In her room, Chloe looked through her closet, trying to find something in her clothing of yellow and white, "No, no, nonono!" Chloe complained before groaning in aggravation and marched out of the closet, "This is ridiculous, utterly ridiculous! How am I suppose to wear the new me if all I have is the old me!?" She said to herself as she toss away her old identical clothes. "Why did I buy many identical clothing? I must've been too full of myself."
"Everything is alright. Chloe?" Zoe asked as Chloe turned and saw her sister at the doorway with a concern look.
"What do you think, Zoe? I can't find a new look to wear. I need something to show people I'm the new me." Chloe said as she slugged to the wall and sat on the floor. "I don't know why I bought identical clothing."
"Well, you did have a habit of keeping your image. So, that could be a reason." Zoe stated.
Chloe groaned while covering her face. "I'll never find a new look for me!" She whined.
"Uh, I know this may sound weird, but why don't you try asking Marinette to make some new clothes?" Zoe suggested. "She is a designer after all."
Chloe was surprise by what her sister is saying as she turned to her with an uncertain look. "Um, I'm not sure if that's a good idea." She said uncertainly.
Zoe knew that Chloe is nervous to ask Marinette for help as she sat next to her. "Is it because you've been a bully to her all this time?" She asked. "Chloe, you've been making a real effort to prove you've changed, no matter what you did to Marinette I'm sure she'll hear you out,"
"But will Marinette even believe I've change, after all I've done to her?" Chloe asked while looking at her own hands. "I've been bullying her for years, and truthly, I think she has every right to hate me."
"Chloe, you never know unless you try." Zoe said with a smile. "The least you could do is show her your true self. You haven't been a bully these last few weeks and proving your not the same person you were before. So, give it a shot, and maybe ask Daniel to come with you. He might help you out with your fears." She added.
Chloe gave a slight blush at the mention of Daniel. "Well, um, I don't know, sis. I mean, I don't sound like a nag." She said a little sheepishly.
Zoe gave a chuckle. "Chloe, it's okay to ask for help. Right now, you have me, Sabrina, Adrien and Daniel. If you reach out to Marinette you'll have a lot more friends helping you out." She encourage.
"But what if I didn't change and then I'll-" Chloe tried to ask before she was cut off.
"You're not the same girl anymore, Chloe." Zoe interrupted with a determined smile. "You're someone better. I've always known that there was something in you and I in common, and that's being raised to be bad when we're truly good at heart." She added.
Chloe look uncertain for a bit, but hearing her sister's words by heart made her smile a little as she took a deep breath. "You're right, Sis. I've gotta let go of my fears. I'm going to ask Marinette, and I'm going to have Daniel help me. I must put aside what happened in the past and start embracing for the future." She said with a determined look.
Zoe gave her sister a smile before she gave her a hug, which surprised Chloe from that as she returned the gesture as she giggled. "That's it Chloe. You'll do great. And I know Marinette will be understanding. She is very forgiving." She said.
"Most of the time." Chloe added, still feeling a bit nervous but is willing to try.
"The least you could do is try and show her the real you." Zoe said as they broke apart. "Well, I'm gonna head down to the new Miracle Den, Sam told me where to be for Pegasus to Voyage me to the base." Zoe said as she walked out of the room, "See ya Chlo, and if your looking for Marinette, I heard Adrien was taking her to the pool." She said as she walked out of the room.
Chloe eyes widen from that as she got even more nervous. "Oh no. The pool? Why did have to be the pool?" She asked herself, seeing that it will be even harder for her to talk to Marinette, since the pool is the last place they should talk. She then took out her Alliance and moved to Daniel, "Daniel, I need a favor." She said in urgency.
"Voyage." Pegasus said as he and Zoe entered the Miracle Den lounge room, "Okay, we're here. Dismount," He said as he transformed as they walked to the other heroes, minus Marinette, Adrien, Daniel and Kim were hanging out, "All except for those not present are ready for the meeting."
"Shouldn't we wait for four others?" Mylene asked, since four of their friends aren't here today.
"No, Adrien is taking Marinette on their first date." Alya said with an excited smile.
The others smiled too, "Really? That's awesome! Where are they going?" Sam asked before his phone rang and he answered, "Hello?"
"Hey, Sam. It's me." Daniel's voice answered, "Sorry but I can't come to the meeting. Chloe and I are headed to the pool."
Alya blinked in surprise, "Well that's a coincidence, that's where Adrien and Marinette were going too." She said as the Zodiac holders flinched.
"Wait, Adrien and Marinette are there too?" Daniel asked through the phone, sounding shock. "Oh boy, now I'm starting to get it."
"Actually, come to think of it, Kim was going to the pool too," Max revealed.
The Zodiac team looked really worried now, "Uh oh." They said in concern.
""Uh oh' what?" Nino asked. "Is there's something going on?" He wondered while the others are wondering the same thing.
"I think Marinette will be even more anxious and have a panic attack once she steps foot into that pool." Molly said nervously.
"I think we should prepare for the anxiety pills, she's going to need it." Kara commented.
"I got it." Jacob said as he went to the supply area while the team look confused.
Sam then turned back to the phone, "Look Daniel, this probably doesn't need to be said but make sure Marinette's freak out isn't too big." He said.
