On the Liberty houseboat, Daniel and Nino were waiting on deck as Adrien and Marinette rode by on a scooter as they got off and took off their helmets.
"Everything okay, boys?" Marinette asked.
"We came as soon as we got your messages," Adrien said as he got off Marinette's scooter.
"Hope I wasn't interrupting anything," Nino said amusedly.
"Oh no, Adrien was just giving me my first Tamerian lesson," Marinette said before she corrected herself, "I mean! Mandarin lesson!" She said sheepishly.
They then turned to see Kagami's car rolling in as she stepped out, "I'm here. You said there was a problem." Kagami said to Daniel.
"The situation is serious my friends, maybe even more serious than Monarch himself," Daniel said with a frown.
"We're going to need both your and Kagami's help, Adrien," Nino said seriously.
Kagami and Adrien were shocked by their friends' expressions, "Alright. What can we do?" Adrien asked.
"Three 'P's," Daniel said raising three fingers, "Plastic, Pollution, Problem." He stated before gesturing them to climb on board, "First, let us explain why we called you here,"
The three looked at each other in wonder as they followed their friends. "As you know, the Seine is a river, its current acts as a conveyor belt carrying anything that falls into it out to the ocean," Nino started while showing some glass containers filled with plastic trash in them, "Including plastic waste,"
"Can't believe that there is so much plastic in the Seine," Marinette said in shock.
They then turned to Zoe, Kara, Kim, Nathaniel, Marc, and Chloe, who were dragging a big bag of plastic away, "Plastic is everywhere! Even in our clothes!" Zoe stated as she pulled one bag.
"Practically everything we use in our everyday lives has plastic in it!" Chloe added while pushing the bag Zoe was pushing.
"If no one handles the plastic problem, who will?" Daniel asked as Kagami, Adrien, and Marinette looked at each other and shrugged in confusion. "Exactly. Which is why we decided to take matters into our own hands," He said while gesturing to Max, Jacob, and Mylene at a computer screen as it showed the houseboat with tubes underneath it, sucking garbage in the river.
"When we explained what was happening to my father, he gave us everything we needed to make the Seine much more clean," Jacob said with a proud smile.
"We converted the houseboat into an ecological water treatment plant," Mylene explained, gesturing to the computer.
"Thus allowing us to intercept the numerous plastic items that fall into the Seine and pollute it," Max finished.
Daniel and Nino continued to guide the three around the houseboat, "The problem with plastic is that it does not decompose," Nino continued.
"And most plastic items can only be used once before being thrown away," Molly added as she and Rose filled a new bag.
Alya then came by with a toolbox, "All the plastic that's been made and reused has ended up in the environment," She added as she ran off below deck.
"And it's still there in one form or another and that can be dangerous for plants, animals, and even us," Daniel stated.
"That's terrible," Kagami said.
Then the houseboat started shaking as the four regained their balance. "This morning, the situation suddenly got worse," Nino said as they all rushed below deck to the engine room.
In the Engine room, Juleka, Ivan, Sam, Ayla, and Anarka trying to stabilize the engine. "If this keeps up, my houseboat will sink," Ankara stated as she cranked her wrench on the boat.
Then Adrien, Marinette, Kagami, Nino, and Daniel came down and saw them working as Markov came flying by next to them, "We detected a large increase of plastic waste in the Seine, all coming from the same item," He informed.
"Same item? What do you mean?" Adrien asked in wonder.
"Paris City Hall decided to install vending machines everywhere to sell these," Daniel explained as Alya brought out her phone to show them an ad.
"It's so hot out," Both Digital Kagami and Adrien said while fanning themselves before Digital Kagami pointed at something.
"Look at these adorable handfans!" Digital Kagami exclaimed as it showed a vending machine filled with fans Digital Adrien and Kagami came out behind it.
"And since they're so affordable, we can switch them as much as we want," Digital Adrien said as he and Kagami opened up each fan each one has different color-coded pictures of different people like Jagged Stone, XY, and Adrien for example.
"That way, every day will feel unique," Digital Kagami continued as she opened a fan of herself and Adrien, "The Morpho-Fan designed by Gabriel, is the must-have accessory to fight the heat! Available everywhere! A Bertrand King creation," The ad then finished.
Both Kagami and Adrien were shocked by what they saw, "I can't believe they would make something like this!" Kagami yelled out in slight anger.
"We're sorry. We didn't even know about this," Adrien said as Kagami nodded her head in agreement since they were never told by their parents about these new fans.
Marinette held Adrien's hand, "We know it's a 3D avatar of you two, it's neither of your faults." She assured her boyfriend and friend.
Suddenly the boat started shaking, even more violently, "Mayday, mayday! The engine won't hold up! There's just too much Plastic in the river!" Sam exclaimed as he and the others tried to keep the engine together in vain.
"We have to abandon ship, Sailors!" Ankara ordered as they all ran out of the engine room and off the boat.
Once they were off the houseboat, they saw all the plastic they'd collected explode out of the Liberty and fall right in front of them while most of the plastic was fans.
Molly groaned in disgust, "Ugh, this is disgusting!" She said, "All of this came from the Seine?!"
"Yes," Kara answered while kicking a bottle away, "People have no respect for the river,"
Nino then picked up one of the fans, "This is why we need you and Kagami, buddy," He said to Adrien, "These fans are a major eco-disaster. You both have to talk to your parents," He said while giving Adrien the fan.
"You know how my father is, he won't listen to me," Adrien reminded him.
"And all my mother cares for is innovation and modernizing the world, regardless of environmental consequences," Kagami pointed out. "Not that it would help, as her company has nothing to do with these fans."
"Well, we gotta do something," Sam stated as he picked up a plastic cup, "Because if this keeps, we'll be up to our waists in plastic waste." He stated.
