stayed dead." Mr. Heartland smirked.

"I'm not gonna die again. I'm gonna live! I'm going first! I set all five cards and end my turn!" Yuto set his entire hand.

"Oh, you didn't draw a Monster Card? This will be easy." Mr. Heartland boasted.

"Then try and take me down." Yuto challenged.

"I'm no fool, brat. I know what you're really aiming. Those set cards have additional effects that can be activated when they are in the Graveyard. No doubt that he's setting up for an Xyz Summon. Luckily I have a plan to take care of your Phantom Knights and Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon." Mr. Heartland thought.

"My turn! Draw!" Mr. Heartland drew his card. "I summon Infection Fly (ATK: 100, LV: 1)!" Mr. Heartland summoned an insect monster. "Next, from my hand, I activate the Magic Card: Hell Multiplication!"

"When I have a Level 2 or lower monster on my field, I can Special Summon all the monsters with the same name from my hand! I Special Summon two more Infection Flies (ATK: 100, LV: 1)!" Mr. Heartland summoned more copies.

"I activate Infection Fly's effect! This card can double the Levels of all monsters I have on the field!"

Infection Fly x3 (LV: 1→2)

"Now, I use the other Infection Fly to double their levels again!" Mr. Heartland ordered.

Infection Fly x3 (LV: 2→4)

"And with one more…" Yuto gritted his teeth.

"Double your levels once more!" Mr. Heartland ordered.

Infection Fly x3 (LV: 4→8)

"The conditions have been met! With my three Level 8 Infection Flies, I construct the Overlay Network!" The three insects entered the spacelike portal in front of Mr. Heartland.

"Amazing Lord of the Flies, Dark wings that flap with a fantastic roar! Xyz Summon! Appear! Infection Baal Zeboul (ATK: 3000, RNK: 8, OVU: 3)!" Mr. Heartland summoned a Number.

"A Numbers…" Yuto sweated. "This just got harder, but my set cards…"

"I activate Infection Baal Zeboul's effect! When this monster is summoned, one monster from my opponent's Extra Deck is sent to the Graveyard!" This alarmed Yuto. "Nice expression! Send Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon to your Graveyard!" Mr. Heartland ordered.

Yuto opened his Extra Deck slot and sent Dark Rebellion to the Graveyard. "With this, your ace is gone. I set two cards and end my turn!" Mr. Heartland set his hand.

"He didn't attack?" Yuto got confused.

"Now, can you take on the best Number in the world! Number 1!" Mr. Heartland boasted.

"My turn! Draw!" Yuto drew his card. "I activate my Trap Card: Jar of Greed! I draw one more card from my deck!" Yuto drew one more card.

"Double Trap, Open! Phantom Knights – Lost Vambrace! These cards lower the Attack Points of one monster my opponent controls by 600 and I can Special Summon these cards as monsters! Come! Lost Vambrace (ATK: 600, LV: 2)!"

Infection Baal Zeboul (ATK: 3000→1800)

"Now, I Overlay my Level 2 Phantom Knights Lost Vambrace!" The two monsters entered the spacelike portal in front of Yuto.

"Cursed spear of rebellion entombed in darkness which has impaled countless warriors, descend now! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 2! Phantom Knights Cursed Javelin (ATK: 1600, RNK: 2, OVU: 2)!" Yuto summoned his Phantom Knight Xyz Monster.

"I activate Cursed Javelin's effect! By using one Overlay Unit, I can reduce the Attack Points of one monster on my field to 0 and negate its effects!" Cursed Javelin fired lightning at Baal Zeboul and made it weaker.

Baal Zeboul (ATK: 1800→0)

"Battle! Cursed Javelin, attack Numbers 1 Baal Zeboul! Lightning Thrust!" Cursed Javelin thrust its spear forward and impaled the Number and destroyed it.

Mr. Heartland LP: 4000→2400

"Numbers being destroyed by Numbers is just an effect they have! If that effect is negated, they can be destroyed by any monster! My Phantom Knights won't fall to the Numbers!" Yuto declared.

Mr. Heartland simply chuckled as he brushed some dust off of his suit. "It wouldn't be interesting if you couldn't do this much. That being said, that move was the first step to your defeat!"