"Well, I'll try. But knowing her, it will probably be shown easily." Daniel spoke in a dull tone. "But, I'll make sure. And maybe if Kim spill the beans, a firm talking will be great for that monkey brain." He said firmly.
"We're counting on you," Sam said as he hung up.
Alya looked at the four suspiciously, "Okay, what the heck was that about?" She asked.
"Oh, right, Marinette didn't tell you, Alya." Molly said as Jacob came back with a bag filled with anxiety pills. "Well, better be prepare because, it's something Marinette want to forget. But we'll tell you the basics, if you want." She said to her.
"Well, we got all the time in the world, so might as well spill it." Alya said as she and the others all look at the Zodiac's eagerly while wanting an explanation why they are concern for Marinette.
"Well, it all started year before Hawk Moth and the Miraculous came." Sam started, seeing that this would take a while to explain this to them.
At the pool Daniel and Chloe finished changing they saw Marinette running by and into the girls changeroom.
Chloe looked down and saw Kim and Ondine swimming and realized, "I guess I was right," Chloe said solemnly.
Daniel held her shoulder, "Chlo, you can't dodge this any longer, if you're ever going to prove to Marinette you can change or if she's going to feel comfortable around Adrien you need to talk to her." He told her firmly but also gently.
"But, what if she doesn't forgive me?" Chloe asked in worry.
"Marinette may be one to hold a grudge, but not for long. It has been some time and up until now, I think she's willing to listen." Daniel assured her with a smile. "And you never know unless you try then not try at all. And with Marinette now being with Adrien, she needs someone who knows him far longer than her, Chlo. Promise me you'll at least try?" He asked.
Chloe gave a small smile, "I will," She promised as Daniel smiled and walked down the stairs. Chloe then turned to the girls changeroom, walked towards it and grabbed the handle. She hesitated before taking a breath and gained a determined expression, "Okay, here we go." She said, twisting the handle and opening the door.
Chloe then walked into the changing room as she saw Marinette in her swimsuit while looking at the sink. "Marinette." She spoke.
Marinette then perked up but didn't turn, "So, were you able to post that too? How long before I'm on every Alliance ring on Earth?" Marinette asked bitterly.
Chloe stepped back a bit, "I deserved that," She said to herself as she walked up Marinette, "Please, can we just talk?" She asked gently.
Marinette straightened up and leered at Chloe over her shoulder, "I have nothing to say to you." She said.
"Well, I'm going to talk anyway," Chloe said as she turned and paced behind Marinette, "I know for the past few years, I was never real good person material, and the things I did to you at school were wrong but, its only now that I realize that, what I did here was crossing a line." She said shamefully.
Marinette turned to her in spite, "You don't say?" She asked sarcastically.
Chloe then sat on one of the benches as Marinette scowled down at her with her arms crossed, "All I wanted to do was make people feel like nothing, so I used my power over them, that my father had over them to make their lives miserable," She said, gripping her hands, "And, I targeted you especially because…I've always envied you Marinette."
Marinette was slightly surprised by Chloe's words as she lowered her arms. "You…envied me?" She asked.
"Yeah, I mean you had a father who had time for you, a choice to be whoever you wanted to be in life, friends who wanted to be with you because who you are not who you're related and…a mother who's so proud the smallest thing she does is remember your own name," Chloe said as she teared up and looked away, "I wanted what you had, but I knew I never could and I didn't want people thinking I was weak, so I spent all the time we've known each other to make you feel like I was: Nothing of value."
Marinette suddenly felt sympathy for Chloe, while she was Ladybug, she saw the real her hidden under all egotistically rich girl bravado, after Miracle Queen she thought it was just an act but now, seeing it as Marinette she saw that it was real.
Chloe started trembling, "After, after a friend helped me to turn my life around I wanted to apologize to you, to make up for what I did to you for years, but everytime it all just keeps flashing back," Chloe said as she held her head, "All the pranks I pulled, all the pain I caused you, how took away the people you needed for support, the fact that I manipulated your crush into pranking you into falling into the pool where you could've died!" She yelled in shame and covered her eyes. "Marinette I, I almost got you killed!" She cried.
Marinette was now surprise to see Chloe crying for her and for her own mistakes as she walked up to her. "Chloe, this, this might be the first time you actually felt sorry for me. I-I just thought you were just acting at first, but seeing you like this, this is real."
Chloe whimpered as she uncovered her eyes to look at Marinette, "I wish I could take it all back." She weeped.
Marinette then placed a hand on her shoulder. "Chloe, I need you to be honest, is the reason for your attitude because you were trying to get your mother to get your attention, or is it because you were trying not to be a nobody to anyone by thinking you're high or mighty?" She asked calmly.
"It's both, actually." Chloe said solemnly. "When I saw how my mother is so demanding, so rude so…Heartless, I thought if I was like her she'd finally notice me, say that she's proud of me but, it didn't work. And when I found the Bee Miraculous, I thought being a hero would get her to notice me more, but as you saw, that didn't work either!" She said before she clenched her hand and slammed it down, which made Marinette flinch.
"And then, I abuse the Miraculous and expose half Ladybug's team's identities when Monarch was still Hawk Moth when I was Miracle Queen, just because of my demands to Ladybug to be Queen Bee, only to lose any chance of ever being that again. I deserved it though, I never should've found Pollen and maybe Paris would be better off if, I never existed in the first place." She said sadly while looking down in guilt.