Marinette thinks of a solution before she looks at the fan, "What if we try and solve this another way?" She asked while taking Nino's fan and opening it as it showed the logo of the Bertrand King, "Go straight to the root of the problem?" She suggested.
"You mean, talking to Bertrand King himself?" Jacob asked.
"That is a sound solution, Marinette. But how are we gonna have a meeting with the big boss of these plastic fans?" Daniel asked since they didn't know how they could get in touch with Bertrand King.
"Leave that to me," Marinete said with a small smirk.
At Marinette's place, Marinette explains to her father that she and her friends are in the bakery while Tom goes through the list, "10 boxes of plastic macaron trays, 20 boxes of plastic cake decorations, 100 boxes of plastic pastry labels," He listed out while Mylene and Jacob were feeling faint from the amount of plastic items Tom requested as Ivan and Molly helped keep their respective lovers stable. "And last but not least, 10,000 plastic bags," Tom finished.
That did it as Jacob and Mylene gave a yell as they fainted in their lovers' arms while Marinette winced.
"Whoa, uh that's a lot of plastic Mr. Dupain-Cheng," Daniel commented with a cringe.
"Okay, Dad we're on it!" Marinette said with a smile.
Tom then saw the state Mylene and Jacob were in as the former fanned herself while the latter panted, "Are you kids sure you don't mind?" He asked in concern.
"Of course not," Marinette said with a small smile. "Daughters help parents and friends help friends. So friends help friends help friends' parents, right parents-" She then stopped herself when she said that to her friends. "I mean friends?" She asked with a sweet smile.
"Let's hope that Jacob and Mylene can take it," Molly said as she fanned her boyfriend from the numbers of plastic that were on the list.
A little bit later, they are in a warehouse when a man in a pink uniform comes in with the last box he is carrying.
"And the 10,000 plastic candy bags for the Dupain-Cheng bakery! It's all here!" The warehouseman said, which made Mylene and Jacob faint again as Molly and Ivan caught their respective lovers again.
"Thank you, sir!" Marinette said to him with a smile before she remembered something, "Excuse me, sir, would it be possible for us to meet your boss?" She asked as they both looked toward a statue of Bertrand King.
"Mr. Bertrand King? The King of Plastics?" The warehouseman asked before he gave a small laugh. "No, he never comes here," He then points upward, "Bosses are up there, on top of the social ladder," He explained.
"And where can we find the top of the social ladder?" Marinette asked as she pointed up as well.
The warehouseman then presses the statue's button on the wand as it moves its fingers, "Plastic is fantastic!" It said as they all looked to where it was pointing they saw the big building on the other side of town.
"Uh, I guess when they say top, they really mean the top," Daniel commented in surprise, but at least they knew where Mr. Bertrand was.
A little bit later, the group arrived at the building in disguises, "Are you sure this is gonna work?" Chloe asked, wearing rubber gloves and a wide-brim visor.
"Don't worry, it will," Nino assured while in his old detective costume as he turned to the group, "Let's recap, while the delivery team distracts the guards, the cleaning team goes in through the surface entrance," He explained as Ivan, Mylene, Molly, Marc, Nathanial and Jacob were the delivery team and the others were the cleaning team.
Max then saw one of the guards walking towards them as he pointed behind Nino, "We've been Spotted!" He said quietly.
"Impossible!" Nino said as he played with the mustache while he didn't notice the guard coming up to him. "With these disguises, we're completely undetectable," He said.
"You!" The guard yelled out, which made Nino flinch in fright.
"You were saying?" Sam asked with a brow.
Nino then turned to the guard with a nervous look. "Uh… Me?" He asked.
"You!" The guard repeated while he was still pointing.
Nino turned and raised his hands in surrender. "It's not me, you must be mistaken!" He tried to reason before the guard walked past Nino and went up to Jacob.
"You! You are an Econ, aren't you?" The guard asked Jacob.
Jacob flinched as they all turned to him in confusion, "Heh, I probably should've mentioned that my dad and Mr Bertrand don't exactly see eye to eye." Jacob said sheepishly while taking off his hat and rubbing the back of his head.
"And how much they don't see eye to eye?" Molly asked her boyfriend.
"You guys remember when my Dad wanted to make the world better for people and the environment?" Jacob asked as they all nodded, "Well, the King of Plastic is one of his enemies he made during that and whoa, does the King hate Dad's guts," He explained.
"You could've told us that before we walked up here!" Marc whispered as the others nodded in agreement.
"Sorry, but due to me fainting over the amounts of plastics that Marinette's father requested, I forgot to tell!" Jacob hissed while giving Marinette a look, which she flinched back from that.
"Oh, right, sorry," Marinette apologizes sheepishly.
Jacob turned to the guard, "Look, me and my pals don't want any trouble," He said with the business tone his father taught him, "We just have a business proposition for Mr. Bertrand that will benefit both his and my family's companies in the long run." He explained with a hopeful look.
The guard looked at him for a moment before he nodded. "Fine, if this will benefit both companies, then you will all be allowed to enter the building to see him," He said.
"Great, dude-I mean, sir!" Nino corrected as he and the others all sighed in relief.
"But first," The guard spoke while looking at Kagami and Adrien, "You both are on this fan, aren't you?"
"Uh, yes?" Kagami asked in confusion as Adrien nodded with a raised brow.
"Can I get both your autographs?" The guard asked with an excited smile while showing his fan to them.
The group looked at Kagami and Adrien with amusing smiles as the two groaned and borrowed the man's pen and signed the fan before they entered the building.
In his office, Bertrand King paced across the room, looking at the kids on the other side, "Well, normally I don't bother with anything an Econ has to say, but when it comes to business I'm always open to talk." He said as he took a seat.