"What?" Yuto questioned.

"I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Rank-Up Magic – Revenge Chaos Force! When a Numbers monster on my field is destroyed in battle or card effect! I can Special Summon that monster to my field and use it as material for the Xyz Summon of a Chaos Number!"

"Shit!" Yuto cursed.

"With Baal Zeboul, I reconstruct the Overlay Network!" Baal Zeboul flew into the sky. "Lord of the Flies! Obtain the power of the God, Don Thousand and become a god yourself! Chaos Xyz Change! Appear! Chaos Number 1: Infection Beelzebub (ATK: 3800, RNK: 9, OVU: 1)!" Mr. Heartland summoned a Chaos version of Number 1.

"Damn it…" Yuto cursed.

"I knew you would use those set cards to summon an Xyz Monster to counter my Number. That's why I prepared all the necessary steps to summon my Chaos Number. Now, what's your next move, Yuto?" Mr. Heartland asked.

"I…" Yuto looked at his hand. "I don't know if monster effects will work on his Chaos Number. I'll just save these for later."

"I end my turn!" Yuto finished.

"My turn! Draw!" Mr. Heartland drew his card. "You know since my monster evolved, it's only fair that I do the same!"

"What are you talking about?" Yuto asked.

"Behold the power granted by Don Thousand!" Mr. Heartland glowed and he changed into a monstrous being and unleashed pink lightning on Yuto.

"Whoa!" Yuto dodged the lightning. He looked at where the lightning struck and saw smoldering ash. "He's definitely trying to kill me."

"That's right, the paradise that awaits us has no room for trash like you!" Mr. Heartland declared. "I activate Infection Beelzebub's effect! By using one Overlay Unit, I can destroy one monster on the opponent's field and inflict its Attack Points as damage!" Infection Beelzebub sent a poisonous blast towards Cursed Javelin.

Infection Beelzebub (OVU: 1→0)

"I activate Cursed Javelin's effect! By using one Overlay Unit, I can negate your monster's effect and reduce its Attack Points to 0!" Cursed Javelin unleashed its lightning again.

Cursed Javelin (OVU: 1→0)

"That won't work! I activate my Counter Trap: Necro Overlay! When my opponent activates an effect that targets an Xyz Monster on my field, this card negates that monster's effect and I can attach one monster card in my Graveyard as an Overlay Unit to my Xyz Monster!" Infection Beelzebub was protected as he used an Overlay Unit to protect itself.

Cursed Javelin, however was destroyed and Yuto took damage from the effect.

"Battle! Infection Beelzebub! Direct Attack Yuto!" Infection Beelzebub unleashed its attack towards Yuto.

"I activate my Trap Card: Phantom Knights Reanimation! This card Special Summons a Phantom Knights monster that was destroyed in battle in Attack Position with its effect negated! Revive! Cursed Javelin (ATK: 1600, RNK: 2)!" Cursed Javelin reappeared.

"In that case, attack Cursed Javelin and send him back to the Graveyard! Infection Beelzebub instantly destroyed Cursed Javelin and Yuto screamed in pain.

Yuto LP: 2400→200

"With this, I end my turn! You managed to live for another turn." Mr. Heartland smiled. "But the moment you summon a monster, I can use Infection Beelzebub's effect to destroy your monster and deal its Attack Points as damage. And even if you did somehow managed to avoid the damage, when Infection Beelzebub has no Overlay Units, my opponent cannot target it for attacks! My victory is assured!"

"It's not over…" Yuto glared at Mr. Heartland. "My little brother gave me a second chance and I'm not gonna give it up so easily!

"My turn! Draw!" Yuto drew his card. "Mr. Heartland, it's time you witness the power of the Dragon Soldier!"

"What?!" Mr. Heartland got alarmed.

"By sending one Phantom Knights monster from my hand to the Graveyard, I can activate my Continuous Trap: Phantom Knights Armor!" Yuto roared as black armor encased his entire body.

Phantom Knights Armor (ATK: 0, LV: 4)

"That armor! It can't be…" Mr. Heartland sweated.

