Chapter Sixty-Four

"Lis…" Bixlow pulled Lisanna back from the street and held his comm to his ear. He leaned down closer to hers. "The Solarium crew landed and is with Lucy and Natsu."

"That's good." She smiled and turned to start walking, but he wrapped an arm around his waist and pulled her back. She glanced up at him and he slowly shook his head, peering out across the street. She followed his line of sight and held her breath. Militants came out from the shadows and she stiffened.

They approached the intersection of the street and looked around before splitting into three groups. Bixlow pulled Lisanna even closer and pressed his back to the building and they held their breaths. The militants stalked by, none of them bothering to look into the shadows but looking in the places where the draconics would normally hide. Two from the division closest to them stopped and one lit up a cigarette and took a long pull before handing it to the other.

"We shouldn't have stopped for this."

"I ain't sharing my cigs with the whole group man." The first guy nodded and the second took his cigarette back and took another long pull. "I'm glad the big boss pulled his monsters out; but I ain't happy looking for these frickin' aliens."

"Yeah. Me neither. But the leader said he saw human women with the aliens. And that the big boss is willing to let whoever finds them; have first pick. Can you imagine? Fresh women."

"I don't want none of those women. They've probably been passed around by the aliens. I don't want sloppy seconds from aliens. What if they have alien STDs?"

Lisanna's anger was evident and Bixlow tightened his hand over her mouth and hooked a leg around hers as she vibrated against him. He narrowed his eyes and his wooden toys silently rose in the air. He moved his head ever so slightly forward and the toys zoomed out of the shadows. Two hit straight on to the head of each guy, while the other two went for the guts. They dropped to the ground and the toys flew back to Bixlow's side. Bixlow tensed; waiting for the other militants to react. But they never looked back to see what the sounds were. Either because they hadn't heard them; or they were worried it was something they didn't want to see.

Bixlow released Lisanna and she hurried over to the fallen militants and started to go through their pockets. She removed all of their weapons and stood up and gave each one a solid kick between their legs. Bixlow cringed but didn't comment. They had been tracking and getting ahead of various militant and raider groups since they found the group of survivors and got them to Laxus.

They'd gotten back to the location where they had met the survivors right as the group of militants had calmed down from finding the box gone and turning to head back to their base location. But they hadn't made it. Instead they'd met with another group and been given different orders. He watched as Lisanna shivered when a strong wind blew through the alley and into the street. Dew had started forming around everything including on Lisanna's clothing. He reached into the pack he wore under his cloak and pulled out something. He settled it over her shoulders and she looked up at him confused.

"Extra cloak." He said and she pulled it close and smiled at him. He took the lead and headed the way they had come from. They were heading deeper and deeper into the heart of the city. Lisanna looked around, hating how hollow everything was. Busted out glass from nearly every window, doors laying askew where they'd been kicked in or torn off for whatever means, and twisted metal in random places. She shook her head and started down another alley when a sound made her stop. It was soft, but it came again. It sounded small, like a crying kitten or puppy.

She squatted lower and slowly made her way down the alley. She looked around an overturned dumpster and saw a doorway. The door was propped up but couldn't be fully closed. She looked behind her and didn't see Bixlow but she also wondered what the soft sound was. She was about to move forward when a man leapt out of the opposite building's door and kicked the door open. Lisanna gasped; her hands covering her mouth as a scream came from inside the building the man had entered. He pulled out a woman who held a bundle in her arms. The soft cries she'd heard coming from it.

"You think you could run from me? Hide my son from me?" The man backhanded the woman and she and her baby hit the opposite wall and she slid down it. Blood came from her mouth and her arms curled tight around her baby. Lisanna shifted, looking at the size of the guy. He was huge, but she thought she could take him down if she could get the right position. She shifted and waited. The woman slowly curled around her baby while shaking her head.

"Answer me woman! What do you think you were doing?" He pulled his leg back preparing to kick her and Lisanna moved. She grabbed his leg and harshly twisted it; hearing his knee crack as she over torqued it. He screamed and swung wildly as he started to fall, a blow hitting Lisanna in the upper body and she grunted as she was knocked backwards. She felt something piercing her left shoulder from the back and she looked over her shoulder and swore. A piece of mangled doorjamb was twisted and sticking out. She debated for a heart beat about staying still; because she knew removing it would cause her to bleed out; but at the same time; she could hear the sound of running feet.

