Hello everyone, I'm sorry for the late chapter, I'll tell you guys why at the end of the chapter, but just read it and enjoy!
"Now finish him off!" Evan shouted, pointing at the player across from him who had an empty field. On his field, Jack's Knight, and Tribe-Infecting Virus both moved in front of his opponent and attacked him at the same time, ending their short duel.
"How…?"

As soon as the holograms of his monsters faded, Evan immediately took out his new PDA from his pocket, which had a notification. When Evan had found his PDA the night of his defeat to Jaden he realised how easy it could be to get the card packs at the shop with this kind of system.
Name – Evan Richards
Year – First Year
Dorm – Obelisk Blue
DP – 24,367
When he realised that he could win currency by winning duels, he went out to go and challenge as much as people as he could. Remembering that he had somewhere to be today, he pocketed his PDA and gave a side glance towards his opponent before turning away and walking into the school. He wanted to stop by the card shop today to spend all his new DP. He had a test to do today after all.
As he walked closer to the card shop, he was pleasantly surprised to find someone he recognised along the way.
"Jasmine, right?" He called out from behind her, which made her stop and turn around quickly, adopting an annoyed face before dropping as she spotted him.
"Oh, it's you Evan… Jeez, I thought you were one of those creeps who keep asking me out all day." She stated as her steps fell in synch with the tall boy.
"Oh yeah… You four girls are supposed to be like the hottest girls in school, right? From that online ranking?" He asked curiously as she gained an irk mark.
"Unfortunately. Normally, I would love to get called hot any day of the week, but when you get non-stop confessions, it gets annoying…" She explained as he nodded along. "You're not doing too bad yourself, you know? You were ranked third of hottest guys on the school."
"That's surprising… Didn't think I'd even be on that list to be honest. But who's above me?" He asked curiously, making her smirk.
"Why you wanna know? Jealous that you're not first?"
"Yeah."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
.
.
"Well? Who's above me?" Evan asked after their moment of silence.
"The tennis team head, Harrington Rosewood and the top duelist at the academy, Zane Truesdale." She explained, surprising him.
"Truesdale, huh?"
'The same one Pegasus wanted to scout…'
"Do you know him?"
"Who?"
"Zane."
He blanched for a second, wondering if they had before. "No, I don't think he knows me, but my boss wanted to sponsor him for when he went pro."
She hummed for a second as she looked ahead. "Who's your boss?"
"…" He was silent, wondering if he should really tell her before he sighed. "…It's Pegasus…"
"Pegasus, huh?" It didn't seem to register in her mind as a moment later she gained a shocked look on her face and pointed at him. "Wait, Maximillion Pegasus himself is your boss?! Why the hell doesn't anybody know?!" She yelled, making him cover his ears with his fingers, not wanting to get scolded.
"It's more like he's my guardian."
"Oh, that makes sense. Yeah right it does! Stop covering your ears!"
"No. You're annoying."
"WHAT?!"
He sighed, wondering if that was something he should not have said.
He walked into the card shop with a noticeable limp along with a pained expression.
'I can't believe she kicked my shin.'
"You did compare her to a gremlin, my lord." Arcana Knight Joker said with a smile and sweat drop as he watched the young boy walk into the card shop.
'I don't wanna hear about it anymore. She already talked my ear off; I can't manage you as well.
Since it was the day of exams, a fleet of ships and airplanes cruised through the ocean, each one filled to the brim with people and new, rare cards. But the vessels themselves would be the same ones one would normally use for warfare.
The captain and leader of the whole fleet was standing at the very front of the foremost boat and was smiling as he looked at the rapidly approaching Duel Academy Island. "Well, everyone, it's been quite a long journey, but it's all about to pay off soon. We will arrive at our destination with the payload all intact. Full speed ahead everyone, this is the moment everyone's been waiting for. The moment Duel Academy gets their rare new cards."
It was the time for the written exams. All first-year students were in the large classroom with their heads down and rapidly writing on their test papers. Evan in particular was one of the students that stood out. He was simply sitting with his head down and with earbuds in his ears. It was 20 minutes into the exam and Evan had already finished, as he felt that it wasn't all that hard.
He was trying to take a nap, but since everyone's rapid writing was somehow louder than the music playing his ears, it seemed that the world wasn't allowing him to. It paid slightly though, when the door slammed open, making everyone stop writing and turn to the door, where a slightly dishevelled Jaden Yuki was standing there, grinning like an idiot.