Marinette gasped in shock by what Chloe just said, while she doesn't like her bullying her or how she betrayed her to Monarch, saying she should never have existed was too much, "Chloe, don't say that. Wishing that you never existed is too cruel." She said, sitting next to her.
"It's what I deserved." Chloe said sadly. "I made so many mistakes and so many lives were ruined because of me. And…I nearly got the girl I wanted to be friends with for so long killed and ruined her chance of ever having a boyfriend."
Marinette looked down as she gave a sigh. "To tell you the truth Chloe, even without you, my life was already as hard as it is." She honestly said, which made Chloe turned to her. "I mean, I've been have a lot of love problems, Kim, Adrien, Luka, even Cat Noir." She explained.
Chloe was surprised by this. "Wow, the first three I get, but Cat Noir, that's unexpected." She said.
"Trust me, I tried, didn't work out well, and I nearly got someone killed too." Marinette sighed, remembering how Alya and her parents nearly paid the price for her blindness. "And besides, if you weren't around, Adrien wouldn't have a friend when he was locked away in his own home."
Chloe looked down, "But, I wasn't his friend on his first day at school." She said glumly.
"No, but Adrien kept telling us about the Chloe Bourgeois who cared for him, was like a little sister to him," Marinette said holding Chloe's hand as the blonde girl turned to her, "I never believed that girl and the girl who's been bullying me for years were same person, but now, seeing you here like this, it makes me wish that I was friends with her too." She said with a smile.
Chloe looked at Marinette tearfully as gave some sobs and then lunged at her, wrapping her in a hug, "I'm sorry Marinette! I'm so sorry!" She cried into her shoulder.
Marinette was surprised by Chloe's hug that she slowly returned it. "It's alright, Chloe. I just didn't get the chance to see the real you. I guess I was so used to the mean side of you, it's was hard to see your good side." She said as she pulled Chloe back and cleaned her cheeks, "But maybe we can change that, let's wipe the slate clean and start our relationship from scratch and see if we can actually be friends, deal?" She offered.
Chloe gave a small smile as a couple of tears fell before she wipe them away. "Deal." She said as the two of them then shook hands, "I promise that I won't ever be that girl again. Ladybug tried to help me become better, and I blew it. This time, I will be someone better, someone you can trust, no matter what." She promised.
"From what I see, I believe you're off to a great start." Marinette said with a smile as the two let go of their hands. "You know, Zoe tried it, it's not surprise you would do the same." She noted.
"I guess it runs in the family. Well, our mother's case. Since me and Chloe are half sisters. One mom, different dads." Chloe stated.
Marinette then stood up, "Come on, I think we've kept the others waiting long enough." She said as she pulled Chloe up.
"Yeah, and bit of advise, if you wanna be Adrien's girlfriend, just be yourself. I've done it, sort of, and it works." Chloe said with a chuckle. "But seriously, even after the incident, even I know Adrien's heart is for you."
Marinette gave a weird smile. "Since you've known Adrien the longest, I think you're right. Though this might take some getting used to being friends with you." Marinette said as they walked back to the pool.
"I understand, Giving our history, it'd take me some time to accept being my friend too," Chloe joked as they laughed and talked as new friends.
"And since then, Marinette decided she would never tell another boy that she loved him until she knew every little thing about him first and well, I think you know how serious she was with that promise," Sam finished explaining what they learned of Marinette's last love confession.
They all look in shock at what they heard, except for Juleka, Mylene and Rose since they were there at the time while those like Alya looked the most horrified at what she just heard.
"What?! Kim helped Chloe prank Marinette at the pool last year?! Why didn't she tell me about this?!" Alya asked in shocked anger as she turned to Rose, Juleka and Mylene. "Heck, why didn't you three ever tell me about this?!"
The three girls all flinch as Rose spoke. "Because we promised that we never speak of it since Marinette was still recovering from her heartbreaking. And it was also around the time when her best friend from last year was blamed for something she didn't do and got suspended." She explained.
"Wait, Marinette had a best friend before me?" Alya asked ins surprise.
"Alya, you weren't in her class at the time and you two just met since the beginning of this year. How do you think she survive the first three years of high school with Chloe?" Kara asked with a brow.
Alya thought for a moment before she realizes that is true. "Okay, good point. But to think Kim was her first crush? That's something she never mentioned or something to think about." She said in surprise.
"Yeah, shock us too. What's even more shock that Marinette had a crush on Kim back in the day." Jacob added with a sympathetic look. "Of course Kim didn't know, knowing how short minded he is."
"That airheaded swimmer! Ugh! I can't believe Marinette was crushed way before she met Adrien or Luka! No wonder she was so nervestruck about love!" Alya called out, now realizing why Marinette was so scared to even be around Adrien.
"Yeah, she's afraid that what happened back then will happen again." Molly said. "And trust us, it was also one of the other reason why she did so much research on Adrien before she even started dating him."
Kagami clenched her fist and turned to the door, "Well I say, we head to the pool and give that heartless monkey a lesson in respect!" She declared with an angry snarl.