"My little brother is no longer the only one who has armor! Next, from my hand, I activate the Magic Card: Xyz Dragon Rebirth! This card lets me Special Summon an Xyz Dragon monster in my Graveyard! Revive! Dark Rebellion!" Dark Rebellion revived from the Graveyard.

"I activate Phantom Knights Armor! I can select one Xyz Monster on my field and change its Rank into a Level! I change Dark Rebellion from Rank 4 to Level 4!" Dark Rebellion roared as his Rank changed to a Level.

"Now, I Overlay my Level 4 Phantom Knights Armor and Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Both Yuto and Dark Rebellion soared into the sky. Both Duelist and Dragon danced around each other before colliding together causing lightning to strike all over the area.

"Ah!" Mr. Heartland yelped as he was almost zapped by one of the lightning bolts.

"Dragon of Rebellion, bestow upon me your power to fight those foolish enough to oppose you! Descend! Xyz Summon!" One large bolt of lightning hit the ground and Yuto reappeared in a new shiny black and purple armor.

"Rank 4! Soldier of Rebellion, Yuto (ATK: 2500, RNK: 4, OVU: 2)!" Yuto pulled a black sword from the scabbard around his waist and pointed it at Mr. Heartland.

"This is…the form that defeated Leo Akaba?!" Mr. Heartland was stumped.

"No, this form is unique only to me." Yuto said. "And I'll show that now! I activate my effect!" Yuto raised his sword and both of the Overlay Units went into it.

"By using all of my Overlay Units, I can banish all cards on my opponent's field! Phantom Lightning!" Yuto's sword unleashed lightning and it struck Infection Beelzebub, causing it to disappear.

"My Number!" Mr. Heartland panicked. "You damn bastard!"

"It's over for your, Heartland!" Yuto jumped. "Battle! I attack Heartland directly! Lightning Sword, Disobey!" Yuto's sword unleashed lightning and he stabbed Heartland right in the chest, making Heartland scream.

Mr. Heartland LP: 2400→0

Winner: Yuto

"D-Damn you…" Mr. Heartland cursed before he coughed out blood.

"Mr. Heartland, why did you side with Genesis?" Yuto asked.

"My Heartland was destroyed…I was supposed to lead the people and bring it back to its former glory…but your brother, robbed me of that chance. Now people look up to him, instead of me…" Heartland growled.

"How can you be so petty? You're the Mayor of Heartland, your duty is to the people." Yuto got angry.

"The people? I don't give a damn about them…the only person that matters to me is me…" Mr. Heartland claimed.

Yuto gritted his teeth, before he twisted his blade, making Heartland gasp once more. Yuto then pulled his sword out of Heartland and the man fell back, dead.

Yuto's armor then disappeared and he fell to his knee. "Aw man…This Duel did more damage to me than I thought." Yuto panted. "If the cause of this is Don Thousand…" Yuto looked up to the sky. "Rio…we're counting on you."

Barian World

"Duel!" Rio and Don Thousand declared.

Rio LP: 4000, Hand: 5

"I will go first." Don Thousand declared. "I will do nothing and end my turn!"

"Don Thousand…" Rio glared at him. "His power has increased, most likely thanks to Genesis. Doing nothing on the first turn is a total lie. But I can't be cautious against this guy, I have to go all out!"

"My turn! Draw!" Rio drew her card.

"At this moment, I activate the effect of the Field Magic: Numeron Network in my hand!" Don Thousand showed a card from his hand. "When I control no cards, I can activate this card from my hand during my opponent's Draw Phase!"

Don Thousand activate the Field Magic and the entire area was transformed into a network of energy.

"Numeron Network, so you're using the Numeron Code again like last time." Rio glared at Don Thousand.

"That's right. The Numeron Code was the reason I was able to take over most of the world! You only defeated it out of pure luck the last time." Don Thousand pointed out.

"No, I won because you were the same as you are now, arrogant and full of yourself! My turn! Draw!" Rio drew her card. "I summon Blizzard Falcon (ATK: 1500, LV: 4)!" Rio summoned her falcon.

"At this moment, I activate my Counter Trap: Numeron Rewriting Summon from my deck!" Don Thousand played a Trap from her Deck.