She pulled forward, biting her lip as the metal came out. She struggled to her feet and stumbled to the woman. She pulled her up and started to urge her down the alley way. The woman kept looking over her shoulder and then at Lisanna. She was stumbling and Lisanna stopped and looked at her.

"Do you want him or whoever is coming to help him….get your son?" At her words the woman blinked at her and she shook her head. "Then quit fucking around. We have to move."

She started pulling on her again and she followed with surer steps than before. Lisanna looked around the corner at the end of the alley and hurried out and started to cross the road. "Stop!"

She turned and looked over her shoulder. Two men were running down the alley and she turned, and with one arm pulled off the cloak and wrapped it around the woman and she looked up at Lisanna. "Run that way…yell for Bixlow."

"Bic…"

"Bix-low." Lisanna repeated and pushed the woman down the way she'd seen him go. "Run!"

The woman jumped at Lisanna's shout and she started to shuffle as fast as she could. Lisanna turned towards the two men and took a deep breath. She grimaced as pain flared up around her shoulder. She blinked as it looked like everything had gone grayscale. She shook her head and groaned as everything looked too bright, even for the early morning hours.

One of the the new men grabbed her arm and she twisted; ducking down and spinning while lifting her leg up. It caught him in the stomach and he doubled over and released her arm. She spun back, bringing both arms down over his back. She swore as pain ran down her arm and back, the muscles spasming. She heard the sound of heaving breathing, as if the second guy was behind her and she jerked the opposite way while punching out with her left arm. It caught the second guy, but not square so he merely jerked backwards, rubbing his shoulder.

"You bitch." He snarled and lunged and she jumped backwards, crossing her arms over her chest and kicking outward. It caught him in the chin and he jerked backwards and fell over his partner. She landed, winded and feeling woozy, and she ended up on her rear end, breathing hard. She could hear steps, multiple and at the same time; various smells washed over her. Making her want to gag. She turned her head and saw men spilling out of the building at the far end of the alley and coming towards her; some had stopped to pick the first man up off of the ground.

She tried to push up but her left arm gave out and she nearly faceplaneted. She pushed up with her right arm and got to her feet. She leaned forward; breathing hard. The smells relented and she turned and started to run the opposite way she'd told the woman to go. But after a few feet; a group of men and women came out of the shadows. She pulled up short and turned and saw more people encircling her. She looked around and saw one opening. A large broken sign was laying at an angle against a building, and close to it was a fire escape. She wobbled on her feet and most of the men leaned that way to grab for her.

Instead she pushed her body in the opposite direction and ran as fast as she could. She held her left arm close and dodged as women and men tried to grab her. She ran up the sign and leapt off, kicking against the building's wall and landed on her side on the fire escape. The lower ladder torn off and laying down on the ground. Everyone got under her swearing and talking over each other.

She laid there, breathing hard and rolled over to her uninjured side. She pushed up with her good arm and got to her knees and struggled to stand up. She leaned against the side of the wall, looking down. Men and women were glaring at her. She smiled and started to make her way to the steps leading upwards.

"There's an open door. We can get her on another floor!" Someone shouted and most started to run and she hurried, pulling herself up faster. The fire escape shook and she looked down through the metal bars and stared. People had climbed out on to it from a few floors below her. She hurried even more.

She hit the roof and gasped. She felt sweat running down her neck and back and she pulled herself over the ledge with her good arm and headed the other side. But when she looked down she realized that there was no fire escape on that side and the next building was to far for her to jump. She ran to the back and it was the same. She heard people coming from the roof access door and saw a hand reaching for the ledge from the fire escape. She ran to the front of the building and looked down. She couldn't see Bixlow on the street and she turned and ran to the side of the building and climbed up on the ledge. The building behind was far way but not as far as the one to the side. If she got enough speed, maybe she could make the jump.

"Don't!" A commanding voice broke the silence and she froze, her body going cold. She turned her head and saw a man with long dark hair glaring at her.

"Mard Geer." She guessed and he tilted his head back a bit as if surprised. He nodded briefly and looked her up and down.

"So…your one of the humans who had the misfortune of running into those fools from the Alliance."

"Fairy Tail!" Lisanna screamed, feeling warmth spreading up from her feet and gradually chasing the chill from her legs and body. "I am…a member…of Fairy Tail!"

