The lights went out as the chamber was lowered to surround the ring, ominous light strobed around the steel structure.
Ding, ding, ding.
Justin Roberts: This opening contest is a first round match in the 2023 King of the Chamber tournament! Now in this match, the participants who drew number one and number 2 will start in the ring. The other four combatants will be locked in their respective pods. At every 5 minute intervals, a new player will be released from the pod. This will continue until all six players have been released from their pods. Elimination occurs by pinfall or submission, the last competitor standing will be declared the winner and move on to the final tomorrow night.
Just then the Street Fighter theme song played as a muscly blonde in a red gi walked out, the fans popped for the best friend of Ryu.
Justin: Introducing first, KEEEEEEEN MASTEEEEERS!
Ken does some quick jabs before high kicking the air and finishing off with a front flip downwards kick that sets off the pyrotechnics. The crowd popped while Ken high fives fans before stepping into the chamber, as soon as he stepped into a pod the next theme played.
(Limit Break)
Everyone popped for the theme of a popular Dragon Ball installment, and popped more when a universe 6 saiyan came out. Wearing a traditional saiyan armor under a short sleeve black under shirt and tights, the saiyan smiled and threw up a peace sign.
Justin: Next, from Universe 6... CABBA!
Cabba heads down to the chamber, entering the steel structure. 'Hope all our training didn't go waste master.'

Strutting onto the stage in a fancy suit was WWE's Hollywood a-lister, the Miz. He snarkily grinned before he ushered in the next entrant. Wearing one of Miz's robes over his army uniform, which he also wears in movies.
Justin: Next, from Hollywood California... JOHNNYYYYYYYYY CAAAAAAAAAAGE!
Johnny smirked before he and Miz pulled a spin and point at each other before Johnny handed Miz the robe and shades. "Champagne is waiting for you after the win." Miz says.
"Right on man!" Johnny then strut his way to the ring, happy he's gonna be sitting pretty in one of the pods. Gonna watch the other guys rough each other up before he picks the bones.
(FLASHING LIGHTBULB)
The audience then heard the revving of a chainsaw, the three men in the pods all gained apprehension as outcome a burly man in butcher garb holding a chainsaw, "Is he wearing someone's face?" Johnny questioned.
Justin: Next... from Austin Texas, weighing in at 345 lbs... LEATHERFACE!
Leatherface's chainsaw roared as he swung it around on stage, recreating the ending scene of the original TCM movie. After that he lumbered down to the chamber, still swinging the chainsaw as he stepped into the chamber.
Leatherface made his rounds frightening the other pod residents, Johnny nearly threw up looking at his face up close, Cabba recoiled 'Something is seriously not right with this guy', Ken got into a fight stance as Leatherface shuffled passed his pod.
Once the cannibal was locked away, thank goodness, the first player that will start the match appears.
And to everyone's surprised, from the stage wearing a Batman shirt and a nice pair of dress pants was an actor with a long list of film credits.
Justin: Next... CHRISTIAN BAAAAAAAAAALE
The actor who's played the Dark Knight and American Psycho came out to a good ovation, known for extreme training to get to into characters he is cast as and for doing his own stunts. Bale stepped inside the chamber, a cool gaze that never wavered when he saw the fellows in the pods.
Once Bale stepped into the ropes, the arena heard the theme for AEW's Best Friends. The AEW half of the crowd popped as along with Best Friends and Orange Cassidy, was Ridonculous Racers Geoff and Brody.
"OH SWEEET!" Geoff called as he stood in stage.
"Pretty sweet right dudes?" Trent Barreta asked the surfer dudes.
"Totally!" Brody proclaimed as he and Geoff then did a rock paper scissors game to decide who competes.
"One, two, three shoot!"
"Alright!" Brody lightly hit his rock over Geoff's scissors.
"Ah man, why do I always do scissors?" Geoff questioned himself as Brody went down to the ring.
Justin: And, representing the surfers... BRODY!
Once Brody stepped into a the ring, he and Christian got into stances. Ref Rob Zapota called for the opening bell.
Ding, ding, ding.
Brody and Bale then locked up, the surfer getting the actor in a head lock before the former Batman lifted Brody up for a back suplex. Brody flipping over and sending Bale into the southwest corner.
Brody then ran into a boot from Christian before he hopped onto the second rope and dove at Brody, who countered into a power slam. Brody hooks a quick cover.

