Chapter 28: Choices of the Espadas
"You don't know yet whom you are dealing with… you wild ugly woman," Charlotte said to Apacci in his usual taunting manner.
"How dare you call me wild and ugly… it's you who is ugly, the very sight of you is disgusting," She taunted back.
Now infuriated Charlotte jumped very high in the sky and began to spin swiftly while coming down towards Apacci. She looked at him and prepared to defend herself but a powerful sword clash backed by the immense force shoved her hard in the ground as she fell from the sky. However, while Charlotte was wondering about her condition, she appeared right behind him, and then once again they pushed each other back with a strong sword clash. Apacci's condition wasn't looking good after hitting the ground hard. There were bruises all over her body including half of her right face while she was clearly looking in pain.
A bit far away from their fight, Halibel was facing both Abirama and Ggio alone. She tried to make them understand but it proved to be futile. As soon as they drew their swords, a powerful and sudden sword strike from the Tres Espada pushed Abirama away with a deep and bloody cut on the right side of his chest. Ggio saw it as an opportunity and he tried to inflict damage to her with his blade but she saved herself using Sonido. However, it didn't stop Ggio and he continued his assault on the Tres Espada while the latter dodged all of his attacks with ease. At last, the Fraccion of Baraggan tried to kick her face but it ended up with him getting shoved into a building by her punch on his face.
Now Halibel tried to approach him with immense momentum but Ggio used Cero at the end moment which disoriented her for some time upon hitting her. He used these moments as an opening and he kicked her belly which pushed her several steps away. Ggio resumed his assault on her but once again she blocked all of his sword swings. However, suddenly a powerful blow from behind shoved her into the building very hard. When the dust and smoke cleared, Halibel noticed that it was Abirama's doing who had returned to the battle.
Meanwhile, the Baraggan was moving swiftly using his Sonido during the battle and he was continuously shooting his Ceros at Sesshomaru from different angles. The Daiyokai was able to dodge most of them using his superior demonic speed while remaining ones he deflected using his Bakusaiga which greatly frustrated the Segunda Espada.
"You will regret underestimating me Demon…" Baraggan spoke while tightly gripping his battle axe in anger.
All of a sudden, everyone felt an immensely powerful spiritual pressure that was coming from the dimensional crack above them in the sky. The Fraccions were especially impacted by that terrible spiritual pressure while Espadas were also worried upon experiencing it. Stark decided to take advantage of the situation and he freed Lilynette from Findorr's grasp without wasting any moment.
"It's one of them," Sesshomaru muttered with his eyes widened upon realizing the gravity of the situation.
"Yes, we must prepare ourselves," Halibel responded.
"What are you talking about Number 3? Who is he?" Stark asked him.
"Demons of hell… they try to abduct the Espadas," she answered.
"Hmm…" Stark responded while looking up worryingly.
Now a greyish-blue and stocky-built Serpent Demon of hell appeared out of that dimensional crack with a scythe in his hand. He was none other but Mizuchi who had arrived there to capture the remaining Espadas.
"He seems really powerful… even more than this white-haired demon," Lilynette mumbled to Stark.
"Yes, be careful from now on," he replied.
"Ha ha ha… today is my lucky day, top three Espadas gathered in one place, great!" Mizuchi spoke while staring at Stark, Baraggan, and Halibel, "I am grateful to you for reviving these Espadas… now step aside and let me capture them," He added.
"What business do you have with us?" Baraggan asked him.
"My lord have ordered me and my fellow generals to capture the Espadas so that we can turn them into even more powerful beings and recruit them in our army as generals," Mizuchi answered him and ended up spitting the plan in his excitement.
"I see… I agree with this," Baraggan replied in a serious tone.
Mizuchi was puzzled by his answer as he expected all Espadas to resist and fight against him. On the other hand, all the Fraccions of Baraggan were also quite surprised by the decision of their Lord.