"Then you'll love this, Markov, give us a screen," Jacob said as Markov projected a screen on a white curtain held up by Ivan and Kim, "Now Mr. Bertrand, I know you and my dad aren't exactly on the right foot with each other, but my friend and I came here to talk you about the use of Plastic here in Paris." He explained.
"I'm listening," Mr. Bertrand said, his interest piqued at the mention of plastic.
Alya said, "We know how useful the invention of plastic has been. It was made because it's strong but also light and it doesn't cost a lot of money to make. That's why companies like you started to make lots of items we use every day made of plastic," She explained as Markov showed a projection of plastic uses.
"Mmm-hmm, "Mr. Bertrand nodded.
"And it brought great medical advances," Jacob said while showing a medical room on the screen and then it showed some plastic containers, "It keeps our food fresher for longer," Then showed some bags and bottles, "And it helps us carry things around," He added.
Mylene then walked up next to Jacob as the screen showed the piles of plastics being thrown away, "The real problem is that too much plastic is being made and most items are only used once before being thrown away," She added while gesturing to the screen behind them.
"Products such as plastic bags, wrappers," Nino listed out.
"And your Morpho fans," Marinette finished.
"Which is being thrown away than any other plastic item," Kara added.
"What we're asking you is to help us put an end to plastic pollution," Adrien continued.
"So you can start making your fans from materials that will break down and won't cause any damage to the environment," Molly suggested.
"Or in other words, Biodegradable," Sam explained.
"And if you, take a stand against Plastic Pollution that will surely inspire other people and companies to do the same," Daniel added.
"The world won't change without us and you, Mr. Plastic," Marinette said before she began to stutter, "Bertrand, King-" She stuttered again, "I mean, Mr. King of Plastic." She corrected herself.
Bertrand just stared at them, expecting more from them, "We're done, Mr. King of Plastic," Jacob said as Markov turned off the projection.
Bertrand was silent for a moment before he spoke, "That was the clearest presentation I've ever been given. And of course, you're right, people buy cheap plastic items," He said as Jacob and Mylene looked at each other and nodded, "Throw them away and buy those same plastic items repeatedly," He added.
The group then started cheering, thinking they'd got through to Bertrand.
"But," Bertrand suddenly said, which made the group look at him, "That's the point," He said as the group deflated at what he said.
"I'm sorry, what?" Jacob asked with a brow.
"Don't get me wrong. This is all intentional," Bertrand said to them as he walked up towards them, "It's the wonderful cycle of throwing away and buying again that makes my fortune. If people didn't throw away and buy new items again then I, Bertrand King, would no longer be the King of Plastic!" He said while posing like his statues, "So, there is no way any of this is changing."
The group all gasped at what he just said.
Bertrand then brought out his pen, "Just look, what do you think your pens are made of?" He asked as Alya held up the pen in her hand, "That's right, plastic! What about your Alliance Rings? Could it be that they're also made of...?" He started with a smirk.
"Plastic!" Kim answered with a smile while pointing at Bertrand.
"Winner!" Bertrand declared while pointing at Kim in return.
"Yeah! I won! Awesome!" Kim cheered as he stopped celebrating, "But what prize did I win?"
"Plastic!" Bertrand answered while tossing a plastic dolphin to Kim, who caught it with a smile.
"Kim, remember whose side you're on." Sam reminded with a brow.
Kim then realized what he was doing and gave an embarrassing smile, "Uh, sorry," He said to his friends.
"What about your robot?" Bertran while pointing at Markov, who glares at him, "What's he made of?"
"I know! I know!" Kim cheered. "He's made of…" He was cut off when Markov spoke.
"I am an intelligent sensitive being and I am made of natural biodegradable resin, not plastic!" Markov pointed out while shaking his head.
"Alright, fine! Well, nobody's perfect," Bertrand concedes before gesturing to his plastic collections on the shelf, " But my plastic is perfect, it's here forever, and the more plastic invades the world day after day, the more I, Bertrand King, King of Plastic, become rich! If I could, I'd be plastic myself," He declared as he pressed the pen button on his statue.
"Plastic is Fantastic!" The statue said while Bertrand did the exact pose.
A little bit later, the group all sat on the stairs in defeat, "Well, that went over like a lead balloon," Nathaniel commented with his head resting on his hands.
"The King of Plastic has caused our enthusiasm to drop 99.8%," Max said as a Morpho fan dropped in front of them.
Marinette noticed as she gave a determined look, "There's no way we're standing by and doing nothing," She said.
"Then what are we gonna do, Ms. Luck?" Kara asked.
"We can talk to other people who can make a difference," Zoe said, standing up, "Chloe and I can talk to our father,"
"I can try and reason with my father, if he'll listen," Adrien added.
"I can do the same with Mother," Kagami suggested.
"And I can see if there's anything else my dad can do to help," Jacob stated.
"Okay, team, we know what to do, so let's go, we'll meet back up later after we try," Daniel said as they all nodded and split up to get their plan to work.
And then a little bit later before sundown, they all regroup outside the school with very little results, "My father hasn't listened to me at all," Adrien said to Marinette.
"The same goes for my mother," Kagami said sullenly.
"Our is too concerned with his image to anything about the fans either," Chloe stated.
"Well, my father said he'll try his best, but he's not making any promises without enough support," Jacob said.
Marinette then gave a thoughtful look as she looked to a sign of Nadja and gave a smile, "Hold on. We might have one more chance," She said to them as they listened to what she was thinking about.
A little bit later, they are all back at the houseboat as they wait for Marinette to come back. They didn't have to wait long as they saw Marinette arriving with her Scooter, "Marinette, were you able to convince Nadja to help us?" Kara asked hopefully.
"No, she's too afraid that the news will be put out of business if the King of Plastic is funding the news program," Marinette said, which made them all groan in defeat before Marinette smirked, "But I have another idea," She said, which got their attention.