Bale gets the first kick out of the match. Both men then got up as Brody looked for a suplex, only for Bale to block and hit a snap suplex to the tanned surfer.
The man who played Patrick Bateman then mounted the surfer and rained elbows before going for an arm bar, Brody gripped his hands to prevent full extension before pushing up to his feet. Bale transitions the hold to a triangle, Brody then hoisted up Bale into a powerbomb but Bale countered with a hurricanrana.
Bale then brings Brody down for a headlock, the surfer trying to keep the pressure off before he pushed up and shot Bale into east ropes. Bale down with a shoulder tackle, Brody then ran the ropes with Bale going under him and leaping over him before he drops Brody with a power slam. Bale hooking the leg.

Brody pops the shoulder up.
Bale then smashes Brody's head into the mat repeatedly before hops onto the southwest middle turnbuckle, Bale leaps off for a double stomp only for Brody to roll out of the way. The actor rolling through before rushing Brody in the corner, the surfer catching Bale with a flatlined into the middle turnbuckle.
Brody then stomps a mud hole into Bale before pressing his knee into his face, Brody then hoisted up Christian and dropped him with a Samoan drop.
Both guys were pretty spent as the timer appeared and counted down.

Lights go down, spotlight alternates the four pods. Moving from Ken to Cabba to Johnny and to Leatherface in a random order until it shines on...

The red gi garbed shotokan master was released and he slingshot himself over the west ropes and hit a double drop kick to Brody and Bale.
The blonde fighter then nailed the two with kicks to the chest before he judo threw Brody to the mat. Ken then followed it up by whipping Christian into the northeast corner, following it up with a running high knee that knocks Bale to the floor.
From behind, Brody grabs Ken and goes for a German suplex- but Ken lands on his feet and kicks him in the side of the head. Ken then attempts a pinfall.

Brody kicks out.
Ken then hits a running drop kick to a seated Bale before he shoots up to the top rope, Brody then nails the blonde fighter with a Superman punch the sends him to the slightly padded steel floor on the north side. Brody then grasped the ropes and hit a springboard tornado DDT, spiking Ken's head on impact.
Brody rose to his feet before he was grabbed by Christian, the surfer them draped the actor on the ropes before setting up for a springboard move. Bale quickly gathered his bearings and caught the Ridonculous race finalist with a high back kick.
This staggers Brody until the Hollywood star climbs up to the middle rope and hooks the surfer up for a suplex, Bale then hoists Brody and slams him down with a middle rope superplex. Christian then rolls through and drops up Brody with a falcon arrow, hooking the leg for the pin.

Bale groans before he sees Ken getting up, he then runs the ropes before hitting a rope to Ken Masters. Christian then picks Ken up and slams him into the chains surrounding the chamber, Ken then staggers into the northeast pod before the man who played an American Psycho charged at him with a knee.
Only for Ken to move out of the way to leave Bale's knee to strike the pod, the actor cries in pain as he holds his knee before Ken delivers a shoryuken to knock Bale down. Ken then climbs up to the top rope as Brody stands up, the martial artist then leaped off and hit a flying thrust kick to Brody.
Ken then goes "WOOOOOOO!" like Sting before he turns around into Christian Bale leaping off the top rope and hitting a block Buster. As all three current players are down the clock returns to signal the next participant.