"Damn! Baraggan…" Stark whispered to himself.
"Baraggan… how could you…?" the Halibel murmured in aggression.
"You are indeed the wisest Espada of all… what's your name?" Mizuchi asked in a respectful manner.
"I am Baraggan… the previous King of the Hueco Mundo," the Segunda Espada replied.
"And I am Mizuchi… no doubt you were a king because only someone like you can understand imperial ambitions such as my lord's… now help me capture the other two Espadas," the infernal demon responded.
"EVERYONE! Let's crush them with full power…" Baraggan ordered his Fraccions.
"Tia… how many can you handle?" Sesshomaru asked her while keeping his sight locked on the enemies.
"You can leave Baraggan on me…" Stark said to Sesshomaru.
"I will settle the score with his Fraccions then," Halibel replied as well.
"Very well…" the Daiyokai responded.
Now Baraggan and his Fraccions prepared themselves to unleash their Resurreccion together.
"Let's begin… Rot, Arrogante!"
"Bite off, Tigre Estoque!"
"Carve upon the water, Pinza Aguda!"
"Scalp, Aguila!"
"Breathe, Calderon!"
"Sparkle, Reina De Rosas!"
"Trample, Mamut!"
The entire place was filled with the smoke and intense release of Baraggan and his Fraccions' spiritual pressures. At this point, Halibel moved back towards her Fraccions in order to protect them and unzipped her jacket while the empty portion of her blade got filled with her dense spirit energy. Meanwhile, Stark merged with Lilynette and spoke as he released his Resurreccion, "Kick about, Los Lobos!"
Now Sesshomaru put his Bakusaiga back into its sheath which slightly surprised everyone and then he started to raise his spiritual pressure to immensely powerful levels. His body was releasing flames of demonic energy while strong winds started to blow in the surroundings. Suddenly his eyes turned red, his face became like a white dog, and his claws transformed into a more ferocious form before he turned into an orb of light and moved too high in the sky while drifting randomly. All of a sudden he came down right over Mizuchi's head. The infernal demon prepared to tackle the Daiyokai but he got pushed back by the sheer force of Sesshomaru's gigantic white dog form. Everyone was terrified to see this form of Sesshomaru but they quickly shifted their focus back to their respective opponents as the Daiyokai dragged Mizuchi far away from there while holding his Scythe in his jaw.
On the other hand, Baraggan was using his Respira technique on Stark but the latter was easily able to dissipate it by using the Cero shots from his guns. Those powerful and swiftly repeating Cero shots were not only destroying the waves of Respira but they were also forcing Baraggan to put his offensive techniques on halt in order to dodge them. Both the Espadas were at a stalemate condition where none of them could come close to the other due to their deadly long-range attacks.
Not so far from them Halibel was surrounded by the six Fraccions of Baraggan and all of them were in their Resurreccion while the Tres Espada hadn't released her Resurreccion yet. Now before any of them could think of something a huge slash of her sword backed by her spirit energy sent Nirgge flying towards the ground with immense speed while his blood got splattered along the way.
"Ola Azul!" She murmured as she released an energy blade projectile towards falling Nirgge which hit him right at the moment he got shoved in the ground and caused an explosion.
Upon the defeat of one of them, all the remaining Fraccions of Baraggan rushed towards her but they had to stop because of the release of her Resurreccion. A big heart-shaped surge of water enclosed her completely while all of them were waiting for her to come out of it in her Resurreccion. However, suddenly the water got directed towards the gigantic Poww in the form of a powerful and destructive surge. He was caught off guard by this move of Halibel and due to his gigantic size he couldn't dodge it either. Eventually, the surge collided with him hard and dragged him away from that place.
Now only four of them had left and thus they decided to be extra careful about being in her range of attack. Ggio signaled Abirama and Findorr to move back in order to attack only with their long-range techniques so now only he and Charlotte were left for the close-ranged battle against Halibel. This situation had become troublesome for her because she was having a melee battle against two opponents while continuously dodging the long-range attacks of two others. Even after fighting effectively against the four of them, she ended up getting a few hits.