"Way ahead of you!" Alya agreed, cracking her knuckles.
"Whoa, easy girls. Remember, this is Kim we're talking about." Sam called out while blocking the two girls. "He doesn't know any better, he thinks everything is a joke."
"Which actually fits the description for him to be the Miraculous holder of the Monkey." Nino added with a chuckle.
Luka frowned and sighed, just as angry but kept in check, "Regardless, Kim crossed a line with that prank on Marinette that day. He didn't even think about what could've gone wrong with a prank like that." He said with his arms crossed.
"Well, if Adrien sees how nervous Marinette is, I get the feeling that he might ask Kim about it or he will blab it out like an idiot." Zoe said with her hands on her hips.
"Something tells me if Kim doesn't get how serious things were about that little prank, things are about to get heated up at the pool." Nathaniel said with a sigh.
The computer suddenly started beeping as they all turned to it, "What's that?" Ivan asked.
"That's the Megakuma alert I installed earlier!" Max as they all ran to the main computer as Max pressed on some keyboards and it showed the location, "And apparently, it's location is at the, uh-oh." He stopped as he recognized the area.
"The Pool!" Alya called in shock as she started worrying, "Oh no, Marinette!"
"Okay, we need move! They need our help!" Kagami exclaimed while turning to Max. "Max, transform and get us there! Now!" She ordered loudly.
Max flinched as he grab some snacks from his pocket. "Hurry and eat, Kaalki, before I get toast." He pleaded as he gave some food to his Kwami.
"As you wish." Kaalki said as she eat as fast as she could.
A few minutes ago, at the pool, Chloe look at Marinette with a small smile. "Hey Marinette, can I ask you a favor?" She asked.
"Fire away." Marinette said with a smile.
Chloe blushed and tapped her fingers, "Well, there's this guy," She started sheepishly.
Marinette beamed and zipped infront of her, "Who is he?! Is he someone I know?! Where does he live?! How old is he?!" Marinette asked questions rapidly.
Chloe was surprised by Marinette's reaction before she gave a nervous chuckle and pushed her back a bit. "Okay, and even when you have Adrien, you are still the same Marinette." She said, nervously.
Marinette gave an embarrassing chuckle. "Sorry, it's a habit." She said while rubbing her head. "But seriously, who?" She asked eagerly.
Chloe then looked away, "Do you know someone named Daniel Strider?" She asked embarrassedly.
Marinette gasped with a wide smile, "Daniel! That's awesome!" She cheered.
"Yeah, he is. He helped me turn my life around and help me find the strength to apologize to you." Chloe said while having a dreamy smile. "He's so nice, supportive and has the courage to help others in a heartbeat." She fondly said.
Marinette went next to her and gave a playful nudge, "So, whaddya need help with?" She asked.
Chloe scratched her cheek, "Well, Zoe told me that a new look helps make a new you and I heard how your clothes make people feel like their not the same people they were before," She said, not sure how to finish.
"You wanted me to design you some new clothes to impress Daniel?" Marinette asked with a knowing smirk.
Chloe blushed, knowing that is exactly what she meant. "Well, yeah. That." She said slowly with a blush.
Marinette gave a chuckle and smiled at her. "Don't worry. After the pool, swing by my place and we can design something." She said.
Chloe gave a smile and jumped happily. "Thank you, Marinette! I know what you will make will be great!" She exclaimed joyfully.
Marinette gave a small chuckle again. "I am the best designer. Now come on, we get swimming lessons to go to." She said as the two girls walked out of the changing room and back to the pool where the others are, only to see Kim, Akumatized into a villain similar to Dark Cupid.
"Alright all you wet blanket! You ready to have fun?!" Kim declared.
"Kim?!" Adrien, Daniel, Ondine, Marinette and Chloe said in shock.
"Hey, you! There's no flying in the pool!" The coach yelled at Kim.
"Seriously, that's you're concern?" Daniel questioned in debrief as Adrien grabbed Marinette's hand.
"This way." Adrien said as he and Marinette ran upstairs.
"Ugh. It's like you can'd do anything anymore." Kim complained as he aimed his arrow, which the tip turned into a duck as he shot his arrow at the pool coach.
But instead of feeling anger or feel with rage like how Dark Cupid did before, the pool coach gave a smile. "I'm gonna drain the pool. It'll be hilarious when people dive in." He said as laughter can be heard from the air, which surprise Chloe, Daniel and Ondine from that.
"What was that?" Chloe asked in confusion.
"That's not funny at all! It's seriously dangerous." Ondine called out while looking at Kim.
"Why aren't you laughing? Where's your sense of humor?" Kim asked as he aimed his arrow, with the tip turning into a banana as he shot Ondine with it.
Daniel saw this as he grabbed Chloe. "We better go before we're hit by these arrows!" He said before he grabbed Chloe's hand and ran up stairs.
They all ran while Daniel opened a changing room and put Chloe inside. "Stay in here. I'll take care of, 'Dark Humor' and get the others." He said to Chloe.
"I was fine when Kim was Dark Cupid, at least he was serious." Chloe said while feeling bad that she had a feeling she caused this. "Even after a whole year, I still cause trouble."