She struggled to get the words out. Pain and cold making it hard. He sneered. "Fairy Tail? You are proud to be a part of some pathetic guild of mismatched lineages?"

"Fairy Tail is not pathetic!" She shouted and spat at him. "Fairy Tail is home. It's hope! It's Family!"

"They have truly brainwashed you." He said and waved off the people who were coming out onto the roof behind him. Lisanna shook her head. He tsked softly like a parent trying to calm a child. "Don't you see? They don't care. If they did; they wouldn't let you be out here. Getting wounded. Cold. They would bring you in, and surround you with protectors stronger than you."

"I'm strong enough. I can protect them!" She choked on the pain and struggled to breathe. She shook her head. "And Fairy Tail will always care! We care about the innocents! We care about the abused! And we will die fighting you."

"You won't die." Mard Geer shook his head and held his hands out. "But your sister, Mirajean…she will. Do you think that anyone from the Alliance will let someone who harbors demons in their body, survive once their use is done? No. They'll kill her. And your brother; ever the protector; will try to stop them. And they'll kill him too. Leaving you alone with the people who butchered your family."

"No!" Lisanna shook her head, laughter bubbling out as the shaking caused her hair to fall into her eyes. She looked at him. "That's the best you can do? Going after Mirajean?"

"Why are you laughing?" He couldn't hide the anger from his tone. She shook her head.

"Demon Mira has been around long before Pandora's Box ever came to light." She laughed and shook her head. "My big sis; she's the meanest, baddest, most brutal demon all on her own. If anyone tried to kill her; she'd kill them before dying easily. Your an idiot thinking she's weak."

"You insolent…"

"Yeah. I'm insolent. Helps me fit in with Fairy Tail." She cut him off and smiled. Holding her arms out and trying not to flinch as pain raced through her shoulder.. "They accept me. Magicless me! Insolent me. Worthless me. Whatever you want to call me. They accept me. And if you kill me, they will avenge me."

"They are few and soon to be erased. There will be no avenging of anyone."

"You will never, and I mean never, erase Fairy Tail! We will live on in the whispers of revolution! We will live on in the hearts of those who defy you! We will live on in the memories of everyone we have ever helped! Fairy Tail will never DIE!"

He threw his arm but she'd seen the micro-telltale signs and she'd taken off running. She ran, pushing herself faster than she has ever ran in her life. She could hear Elfman's laughter in her mind. Tears fell from her eyes as she ran, her body angling to prepare for the jump. She saw Mirajean's smile in her mind as she braced for the start of the jump. She felt all of her muscles tense; her knees started to bend.

She could hear Lucy and Natsu's laughter at the Sakura Festival. The sound of Levy screaming at Gajeel and him chortling in response. She thought about Cana, Kinana, Erza, Laxus, Evergreen and Bixlow. As her feet left the concrete of the ledge; she thought about Bixlow. He was going to be so pissed. She felt bad for the humans siding with Mard Geer. He wouldn't care if they had nothing to do with her dying if she didn't make the other building; or if she survived and was caught and tortured. He was protective. Especially since Laxus and Mira had both told him to watch over her.

She felt heat erupt from her chest; and she gasped. She must have been hit by something. She had tuned out everything to focus on the jump; but now heard all of the murmurs of the people and the snarl of Mard Geer. Then she heard it; one voice clearer than the others.

"She has wings."

She opened her eyes and sure enough; she did have wings. Her arms were gone and in their place were bright pink wings. She flapped them and wheeled her legs to keep moving her forward towards the other building. That's when she looked down and saw that her legs were also different. They were bird legs; large bird legs, but bird legs nonetheless. She felt wind ruffle her feathers and it was instinct that took over. She flapped and brought her legs up. She let the air lift her and she turned out and saw that everything was coming into sharper focus.

Mard Geer was glowering at her, his hands clenched. His expression was mutinous and she tensed, waiting. Sure enough he threw his hand out; a black ball of energy shot towards her. She dodged and it flew over her, missing by inches. He threw another one and she pulled up and then dove, spiraling as she fell towards the ground. She heard everyone gasping as she moved; missing each shot from their leader. He leapt up onto the ledge as she pulled level and started to coast down the street.