"You do?" They all asked.
"We're gonna make our own news story," Marinette said as they all listened to her plan with confused faces.
The next day at the houseboat, the news started playing while Max was typing on a computer, trying to hack into the news system as the fan ad appeared.
"It's about to start!" Marinette called out, seeing that the news would be starting soon.
"12 more seconds," Max informed.
"Ready everyone?" Marinette asked as she held out her phone to show Jessica and Aeon in New York and Fei Wu in Shanghai as the three nodded.
"Don't be bemused, it's just the news. Our first story today is a report by Clara Contard on the incredible heat wave that has settled in Paris for a week now!" Nadja said while Max typed into the computer.
"We're good!" Max said as he pressed the button, which cut off the news channel while Nino held up a camera and turned to them to let them know they were rolling.
Marinette then spoke up to the camera while the others held their signs, "Sorry to interrupt your TV news. I'm Marinette and for the past few days, my friends and I have tried to raise awareness of a serious problem to people who have the power to act. But none of them have taken us seriously," She spoke first.
"There is indeed a critical issue affecting our entire planet right now. We're talking about plastic pollution." Mylene continued.
"And if nothing is done, there will soon be more plastic than fish in our oceans," Adrien added.
"Therefore, we must change our habits for our planet!" Jacob spoke next.
"All across the world, we must act responsibly," Fei said next through the video as she picked up a fan and threw it in the trash bin, "We can all make good choices about the items we use every day,"
"These fans, distributed in every city, across the world are manufactured with cheap plastics not meant to last," Jessica spoke as she and Aeon threw some fans in the trash in New York.
"Instead of being short-lived, they can be sustainable and bio-degradable," Aeon spoke next.
"These fans could be made out of bamboo, like this one," Alya added while gesturing to the fan made of bamboo that Adrien was holding.
"It's so beautiful, that you'd want to keep it forever," Adrien said while looking at Marinette with a flirting smirk, which made Marinette blush a bit as she held up her bamboo fan while giving Adrien an embarrassed smile.
"On behalf of Econ-Tech Enterprises, Let's demand change from the people who have the power to implement environmentally sustainable solutions," Marinette declared.
"For the world of tomorrow is built by the choices we all make today," Jacob finished.
The next day, the group is back at the houseboat, except for Jacob, Marinette, and Adrien, as they watch their video before it changes to Nadja on the news, looking very impressed by their bold move.
"This initiative by young people from all around the world, which you discovered as an exclusive live video in yesterday's broadcast, has elicited many reactions," Nadja reported.
Then, Mayor Andre appeared with a van behind him with men putting the vending machines in. "Naturally, I was not aware of this. But as soon as I was informed, I had every Morpho fan machine removed from Paris. My city is at the forefront of the fight for pollution," He said before he realized what he said, "I mean against pollution!" He corrected with a nervous expression.
Then the screen changed to Gabriel with many microphones in front of him, "I can assure you, that I had no idea that my talent would be misappropriated by a polluting company," He said.
"We now go to Richter Econ, Director of Econ-Tech Enterprises, on what he thinks of these children's boldness," Nadja said as the screen showed Richter standing outside his building with his family.
"While I admit, I'm not exactly pleased how my son and his friends hijacked the news yesterday, I tip my hat to them for taking the initiative to fight against the pollution problem in this world," Richter said as he tipped his hat, "So now, it's my job to do something and help lead Paris to better and greener future, and I'm hoping everyone here will join me on this journey."
"In the coming days, we will be tracking the progress of this anti-plastic revolution," Nadja finished as the news finished and they all cheered, Jacob, Marinette, and Adrien were on Facetime, the former was with his family while the two latter were in Marinette's place.
"Your idea was brilliant, Marinette! As always!" Adrien cheered as he and Marinette hugged each other.
"Now that's what I call a finding speech!" Jacob said with a smile.
"Gotta say, Marinette, of all the ideas you pulled, this is next level," Daniel commented.
"And your father helped us, Jacob. He must be proud of you," Molly said to her boyfriend.
"Well, he wasn't exactly happy after we took over the airwaves yesterday but hard to stay mad when you're fighting for a good cause," Jacob explained with a smile. "Even he understands when you gotta take action into your own hands when it's necessary, and yesterday was necessary,"
"Well, that's good to hear, and I bet he was happy that we finally made the world known about Bertrand's plastic pollution," Sam joked.
"Oh, you bet he did, and trust me, he couldn't stop laughing about it," Jacob said as they all laughed at the thought of Richter, "He was so impressed he invited you all over to celebrate,"
"Wait? Really?" Nino asked excitedly as were the others.
"Of course. He wanted you all to enjoy our success in taking a stand against pollution," Jacob said with a smile. "He already sent you all digital invitations and some details, so I hope to see you then,"
"You know we'll be there, buddy," Daniel said with a smile, "Tell your Dad we'll be there,"
"We'll be there too," Adrien said with a smile.
"Awesome, see ya then guys," Jacob said as he ended the call.
They all smiled as Molly spoke, "He's awesome," She said fondly.
"Well, you better get going, Adrien is just finishing teaching me Mandarin lessons," Marinette said while giving a warm smile to Adrien, to which he returned the gesture.
"So we'll be over there as soon as we can," Adrien added.
"Cool, see you guys there," Alya said as they ended the call.
Kara then took out her phone and saw the invitation, "Wow, Jacob's father sends invites quickly, and we got the address," She commented.
"Let's party!" Kim declared.
"Well, time to be prepared, gang," Sam said to them as they all went to get ready.
At Jacob's place, he was prepping up the party for his friends when his father came to him, "I'm proud of you and your friends, son. It takes a heck of a lot of guts and a big heart to take a stand and make the world better," Richter said to his son while placing a hand on his shoulder.