"Chloe, you didn't know that this would happen. Kim just doesn't know that the feelings of others matter." Daniel assured her while grabbing her shoulders. "Don't think this is on you, because it's not. Kim was just upset that we didn't see things the way he does. He might have taken it hard since he's the funny guy."
Chloe looked down for a bit and took a breath. "Okay, just be careful. Because from the looks of his arrows, Monarch must've giving him back his power of the Monkey Miraculous." She noted after seeing how Dark Humor fired his arrows and how the tips transformed into random objects.
"Heh, that's another irony Monarch gave us." Daniel said with a rolled of his eyes. "But don't worry, we'll stop him. See you soon." He said with a smile, which Chloe returned with a nod before Daniel closed the door.
He ran to his changing room as he saw Huanglong in his bad. "Huanglong, we got another akumatized villain and miraculous to reclaim, and it's a crazy one."
"Considering we are dealing with Xuppu, that much is obvious." Huanglong said with a bored look. "That Kwami always did have a sense of humor."
"Yeah, but I think Kim will be learning his lesson the hard way with a few bruises from Cat Noir." Daniel said, remembering the rage he saw on Adrien's face, "Though let's make sure that's all Cat Noir will give, Huanglong, Heavens Ascend!" He exclaimed, transforming into Dragold as he rushed out of the pool.
Dragold then ran out as Ladybug and Cat Noir ran to him. "You guys ready to find Dark Humor before he cause anything that is not funny?" He asked them.
"Sure am! That guy needs a serious lesson!" Cat Noir exclaimed as he rushed out in rage.
Ladybug was surprise by Cat Noir's outburst. "What's gotten into Cat Noir?" She asked in wonder.
"Let's just say that Dark Humor's way of laughing didn't go well for him." Dragold said with a shrug. "Now come on. We gotta meet up with the rest of team before Cat Noir does anything he'll regret!" He exclaimed as they both followed Cat Noir.
At the kiddy pool, Ondine was destroying some kids boats with a stick before Dark Humor appeared behind them as he aimed his arrows at the two kids before a portal opened up and the Miraculous Team all exited while Carapace and Ryuko blocked his arrows.
"Kim!" Carapace yelled out as he lowered his shield, "Dude, this isn't cool! It's not even funny!" He yelled out.
"Oh come on, where's your sense of humor, Shellhead?" Dark Humor joked as he aimed more arrows at them and fired.
And then Dragold, Ladybug and Cat Noir jumped in front of their team as they blocked the arrows.
"Can't you pick on someone your own size?! Do you have no shame at all?!" Cat Noir yelled in rage as he charge at Dark Humor with his staff raised and slammed it hard to the ground, which cause it to shake as Dark Humor dodge it.
"Oh boy, I was afraid of this." Dragold muttered before turning to the enraged the black-leathered hero. "Cat Noir calm down, we just need to Deakumatize him, not knock his head straight off!" He called.
"He deserves it!" Cat Noir exclaimed as he extended his staff at Dark Humor, which hit him on the head before Cat Noir kicked him in the gut, which knocked him into the ground before Dark Humor was whacked hard by the staff as he was flung back even further.
The other heroes looked scared, never seeing this side of Adrien before, "What's happening? I've never seen Cat Noir act so vicious before." Caprikid asked in worry.
"Apparently, he found out Kim played a cruel joke on someone he cared about and I don't think he cares about holding back!" Dragold exclaimed as he ran straight to the raging black cat.
Cat Noir tackled Dark Humor as he gave a glare at the frighten villain. "We'll see if you're still laughing after I wipe that smile from your face with my Cataclysm-!" He exclaimed, raised his arm and bringing out his powers.
Until Dragold grabbed his hand, "No! Are you crazy?!" He called pulling Cat Noir back to the rest of their team, "Cat Noir we're trying to save Kim, not destroy him!" He reminded him.
Cat Noir took a breath as he realized what he almost did and looked at his friends, looking at him in concern. "I'm sorry. I-I don't know what's gotten into me." He said, but he didn't have time to react when an arrow with a cat head hit him on the back.
"Cat Noir!" Ladybug called out as the others gasped.
Cat Noir's Cataclysm then turned into something weird, producing balls out of his hands as he gave a smile and hopped around on the rode. "In don't know about you, but I'm having a ball!" He exclaimed while some vehicles stopped or lose control a bit before they regain control as Cat Noir is hopping around.
"Sorry you have to bounce so soon!" Cat Noir joked while the people around them tripped and fell on the balls while Dark Humor laughed.
"Okay, that's not right! Kim, can't you see that making a fool of someone isn't cool!" Rooster Bold yelled dout.
"What? It's funny! And this is someone who looks like a chicken!" Dark Humor yelled out as he aimed his arrows at them as they all scattered to avoid the shots.
"Okay, akumatized or not, that's just hurtful!" Pigella called out.
Dark Humor then pulled back an arrow, "And the little piggy went wee-wee-wee all the way home!" He said, shooting an arrow at Pigella.
"Pigella!" Purple Tigress yelled out.
Pigella then started laughing like crazy as she ran around. "Try and catch me if you can! Because you'll get this pig by the hair of her chinny-chin chin!" She exclaimed as she ran around.
"Okay, even with her being funny, she is cute." Caspian commented before turning to Purple Tigress. "PT, can you go and catch her before she hurts herself?"