"Sorry everyone, I over-slept!" He yelled out, bothering everyone except one.
"Hey Slacker, keep it down. Unlike you some of us are actually trying to pass." Chazz pointed out to the slifer, who was smiling.
"Hey, I try to pass, it just doesn't always end up that way." Jaden piped back as he rubbed the back of his head with a grin.
"Oh Jaden, why don't you come down here and get your exam?" Professor Banner, one of their teachers called out to Jaden, who seemed to finally realise that it was a test going on and went down the steps to get his exam papers.
"Be there in a jiff." Jaden exclaimed, heading down the stairs.
'He better be, we're fifteen minutes into this. He'll be lucky if he can even finish it. But why does Evan have his head down? Did he finish already? No that's impossible…' Alexis thought curiously as she stared at Evan's lowered head.
'Look at him, if only he applied himself, he'd be a great duelist. But I wonder what that guy's doing…' Bastion thought as he looked at Evan.
'Good to see you again Jaden. I hope that you'll be able to pass this test. If you could study the way you duelled, you'd be better than me.' Evan thought to himself as he stared at Jaden out of the corner of his eyes. Then, he looked at Alexis, who had turned back to her test. 'Speaking of duels, I might have to ask Dr. Crowler for a favour.'
Evan was taking a walk after the written test was done, looking for his dorm coordinator, Dr. Crowler. During his search, he looked through the multiple cards that he pulled from the card shop earlier today and also the day he went there with Euliya and her friends.
Trap Hole, Mirror Force, Monster Reborn, One Day of Peace and two copies of Allure of Darkness.
'Monster Reborn and Allure of Darkness might be good additions to my deck, but I don't know what to do with this one card…' He thought as he stared at the monster card in his hand, Jinzo. 'I got this with Euliya and her friends, but I really don't know what to do with it, as it won't fit the theme of any of my decks.'
Just as he thought that, however, he finally found the man he was looking for. He saw Dr. Crowler standing in front of Chazz and his two lackies wearing a trench coat. What he said was quite interesting, so he kept listening.
"I know a way that will make us all look better and it starts by you being Jaden's opponent for his field test." Dr, Crowler said, which Evan smiled at.
"But we're not in the same dorm, they won't let us." Chazz countered, confused by the whole scenario.
"Oh, you just leave that to me, Chazz. This is all so we can get Jaden kicked out of Duel Academy!" Crowler started to laugh maniacally, making Chazz smile. Suddenly, his smile dropped as he saw Evan standing right behind Crowler at his full height.
Crowler saw that his face dropped and stopped laughing. "What's wrong? Oh no, is Sheppard behind me?"
"No, but he will be." Evan said menacingly as Crowler finally turned around and suddenly got a fearful expression on his face as he saw the giant boy standing right behind him with a dangerous smirk. "We won't have to worry about me telling on you, Doctor. Only if you do a favour for me as well."
"O-Oh Evan, my boy! Of course, I can do you a favour! W-What is it?" Crowler asked, fearful for his job.
"I want you to set me up a match as well."
"O-Oh really? O-Okay, with who?"
Evan smirked with a dangerous gleam in his eyes, making Crowler and the lackies quiver.
"The only woman in this academy in this academy probably capable of giving me a challenge." He bent down so his face was in front of Crowler's. "I want Alexis Rhodes on the other side of that duel field, otherwise Sheppard will have to hear about all this…" He said menacingly as even Chazz flinched at the deranged expression on his face.
As they all watched him walk away, the three students behind Dr. Crowler all thought the same thing unknowingly.
'I don't wanna get on his bad side. Fucking scary asshole…'
It was now time for the practical exams for the first-year students and everyone was giving their best. Evan himself was sat in a lonely seat at the very top of the arena, with no students sitting near him because of his annoyed expression on his face and angry aura.
As he sat there, no one came to talk to him, not even his duel spirits, as they were the target of his anger right now. Saying that, footsteps were heard near him, and he raised an eyebrow before he turned his head and saw the familiar head of pink hair that he's come to call his best friend.
"What are you sitting here, moping about for?" Euliya asked as she stood in front of Evan, who looked at her with a blank expression.