"Tch…" Rio got ticked off.

"When I have not other cards on my field, this card allows me to negate the Normal Summon of an opponent's Xyz Monster and destroy it!" Blizzard Falcon got destroyed.

"Then, I am allowed to choose a monster from my opponent's deck and Special Summon it to the opponent's field with its effect negated! I choose Guard Penguin (ATK: 0, LV: 4) from your deck!" Rio's tiny penguin appeared.

"I'm not out of options yet, Don Thousand! From my hand, I activate the Field Magic: Land of Frozen Flames! With this card, a Water-Attribute monster that is used for an Xyz Summon will be counted as two!" Rio changed half of her field to her domain.

"Numeron Network is a powerful card, but it has limits! You can only rewrite my cards once per turn!" Rio pointed out.

"Grr…" Don Thousand gritted his teeth.

"You're still too arrogant, Don Thousand! I Overlay my Guard Penguin treated as two monsters!" Guard Penguin duplicated itself and flew into the spacelike portal in front of Rio.

"Beast with wings of ice! Appear before us and freeze the flames of war! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 4! Sub-Zero Bird Beast Sylphine (ATK: 2000, RNK: 4, OVU: 1)!" Rio summoned her Winged-Beast monster.

"You're not summoning your Number?" Don Thousand questioned.

"Sylphine is more than enough to take you down! I activate Sylphine's effect! By using one Overlay Unit, I can negate the effects of all face-up cards on the field until my next turn's Standby Phase! In other words, I'm freezing the Numeron Network!" Sylphine unleashed her ice and froze the Numeron Network.

"Battle! Sylphine! Direct Attack Don Thousand! Ice Ray!" Sylphine unleashed her attack and struck Don Thousand, but he didn't flinch or move.

Don Thousand LP: 4000→2000

"I set two cards and end my turn!" Rio finished her turn.

"Don Thousand, history is starting to repeat itself! I'm gonna beat you again, no matter how many times you come back!" Rio declared. "I will never forgive you for what you did to the other emperors! We are not your tools!"

"Heh, I don't need weaklings like you. I have been granted a new power to take you down, both physically and mentally." Don Thousand pointed out.

"It doesn't matter what power Genesis gave you, it won't be enough to stop me!" Rio said.

"Who said that the power that I received was from Genesis?" Don Thousand questioned.

"What are you saying?" Rio questioned.

"My turn! Draw!" Don Thousand drew his card. "You may have sealed the Numeron Network for now, but I can defeat you now with these cards." Don Thousand grabbed two cards from his hand.

"Using the Scale 0 Numeron Barian and the Scale 13 Numeron Astral, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Don Thousand set his Pendulum Scale.

"What?!" Rio exclaimed.

A being of a Barian and a being of an Astral appeared in columns of blue light beside Don Thousand. With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters from Levels 1 to 12! Barian World! Astral World! I call upon your power to create the path to my dream paradise! Pendulum Summon! Appear! My monsters!"

"Numeron Magician (ATK: 2300, LV: 7, PS: 3)! And Numeron Wyvern (ATK: 2600, LV: 7, PS: 6)!" Don Thousand summoned two monsters that had the power of the Numeron Code.

"Pendulum Monsters! How? How did you get Pendulum?!" Rio exclaimed.

"This is the power that we extracted from your friend, Yuya Ryuga." Don Thousand said.

"What?!" Rio was shocked.

"We of Genesis' circle knew that our tactics wouldn't be enough to defeat you stubborn Guardians. That's why Genesis came up with an idea, she would use Yuya Ryuga's desire to rid the United World of her to her advantage in order to capture him and take his power of the Pendulum." Don Thousand revealed.

"Damn it…" Rio cursed.

"But it wasn't just the Pendulum Summon that we have obtained." Don Thousand pointed out. "Allow me to show you what else we've taken from him! From my hand, I activate the Magic Card: Numeron Quick Summon! This card allows me to Special Summon a Numeron Xyz Monster from my Extra Deck with its effect negated and at the End Phase is banished!"

"When the Iron Gate from where Heaven and Hell are touching opens, abandon your last Hope! Appear! Number 1: Gate of Numeron – Ekam (ATK: 1000, RNK: 1)!" Don Thousand summoned a gate.