"I'll try. She was always the excitable one." Purple Tigress said as she ran after Pigella across the area.
"Okay, this is ridiculous, Ladybug, we might need the Lucky Charm." Dragold said as Ladybug nodded.
"Lucky charm!" Ladybug called out, using her powers, but then Kim shot an arrow at her yo-yo, turning it into a balloon. "No!" She yelled out as Dark Humor laughed.
"Cheap shot!" Phoenix yelled out as she flew around Dark Humor. "You're not the only one with air power!" She yelled as she kicked Dark Humor, which he stumbled back a bit.
"Oh, that wasn't funny!" Dark Humor exclaimed as he tried to shoot his arrows at Phoenix as she dodge each other.
"It's not suppose to be!" Phoenix yelled as she kept dodging.
"Ladybug, detransform and try again! We'll keep the flying Joker busy!" Terrapin stated while the heroes all readied their weapons.
"You have to use your Lucky Charm again." Ryuko said as he blocked an arrow with her sword. "And fast!"
Ladybug nodded and quickly ducked behind a pillar. "Tikki, Spots off!" She exclaimed transforming back.
Dark Humor kept trying to hit as many of the heroes he can, but there were too many of them as they either dodge, block or hide as they tried to land a blow on him.
"He's too fast! We can't get close to him with those arrows he's firing!" Hydrake exclaimed as he dodge a couple of arrows. "And seriously, it's weird that he's using these arrows to make things funny." He commented.
"Spots on!" Ladybug exclaimed as she transform back into her hero form. "Lucky charm!" She exclaimed, using her yo-yo again.
Dark Humor saw this in shock. "Wait. How did she do that?" He asked in shock as Monarch's mask appeared over his eyes.
"She had time to transform back and forth, you fool!" Monarch exclaimed.
Ladybug's lucky charm then created a toilet as she caught it. "Are kidding me?!" Dragold asked in disbelief. "A toilet?!"
Dark Humor chuckles at this. "What's with that? Is nature calling?" He taunted while Carapace shielded her.
"Got any ideas, Ladybug? Because if you're Lucky Charm is still affect by his powers, it has a weird sense of humor." Carapace said while blocking another arrow.
"I'm thinking, I'm thinking!" Ladybug exclaimed as she look around as she focus on her lucky charm, the giggling ball producing Cat Noir, and then Dark Humor firing another arrow as she dodge and focus on that, the kid gluing a seat, and an entrance as she gave a smile.
"That's right. Nature is calling me to kick your butt." Ladybug said to Dark Humor with a smirk before she ran to Dragold as the two ran to avoid the arrows.
"You got an idea to tie him down, Ladybug? Because this whole target practice thing is started to get old." Dragold said while using his sword to block another arrow. "Seriously, I'm thinking even Monarch finds this funny."
"Dragold, I need you to take cover while waiting for my signal when Dark Humor is vulnerable." Ladybug said to him.
"Shouldn't I use my powers on Cat Noir or Pigella to reverse the effects of the Monkey Miraculous?" Dragold asked while blocking another arrow.
"No time. And I need Cat Noir for my plan. Just trust me." Ladybug said to him.
"Okay, Let's hope this works." Dragold said as the two split up as Dark Humor shot multiple arrows.
The heroes all scattered or block them as Ladybug went up to the glue bench and grab the tube of glue before the arrow hit on the ground, which sent her flying with a scream as she went behind a wall.
"Ladybug!" The Team all exclaimed in worried.
"I got her?" Dark Humor asked hopefully.
And then, Ladybug then came out while holding the toilet over her head. "It's my turn to laugh now." She sang joyfully.
The others looked at Ladybug slack jawed as Caspian facepalmed, "Okay it's official. We're doomed." He moaned
"Ladybug, make way for Ladygag." Dark Humor exclaimed as he shot his arrows at the other heroes when they weren't looking, managing to hit Hydrake, Phoenix, Rooster Bold, and Carapace. "And make way for more humor heroes!" He added.
"Hey, Phoenix, what's that under your feathers?" Hydrake asked while pointing at her chest.
"Wait, I do?" Phoenix asked before Hydrake flick his finger on her nose.
"Gotcha! Hahaha!" Hydrake laughed.
"Oh really? Well, how about I ruffle my feathers!" Phoenix joked as she grabbed her arms around Hydrake and took off to the sky with him dangling.
"Hey, look at me, a chicken crossing the road!" Rooster Bold called as he walked cross the road, which cause many vehicles to stop or crash with him in their way.
"Hey, you know what's funny, the turtle beet the rabbit! Which is why I'm giving you my shellter!" Carapace exclaimed while trapping people in a shield. "Hahaha! I'm on a roll!" He hopped on his shield as he rolled it around like a ball while the ones inside screamed.
Hiding behind some pushes, Terrapin, Minotaurox, Caspian, Caprikid, Pegasus, Ryuko and Dragold are watching their friends make fools of themselves, "Greaaat, now what are we gonna do?" Terrapin asked in concern.
They then watched Ladybug chase Cat Noir around, trying stuff the toilet on his head as he kept dodging while Dark Humor laughed. "Good one, Ladygag." He said.
"Okay, even if this is bad, you gotta admit, it is pretty funny." Caspian said with a slight chuckle before Terrapin slapped him on the back of his head. "Ow! Just saying."