'Asmodeus, have you finished your search yet? I'm losing my patience with you all.' Evan thought to his second Darklord spirit, Asmodeus, who was hiding within his deck, but he still got the same response every time.
"Not yet, sire. I'm sorry but I didn't want to tell you this yet, but… I think the monsters we are all looking for are enclosed in a higher plane of existence, sire. I think their card forms are more advance then your realm can handle…" Asmodeus said within his head, which made him annoyed.
'I still want you to find them, Asmodeus! I don't care if they're in heaven or hell or whatever! I need those spirits found! Do you understand, Sin of Lust?!' Evan thought angrily, which he immediately regretted, but as long as his message got across, then it didn't matter how he did it.
"Y-Yes Sire, I u-understand! S-Sorry, Sire…" Asmodeus said as he disappeared, disconnecting him from Evan's mental link.
As Evan thought about that interaction, he got even more annoyed. His new annoyance showed on his face, which made Euliya regret asking, thinking she was the cause. She gave a quick apology, starting to walk away, but she was stopped when Evan grabbed her hand unexpectedly. Before Euliya could even react, Evan pulled her hand and brought face to face with him before he turned her around and sat her down on his lap.
The situation didn't recognize itself in her head as she sat there silently. But she final realised what happened when Evan started to pat her head like you would a cat. "E-Evan-san?!" Her face exploded and steamed with a blush. "W-What-!
"Euliya." Just the one word made her quiet down. "I'm really annoyed right now, so please humour me with this just this once." He said softly into her ear, making her blush even harder, making her akin to a tomato.
They watched all the duels within the arena, with them sitting like that. Just as Evan thought would happen as they watched the duels; Mindy lost her duel while Jasmine won hers. He turned to Euliya, realising that he didn't remember if she duelled or not.
"Did you duel already, Euliya?"
"Y-Yes, E-Evan-san. I was one of the first ones. H-Have you?" She asked with a blush as she looked at Evan out of the corner of her eye.
"No, not yet."
"Oh? Well, I think this one with Jaden is supposed to be the last one." She said as they both looked at the duel between Jaden and Chazz.
They watched as Chazz summoned XYZ Dragon Cannon start to use its ability to destroy Jaden's Winged Kuriboh before he used Transcendent Wings to change his kuriboh into Winged Kuriboh LV10 and negate the effect. Then, both Winged Kuriboh LV10 and VWXYZ Dragon Catapult Cannon exploded before Chazz took damage to his life points before Jaden summoned Elemental HERO Avian and finished the duel.
"I know he beat you in a duel, but Yuki-san really is a smart player. Too bad that he's not smart outside of dueling." Euliya said as she finally relaxed within his lap. She further relaxed within the hold that he had of her after he wrapped his arms around his waist and nodded his head in the crane of her neck, making her blush.
After the duel ended and Chancellor Sheppard gave his congratulations, the field was emptied completely, making many students want to leave as they thought it was done. Across from Evan was Alexis, who was worried that her duel might not even happen.
"Students, I wouldn't be leaving just yet, cause we still have one duel left, probably the most important one!" Dr. Crowler's voice called out from the arena speakers, making every student confused.
"What? What is happening?" Syrus called out to no one but himself.
"Why wasn't my duel the most important?" Jaden asked himself as he walked up to Syrus.
"I think I know what's going to be happening." Jasmine called out, a few seats away from the two boys.
"Really?" Syrus asked her, blushing when he saw her.
"Yeah, I think that Alexis' duel is gonna be this one. She hasn't had hers yet, and I think I know who she's duelling as well."
….
"Well, I think I should get going now, Euliya." Evan said as he picked Euliya up without a problem and stood up himself, making Euliya gain a blank face.
"Oh, really?" Euliya said, a comical blank expression on her face as she watched him walk away before she blushed to herself. 'I won't tell him that I liked that. Probably not anytime soon at least.'
"Please give a warm welcome to the field, our Obelisk Queen, Alexis Rhodes!" After Crowler exclaimed that to the crowd of students, Alexis walked out from one of the tunnels on the side of the arena, looking stone-faced. She reached the duel arena and stood on her respective side of the field and looked stoically at the entrance on the other side of the arena.
"Now, welcome her challenger, the ever-so tall, and ever-so mysterious, Evan Richards!" At Evan's introduction, a lot of people asked themselves who he was, but the people who knew him just stared at the tunnel where the boy was starting to walk through.