"Next, I activate the effect of Numeron Magician! By releasing this monster, I can change an Xyz Monster's Rank to a Level that is equal to another Numeron monster on my field! I release Numeron Magician and change Ekam's Rank to Numeron Wyvern's Level: 7!"

Ekam (RNK: 1→LV: 7)

"Next, I activate Numeron Wyvern's effect! Once per turn, I can change one monster's type on my field to a Dragon-type! I change Ekam's type from Machine to Dragon!" Ekam was now treated as a Dragon.

"I Overlay my Level 7 Numeron Wyvern and Gate of Numeron – Ekam!" The two monsters entered the spacelike portal in front of Don Thousand. Don Thousand then chuckled to himself. "I wonder how he said it…"

"Huh?" Rio questioned.

"Let's see. I believe it was like this…Dragon with dichromatic eyes," Don Thousand smirked, which made Rio's eyes widen. "Resurrect from the deep darkness, and with your flames of rage, incinerate everything on the earth! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 7! The blazing dragon who calls calamity! Supreme King Violent Dragon – Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon (ATK: 3000, RNK: 7, OVU: 2, PS: 1)!" Don Thousand summoned one of Yuya's darker Odd-Eyes monsters.

"O-Odd-Eyes…" Rio was shocked still.

Kul Elna – Underground Chamber

"You recruited those psychos into your group?!" Sawatari exclaimed as Genesis revealed who took the Guardians.

"You call them psychos; I call them people with similar interests." Genesis shrugged her shoulders. "Anyway, my work here is done, Yuya is out of the way, the others will eliminate the Guardians, now I can just sit back and watch as my paradise comes to fruition."

"You're plan has one major flaw, Genesis." Reiji called her out.

"Oh, and what flaw is that?" Genesis questioned.

"Your flaw…" Reiji fixed his glasses. "Is the power of our bonds. Our bonds can connect to other worlds, other dimensions. We will bring those six back to our world and we will defeat you!"

"Is that so?" Genesis looked back. "It's true that your bonds did overpower Leo and Eve…but they were just humans. I'm a dragon, a god."

Reiji smirked. "Your scared…I just saw you twitch a little in your eyebrow."

"We're in a desert, it's really dusty." Genesis pointed out. "Be the genius that you are and walk away from this unwinnable battle." Genesis disappeared.

"So, do you have a plan?" Sawatari asked.

"I do, first we must destroy this gate. As long as it is open, Duel Monsters will still continue to rampage the world." Reiji said.

"Okay, then let's smash it up." Sawatari smirked.

"Don't think we'll let you do that." Appearing before Reiji and Sawatari was Scarr, Scout of the Dark World and Zure, Knight of the Dark World.

"Under King Brron's orders, we are tasked for keeping this gate open at all times!" Zure declared.

"If you want to destroy it, you have to defeat us!" Scarr declared. More and more Duel Monsters then came and started to surround Reiji and Sawatari.

"Looks like we got ourselves in a pickle." Sawatari said.

"But we don't have to defeat them all, since those two are the captains, by taking them out…" Reiji said.

"We lower their morale." Sawatari smiled. "Alright, I got Scarr, you take Zure." Sawatari ran to Scarr. "Let's get this show started ugly!" Sawatari activated his Duel Disk.

"We'll add you to the list of casualties for the humans!" Scarr shouted as he activated his Duel Disk.

"Duel!" Sawatari and Scarr declared.

"I'm going first! I summon Demon Soldier (ATK: 1900, LV: 4)!" Scarr summoned a fiend with a sword. "I set one card and end my turn!"

"That's it? I've expected more! My turn! Draw!" Sawatari drew his card. "Using the Scale 1 Abyss Actor – Evil Heel and the Scale 2 Abyss Actor – Wild Hope, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Sawatari set his scale.

"Huh? But you can't Pendulum Summon with that kind of skill?" Scarr was confused.

"Relax, my show just needs someone with a good sense of direction. I Normal Summon Abyss Actor – Dandy Bi-Player (ATK: 700, LV: 2, PS: 8)!" Sawatari summoned an understudy to the field.