"Actually, I think Ladybug got this covered." Dragold said with a smirk as the others turned to him in confusion.
"What are you talking about, Dragold?" Pegasus asked.
"Wait for it." Dragold said as they watched the show.
"Sit kitty! The potty is just getting started!" Ladybug called out as she chase after Cat Noir while Dark Humor followed behind, about to reach her earrings before she clogged the toilet with Dark Humor's head,
Dark Humor walked around blindly with his arms raised. "Hey! Get this off me!" He exclaimed as the other heroes came out of hiding as they laugh at Dark Humor.
"Ha! That's right. I pretended to be hit." Ladybug said with a chuckle as Cat Noir and the rest of the heroes are still messing around.
"Hahahah! A toilet stuck to your head! Now that's funny!" Minotaurox laughed.
"What's the matter, Dark Humor? Don't like Ladybug's joke?" Terrapin mocked with a hand to her chin, "I think someone needs a sense of humor."
The humor effected heroes started messing with Dark Humor as he couldn't see where he was going, "Hey! This isn't funny!" Dark Humor called out waving his arms.
"You're saying this isn't funny?" Caprikid asked mockingly.
"How things change when the shoe is the other foot." Ryuko said with a small laughter.
"Ladybug, would you please keep potty-face in place for me?" Dragold asked as Ladybug nodded and wrap her yo-yo around Dark Humor as Dragold did his extraction stances. "Miraculous Extraction!" He exclaimed, shotting his hands towards Kim.
Kim felt energy draining from him as he struggled to break free while brown energy formed around him as Monarch's mask symbol appeared.
In Monarch's lair, Monarch is yelling in pain as he clutch his head. "This isn't my idea of funny!" He yelled as the ring of the Monkey Miraculous flickered.
In Xuppu's cage, he is glowing brighter as he gave a laugh. "Ha! The jokes on you, Monarch! I'm out of here!" He exclaimed as he glowed bright before the Circlet and Xuppu disappeared in a flash of light while Monarch fell to his knees.
Back with the heroes, an orangish-yellow energy shot out from Dark Humor and into Dragold hands as he held Xuppu and his miraculous, "Alright Ladybug, devilize that clown!" Dragold ordered.
Ladybug nodded and wrapped her yo-yo around the toilet, breaking it as Dark Humor's eye piece fell off, breaking it as well as the Megajuma flew off. "No more evil-doing for you, Megakuma! Time to de-evilize!" She exclaimed tossing her yo-yo and catching the Megakuma. "Gotcha. Bye-bye little butterfly." She said as the butterfly flew away.
Ladybug then pick up a piece of the broken toilet. "Miraculous Ladybug!" She exclaimed as the magical ladybug repair all the damage while also turning all the humor effect heroes back to normal and anyone else hit by Dark Humor's arrows.
Dark Humor turned back to Kim as he sat down. "What happened?" He asked, looking around to see his friends are here but can't remember anything.
"Monarch used your emotions to manipulate you." Ladybug said to him with a gentle smile before she opened up her yo-yo to bring out a magical charm with Dark Humor's color scheme. "Kim, this is a magical charm. Always keep it with you. May it help you avoid making the same mistakes again." She said.
"I'm sorry team, I let my emotions get the better of me too," Cat Noir said to his friends.
"Hey, it happens, dude." Carapace said while placing a hand on Cat Noir's shoulder. "That's why you've always gotta have friends around."
"That way, there will always be someone to help the other." Phoenix said with a smile.
"Pound it!" The heroes all exclaimed.
Dragold gave a brow at Kim, "We'll talk about you getting your miraculous back later." He said as Kim nodded.
At the pool, Kim was talking to Ondine, Marinette, Adrien, Daniel and Chloe about what happened.
"I can't remember anything." Kim honestly said. "I hope I didn't do too many awful things when I was a supervillain." He said in guilt.
"The worst thing is that you do awful things even when you're no akumatized, Kim." Ondine pointed out.
"Again with the story? It was just a joke!" Kim said in defense.
"A girl like you, and you broke her heart." Ondine pointed to Marinette while Chloe looked away in shame.
"But I had no idea and Chloe's the one who put me up to it!" Kim insisted.
Daniel gave Kim a had look, "Just because you have no idea or that it was someone else's idea isn't an excuse Kim," He said firmly.
"Exactly, the pain is still real." Ondine added, "And would you still be saying it was just a joke if Marinette had gotten hurt or worse because of you?" She questioned.
Kim thought for a moment, never really considered that as he look at the lucky charm marinette gave her as he sigh in guilt. "You're right, guys. I'm just a fool who doesn't think about the consequences of what I say or do."
"And it was my fault too." Chloe said while rubbing her arm. "I gave you the idea of that prank, it wasn't all on you, Kim. I'm just a spoiled brat who stomps on those who have what I don't," She said in guilt before she smiled and turned to Marinette, "So the least I can do is try and be different from the Chloe who did such awful things." She said as Marinette and Adrien smiled at her.
Daniel smiled at Chloe for a bit before turning to Kim. "Kim, you're a funny guy. And that's okay. But pranks that hurt people's feelings or put them in danger is no laughing matter." He said as Kim looked down in guilt. "Listen, try and think about the negative results of your pranks before doing them. And try and be a bit more focus to your surroundings before you do anything else."