As he walked through, everyone could see the stoic look on his face, but only one person knew how he was really feeling inside. That was Euliya, who looked worriedly at Alexis. She could tell that Evan was starting to get excited about the upcoming duel, and no-one was going to stop him.
"Wait, hold on. I thought Obelisk Boy's and Girl's couldn't duel in this exam." Alexis asked Crowler, who looked nervous.
"W-Well…"
"I asked for it." Evan piped up to her, which surprised everyone who heard it. "Ever since I heard of you dueling Jaden, I've been wanting to see how you would fair up against me, someone who lost against him. I might not like winning all that much, but I do have a competitive streak a mile wide, you know?" He explained, making Alexis surprised.
"Why ask for me? And when did you lose to Jaden?"
"For the first one, I want to duel anyone even remotely strong in this academy, and it's mostly to evaluate myself and you guys, I guess. I've been tasked with the mission of scouting Duel Academy for prospective pro duellists by my employer. For your second one, I believe it was right after your loss to Jaden. Although the deck I duelled him with isn't the one I'm gonna be using in this one…" He explained as he turned on his duel disk.
"And what deck are you going to grace me with, almighty scout?" Alexis asked sarcastically, as she also turned on her duel disk.
"The same I used to beat Euliya with, Alexis-san. You deserve that much at least."
Crowler, sensing the tension, decided to start the duel before it got too late. "Alright you two, are you ready? Duel!"
DUEL
ALEXIS – 4000
EVAN – 4000
"Ladies first, Alexis-san." Evan called out as he drew his five cards.
"What a gentleman. Very well…"
"Duel!"
"Duel."
ALEXIS – 6 CARDS
"I'll start this duel off by summoning my Etoile Cyber in attack position!"
Etoile Cyber – (LV4) – WARRIOR – EARTH – (1200/1600)
She looked at the rest of the cards in her hand briefly before looking up and Evan and smirking. "I'll end my turn by placing two cards facing down. Let's see how good those Darklord cards of yours really are, Evan."
EVAN – 6 CARDS
"Very well. That was a standard play there Alexis-san. I'll start my turn by playing my spell card Banishment of the Darklords which allows me to search for one Darklord card from my deck and add it to my hand." He grabbed his deck out of his disk and split in half before looking through the halves quickly. He found the card he was looking for before he put his deck back after shuffling. "I'm sure you remember this little guy, Alexis-san. I summon Darklord Ukoback in defence position. He allows me to send on Darklord card from my deck to my graveyard."
A card shot out from his deck into his awaiting hand and Evan looked at it with a smile before discarding it to the graveyard.
Darklord Ukoback – (LV3) – FAIRY – DARK – (700/1000)
"And before I continue, those face-down cards of yours are scaring me, so I'm going to destroy them with my spell card Heavy Storm!" The two cards showed themselves, revealing Double Passe and Hallowed Life Barrier. "I think you know what happens next then? I use the spell card Darklord Contact to special summon the Darklord card I sent to my graveyard. Revive, Darklord Nasten!"
Darklord Nasten – (LV7) – FAIRY – DARK – (2600/2600)
A bull-like monster – with wings the size of a bus and a red halo atop its head – appeared on the field. The giant bulls glare was directed straight at Alexis, ignoring her singular monster. The mere sight of the monster induced fear and worry in every student.
"What are those monsters?" Syrus asked himself, worried for Alexis.
"Those are Evan's Darklord cards. From what I've heard, they aren't in circulation around the world yet, so he's the only one with them." Euliya explained as she walked up to trio of people she knew.
"Wow, really? I wish I had rare cards like those…" Syrus sulked to himself, not noticing that Jaden was intensely staring at the field.
"Pegasus, huh?" Jasmine mused to herself.
"What? What about Pegasus?" Syrus asked Jasmine, who was surprised that she that out loud.
"From what Evan told me, Pegasus is his boss of sorts. He must have gotten those cards from Pegasus himself instead of through card packs like the rest of us." Jasmine explained, shocking Syrus and Euliya.
"Woah, Pegasus himself?! Evan must be amazing then…"
'Pegasus is his boss? Why didn't he ever tell me that?' Euliya thought to herself as she turned back to the duel, watching Evan with a sad look on her face. 'I'm your friend, right Evan..?'