Jacob chuckled, "Thanks Dad, it mostly just started with cleaning the Seine but I guess we were making a bigger change than I thought," He said.
"Sometimes even the tiniest differences can make a big change in the end," Richter said to him, which made Jacob smile at his father from his words. "Anyway, I'm going check on Mrs. Couffian, see how her houseboat is doing, I'll be back in time for the party." he said as he left the room.
But then as Jacob continued to set things up, someone burst into the room, man that looked to be made of black and pink plastic, with colored spheres like on an altering-ink pen, had a crown on his head, and holding a double-ended black and pink lance in his hand.
"What in tarnation?!" Jacob said in shock.
"So Econ, are you trying to run me out of business?" The man said with a familiar voice, Jacob knew very well.
"Wait, Mr. Bertrand? Is that you?" Jacob asked in shock.
"For now on, call me the King Plastic," King Plastic ordered as he did his pose. "And I'm gonna show the world that plastic is fantastic!" He declared.
Jacob looked at him with a dull look, "Even when he's akumatized, his ego is as big as ever," Jacob commented dully as security came in.
"You there stop! A security guard yelled.
"How about you stop!" King Plastic shot back as he jabbed the blunt end of his staff at him, freezing him in place before doing the same to the rest.
"How about I show you the true meaning of plastic, sonny boy!" King Plastic then turned his lance around and tapped the guards, which turned them into different colored plastics.
Jacob rgasped in shock as the King Plastic laughed, "Plastic is Fantastic!" He declared as he closed in on the father and son. "Now it's your turn to become my work," He said as he aimed his weapon at Jacob before he threw a metal plate at the man.
"Not today old man!" Jacob exclaimed as he ran out of the room and into the halls. He then got to his room and locked the door, sighing in relief, "Boy, that was close."
Qinlong then appeared next to Jacob, "I think your whole anti-pollution movement didn't go well for Mr. Bertrand quite well," He commented.
"And he's taking it out on everyone who's against Plastic," Jacob said as he grew determined, "Let's send this guy to the recycling center! Qinlong, Wind Rage!" He exclaimed as he transformed into Hydrake and brought out his weapon to text the others about what was happening before he ran out of his room to find King Plastic before he could turn anyone else into Plastic.
He ran as he saw his family cornered at a wall, with his mother was shielding his sister and King Plastic aiming his weapon at him. "Time for you to see that plastic is fantastic, ladies!" King Plastic declared as Valerie and Sally screamed.
"Oh no you don't!" Hydrake called as then jumped in and kicked King Plastic away he crashed into the window and fell outside before Hydrake turned to his family, "Are you two okay?" He asked.
"Hydrake, thank goodness you're here," Valerie said as Sally ran up and hugged Hydrake.
"Thank you!" Sally said with a smile.
Hydrake smiled and hugged back before she pushed her back, "I suggest you two get to safety," Hydrake told the three before turning to the hole in the window, "My team and I handle his Majesty!" He said.
Valerie nodded as she guided Sally away before turning back to Hydrake, "Be careful," she told him in concern.
"Always," Hydrake nodded as Valerie continued to follow after her husband while Hydrake jumped through the window and faced King Plastic, "Hey you overgrown plastic, it's time you get back to the bin where you belong!"
King Plastic growled and aimed his weapon at Hydrake, "Nothing will stop the rein of plastic!" he declared.
"Dude, if you've seen the news, Plastic is going out of fashion!" Hydrake exclaimed as he charged at him as the two clashed weapons.
"This is all the Econs and Gabriel Agreste's fault! Agreste was my first Target but since he ain't home, Ricky and his family will have to do!" King Plastic called out as he knocked Hydrake on his back.
Just then, the rest of the heroes jumped down next to Hydrake with their weapons readied as Phoenix went up to Hydrake. "Are you okay?" She asked.
"I am now that you guys are here," Hydrake said as Phoenix helped him up.
"We saw this plastic dude coming this way and saw your message," Carapace explained.
"Then let's show this king the importance of recycling," Cat Noir quipped as King Plastic charged at them, Cat Noir blocked his strike with his staff, but it turned into a pink plastic staff. "Hey! He plasticized my staff!" He exclaimed in shock.
"That's not all, his lance has the power of Action, the Bee Miraculous," Hydrake explained, having seen how King of Plastic paralyzed the security team.
King Plastic was about to strike them but the heroes all dodged out of the way as he hit the ground as Rena Rouge charged at him. "You're the tycoon who makes all these polluting fans! The King of Plastic, aren't you?!" She questioned as she tried to punch him but King Plastic dodged each of them.
"The King of Pollution you mean!" Polymouse as she joined in as she tried to kick King Plastic but he ducked and rolled out of the way.
"Misinformation!" King Plastic retorted as he did his pose, "Plastic is Fantas-" He trailed off when Caspian threw one of his sais at him, which hit him on the chest.
"Will you please stop saying that?!" Caspian called in annoyance.
"What would be fantastic are you ending your reign and all the pollution you're causing!" Ladybug called out tying her yo-yo around King Plastic's legs.
"And giving us back the Bee Miraculous!" Dragold added as he kicked King Plastic to the ground as he rolled across the floor.
King Plastic then stood up as the heroes had him surrounded, "And renounce my throne and my power?! Never!" He yelled out as they watched him leaping away.
"Where is he going?" Pigella asked.
"I can figure that out, Sublimation! Power to track down Akuma!" Rooster Bold he said as he put his glowing hand to himself as he felt his vision zooming across the city before it stopped at King Plastic running towards the Liberty houseboat, "He's heading for the houseboat!" He told them.
Viperion and Purple Tigress gasped, "Mom!" they said in panic.
