Hey there, I hope you all are having a good time. I know I haven't update this story in almost a year, let me try see how things work out for this one. I hope you all like this chapter.

Once the captain asked the question Leorio looked annoyed at that.

''Woah! What's with these questions? Besides this isn't a test.'' Said Leorio.

''I want to become an adventure so I can understand my father work is like.'' Said Gon.

''Hey, not so fast brat. Who told you to answer. Don't you have any team spirit?" Asked Leorio.

''I´m giving my reason, what's wrong with that?" Asked Gon.

''I agree with this guy. I prefer to not answer your unpleasant question rather than lie to you. I think lying is more shameful than being greedy.'' Said Kurapika.

The captain looked serious at those three and gave an explanation.

''Listen up, every year almost a million people go to Orario in the hope of become great adventures. Just 5% manage to succeed and make a name for themselves, so if you want to become a great adventurer you have to prove that you´re worthy.'' Said the captain.

''Well, I guess you have a point.'' Said Kurapika.

''Uh! You´re now agreeing with him?" Asked Leorio.

''Yes, he now has a good point. He is showing some sympathy and want to help us with our future.'' Said Kurapika.

Leorio looked annoyed at that as Gon just keep smiling.

''The kid already gave me an answer, what about you two?" Asked the captain.

''You took the kid answer?" Asked Leorio.

''He was honest, and I took that. If you all want to me to keep sailing, you all to Orario I want some answers. Give me a good reason of why you all want to be adventures?" Asked the captain.

''If you want to know…I´m the last Kurta.'' Said Kurapika.

The whole group just look at Kurapika in confusion.

''A Kurta?" Asked Gon.

''A Kurta is a species that resides in the forest. We are well known for our special scarlet eyes than when awaken gives us immense magical boost.'' Said Kurapika.

''Oh so you´re the only survive of the massacre?" Asked the captain.

''Yes, for those who don't know five years ago the entire Kurta specie was wiped out by the terrorist gang called the Phantom Troupe. I was out of village when they did that, I wish to become an adventure to get stronger and learn more about the Phantom Troupe so I can kill them all and I can avenge my race.'' Said Kurapika all serious.

The group was a bit in shock, the captain was a bit unfazed while Gon was in shock.

''The Phantom Troupe?" Asked Gon.

''They are a terrorist group. They are ranked as a S Class hunt, they have killed hundreds or maybe even thousands adventurer. They have a crime list that is beyond unbelievable. However, I remembered reading about the Kurta massacre and that was beyond insanity.'' Said the captain.

''Yes, I trained a lot to get to the point that a familia may accept me. I will take any way so I can take out the Phantom Troupe.' Said Kurapika.

''So, you´re motivate by revenge?" Asked Leorio.

''Yes.'' Said Kurapika.

''that's a bit dark, no wonder you look like you never had any fun.' Said Leorio a bit non chalan and Kurapika growls at this.

''And what about you Leorio? What is your is reason to become an adventure?" Asked Gon.

''Oh me? Easy for the money.'' Said Leorio.

''Uh?" Asked Gon.

''Money is everything that everyone strikes for. I will have a big mansion! A room full of booze! A harem full of hot babes who will love no me no matter what!'' Said Leorio all drunk with his thoughts.

''Your ideas for becoming an adventurer are disgusting. You´re truly rotten Leorio.'' Said Kurapika.

The answer made Leorio mad, he was already not liking how Kurapika was a buzz kill so he decided to shut him up for good.

''that's it! You want me to feel bad for you? Life doesn't work like that. Let's go to the deck. I will end the Kurta specie.'' Said Leorio.

''Take that back!'' Said Kurapika all serious.

''No, come with me.'' Said Leorio.

''Right behind you.'' Said Kurapika.

''Hey! I´m not finished! You don't get to do what you please in my ship!'' Scream the captain.

''Let them fight. ´´If you want o someone start by finding out what makes hem mad´´. My aunt Mito often said this phrase, I liked it a lot. From my point of view, both have good reasons to be angry. Its better to let them fight.'' Said Gon.

''I see.'' Said the captain.

As Gon and the captain were talking a crewmember went towards the two.

''Captain! The storm is getting worse! What should we do?" Asked the crewmember.

At the Deck

While the crew work tirelessly to make sure that the ship didn't flip and kill everyone, Kurapika and Leorio were standing in the middle with no fear at all. The two just stare at each other's with anger.

''Present me with your excuse and I'll accept them, Leorio.'' Said Kurapika.

''Begin to pardon, Kurapika! I have no intention of taken back what I said!'' Said Leorio.

The two soon took off their weapons. Leorio took out a little pocketknife while Kurapika took out some wooden swords.

''let's go!'' Scream Kurapika.

''I´m waiting for you!'' Scream Leorio.

Before they could start fighting each other, the mast from the ship snapped because of the storm.

CRASH

''AAAAAH!'' Scream the crew who were shocked on what would happen.

Soon a poor crew member got dragged by the ropes of the ships and he was heading towards the ocean. With that level of water and how strong the waves were going he was going to die on the spot.