Kim thought of what Daniel said as he gave a smile. "You're right. And I'm gonna change." He said before he turned to Marinette. "I'm sorry I hurt you, Marienette. Can you please forgive me?"
"Apology accepted, Kim." Marinette said with a forgiving smile.
Ondine then hugged Kim, "There! That's the boy I fell in love with!" She said happily as she gave kisses to Kim on the cheeks as Kim gave a smile to his friends as they return the gesture.
A little bit later, at the Resistance HQ, Kim, and Chloe are walking down Marinette, Adrien, and Daniel.
They exited through the door there was a meeting by the others who gave Kim and Chloe angry and distrustful looks. "Hey, guys. I think I have a feeling what this about." Kim said nervously as Chloe gave the same expression.
"You don't say, heartbreak prankster?" Kagami hissed with a glare.
"Seriously, Kim, of all the things you played jokes, the one you and Chloe did to Marinette last year was crossing a line!" Alya pointed out.
"I know. I know. I mess up." Kim said with a raised of his hands. "I thought it was a harmless prank, but I didn't realize that I hurt her."
"Kim, the girl had a crush on you and you totally crushed her. And Marinette is pretty easy to tell when she's in love with someone." Marc pointed out, which made Marinette blushed in embarrassment.
"And Chloe, of all the moves you pulled on others in the past, that was a low blow, even for you." Luka pointed out with a disappointed look.
Adrien approached their friends, "Guys look I know you all make excellent points as to why Kim and Chloe are jerks, but trust me, they've changed." He insisted.
Nino still looked skeptical, "You can tell me Chloe's a good girl all day dude, but I'm never gonna be able to trust her," He said, giving Chloe a look.
Juleka crossed her arms, "We tried giving her a second chance once and it did not turn out well," She said, reminding them of the Miracle Queen incident.
"To be fair I have made some pretty questionable choices-" Chloe started.
"Questionable?!" Nathaniel interrupted while giving a glare. "Constantly trying to make our lives a misery is not questionable!" He pointed out while Chloe gave a straight face, knowing that is true.
"Hey, hey, hey. Let's calm down for a moment." Daniel said while waving his arms around. "We didn't start this meeting just to point fingers. And I get that what Chloe and Kim did in the past and what they did to Marinette was heart breaking, but that's all behind us. And Marinette has already forgiven them for it, so we should try and do the same," He stated.
The others didn't looked convinced as Marinette sighed and stepped forward, "Look, there's no one on Earth who should hate Kim or especially Chloe Bourgeois more than me, so if I say we should trust them than I mean it," Marinette told them, "Being a hero isn't just about having superpowers, it's about being the best person you can be, that's what Kim and Chloe are trying to do now."
They all look at Marinette, hearing her speech has them thinking about being a hero, since they all had Miraculous and others used to, but seeing that Marinette is right that Kim and Chloe are trying to make up for their mistakes. And they can't just keep hating them for trying to be better people just because what they did in the past.
Luka gave a sigh. "Guys, Marinette is right. If we're gonna stand a chance against Monarch, we're gonna need all the help we can get." He said to the group.
"I hate to say but, but even I have to agree with my bro on this." Juleka spoke up, "I mean, they did pull a dangerous prank on Marinette, but they are making up for it. Chloe did risk akumatized herself to help Ladybug and Cat Noir get their hero vibes back."
"I may take some getting use to this, but I calculated that there might be a possibility that Chloe really has changed." Max said.
"My sister may have been a bad girl back then, but she isn't anymore. I was there." Zoe said, while defending her sister.
One by one, the Team all muttered to each other in understanding as Kim and Chloe smiled at them, seeing that they are giving a chance with the others as Daniel nudged Kim. "Hey, Kim, come with me for a sec." He said while walking to a corner away from the others. "Look, Kim, I know you didn't mean that prank, but you have promise that you will stop and think before you do anything drastic. Because if you don't then someone could get hurt or worse." He said.
"I know. I guess I was so caught up in my humor I lost sight of that." Kim said in sadness before he saw Daniel handing out the Monkey Miraculous to him.
"Look, I'm giving you the Miraculous, but you have to remember to always think before you do. And remember that you have friends around to help you." Daniel said with a smile. "Remember that, okay."
Kim look at the Monkey Miraculous for a moment, then to Daniel and then to him friends before he gave a determined look and accepted the Monkey Miraculous as he placed it on his head. "I promise I won't let you or my friends down." He swore as Xuppu appeared.
"Hey, how's my favorite clown?" Xuppu asked with a smirk.
"Hey, Xuppu, it's great to have you back." Kim said with a small smile before he heard Xuppu stomach growling. "Hey, wanna a banana?" He asked jokefully.
"Anything to eat, yes please." Xuppu said with a smile as the two walked into the snack area to give Xuppu some food.
Daniel smiled as he turned to Chloe, who smiled at him with a wave as he returned the gesture.
Chloe then turned to Marientte. "Hey, Marinette, just to make up for all the things I've done, I'll help you get over your fears. So you can find the courage to tell him." She said.
Marinette gave a small smile. "I think I'd like that Chloe." She said to her.