Hydrake then went wide-eyed as well, "And that's where my dad is too!" He cried out in panic as he grabbed Pegasus and shook him. "Open a Voyage and get us to that Houseboat ASAP!" He called out.
"Okay! Okay! No need to panic!" Pegasus called as he pushed Hydrake off him. "Voyage!" Pegasus called out and opened a portal in front of them to the houseboat, "Now, there's no time to lose," He said as they all rushed into the portal before it closed.
They all appeared on the houseboat as they saw King Plastic in front of Anarka, guarding Richter, Zoe, and Chloe, "There ain't no room for polluting pirates on my ship!" Ankara fearlessly told King Plastic.
"Oh, don't worry, soon you and your ship eternal and never-lasted, you'll see," King Plastic said as he did his pose. "Plastic is fantastic!" He exclaimed as he threw his weapon at her.
"Shellter!" Carapace called as he jumped in the way of the lance and deflected it with his shield and King Plastic caught it.
The heroes stood protective infront of the four, "Miraculous Heroes! Boy howdy am I glad to see you," Richter said in relief.
"Go and hide below deck, now! We got this" Purple Tigress called out as Anarka and Richter all ran below deck as the heroes all clashed with King Plastic while also avoiding his strikes.
"Aw man, King Plastic is so light and sturdy he's impossible to hit or to hurt!" Minotaurox complained.
"Ladybug, I think it's time for your Lucky Charm!" Terrapin called out.
"Right. Lucky Charm!" Ladybug exclaimed while tossing her yo-yo in the air as her powers created a plastic bag. "A plastic bag?" She said in confusion.
"Really? More Plastic?!" Caprikid said as he dodged a jab from Plastic King.
"Okay, your powers have a weird sense of humor, Ladybug!" King Monkey said as he struck with his staff.
"This just goes to prove plastic is almighty!" King Plastic exclaimed as he went in and attacked Ladybug, who blocked his lance with the plastic attack as he was pushed back.
Ladybug was surprised that the plastic bag defended her and it wasn't affected as the heroes continued to strike at King Plastic.
"At least it can't be turned into plastic!" Rena Rouge called out.
"Because it's already plastic!" Ladybug said in realization. "Keep him busy team, I got a plan!" She said to them.
"We'll try, but whatever your planning, better do soon!" Minotaurox called out as King Plastic was about to hit him, "Resistance!" He exclaimed, making himself invulnerable to the Venom before he was hit.
Ladybug looked around, noticing King Plastic, the containers of plastic, and then Zoe, "What we need is more plastic, lots and lots of plastic!" Ladybug exclaimed.
"Finally some wise words!" King Plastic eagerly said as the heroes looked at Ladybug in shock.
"Are you serious, Ladybug?" Ms. Hound asked in concern.
"I couldn't be any more serious, doggy," Ladybug said with a smirk. "I need as much plastic as it can be found in the water," She said while looking at Zoe.
Zoe smirked as she nodded and ran below deck before they heard the engines starting up.
King Plastic then charged at the heroes as they went to the rooftop and kept dodging or blocking King Plastic's attacks Chloe came up and gave them a thumbs up as Dragold nodded with a smirk.
"Cat Noir, you're needed in the haul!" Dragold called out as he blocked a strike and kicked King Plastic away. "Minotaurox, King Monkey! Grab King Plastic!" He ordered.
"Got it!/Aye-Aye!" Minotaurox and King Monkey confirmed and grabbed King Plastic by the arms.
"You let your king go, Plastic haters!" King Plastic ordered as he tried to move his arms.
"Not until we get back the last of the Miraculous from Monarch, you walking piece of poison!" Dragold retorted as he took the extraction stance, "Miraculous Extraction!" He exclaimed and thrust his hands forward at King Plastic as he was hit.
King Plastic felt his energy draining as he struggled to break free from the two heroes' grip before Monarch's Mask appeared.
In Monarch's lair, he started screaming in pain while clutching his head tightly, "NOOOO!" He yelled out loudly while the ring of the Bee Miraculous started flickering.
In Pollen's cage, she started glowing brightly as she gave a sweet smile, "I am now free from your tyranny, Monarch. You have lost all of the Miraculous and soon, Nooroo will be saved as well!" She declared she and her Bee Miraculous disappeared in a flash of light as Monarch slammed his fist to the ground in anger.
Back with the others, King Plastic is surrounded by yellow energy as a yellow ball of light shoots out from him and toward Dragold's hand, but then the boat starts shaking as the plastic containers burst into the air, which makes Dragold lose his balance as he didn't catch Pollen and her Miraculous.
"Pollen!" Dragold exclaimed as the kawmi and hairpin fell to the lower deck and the boat kept shaking.
"Abandon ship!" Viperion called out as the heroes all evacuated from the boat.
King Plastic was to make a run for it, but then he was buried underneath the pile of plastic waste.
Ladybug landed on the pile with the lance in front of her as the other stood beside her before she broke the lance in half before the Megakuma flew out of it and she split her Yo-yo, "No more evil-doing for you Megakuma! Time to De-evilize!" Ladybug said, swinging her Yo-yo around and catching the Megakuma, "Gotcha! Bye-bye little Butterfly." She said, releasing the now purified butterfly.
King Plastic then turned back to normal, as Bertrand sat up and looked around at the heap he was in, "What am I doing here? This is disgusting!" He stated at the sight of the trash.
"Exactly, now you know how nature feels, Bertrand," Richter said as he, Anarka, and the rest of them came up.
"Hey, Richter, aren't you or any of these heroes gonna help me?" Bertrand asked in hope.
"Dude, this is exactly what millions of sea animals are going through around the world," Carapace pointed out.
"And they don't always have heroes to offer assistance when they need it," Ryuko added with a firm look.
Caspian crossed his arms, "So, still think Plastic is the best thing in the world?" He asked.