''Catso!'' Scream the whole crew.

The who crew tried to catch up with Catso but nobody was able to catching him. Leorio and Kurapika stopped their fight and went to help Catso, however they weren't fast enough.

Gon however was younger and really fast, he was able to surpass the two in just a few seconds.

''What!'' Scream Kurapika and Leorio seeing the kid running towards Catso.

The group saw Gon jumping towards the ocean, he grabbed Catso legs, that would be the end of Gon and Catso. However, Leorio and Kurapika worked together to bring the two back to the deck. The motion was a success, and nobody got hurt.

''Oh look! They are ok.''

''Good job kid!''

'Thanks a lot!''

''I´ve banged my nose.'' Said Gon annoyed.

While he was checking his nose, he saw both Kurapika and Leorio looking in shock.

''Are you crazy or what? The ocean is wild and the currents and extremely strong, and you…you well, its really dangerous!'' Said Kurapika.

''If we hadn't caught your feet, it´d have been over for you for sure! You´d have drowned for sure!'' Said Leorio.

''Yes maybe, but you caught me, didn't you. Thanks for that.'' Said Gon.

The two older men saw his answer and felt a little bit nervous, but in the end they liked it.

'Forgive my rudeness Leorio.'' Said Kurapika apologizing to Leorio.

''Hm, I don't want something between us. I apologize for everything I said, let's start over, ok.'' Said Leorio.

''All is forgiven.'' Said Kurapika with a smile.

The captain just laughed at that, he soon walked towards the trio in the deck making sure they were all ok.

''Listen! I know a great adventurer when I see. I can tell you three are going places. Here, take this for saving my man.'' Said the captain tossing some apples.

''Thanks!'' Said Gon catching an apple.

''I will take anything free.'' Said Leorio an apple.

''I appreciate your generosity.'' Said Kurapika.

''You all better enjoy this. When you all get in Orario will be extremely hard.'' Said the captain.

''Well, so we will get stronger.'' Said Gon.

''Tell me you two, did this experience gave you a new view on being an adventurer.'' Said the captain.

The two older men look at each other and then smile.

''I still want to get stronger to avenge my clan.'' Said Kurapika.

''And I want to get money, but I won't be so duchy.'' Said Leorio.

Kurapika just smiled at that, he wouldn't discriminate someone for having a different idea of being an adventure than him.

''I guess one little accident can change our perspective.'' Said Kurapika with a smile.

''Its ok, I guess this kid is either super crazy or he knows what his doing.'' Said Gon.

Gon just smiled and laughed at that. He was happy to see his new friends ok and he wanted to make sure that nothing bad was going to be.

''Do you guys know what kind of familia you all want to be a part of it?" Asked Gon.

''I don't know, maybe i will have to start small until I get a transfer to a better familia.'' Said Kurapika.

''Me too. I don't know what kind of familia take me, I will accept it and I will do my best.'' Said Leorio.

Then Gon had an idea and he shouted out to his friends.

''Listen! I have an idea!'' Said Gon.

''What is it?" Asked Leorio.

''Why don't we all join a familia together?" Asked Gon.

The duo looked at that and they didn't know what to do.

''I don't know. I feel that this would mess up with my plans.'' Said Kurapika.

''Yes, we might not be around that much Gon.'' Said Leorio.

''I don't mind, I feel that we all work well together, and we can get stronger together. Even if we have different goals, we at least be friends.'' Said Gon.

''What if we don't want to follow the same familia as you?" Asked Leorio.

''I don't mind, we just have to see what happens.'' Said Gon.

''I see.'' Said Leorio.

''It will be interesting. Besides, it will be good to explore Orario with someone by our side. Better than be alone.'' Said Kurapika.

Gon then talked with the duo, he saw that they need some help and he explain some reason.

''Kurapika you want to be stronger to avenge your species. Leorio you want to get richer. I just want at the moment to discover why my dad love this job so much that he left me. We can all work together and see what we can do to help each other.'' Said Gon.

The two didn't know what to say at first, but Gon had a point. Any help was better than none. Kurapika could have an emotional help and Leorio could have a good buddy to hang out.

''Well…I guess this could work.'' Said Kurapika.

''Yes, but we have all to agree on the same familia. We will all vote where we want to join.'' Said Leorio.

''Fine.'' Said Gon.

The captain saw that and just laughed, he felt that those three were going to be great adventures. Things were going to be fun in the upcoming years for Oratio.

''Kids! We are going to arrive in Orario in less than a day! Make sure to be at good shape to arrive in the city.'' Said the captain.

''Alright! We are going to arrive in Orario. Hear those guys! We are going to be adventurers!'' Said Gon all excited.

The two were just smiling at that. Maybe this kid was meant to meet them, things were going to be really interesting when they become adventurers and become followers of a god or goddess.

So yes, this is a bit short, but I had fun. Let's see if you want to see more in the upcoming future. We will see Gon, Kurapika and Leorio working around in Orario and have some fun.