She heard him scream and could hear the whistling in the air of something coming towards her. She didn't turn around, worried if she did it would cause her to fall out of the air as she was mostly running on instinct and had no idea how she was actually flying. Suddenly several objects wheezed past her and she heard a large explosion as well as getting hit by the hot air that spread out from it. It threw off her momentum and she tumbled towards the ground. She twisted; feeling heat throughout her body and grunted as she landed on all fours. Only when she opened her eyes, she didn't see her hands, or the pink wings. Instead she had yellow fur with purple and white spots. She looked over her shoulder and saw that her whole body was furry and shaped wrong. She even had a freakin' tail!

"Lisanna?" Bixlow's voice called out her name and she turned and started to run. She saw him running down the street towards her; but she also saw the glinting light behind him. She sprang, the feline haunches propelling her forcefully into him at the same time the crack rang out. She and him hit the ground as the bullet just barely missed them both. He threw his hand out and several wooden toys flew in the direction of the glint and soon they heard screaming. She rolled off of him and he started to move down an empty street. She loped after him while listening for anything that seemed dangerous. Her whiskers, she had mother frickin' whiskers-holy shit; twitched and she went still. She cocked her head to the side and disappeared down a street.

Bixlow spun on his heel realizing that he didn't feel Lisanna's presence and saw that he was alone. He kept moving, hating every step he took. He rounded a corner and grunted as a large wooden beam hit him across his chest, sending him to his back. He gasped and shook his head.

"This dork is dressed up like a knight." A human male said and he narrowed his eyes as he stood over him. His friend walked around the other side of Bixlow's prone form and looked him over.

"I think the big boss will be happy to have an alien hostage."

"Agreed. Especially since he was throwing his black spheres around." The first said and shook his head. "Wouldn't want to be you."

"Forget that." Bixlow muttered. "I wouldn't want to be you."

"And why not?" The man asked and lifted the beam while sharing a look at his cohort. Bixlow inhaled deeply which must have angered the them because the guy started to lift the beam up and down to prepare to attack.

"Lisanna has always been a feisty kitty…and now she has actual claws." He said and the man stopped toying with the beam while he and his friend shared a look of confusion.

"Who is Lisanna?"

"She is." Bixlow unfurled his tongue and it pointed to his right and they looked and opened to their mouths to scream; but no sound came. Lisanna leapt from the shadows; her powerful jaws closed around the throat of the man holding the beam, while her back claws sliced the throat of the other man; nearly decapitating him. She and the first man landed on the ground and she huffed and snuffed as she worked on ripping his throat out. Once she had achieved that adjective she spat it out and turned and walked over to Bixlow and blinked down at him.

"Figured I'd just lay here and catch the early morning sky color changes." He joked as he started to get up. He motioned for her to follow and soon they were at his Magi-Hover. He opened the panel and motioned for her to enter and she shook her head, looking at her paws.

"Think about your human form." He said and she looked up at him before closing her eyes. She opened them and realized she was at a different perspective. She looked down and her hands were human again…then she froze. Her hands going to cover her body. She was buck naked. She looked up at Bixlow her expression turning stormy. But his head was turned the other way and he held his cloak out. She grabbed it and wrapped up and jumped into the Magi-Hover and was yelling at Alfie to get her clothes…any clothes."

Bixlow chuckled and shook his head as he stepped in and shut the panel and set the autopilot on. He walked up to the front of the craft and pressed several icons to connect a communication window up.

"Mira?" She sat up and looked around confused. She saw the communication screen still open but Laxus was snoring on the other side. She giggled and whispered goodbye before shutting off the screen and rolling out of bed. She opened the door and stared at Evergreen and Habiki who looked tensed. She felt her shoulders rolling back and every nerve going on edge.

"We are about to dock to the Blue Pegasus Guild Station. Elfman is waiting with the others." Evergreen stated calmly.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to oversleep."

"Don't worry about it." Habiki shook his head. "I think it's fair that you and Evergreen got to rest as much as possible considering how much you both have been doing lately."

"You too?" She asked and Evergreen shrugged and looked away with a blush running up her neck. Mirajean grinned and started to run her fingers through her hair as they walked and she worked to braid it, tying it with a piece of ribbon from her shirt. It had seen better days but it was still thick enough to provide some warmth and protection from most elements. The jointed the others and waited for the docking to complete and the connection to the main Guild Station to be secured. Alfie hummed on the comms of the Strauss siblings and Evergreen; as if she was uneasy.