The lights once again go dark as the three remaining pods get flashed again in a random sequence before ending on... Cabba!
The Universe 6 Saiyan then sprints out of the pod and hits all three of his opponents with running high knee strikes, he then did a fireman's take down on Ken before flipping into a drop kick to the blonde's face.
Cabba then ducked a lariat by Brody before running off the south ropes and giving a tilt a whirl head scissors that drapes Brody on the second rope, the saiyan then runs off the ropes to deliver a tiger feint kick that knocks him back.
Cabba's momentum was stopped when he steps through the ropes and Christian kicks Cabba back to the outside, the actor then steps through and slams Cabba's head into the steel chain structure before grading his face along the chains. Bale then whips Cabba into the pod, only for the saiyan to leap off the pod and into a disaster kick to Bale.
Ken then grabs the ropes and attempts a springboard, only for Cabba to catch him and toss him into the chains. Which the martial artist lands on like a monkey and starts to climb up, kicking away Cabba as he tries to grab the red garbed fighter. Ken then shimmies his way onto the top of the northeast pod.
Brody then leaps up onto the top turnbuckle and grabs Ken's throat before tossing him off the pod, the blonde crashing onto the mat below in the center of the ring. Brody then looked up to the top as the crowd cheered, "Oh duuuuuude!" Brody then climbed onto the top of the pod and threw up the goats, "DUUUUUDE!"
"DUUUUUUUDE!" The crowd cheered back as Brody then LEAPED OFF THE POD AND HIT A SWANTON BOMB ONTO KEN!
"HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!"
"THAT WAS AWESOME!" Geoff screamed.
Brody convulsed upon impact before drapes an arm over Ken's chest.
Rob begins the count.

"Yes! One down!" Johnny cheered, Leatherface banged on the pod.
Brody then got up and was met with a series of kicks by Cabba, before he blocked one and responded with a forearm. Cabba then bicycle kicked Brody into the ropes, rebound Lariat takes out Cabba. Brody was then hit with a crossbody by Bale, only to roll through it and hoist Christian on his shoulders and dropped him with an attitude adjustment.
All three men were down as the clock returns once again in the match.

The remaining two players left, lights went to Johnny, to Leatherface. Johnny. Leatherface. Back and forth lasted for about 8 seconds before...

The MK actor comes in and pins Cabba.

Third times the charm with Bale.

Bale gets the shoulder up.
Johnny groaned before he tops Cabba and rains shots on him, he then puts the saiyan in a headlock. "That's right Johnny, keep the pace slow and steady!" Miz called out.
"What do you think I'm doing?" Johnny remarks as he wrings the neck of the saiyan. Cabba then slowly gets to his knees before Johnny elbows him in the back of the neck, locking in the headlock again.
Meanwhile, Bale and Brody slowly get up and are punching away at each other. The two that started this tournament off then exchanged forearms before Bale takes over with a knee to the gut of Brody. Christian then pushed the surfer into the corner and thrusted his shoulders into Brody's midsection.
Cabba on the other hand managed to get his feet under him and elbow Cage in the midsection before he lifts up Johnny and drops him with a belly to back suplex. Johnny pushes himself up as Cabba kips up and hits Johnny with an enziguri, he then grabs Johnny with an exploder suplex into the southwest corner.
Then at the same time, Bale and Cabba then run at each other, hook their arms and spun around before running back at their targets. Christian trying to hit Brody with a corner clothesline, only to get hit with a German suplex. And Cabba hits a Haluva kick to Johnny, the saiyan tosses Johnny out of the corner and dials up for a Buzzsaw kick.
Johnny ducks the kick and gets in a splits, Cabba spins around before he is punched in the nards by Cage. Cabba wheezed before he was rolled up in a small package.

Miz clapped at his protégé's actions as Cabba rolls out of the ring, Johnny chuckles as he stands. The actors pointing finger guns at each other before Johnny turns around and catches Brody with a power slam. He then whips Brody so hard into the northwest corner he dropped to the floor, he did the same thing to Bale on the opposite corner.
Johnny chucked and posed off for the crowd as the clocked rolled around, and as the crowd counted down it dawned on him that there was one man left. And he was not a man, he was a monster.
BRRRRRRR
Leatherface didn't wait for the pod to open, he kicked the pod door off its hinges as he brought in his trademarked weapon. Johnny tries to rush him, but Leatherface grabs Johnny by the face and smashes him into the Southwest pod.
Leatherface then stepped over the ropes and grabbed Brody's throat and chokeslammed the surfer into the mat, he then did a one arm back body drop to Bale. Leatherface then grabbed Christian as he got up and tossed him into the southwest corner, the cannibal then hit Bale with a running hip attack into the corner before he blasts Brody with a big boot. Christian dropped into to his bum in the corner, Leatherface roared gargily before he hit a running cannonball senton to the actor.
Leatherface then got up as Brody pulled himself back up using the ropes, the human flesh mask wearing killer then grabbed the surfer's head before he tossed him over the northeast turnbuckle and colliding into the pod. The burly man then winded up his free arm before he ran the ropes and hit a thunderous discus clohtesline to a staggering Christian Bale, the killer then pressed a hand on Bale's chest.