All of a sudden she sensed something and she immediately charged her weapon with her Cero as a response to it. The next moment, a Cero beam from Stark's pistol hit Findorr from behind while Halibel shot an arc of her Cero in his direction due to which Findorr ended up getting crushed between the two powerful Ceros. He got engulfed in a fiery explosion before he fell from the sky leaving a trail of smoke behind him with half of his unarmoured body completely scorched and damaged.
With only two of his partners in the battle, Ggio quickly signaled Charlotte and Abirama while rushing toward Halibel with great speed. On the other hand, Nirgge and Poww came back in the battle upon getting recovered from the injuries they sustained.
"There are five of them now… Poww and Nirgge are still far but the other three are going to attack. Max, I can tackle two attacks but what about the fourth?… I will have to take a hit," She whispered to herself while looking at all five of them.
"Misil Diente!" Ggio Vega muttered while shooting the teeth of his helmet as projectiles.
"Devorar Pluma!" Abirama spoke as he shot his steel-like feathers toward Halibel.
"Beautiful Charlotte Chuhlhourne's Final Holy Wonderful Pretty Super Magnum Sexy Sexy Glamorous Cero…!" Charlotte shouted out loud while releasing his Cero towards Halibel but before it could hit her, a tricolor Cero deflected it away from her while she took advantage of this situation and successfully nullified the attacks of Ggio and Abirama.
It didn't take her long to figure out that the tricolour Cero which saved her from Charlotte was shot by none other but her Fraccions. When she looked back, her Fraccions were standing in the sky but all three of them had one of their arm sliced off. The next moment everyone heard the loud and frightening roar of Ayon. Ggio, Abirama, Charlotte, Poww, and Nirgge were terrified upon witnessing the angry giant.
Now Halibel fiercely rushed towards Ggio, Abirama, and Charlotte while Ayon began to pursue Nirgge and Poww. Once Ayon reached Nirgge, the Mammoth Arrancar landed on a building and tried to hit him with the powerful blows of his trunk but they didn't seem to inflict any visible damage on him. The next moment, Ayon grabbed his trunk with his left hand and crushed him along with the building with a powerful punch from his right hand. That hit not only crushed Nirgge but also ripped his trunk off his helmet. Ayon threw his bleeding trunk away and he leaned over him on his fours before he shifted aside all the rubble from the top of Mammoth Arrancar. Nirgge's vision was blurry and he had sustained multiple fractures all over his body. He looked at Ayon one final time before the angry gigantic Hollow scorched him alive with two powerful beams of Ceros which he shot from his eyes.
Poww had almost reached Halibel by now who was dominating all the three Arrancars alone in the battle. However, the gigantic whale Arrancar decided to take care of Ayon before helping his three comrades against the Tres Espada. Now he opened his mouth to huge proportions and began to charge massive green-colored Cero towards the Hollow monster of the Tres Bestias. As soon as Ayon suspected it, he rushed towards the whale Arrancar with immense speed and hit him with an impactful uppercut. Ayon's punch turned Poww's face upward right before he shot the Cero beam. Now the giant Hollow monster grabbed the jaw of the whale Arrancar and forced him to keep his mouth facing towards the sky throughout the Cero beam.
"Ayon," Halibel's voice echoed as she appeared right on top of Poww once the Cero beam was over.
Suddenly the Tres Espada attacked with a powerful Cascada while Ayon forced open the mouth of Poww even wider. The moment that powerful surge of water reached him, Ayon jumped away in order to avoid the immense force of the surge while Poww ended up taking a portion of that surge right into his belly from his open mouth that eventually burst his torso like an overfilled balloon.