"It's going to be okay. No matter what." Ren promised and shoved his hands in his front pockets, hunching forward like he was unbothered. Eve was worrying his lip but as the door started to open he straightened and released his lip and smoothed out his pants.

The door opened and Mira and Elfman stared at the short individual in front of them. They assumed it was General Bob; a male of pale gray skin with his hair buzzed close to his head. He wore glasses that made his face look cut in half. He was on the rounder side and had thin white and blue wings on his back. He wore a toga like outfit; and no shoes. They shared a look and managed to keep their mouths shut. Evergreen had merely raised a brow.

"Boys I'm so glad…" He caught sight of the three guests and stopped mid-sentence. "You didn't mention guests were coming."

"We decided that with the loss of the Fairy Tail Guild Station; bringing some members here was logical." Habiki said as he stepped out of their shuttle and onto the Guild Station he had called home longer than he could remember. It sparkled with cleanliness just like he remembered, but something about it also seemed dull. Mirajean followed behind him.

"Hello General. I'm Mirajean Strauss." She held her hand out and the male stared at it. She pulled it back and smiled brightly. "Sorry. I'm used to handshakes still. Forgive me if that was rude."

"Oh…of course not dear child." He shook his head and held his hand out and she toolkit and they shook. "I was just surprised by your loveliness."

"Thank you. This is my baby brother Elfman. And I'm sure you are aware of Evergreen's identity as she is part of the Thunder Legion." Mirajean said motioning at the other two. Bob looked up at Elfman and swallowed and then smiled at him. When he looked at Evergreen he felt a chill run over him.

"I see. So wonderful. It's been a long trip; come and let us share a meal." He said and started to lead the way. Eve, Ren and Habiki shared a look but didn't say anything. The other three followed; careful of where they stepped and looked. They didn't see anyone else.

"Is it always so quiet?" Mirajean asked when they came to a set of large doors.

"Compared to Fairy Tail, I'm sure this is quiet." Bob smiled genuinely and pushed the doors open. Mira's mouth nearly fell open. Tables were filled with males and females of all looks and races; but they were all dressed to the nines. She felt extraordinarily out of place in her jeans, tank top and old overskirt.

Men started to get up and introduce themselves, trying to grab her and Evergreen's hands. She kept politely trying to explain she wasn't interested while Evergreen merely glowered. Elfman was being besieged by the females; many of whom who were squeezing his biceps or running their hands along his back and shoulders. Evergreen started to reach for her glasses when Bob cleared his throat and everyone returned to their seats.

"I do apologize for that. It's been a while since we've had guests."

"Couldn't tell." Elfman looked uneasy and straightened his shoulders and back.

"You are too kind." Bob motioned for them to join him at the table. As soon as they sat down, Mira felt her comm vibrate and saw a message from Alfie. She shifted, seeing Elfman and Evergreen also glance at their comms before acting normal. Bob held his hand up and several people came from behind a closed door carrying trays. Food was set out and they stared. They all recognized the food but no one moved until Bob clapped his hands.

"Please, don't be shy. My boys coming back is always a reason to celebrate!"

"Thank you." Mira said and picked up some food and put it on her plate and slowly started to cut into it. Her brother followed suit but Evergreen didn't move. She was sitting wit her arms crossed.

"Don't take it personally. I'm trying to watch my figure. Can't be to eager to lose what I've worked so hard to achieve."

"Oh, I understand. I once was young and a paradigm of physical fitness. But love found me and then fed me." Bob giggled and shook his head. "But I also learned to love this body too."

"Self love is important." Elfman acknowledged and moved the food around on his plate. "I smell some tarroki root from this dish, don't I?"

"You have a fine nose to smell that. It's a special touch the cook puts in." Bob patted his arm and looked around the table. Eve, Habiki and Ren hadn't moved to touch anything. Bob's expression muted; unease taking over him. "What is wrong boys?"

"You put drugs in the food and drink." Eve said and the room went quiet. Bob's eyes widened. He watched as Elfman and Mirajean kept cutting the food up and moving it around.

"Of course not." His voice quivered.

"There are members of Grimoire Heart the next corridor over, armed." Ren sneered and jerked his head to the right and many of his guildmates shifted uneasily.

"Boys why…"

"We don't know why." Habiki's voice grew husky and he shook his head. He stood up, placing his napkin on his empty plate. "But we won't stand for this."