Evan broke their nerves by smiling and shrugging his shoulders casually. "I can't do much more, since he's in defence position, so I'll just set two cards face-down and I'll pass it to you, Beautiful."
"Real flattering." She eye rolled as she drew her card for turn.
ALEXIS – 4 CARDS
"Fine, I'll start this turn by summoning my Cyber Tutu in attack position."
Cyber Tutu – (LV3) – WARRIOR – EARTH – (1000/800)
"Next, I'll be attacking your Darklord Ukoback with my Etoile Cyber!" The busty woman jumped into the air and brought her leg down onto Ukoback, splitting it in half and reducing it to pixels, getting no reaction. "I don't know if you know this, but my Cyber Tutu's effect is that when all your monsters are a higher attack than her, then she can attack you directly."
"I did know that."
"Oh." She blanched for a second before shaking her head. "Never mind then. Since your Darklord Nasten has a higher attack then her, she'll attack you directly. Go Tutu!"
The girl wearing a tutu ran towards Evan and slipped past Nasten, who tried to attack her. She reached before Evan and bent down before gracefully lifting her leg and kicking Evan in the face. The leg went through him, but his life-points took a small hit.
ALEXIS – 4000
EVAN – 3000
Everyone in the arena watching them was silent as they all stared at the boy, who had no reaction at all to the damage taken. He then lifted his hands and started to clap slowly. "I must applaud your actions Alexis-san. It was akin to a cornered animal, of course, but it was good play, nonetheless." Her expression soured, staring at the boy across from her with annoyance.
"Cornered animals are sometimes more dangerous than the animal hunting them, you know." She countered quickly, making Evan smile with an emotion Alexis didn't like, but also didn't recognize it on his face. "I'll place one card face-down and end my turn." Evan drew his next card silently.
EVAN – 5 CARDS
Evan looked at the card for a moment before smiling at her. "I think I'll end this duel this turn, Alexis-san." He tilted his neck, getting the satisfying pop he was looking for. "First, I'll play Pot of Greed which allows me to draw two cards." He drew the two cards and looked at them before smiling at one of them.
'Good to see you, Lucifer.'
"It is good to see you too, My Lord."
"That was the first puzzle piece, and the card I just drew is the second. This turn, you'll be finished. I'll first use my Darklord Nasten's effect. By paying 1000 life-points, I can use any one Darklord spell or trap card in my graveyard, and I think I'll choose my Darklord Contact to say hello again to my Darklord Ukoback, which once again allows me to send one card from my deck to my graveyard." He discarded the card he wanted quickly.
Darklord Ukoback – (LV3) – FAIRY – DARK – (700/1000)
ALEXIS – 4000
EVAN – 2000
"But the little guy won't be staying here for long, as I tribute these two fallen angels to bring forth the ultimate monster! My final puzzle piece! Answer thy call, fallen one, as you have been chosen to destroy the world that you fell to from the divine realm! Come forth, Darklord Morningstar!" He slammed the card down on his duel disk.
All was silent as a few moments passed and nothing happened before a giant magic circle had appeared under both Nasten and Ukoback. Both monsters kneeled on one knee and bowed before they started to sink into the magic circle. A few students were starting to feel the pressure that Evan's new monster was giving off, even though it wasn't even on the field yet. Once both monsters were enveloped into the magic circle, everything went quiet for a few moments before a humming sound was heard from the circle before it started to glow. Before everyone's eyes, the new monster started to appear from within the magic circle.
The first thing they saw was a giant red halo, and then a massive head of icy white hair. Then the head of the monster came out, revealing the skin to be a pale-white tone. His eyes were closed, but many students started to feel even more pressure. Then came the body, which adored a pitch-black armour with a giant red orb right in the middle of both his chest and in front of his groin. Next came the legs of the being, also adorned with black armour.
Once the giant monster was fully out of the circle, everything was still silent. Then, the monster opened his eyes, revealing crimson red irises before a humongous set of six wings were unfurled from his back, pitch-black. Then a giant sword and shield appeared in both his hands, both black in colour. The pressure of the monster sent chills down every student's spines, but none of that seemed to affect Evan, as he just bowed before the being with a smile.
DARKLORD MORNINGSTAR – (LV11) – FAIRY – DARK – (3000/3000)
"W-What is that monster?" Alexis asked herself, feeling like she had to kneel before the being in front of her.