Upon witnessing the horrific deaths of their fellow Arrancars, the morale of Ggio, Abirama, and Charlotte got extremely down. They were terrorized by Halibel's strength and Ayon who was standing right behind her.
"Trident!" She muttered while infusing her sword with her spirit energy and then she rushed towards all three of the remaining Fraccions.
Ggio, Abirama, and Charlotte also rushed towards her after sufficiently charging their respective spiritual pressure for a decisive clash.
"Tigre Estoque El Sable," Ggio Vega spoke as he further changed his form into a more powerful and larger one.
"Devorar Erupcion," Abirama Redder said as he split his wings into two pairs for greater maneuverability.
"Rosa Blanca," Charlotte Chuhlhourne murmured while unleashing his ultimate technique that started to create a large dome of dark and thorny bushes.
Now Halibel's first Trident hit broke the canine-like twin swords of Ggio while her second Trident attack inflicted severe damage to Abirama's wings. After sustaining the damage both of them got pushed away from her by Apacci's and Mila Rose's Ceros respectively. Halibel continued to go deeper inside the dome of Charlotte while she was accompanied by the white snakes of Sung-Sun. The snakes didn't let even a single branch come closer to the Tres Espada until she eventually slaughtered the Arrancar with a high-pressure slash using her Trident technique one last time.
Now Ggio and Abirama both retreated to Baraggan in their miserable state while the Segunda Espada was busy fighting against Stark with his battle axe. They were in a mutual agreement of not using their long-range attacks while in the melee battle, Baraggan seemed to be having the upper hand.
On the other hand, the battle of Sesshomaru and Mizuchi proved to be extremely wild and destructive. They had wreaked havoc in the entire area while both of them were significantly exhausted. Now a gigantic red portal opened in the sky in the form of a dimensional crack and then Mizuchi approached Baraggan in order to inform him about their immediate departure.
"Baraggan… we can't stay here anymore," Mizuchi said while moving towards the portal.
"I want to finish this battle," the Segunda Espada replied in a strict tone.
"We are under dimensional restrictions now but we will come for this entire world very soon," the infernal demon replied before he reached closer to the portal.
"Hmm…" Baraggan responded before he left Stark in the middle of the fight and moved towards the portal while his remaining two Fraccions followed him as well.
Apacci, Mila Rose, and Sung-Sun called Ayon back into their body while Sesshomaru also reverted into his normal form and said to Halibel, "We should proceed to fight Aizen now."
"There's no way we will let Halibel-Sama go alone in front of that monster," Mila Rose responded to him in a strict tone.
"Look, we are grateful that you have revived us back to life but understand one thing, none can ever protect her the way we do," Apacci also spoke to him in a harsh manner.
Now Halibel glared at both of them and then Lilynette's voice echoed from Stark's pistol, "We all know who just got beaten to a pulp by Baraggan's Fraccions."
"Hah! Better than being taken as a hostage," Apacci replied in a taunting manner after which Lilynette began to whine while Stark was trying to shut her up.
"I think it would be best if the three of you leave to the shop of Lord Sesshomaru's Shinigami friends… Roka is also there," Halibel replied to her.
"Aargh! She again called him lord," Apacci mumbled in a very low voice.
"But why Halibel-Sama? Don't you have faith in our capability?" Mila Rose asked her in a sad tone.
"I won't say anything… she will do what is best for all of us," Sung-Sun mumbled to herself while looking towards them.
"I can't afford to lose any of you again," Halibel muttered in a soft tone upon listening to which they looked at her with emotional eyes.
"Don't worry… she does believe in your potential but the thing is… she knows Aizen's power very well as she has faced him head-on," Stark also spoke to make them understand.
Once they were convinced, Sesshomaru started to move swiftly in the direction of Aizen while both Halibel and Stark followed him.
"Teach that bastard a good lesson," Halibel's Fraccions shouted from behind.
"We will for sure," Lilynette's voice echoed from Stark's pistol before they disappeared.