"Habiki!" General Bob started to rise but the doors to the dining hall were forced open and many of the girls screamed and just as many of the males shifted to shield those around them.

"You had one job you bumbling fool! And you couldn't even do that. Something about you tipped them off." A man said as he strolled in and Elfman shifted. He was a tall man and everyone shirked away from him. His presence was cold and foreboding. Mira gritted her teeth and clenched the napkin in her left hand.

"Hades…" General Bob stood up but he was cut off when Hades threw his arms out.

"Silence! You wouldn't willing send a team to capture the Celestial Mage. You didn't force them to come back when their mission was compromised. You are even sharing your table with the dregs of Fairy Tail and tainted beings."

"Shut up!" Elfman snarled, jumping up and slamming his fists onto the table top, making it groan. Hades' eyes widened. "Don't you ever disrespect Fairy Tail in that tone! Fairy Tail is a Guild that respected all free life and should be respected by all in turn!"

"You insolent fool!" Hades flicked his wrist and a blade went flying towards Elfman. He shifted to jump, but Mira and jumped to her feet; sending her chair skidding backwards and reached out. Her left hand and arm shifted and caught the blade. Everyone went silent and Hades' eyes narrowed. She crushed the blade in her demonic hand and then shook her arm until it returned to normal.

"Never…try…to hurt…my family." She bit out slowly, her tone low and everyone near her shivered. Cold and dark energy rolled off of her and there was a fire raging in her eyes.

"That looked like Demon Takeover."

"It is." Mirajean said and walked around the table, her body and clothes shifting and melding until she was in her full demon appearance. She lifted her chin, sneering at Hades. "And if you try to hurt my brother; or anyone else on this guild station, I'm going to return it ten fold to you."

"You think I'm scared of you?"

"No." She smiled mockingly. "You are too stupid to know when you are out powered."

"Out powered?" He scoffed. "I am Hades! General of the Grimoire Heart Guild Station. I am the most powerful and cunning General in the Alliance!"

Elfman started laughing and Hades' eyes moved to him and he started rolling his head on his shoulders. Everyone gasped and pointed as he started to grow. General Bob's expression changed to horrified awe. He stopped mutating and threw his head back and roared. Demon Mira's face split into a dark grin.

"Oh…you angered Elfman. That's bad news for you." She chided gently, mockingly.

"Beast Takeover." Hades said and looked between them.

"Don't forget me." He turned to his right, surprised to see Evergreen flittering there. She whipped off her glasses and he closed his eyes; he knew she could turn people to stone. He swung out and she dodged. He grunted as Elfman landed several punches before Hades opened his eyes and leapt for him. Only Evergreen was there; glasses off and eyes closed. She started to open them and he turned his head; only to be smacked in the face by Mirajean's tail.

"You disrespected Fairy Tail!" Elfman shouted.

"You destroyed the Fairy Tail Guild Station." Evergreen's snarl echoed and people covered their mouths and shook their heads.

"You threatened innocent people and blackmailed General Bob; who was General Makarov's friend." Mirajean appeared and punched him. He hit the ground and growled for his men to attack. But Habiki, Eve and Ren were there, moving quickly and fighting with their all. Elfman grabbed Hades by the shoulders and lifted him. Hades snarled and his teeth lengthened and he started to reach out to bite into his neck, but Mirajean grabbed his head from behind and used her tail as a brace. She closed her eyes and everyone watched as purple tentacles appeared from her arms and latched onto his face and stated to force his eyes open. Evergreen flew up and stared down at him.

"Mercy." General Bob gasped as Hades slowly turned to stone, his scream of outrage quieting the room. Once he was fully encased in stone; Mirajean released him and turned and stared at the few men of his still standing.

"Submit or perish." Her voice was deep and her expression dark. The men shared a look and then dropped down. Habiki, breathing hard looked over at her. She smirked and he shook his head.

"You couldn't have done that sooner?"

"We wanted to get a few hits in fairly." Evergreen answered for Mira who giggled as she changed back to her normal appearance. Elfman also shrank back down and rolled his shoulders and rubbed his hands.

"Wish I could have done more."

"Elfman…" Mira looked at him and he shrugged. "He supported the murder of the people who saved us and accepted us. The fact he is still breathing; isn't fair."