Bertrand thought for a moment before Richter spoke. "Berty, I know that you have a thing for plastic and make a fortune of it, but you need to know that there are very real consequences when you don't put it to good use and throw away way too much." He said, giving his rival a pitying look. "Because when you do, this situation you're in is what's gonna happen to everyone." He added, gesturing to the heap of plastic waste.
Bertrand thought what Richter said to him as he took a breath, "Okay, fine. You're right, Ricky, maybe plastic isn't always so fantastic," He said, now understanding what he was causing as Richter helped his rival up.
"But that's not to say we still can't use plastic, we just gotta manage how much we make, how we use, and how we get rid of it," Richter said as he cleaned Bertrand off, "How about in the future, make the products you manufacture are reusable or recyclable and made from things that decompose," He suggested with a smile.
"You're right. I guess I haven't realized until now what plastic pollution really is," Bertrand said as he looked at his fan with his logo.
Ladybug then brings out a magical charm with King Plastic's color scheme on it and gives it to Bertrand, "Mr. Bertrand, here's a magical charm to help you remember your good resolution," She said as Bertrand clutched the charm in his hand.
"Pound it!" The heroes all exclaimed as they cheered.
"Miraculous Ladybug!" Ladybug exclaimed as she tossed the plastic bag in the air as it restored the damage King Plastic did while also restoring the people who were turned into plastic and fixing up the houseboat.
Chloe then saw something on the floor she recognized it walked to it and picked it up, looking at it longly as she put it in her pocket, "I'll handle you later," She said, knowing that she would do something with it later.
A little bit later after the party at Econ-Tech and Parisians started making Eco-friendly decisions, they gathered in the Miracle Den as Sam went off on Daniel, "What do you mean you lost Pollen?!" Sam demanded.
"I mean I lost her!" Daniel yelled out while clutching his head, "When I extracted Pollen from Bertrand, I was about to grab her and her Miraculous, but when the boat shook and it made the plastic containers explode, I lost the Bee Miraculous in the crazy plastic pile!" He explained. "I checked the whole deck but I couldn't find it anywhere!"
"You lost a Miraculous!?" Marinette yelled in panic.
"Hey, you're the one who lost it first and the rest, Marinette! So don't think I'm the first!" Daniel yelled, which made Marinette flinch a bit while giving a nervous smile. "What are we gonna do?! The Bee Miraculous and Pollen are missing and we don't even know where she is!" He panicked.
"Okay, stop panicking!" Molly shouted, which made the others flinch, "Yes, Pollen is missing, but at least she's out of Monarch's grip. At least she's free, so we just need to find her before she falls into the wrong hands," She stated.
"But how are we gonna find her? She's probably starving and so tired right now after Monarch used her powers," Zoe asked in concern for her Kwami friend.
"Mmm, maybe I can use my Foresight to the exact spot where the Bee Miraculous is," Jacob suggested.
"Or maybe I can grant myself the power to find Miraculous," Marc added.
Chloe then gave a fake cough as they all turned to her looking nervous, "Actually, that won't be necessary." She said as she reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out the Bee Miraculous, "I found the miraculous on the deck after Marinette used her Miraculous Ladybugs."
The others were surprised by what Chloe just said as Marinette walked up to her, "Wait, you found the Bee Miraculous? Again? What are you, a bee finder?" She joked.
Chloe chuckled at that, "I guess I have a nack with these things," She joked as well.
But then Alya had a thought, "Wait, why didn't you tell us you had it all along? You wanna go Queen Bee again?" She asked with a brow.
Chloe clutched her hands on the miraculous as she looked at it longingly before looking at her friends and looking back at the Miraculous again. She had wanted to be Queen Bee again for a long time and now she finally had a chance to be that again right in the palm of her hands.
She then looked to Daniel who gave her a determined look and nodded, saying that she knew what she had to do. Chloe nodded back as she walked past her friend and stood before Zoe. She gave one last look to the hairpin before offering it to her sister, "Here, sis. I think this belongs to you," Chloe said with a warm smile.
Zoe gave a surprised gasp while the others were shocked by this as Zoe looked at her sister, "Y-You're giving me the Bee Miraculous? Just like that?" She asked.
"Yeah. Just like that," Chloe said with a warm smile.
"Wait, Chloe, don't you want to be Queen Bee again?" Nino asked.
"I used to, but after talking to Pollen and thinking back on how I acted as Queen Bee, I think I don't wanna be that person anymore," Chloe said while looking at the hairpin, "I already made enough mistakes in life, so I decided to leave Queen Bee in the past." She said with a small smile to her sister. "I've seen how you fought as Vesperia, Zoe, you're definitely more worthy of being the holder of the Bee Miraculous than I ever was." She said, placing the hairpin in Zoe's hand. "Take good care of Pollen for me."
Zoe looked at the hairpin longly as she looked at her sister with a smile, and hugged her, "Thank you, Chloe. And I promise that I will take care of her," She said as the two sisters held the hug for a moment while the others watched.
The two sisters separated as Zoe put on the hairpin and Pollen appeared with a small smile, "Hello again, my Queen," Pollen said in a polite smile.
"Pollen, it's good to see you!" Zoe cheered as she got Pollen close to her while the Kwami nuzzled Zoe's cheeks before she gave a small laugh.
The group all watched the three while Daniel walked up to Chloe and placed a hand on her shoulder, "You had a chance to be Queen Bee again, Chloe but chose to give Pollen back to her new holder. I'm proud," He said to her.
"Well, that life is over. So it's time to embrace the new," Chloe said while touching Daniel's hand, "Besides when I have you, I already feel like a queen," She said as they gave warm smiles to each other.
They then heard the sound of weeping and they all turned to see Marinette covering her mouth with tears in her eyes while her knees were buckling, "Marinette, what's wrong?" Adrien asked in concern.