Leatherface then stood up and revved up his chainsaw, the roar of the saw was matched by the roar of the crowd. Once the chainsaw got roaring Johnny pulled himself out of the broken pod and into the corner of the ring, Leatherface then roared as he brought his chainsaw towards Johnny. The actor quickly rolling out of the way as the chainsaw slashed off the top turnbuckle.
Johnny then signalled for a recovering Brody, the surfer then got to the northwest corner and ran to the other side of the ring. Leaping off a kneeling Johnny Cage to knee Leatherface in the back, the horror movie monster hitting the post face first. Leatherface dropped the chainsaw which Cage tossed away, his other adversary Brody then slammed Leatherface's face into the plexi glass. Brody then wrapped his arms around Leatherface's waist and hit a german suplex that sent Leatherface into the center of the ring.
Johnny Cage then super kicked Leatherface's face, followed by Brody with a superman punch to the Texan murderer. The earthrealm actor and surfer then took turns hitting heavy shots to the cannibal. High kick from Johnny, European uppercut from Brody, spinning back kick from Johnny, roundhouse punch from Brody, Disaster Kick from Johnny, back elbow from Brody.
The assault finishes off with Johnny Cage hooking up Leatherface's arms, and Brody running the ropes and leaping over the two and hitting a front flip cutter combined with a skull crushing finale on Leatherface. The two then turned Leather over and hooked his legs.

Justin: Leatherface has been eliminated.
The two then got off as Leather was slowly crawling out of the chamber. As the door opened to let Leatherface put the Miz tries to run in, only for Geoff to pull him back to ringside. The two then get in a scuffle as they head back to the locker room.
The final two players in the starting first round chamber match then exchanged elbows as the crowd was split down the middle.
Johnny then kneed Brody in the gut and tackled him over the ropes to the south chamber floor. Johnny then slammed Brody into the chains before Brody did the same to Johnny, Johnny then reversed a fireman's carry into a spine buster on the floor.
Johnny then tried to fling Brody into the chains, but he leaped onto the wall and climbed up to the top of the southwest pod, Cage followed suit.
Once the two were up top, they exchanged heavy blows. But then Johnny headbutted Brody before doing his splits low blow move on Brody, incapacitating him as Johnny looked down at the mat below. "Let's end this with a bang." Johnny then lifted up Brody with a fireman's carry, giving a mocking Cena hand motion to the camera.
This gave Brody a chance as he blasted Cage's neck with elbows, bringing the Cagester down to a knee before Brody took control. "Agreed dude!" He hooked Johnny up and hit a SUPERPLEX OFF THE TOP OF THE POD!!!!! AND THEN ROLLED THROUGH AND SPIKED JOHNNY WITH A BRAINBUSTER BEFORE SHOOTING UP AND DRIVING CAGE WITH A FALCON ARROW!
Brody hooks the leg.

Brody panted as he let go of Johnny's leg.
Justin: Here's your winner and moving onto the King of the Chamber finals... BRODY!
Brody lowly chuckled as he got on his knees, adrenaline waring off as the crowd cheered. "That... was... EPIC!" Brody celebrated as the bracket appeared on the Titan Tron, as one of the six golden slots in the middle was then filled with Brody's name.
"And as you can see, Surfer Bro Brody became our first finalist in what is shaping to be a dangerously epic tournament." Michael Cole stated on commentary.
"Big shots, people falling off pods, and a giant flinging a chainsaw!" Taz recounted the highlights of the match, "What more do you need in an opening contest?"
"Brody literally had to fight for his life to go the distance, and he did not disappoint. And credit to all the other guys in the chamber, cause they were just as hungry as he was." Simon stated.
"So how would you rate that match Simon?" Cole asked the man from WhatCulture Wrestling.
"Well Michael, this opening match is definitely getting an up." Simon held a finger up as a green arrow appeared on the screen.
"And guys in just a few moments we will have the opening first round match in our Queen of the Chamber live!" Michael said as we went to an ad.