"Appear! Circuit of the Theater!" The circuit appeared above Sawatari. "Link Summon! Appear! Link 1! Abyss Actor – Hyper Director (ATK: 800, LNK: 1)!" Sawatari summoned a new Abyss Actor monster.

"I activate Hyper Director's effect! I can target one card in my Pendulum Zone and Special Summon it and then place a different Abyss Actor Pendulum Monster with a different from my deck to my Pendulum Zone! I Special Summon Abyss Actor – Evil Heel (ATK: 3000, LV: 8, PS: 1)!" Sawatari brought down his Evil Heel.

Now, I reset the Pendulum Scale with the Scale 2 Sassy Rookie!" Sawatari set his scale once more.

"You just blew your chance to set up a good scale!" Scarr pointed out.

"Is that so?" Sawatari smiled. "I activate Wilde Hope's Pendulum Effect! Once per turn, I can target one Abyss Actor card in my Pendulum Zone and its Scale becomes 9 until the end of this turn! I change Sassy Rookie's scale from 2 to 9!"

Sassy Rookie (PS: 2→9)

"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters from Levels 3 to 8! The stage is set! Now let the spotlights of the heavens shine down on the dark underworld! Pendulum Summon! Come forth! My monsters!" The portal opened and three monsters came out. "Abyss Actor – Big Star (ATK: 2500, LV: 7, PS: 3)! Abyss Actor – Curtain Raiser (ATK: 1100, LV: 4, PS: 7)! And Abyss Actor – Mellow Madonna (ATK: 1800, LV: 7, PS: 0)!" Sawatari summoned three monsters.

"Appear once more! Circuit of the Theater!" The circuit appeared in above Sawatari. "The summoning conditions are two monsters including a Fiend-type monster! I send Curtain Raiser and Hyper Director in the Link Markers!" The two monsters went to the arrows.

"Actor that makes the greatest shows in existence, walk down the red carpet and be adored by your fans! Link Summon! Appear! Link 2 Abyss Actor – Super Producer (ATK: 1600, LNK: 2)!" Sawatari summoned another Link Monster.

"I activate Big Star's effect! I add one Abyss Script Magic Card from my deck to my hand!" Sawatari added another card to his hand. "I activate the Magic Card: Abyss Script – Producer's Cancellation! When I have an Abyss Actor Link Monster on my field, I can destroy cards on the field equal to its Link!"

"What?!" Scarr got scared.

"Super Producer is Link 2! I destroy the only cards you have on the field!" Super Producer got a cancel stamp and slammed it on Scarr's monster and set card, destroying them.

"Battle! My Abyss Actors! Direct Attack!" Super Producer, Big Star and Mellow Madonna charged in together and all three of them struck Scarr, making him fly into a wall.

Winner: Shingo Sawatari

"Damn…it…all…" Scarr passed out and his body turned into multiple particles of light and disappeared.

"I may have just hurt anyone that uses the Dark World deck, but those monsters don't deserve to be in this world." Sawatari said.

"It's for the best." Reiji fixed his glasses and his eyes laid on Zure. "Now, it's your turn to share your partner's fate."

"Don't get cocky brat." Zure glared at Reiji.

Rio vs Don Thousand

"I activate Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon's effect! By using all of its Overlay Units, I can destroy all cards on the field!" Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon consumed the Overlay Units and unleashed fiery flames that destroyed all the cards on the field except Don Thousand's Pendulum Cards. "Due to their Pendulum Effect, my cards cannot be destroyed by effects that I have activated!"

Rio grunted as the heat started getting to her and she watched poor Sylphine get destroyed along with her set cards.

"And for each card destroyed, Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon gains 200 Attack Points! A total of five cards have been destroyed, so it gains 1000 Attack Points!" Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon roared as it gained more power.

Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon (ATK: 3000→4000, OVU: 2→0)

"You have no cards on the field, and this field is enhanced by the power of Chaos! Be prepared to be eliminated by the monster created by your friend's anger!" Don Thousand shouted.

"Battle! Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon! Direct Attack! Destruction Burst of Fury!" Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon unleashed its attack towards Rio.