Marinette however smiled, "We did it. We finally did it." She said as she looked at her friends tearfully, "I thought we'd never get back all the Miraculous I lost. That I'd never be able to make up for losing the Kawmis." She said as she looked at them in guilt, "I know I shouldn't say this but, I'm so sorry for what I put you all through." She said.
Alya came over and put a hand on Marinette's shoulder, "We all make mistakes, girl," She said with a smile.
"Yeah, you were just following the rules. You never thought you'd lose the Miraculous and the Kwamis would be like that," Nino added.
"None of us did," Nathaniel said as they all nodded in agreement.
"Besides, the fault truly lies with me," Felix said in guilt, "I was the one who gave Monarch the Miraculous in the first place in exchange for the Peacock, but I didn't realize the consequences it would bring for the people of Paris or the Kwamis themselves," He said solemnly.
"Hey, Felix, that's all in the past now. What matters now is that we finally got all the Miraculous back and our team is finally complete!" Kagami declared with her fist up in triumph.
"But we're not done yet, there's still one Miraculous left to recover," Jacob reminded.
"The hardest one of all," Molly said next with a serious look.
"Monarch's Butterfly Miraculous," Kara finished.
"Which is not gonna be extracted by our powers like the others since Monarch actually has that one on him," Sam said while crossing his arms.
"Then how are we gonna get it back?" Rose asked as they all wondered the same and had looks of concern.
Daniel however smiled at them, "I'll tell you how we'll get it, we're gonna keep fighting and find Monarch's hideout. Now that we have the entire team back together, I think it's time that we let the people of Paris know that the Miraculous Heroes are back and here to stay!" He declared as he raised his fist in the air, "Miraculous Heroes forever and always stick together!"
"Miraculous Heroes forever and always stick together!" They all exclaimed with their fists raised, in determination.
It was nighttime as the people of Paris were going about their business before they heard a dragon like-roar, which made them look to see someone jumping off from the Effiel tower and that someone was Ladybug as she landed on the roof of the Jardins du Trocadero and landing next to her was Cat Noir, "People of Paris, we are here to give you all some wonderful news!" Ladybug declared.
"Not so long ago, Ladybug and I promised you, that we wouldn't stop fighting until we got every single Miraculous stole from us back and return the rest of your heroes!" Cat Noir began.
"And now, we will show that we kept our promise, for they have returned!" Ladybug said with her arms out.
Then one by one, each of the Miraculous Members and the Zodiac Team all jumped down beside alongside the Original Duo, "Hello Paris!" Rena Rouge called out.
"Did ya miss us?! Cause we sure missed you!" Carapace said.
"We're sorry that we left you all so defenseless against Monarch!" Vesperia apologized.
"But now we're back and ready for some payback!" Rooster Bold exclaimed.
"We're gonna pay Monarch back for stealing Miraculous!" Minotaurox added.
"We'll always be here to protect you from monsters like him!" Polymouse added.
"And make sure that there will always be hope in Paris!" Ms. Hound said.
"But we can't promise that it will be easy, even with all of us together!" Caprikid told the people.
"We've learned Monarch is still able to give his Villains Miraculous powers even without the Miraculous themselves!" Viperion explained.
"So even with our team whole, Monarch still won't be easy to stop!" Purple Tigress stated.
"But that won't stop us from trying!" Pigella expressed with determination.
"Because we have something that old Monarch doesn't, all of your support!" Pegasus declared.
"And he doesn't have a team to back him up when the going gets tough!" King Monkey added.
"Meaning if we are to defeat Monarch, we need to know we have all of Paris's support!" Ryuko told the people.
"And we must never lose sight of what truly gives us our strength!" Argo stated.
"Our hope!" Caspian exclaimed.
"Our teamwork!" Terrapin added.
"Our friendship!" Hydrake continued.
"Our love for one another!" Phoenix stated with a hand to her chest.
"That's something that can never be taken away or destroyed! And we will not rest until Monarch's reign is finished!" Dragold finished with one of his swords raised.
The crowd below then started cheering for their heroes while the news crew broadcast their speech live so that all of Paris was watching to let them know that all their heroes had returned as they stood tall and with pride while they smiled and waved to the crowd below.
"You heard it here first Parisians! The day we've been waiting for has finally come!" A reporter in the helicopter said, "Ladybug, Cat Noir, and the Zodiac Team have succeeded in taking back all the Miraculous stolen by Monarch and have reforged their team stronger than ever!" She stated with a bright smile.
"With the greatest team of heroes Paris has ever seen now return to us, the day of Monarch's defeat is soon upon us! We must all do our best and send the heroes all our support if Monarch is to be defeated!" The News Reporter continued as Gabriel watched the report on his computer with anger.
Gabriel turned off the news as he punched his computer in anger, "Ladybug's team has finally been reunited! All those Miraculous are back to the holders I can't even remember! Meaning that I have to deal with all of them again!" He yelled in rage.
Nooroo then floated next to him, "Yes, and soon, they will free me too, and your wife shall have the peaceful rest she deserves." He stated.
Gabriel growled in anger at Nooroo's taunts before he sighed and calmed down, "No matter, Project: Perfect Alliance is nearly complete, and I still have the energy of the Miraculous I managed to copy before they were taken back," He said while looking at his rings, "And I still have some time to get them all back." He added while rolling up his sleeve and saw that his Catacylsm illness worsening. "Once Perfect Alliance is complete, I will finally seize not only Ladybug's and Cat Noir's Miraculous but also all Miraculous and make my wish,"
He then gave an evil smirk, "Consider your days' numbered, heroes." He stated.
Even with the whole team together again and his time almost up, Gabriel still has a few tricks up his sleeve and is near the end of his plan to reclaim all the miraculous once and for all.