"Do you know the story of the bible, Alexis-san?" Evan asked out of nowhere to her, which surprised her.
"I'm not a devout Christian but I have read a few passages. Why do you ask?"
Evan smiled, more to himself than anything. "The Book of Isiah, chapter fourteen. My monster has a few other names but one of the most popular of them is the name within that book. The true name of my monster is that of Lucifer Morningstar! The devil, or in true words, the very first fallen angel!"
"How quaint."
"Very."
"What can he do, Evan-san?"
"I'll show you. Since my Morningstar was tribute summoned, I can now special summon monsters according to the number of effect monsters that you control. Not from just anywhere either. I can summon them from my hand or directly from my deck! And since you have two, I'm sure you know what that means." He explained as he smirked at the expression of fear that she gained. He moved his hand to his deck before two cards popped out and into his awaiting hand.
"Using my Darklord Morningstar's effect, I special summon two of Lucifer's favourite companions! Come forth with the power of your master, Darklord Tezcatlipoca and Darklord Ixchel!" A white glow appeared on the field before two monsters appeared from within it, both to the side of the Morningstar.
Darklord Tezcatlipoca was a giant monster – almost the size of Morningstar – with four wings: two that resembled a dragon's wings with feathers on the bottom, and two that resembled serpents with tribal markings. The face of the monster reminded many of old Aztec deities, which they wouldn't be wrong.
Darklord Tezcatlipoca – (LV9) – FAIRY – DARK – (2800/2100)
The other monster, Darklord Ixchel was a giant woman that could be considered beautiful. She wore revealing black armour and had spiked purple hair and adorned four pitch-black wings with red undertones. She also had a tired look on her face but was smirking at the fellow deity beside her.
Darklord Ixchel – (LV10) – FAIRY – DARK – (2500/2900)
"What is that monster?!" Syrus yelled out as he watched the giant monster appear on the field before they watched Evan special summon two more monsters just from his summon.
"From what he said, that's his ace card… No wonder… It's an extraordinarily strong card, too strong I think." Euliya said with a sweat-drop, nervous about the power she could feel from the monster.
"That monster alone could take on Seto Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragon easily… That's a busted monster…" Jasmine said nervously.
"That deck is so cool! I wanna duel him again!" Jaden yelled out in excitement as he stared at the duel going on in front of him.
"I think Evan's won this…" Bastion said, getting everyone's attention. "Alexis doesn't seem like she has a card to play, and I think that face-down of hers is a bluff…"
"Surely she still has a chance, right?" Jasmine asked, desperate for her friend to win.
"…" No-one said anything after that.
The students in the crowd were cheering, but Alexis was completely silent. She looked at Evan with a sour expression on her face before speaking. "I'm sure you've heard this before, but your deck is busted."
"Quite." He smirked at her before turning to the monsters on his side of the field. "You know what to do, guys." They all nodded to him, Morningstar with a smile. "First, I'll attack your Cyber Tutu with my Darklord Ixchel!" The woman smiled at Alexis, seeming almost apologetic, before she stretched her hand out and a magic circle appeared before a giant fireball appeared and head straight for the girl, destroying her completely.
ALEXIS – 2500
EVAN – 2000
"Now, my Darklord Tezcatlipoca will attack your Etoile Cyber!" The giant Aztec monster flew to the voluptuous girl at high speed and brought his hand with claws forward and slashed the girl in multiple pieces before she was reduced to pixels.
ALEXIS – 900
EVAN – 2000
"Before you end this, Evan-san. I'd like to say that this duel was kind of fun." Alexis said, stopping Evan.
He gave her a closed eye smile, which also made her smile. "It was fun for me as well, Alexis-san. Now, Lucifer, attack her and end this bout!"
The giant fallen angel smiled and nodded before pointing the tip of his sword at her, another magic circle appearing before a swirling mass of red energy appeared. It stayed there for a few moments, growing in size, before it was shot straight at her, reducing her life-points to zero.

"I think it's about time I reveal myself here, Sheppard-boy." The man himself, Maximillion Pegasus said to the principal of Duel Academy while swirling a wine glass.
The two were watching the duel between Evan and Alexis from a glass booth at the top of the arena. Both were sitting next to each other in chairs that looked like thrones, Pegasus' especially looks like one a royal would sit on.
"Of course, Pegasus-sama. I can have someone guide you there if you'd wish." Sheppard said to Pegasus with a gentle smile.