"I activate a Magic Card from my Graveyard! Snowman Guard! When I'm attacked directly and I have no cards on my field, I can Special Summon this card as a Monster Card in Defense Position!" A large snowman took the attack.

Snowman Token (DEF: 2000, LV: 4)

"I activate Numeron Barian's other Pendulum Effect! When an Xyz Monster that used a Numeron monster as material battles, if its Attack Points are greater than the opponent's monster's Defense Points, it deals piercing damage!"

A blast of fire pierced through the snowman and it struck Rio hard and she screamed in pain.

Rio LP: 4000→2000

"With this, I end my turn!" Don Thousand finished his turn.

Rio laid on her back as her body was burned by Odd-Eyes Raging Dragons attack. "So…hot…" Rio moaned.

"Such a powerful creature. A being that should not be locked away from its user. Rejoice, Raging Dragon. Your flames will be used to burn down this dystopian world and from the ashes, Genesis Paradise for all of us will be fulfilled.

"U-Urgh…Yuya…" Rio muttered.

Duel Monsters Spirit World – Beach

Black Magician Girl screamed as she crashed on the sand.

Black Magician Girl LP: 1300→0

Winner: Yuya Ryuga

Yuya panted and fell to his knee. "Just walk away, Black Magician Girl." Yuya panted.

"This isn't good. My body feels really weak. What did they do to me back there? It's like all my strength is gone." Yuya thought.

Yuya willed himself back to his feet and he went to the still unconscious Atem and picked him up on his back.

"Wait…" Black Magician Girl sat up.

"Next time…I will have to…" Yuya gave Black Magician Girl one more warning before he walked away with Atem.

Duel Monsters Spirit World – Forest

Yuya placed a blanket over Atem to keep him warm. "Now we got another army chasing after us. I'm sorry, Atem, but it's best we stay put for now."

Yuya sat down next to the campfire and hovered his hand over the flames. "I hope everyone is okay…"

Yuya then took a look around the area. He noticed fresh flowers blooming, a couple of birds resting in the trees, the wind blowing his hair and light from a crescent moon shining down on him.

"It's like they're here with me." Yuya muttered to himself. He imagined Yuzu, Ruri, Rin and Serena around him with their children. "I hope you're all okay…" Yuya laid down on his side and closed his eyes. He needed to get rest if he was to get back home.

United World – Leo Corporation

Serena was sleeping in her room that was provided for her by Reiji. She then heard crying and woke up. "I'm coming, Yusaku. I'm coming…"

Serena rubbed her eyes. "I don't blame Yusaku for crying so much. He misses his father…I miss my husband."

Serena got up from her bed and went to the crib. "Okay, Yusaku. Mommy's here. Let's—" Serena's eyes instantly widened when she saw the crib was empty.

"Yusaku?! Yusaku!" Serena called out. "Yusaku!" Serena ran out of the room. "Yusaku! Where are you?!"

"Serena!" Serena turned to see Yuzu running towards her with tears in her eyes. "Serena, have you seen Yuka, I can't find her!"

"No, Yusaku is gone too!" Serena told her.

"Yukio, hide and seek is over! Get out here right now!" Rin came in running around in a panic.

"Yumiko! Where are you baby?!" Ruri shouted.

"Shh, keep it down, you'll wake the babies."

Yuzu, Ruri, Rin and Serena froze and they looked to see Genesis, holding their children in her arms. "You have such adorable children."

"Yusaku…" Serena was gonna run to Genesis.

"Ah, ah, ah…" Genesis warned as she backed away. "Children are very fragile and your son is asleep in peace."

"Please, just give us back our babies…" Yuzu begged.

"Oh, don't worry, you'll get them back." Genesis said. "I just need something from your four."

"Give me back my daughter now." Ruri growled.

"You'll get her back, when you do exactly what I say." Genesis said.

"Stop it, Genesis! Give me back my son!" Rin was starting to break down.

"Just do…what I say…" Genesis created a portal. "Step through and I'll give you your children back."

The girls didn't hesitate and they all went through the portal and Genesis followed them. "Now, Yuya. Your children or your wives. Which will you save? And which will you sacrifice?"
