My head is pounding and the light is hurting me. I havent even opened my eyes yet.

Movement from beside me in bed. 'oh must be shiori' i thought to myself.

'wait. Shiori is in the hospital' i realize and my eyes snap open and i sit up in bed.

A tuff of green hair peeks out from under the covers and its followed by movement from the owner of said hair.

"Oh. Yonazuki Lucia. Youre awake" he speaks up.

"W.. what are you doing here? In my bed. In my home" i ask confused and i clutch on to my head. The pounding just got worse.

"Well you didnt want me to go. You were so rough last night too" he pouts playfully then grins mischievously.

"I... what happened?" I ask.

"Oh you pulled me into bed and got on top of me. You were so rough that i couldnt do anything at all" he smirks.

'think Lucia. Remember what happened'. I think to myself.

A few hours before*

Once again I'm back at the bike meet. I heard some good racers wil be here tonight and im eager to race some of them.

A familiar green haired individual comes to greet me as normal. He hops on as always. Ive gotten too tired to tell him otherwise at this point.

"Lancer Academy racers are here tonight. Are you racing them?" He asks as he makes himself comfortable behind me.

I just nod and drive the bike over to the center like always and im greeted by Lancer Academy.

"The prince of Shadows! We've heard youre the best racer out here" a guy comes and hands me a cup "its coke dont worry. He winks making the girls they were with swoon.

I accept the cup with hesitancy as Maura hops off.

"I guess im okay. Are you looking to race?" I ask outright.

"Wow. Down to business already i see." He laughs

"I understand you don't race for fun. Whats your price?" He asks

"Name your price" Maura quips. Hes been doing this a lot lately.

"Ooh. That sounds fun. Lets say 50k?" He says with a grin and offers his cup to me for a toast.

I glance at maura and he's quiet just smiling. Something felt off with that smile though but as he didnt refuse i toast the guy.

"You're on" i say and down the coke to get prepped for the race.

He goes off to find a mediator then we both get lined up. I look back to Maura as he didnt hop on like he'd usually do.

He looks confused so i gesture my head for him to come along. Ive never been superstitious but he did say he was my lucky charm and for 50k id need all the luck i can get.

He just waves to me though and didnt move to hop on. I shake my head and rev my bike. 'what was i even thinking wanting maura to ride?'

I line up at the start with the guy beside me on his own bike.

Suddenly white flashes in my eyes "wha.." i mumble and shake my head again. Must be the nerves getting to me.

The course and rules are explained as per usual and soon we're zooming down the streets.

Halfway through i feel my strength leave me.

'whats happening?'

I barely got to the finish line. Finishing 30 seconds after the guy did. Complete defeat for me. I kick the stand of my bike then everything goes black.

Maura POV

Lucia finished really late. He didnt seem himself.

I approach him on his bike as he kicked his kickstand down when suddenly he collapses.

"Lucia!" I quickly catch him as best as i could. The bike taking most his weight thankfully.

"Lucia! Whats wrong?!" I ask worriedly.

The guy from Lancer Academy laughs "hmm i expected the Prince of Shadows to be a better racer. Maybe he wasnt feeling well tonight"

I turn and glare at the guy. The crowd gasping as they see my eyes.

"You! What did you do to Lucia?!" Id charge him if i wasnt holding Lucia.

"Whatever do you mean? All we did was race" he is handed a drink.

Then it clicked. The drink earlier. Although with no evidence i cant point fingers. I toss my phone to a servant in the crowd to pay the guy so we can go.

They pay him and my phone is handed back to me. "Whats your name?" I ask. Scarily calm

"Tendo Kenji at your service" he even does a little bow. I knew he felt sketchy since earlier.

"You are gonna pay for this" i say and im helped by servants to get Lucia at least in a position so i can take him home.

It was a hard ride. Riding with someone unconscious but we made it.

I start to drag Lucia up to his room and i flop him on his bed. "WHEW! At least we got here in one piece. I have to get home to Leon-sama" i mumble to myself as i check the time.

As i turn to go though i feel Lucia grab my hand. I turn to see if hes awake. He wasnt. At least he didnt look like he was but he speaks.

"Please dont go. Everyone around me goes. Please" his muffled voice says

"I.. i have to get back home to Leon-sama" i say.

Silence.

I try to go again but his grip tightens again on my wrist.

"Dont go." He demands this time.

"Let go. I have to go" i say again and this time im met with Lucia tugging me on to the bed and him rolling over to lay on top of me. Effectively pinning me down on my stomach.

"Lucia! Get off youre heavy!" I struggle but no movement comes from him.

"Lucia i have to go home!" I struggle. Kicking my feet and banging my hands on the bed but still nothing.

I sigh softly. 'Guess im not going anywhere tonight then'

Back to present*

Lucia POV.

"My whole body is sore cause of you" maura quips as he sits up. Fixing his clothes that were ruffled from sleep.

"Since im here ill make us breakfast" he winks and exits the room.

"What did i do last night?" I ask myself as i catch my face with my hands.

I pat around and im fully clothed. So was Maura. 'Hes probably just messing with me. Theres no way anything like that would happen'

I get up and brushed my teeth and go out to the kitchen.

I see maura stretching his arms and moving his head around as if hes tired.

After breakfast*

I meet up with the others at the shadowverse arena to battle.

"Oi Lucia! Goodmorning!" Hiro greets with his normal energetic self.

"Goodmorning" i greet him back.

"The others are waiting already lets go!" He leads me off to where the others are.

As soon as i come over Mimori looks confused.

"Lucia-kun? You smell different today" she says making Hiro and Kazuki sniff me.

"He does. Its familiar but i cant quite place it" Hiro says and Mimori also sniffs me a bit. They ponder a bit until Mimori speaks up again.

"Ah! You smell like Maura-kun" catching me off guard

"Yes yes! Its exactly like Maura. But faint. Did you meet earlier for a battle too?" Hiro asks.

"It was a battle alright. But not the kind youre thinking about" Maura appears out of nowhere.

"Just know Yonazuki Lucia, i got in trouble because of you" he says.

"Trouble? Why is that?" Kazuki asks.

"You see, im not allowed to stay out all night but a certain someone didnt let me go home last night" he glances my way.

I cant even defend myself cause I cant remember what happened.

What did i get myself into?

"By the way. Its not pleasurable to ride with someone unconscious. Lets hope the next time youd be fully awake" Maura says with a wink.

The other 3 are speechless. Thy have no idea i have a bike let alone ride. So im pretty sure they have a different understanding. At least its obvious Mimori had a different understanding with how her face is as bright as a tomato now.

What have i gotten myself into?

"Hey Maura whats that?" Hiro asks pointing to Maura's arm.

"Oh just a bit bruised up" maura dismisses it til a glint shows in his eyes

"Lucia was a bit too rough last night when he grabbed me" he shows a bit of bruising on his wrist.

Hiro grabs my hand and sets it next to the bruise "hmm its true. Its your hand Lucia" he says surprised.

Even i was surprised. I really cant remember anything.

"What were you guys doing last night?" Kazuki asks. His curiosity getting the better of him.

"Just had a bit too much fun" Maura says and gestures for everyone to follow him into the arena.

Thank goodness he dropped it there. Lest the situation start to sound more lewd than i think it actually is.