"No, it's okay Sheppard-boy, I shall guide myself there. I've got to see my favourite boy in the world, and I wouldn't want to be late now, would I?" Pegasus said as he sat his wine glass on the small table between them and stood up, walking out of the room calmly, making Sheppard smile.
"I get nervous when he's around… Oh well… Let's see how Pegasus' favourite player truly plays…"
As everyone watched the duel end, all was silent. Everyone watched as Alexis fell on one leg to support herself before the silence was broken by a single clap. That single clap turned into claps and cheers from all the students.
"Way to go guys!"
"Alexis, you were amazing!"
"Evan, you're so hot!"
Evan sweat drop as he heard that last one before he looked at Alexis, who was looking down at the floor, with what looked a frustrated look on her face.
"Are you frustrated, Alexis?" Alexis' head turned up quickly, surprised that Evan was suddenly in front of her and speaking to her. "If you are, then get better. Get better and find me again. I'll gladly accept any duel you ask of me at the drop of a hat." He said as he bent down and extended his hand to her with a gentle smile on his face.
She smiled to herself for a moment before taking his hand and lifting herself up from the floor. They both turned to the audience and waved, making them cheer even louder. Alexis had a tear come out of the corner of her eyes, but she didn't let it drop as she smiled to every student.
"What a great duel, you two!" Crowler exclaimed as he appeared back on the stage, speaking into his microphone. "Everybody give a round of applause for your two favourite Obelisk's!"
The students did just that, cheering even louder than before, making Evan nervous as he pulled the hoodie from his back and over his head, effectively hiding his face from the crowd.
"He's nervous!"
"It's okay Evan!"
"Come on Evan, let us see your face!"
Evan started to walk off the field, ignoring all the calls and cheers of the students before he was stopped by Crowler.
"One more thing everyone! For the final event of today, because of that wonderful duel between our magnifique Obelisk Blue's, we have an incredibly special guest with us today!" He said, confusing everyone in the arena. "Everyone, please welcome to the stage, Senior Maximillion Pegasus himself!"
Everything was silent for a few moments. No-one having anything to say and no one making any noise. All of that was interrupted when they all heard footsteps erupting from one of the tunnels within the arena. The footsteps sounded out for a moment before a shadowy figure emerged from the tunnel. Everyone instantly recognized the iconic red suit and stylish, white-coloured hair.
All the students were shell-shocked as the man himself, Pegasus, stepped onto the arena floor and started walking to the arena. As he walked the silence surrounding the arena faded as everyone started to cheer.
"It's really him!"
"Oh my god, it's him!"
"Pegasus, please sign my cards!"
Pegasus ignored all the students as he walked to the field, staring straight at Evan, making him flinch and start to back away. Pegasus reached the duel field, taking the microphone from Crowler with a smile when he offered it.
"Hello, everyone~! What a wonderful duel that was, right?" The students cheered in response. "Ooh~ a lively bunch." He walked over to Alexis, who was still shell-shocked that Maximillion Pegasus himself was right in front of her. "That was good showing, Alexis-chan~! Few can put up that good of a fight to my Evan-boy that easily."
"""Yours?"""
"What the hell are you doing here, Old Man?!" Evan yelled out to Pegasus, who gained a nervous look on his face.
"I was meant to tell you about this on our last call, but you hung up on me~!" Pegasus all but whined to Evan.
The interaction between the two of them confused every student there, even the teachers. All of them looked at the two's interaction and was wondering the same thing.
"Um… Pegasus-sama… H-How do you and Evan know each other?" Crowler asked the man, who smiled and pulled an unwilling Evan into a side-hug.
"H-he's my boss!" Evan said, struggling to get out of the surprisingly strong grip of the man.
"Oh, don't be like that, Evan-boy~! We know each other enough! Crowler-boy, was it?" Crowler nodded to the man, shocked that Evan said he was employed under Pegasus himself. "While he is employed under me as a scout, we also have another relationship. He's my son."

"""WHAT?!"""
"Oh, boy…"
And that's the end! For a quick explanation, I've gotten too distracted lately, and that's all there is. I've been trying to Platinum Yakuza Kiwami and I've been rewatching the GX anime as well, so I've basically had no time to write. I finished this chapter at school, but I hope you all enjoy and keep reading!