"I get that sentiment." Evergreen said and patted his arm. She looked over at General Bob. "So…what are you going to do General? Protect Hades and his men; thus supporting Mard Geer? Or shine up your backbone and join the last of Fairy Tail on Earthland fighting to end this?"

"There is no question." General Bob said, his voice soft and Ren shook his head and Eve's chin trembled. "We fight."

"What?" A female asked looking horrified. General Bob looked over at her.

"We will fight. Inaction is supporting Mard Geer…and I will not allow any others to die because I have been too scared to stand up."

"But…"

"You don't have to be in front of Mard Geer." Eve said and stepped forward. "Supporting our tech and ensuring there are avenues for retreating can be the help you provide."

"Or helping Wendy with the injured. She's one healer in the middle of a war." Mirajean said and Habiki nodded and pointed at her.

"What she said. There is more that we can do if you are too scared to get your hands dirty."

"Why fight the inevitable?" A male asked and they looked over at him.

"Mard Geer killed Ichiya when he blew up the Guild Station. Did you all forget he was there as a diplomat between guilds? Don't you care?" Several people started to cry at his words and General Bob looked even more downfallen.

"It isn't that we aren't hurt. But we don't want to die pointlessly either." A blonde said and shook her head.

"Jenny, dying to try and end what will no doubt be universal butchery isn't pointless. What is pointless is letting the fear stop you from doing anything while complaining and hating the results." Eve shook his head. "We have a chance if we work together."

"A chance? Against Mard Geer? Are you listening to yourself?" Jenny asked. "He is the killer of worlds!"

"And Fairy Tail is the saver of worlds!" Mirajean screamed. Everyone stiffened. "Even if they only saved one person; even if it was just Alfie retaining their history or culture….they saved worlds! They died for our world and every world that hasn't been targeted yet."

"We have a chance." Evergreen snarled and flew over to Jenny and made the blonde look up at her. "Lucy, the Celestial Mage is growing stronger every day and is willing to risk everything to ensure no one else suffers like her…losing her family over and over again. Natsu and the other Dragis there are growing stronger, watching her and the other humans put it all on the line; encouraging them to grow stronger to match them. Even Lisanna, the one Strauss sibling without magic; is fighting and spying without being a baby about it. She doesn't hide away or worry; she does something."

"We have seen them in action." Ren said and looked at Jenny whose face was pale and coated in tears. "Lucy even befriended hybrid draconics; to the point they fought against Mard Geer. Think about it. She can turn even dangerous monsters into allies."

"Its a ploy then…"

"Mard Geer tried to kill them because he couldn't control them." Evergreen objected and Jenny shook her head. General Bob cleared his throat.

"If you cannot help; or will not help; I will not force you. But you will need to leave. We will be taking the Guild Station to Earthland."

"General!" Several people cried out but he held up his hands.

"These children are right. We cannot keep hiding and wailing about the injustices if we don't do more. I will not force you all or think badly of those who leave. But this Guild Station will go and those that stay will do whatever they can to fight or support."

"Thank you." Mirajean's voice quivered and she inhaled deeply.

"No. Thank you all. The youth of today is giving me hope for tomorrow." He said and turned and walked over to the captured Grimoire Heart members. "And you all…well…you all are going to learn what happens those who hurt my children."

The floors shifted, lowering them out of sight and even the stone Hades disappeared. Bob walked out of the dining room and Habiki, Ren and Eve looked over at the Fairy Tail trio, shrugging as they had no idea what was happening.

"So he is the man Gramps used to say he was." Evergreen said and smiled. "Glad for that. Now, lets get back on the shuttle and head out. I want to get back to the rest. And it will take too long to wait for people to get off of the Guild Station safely and then head for the planet."

"That's a good point." Ren nodded. He pulled out his comm, feeling all eyes on them. "Yo Alfie. Have you managed to get the shuttle stocked?"

"Yes." Alfie said. "Thank you for granting me access to your Guild Station. Your AI has been most hospitable."

"Thank you." He said and jerked his head.

"Ren!" Jenny shouted and looked at him and he shrugged. "You can't abandon us!"

"I'm not. I'm fighting for everyone." He said and turned on his heel. Everyone shot her a sympathetic look before they too turned and filed out. As they walked out, voices rose around the dining room.

"Sure you want to come back? We won't blame you for staying here with your guildmates." Elfman said as he started through the doorway to the shuttle.

"And miss out on all the fun? Forget it." Eve said and offered a strained smile.
