On the next day, Mei was at school playing dodge ball with her friends and classmates. Sonic and Peke were on top of the school building observing them.
Mr. Chris Kieslowski blow the whistle and everything ran for the dodge balls that were in the middle of the line.
Mr. Chris Kieslowski: Eyes on the balls, guys! Be water! Be...
His sentence was cut due to a boy getting hit with a ball.
Mei grunts from what happened last night and said.
Mei: The presentation was bomb-dot-com. I cited all my sources. I had sparklers.
Mei grunts and throws the ball.
Mei: And she still said no!
Priya was dodging the dodge balls and said.
Priya: My parents said I could go when I'm 30.
Abby used two dodge balls as shields and hit 2 dodge balls with it and said.
Abby: Mine called it stripper music. What's wrong with that?
Abby growls and grabs a dodge ball with her mouth.
Miriam catches a dodge ball in mid-air and said.
Miriam: Mine said yes, but I have to buy the ticket. Who the heck's got that kind of cash?
Miriam yelps from ducking from a dodge ball.
Sonic overheard them talking about a concert and turned towards Peke.
Sonic: Ah... Peke? What are they talking about?
Peke: Oh yeah, this happened last night when we were on the roof of the temple.
Sonic: And you didn't say anything.
Peke: Well I was going to, but I didn't want to ruin the moment last night. Listen a concert isn't so bad it's cool.
Sonic: As soon as we are done here, you are telling Tails and I what you were hiding last night.
As soon as Sonic was done talking with Peke they looked back at Mei and her friends who were still playing dodge ball.
Mei: I know my mom's worried, but sometimes she's just so... *Mei sighs* So...
Miriam turned around and saw Ming and pointed at here and said.
Miriam: Wacko?
Mei, Priya and Abby turned around as well and saw her wearing sunglasses and observing them with binoculars from inside her car. The guard recognized her and approached her.
Guard: Ma'am! Please!
Ming started her car and drove away.
Guard: I'm sorry, Mrs.Lee! I see you!
Tyler started laughing after seeing Mei's mom and teased her.
Tyler: Little momma's girl.
Everyone one was looking at Tyler as he continued to laugh. Mei started to get angry as Tyler continued laugh.
Tyler: No wonder Mei is such a loser.
Sonic and Peke saw this and looked at Mei that had an angry face.
Sonic: Hey... Peke you might wanna get down there.
Peke had a frightening look on his face.
Peke: I think she's... mad.
Tyler continued to laugh as Mei was squishing the ball on her hand.
Mei growling in angry and her right hand turned into a red panda hand and threw the ball at Tyler at high speed.
Peke: Oh crap she's mad!
Tyler screamed as he saw the ball coming towards him at high speed and ducked to avoid getting hit.
Tyler noticed there was a large shadow figure on the ground and saw that it was Peke, who stopped the ball at high speed that was still spinning in his hands for a couple of seconds until it finally stopped.
Peke: Wow, that was... that was a good throw. But know this I'm stronger than you.
Tyler: Hey your that hero that came out on the news.
Peke: In the flesh kid.
Another boy approached Peke and said.
Boy: What's your name hero?
Peke did a heroic pose and said.
Peke: Just call me Reptile.
Tyler and the other boy had stars in their eyes when Peke said his hero name.
Meanwhile Mei was wondering why Peke was here.
Miriam: Wow, Mei not only did he save Tyler's life. But he also stopped your shot.
Abby: Yeah, he really is strong.
Back to Peke
Tyler: You've got super strength. What other powers do you have?
Peke: Allow me to show you.
Peke sleeved his jacket sleeve up and snakes started coming out of his arm while still attached to his arm.
Tyler: That is so cool. What else can you do?
One of his snakes slithered into his hand and transformed it into a dodge ball.
Peke: I can also transform my snakes into weapons or basically anything I want it to be. Pretty cool, right.
Another snake came out of Peke's hand and transformed it into a pen and signed the dodge ball.
Peke: What's your name, kid?
Tyler: It's Tyler.
Peke: Well Tyler, here you go. A signed dodge ball by Reptile.
Peke gives the signed dodge ball to Tyler and he can't help but to smile.
Peke: Does anybody else want one?
Boy: Can you sign my shirt.
Peke signs his shirt.
Boy: So cool!
Peke: Anybody else?
A laser hits the pen disintegrating from Peke's hand.
Peke: Hey!
A good number of badniks along with the octopus bot appeared and everyone was frightened.
Mei: Eggman is back.
Peke: Everybody get inside. I'll hold them off.
Everyone ran inside, but before Mei and her friends could get there, a badnik shot a laser line, setting it on fire, trapping them outside with Peke against the badniks.
Mei: Peke were trapped!
Peke: Crap, just stay back. Come on, you tin cans, let's brawl!
Before Peke could attack, Sonic jumped from the roof and homing attacked all the badniks at an incredible speed that his body turned lightning while homing attacking leaving the octopus bot as the last one remaining.
After the homing attack Sonic landed right next to Peke.
Sonic: Now that's how you make an entrance.
Peke: Impressive! Now it's just us and him.
Sonic: Let's take this octopus down.
Peke: Right!
Both rushed towards the octopus bot and attacked while Mei and her friends looked on.
Mei: Did you see how Sonic took down all those robots.
Miriam: Yeah. He's not just fast but he's really strong.
Priya: Girls, I don't think we got nothing to worry about they will protect us.
Abby had stars in her eyes and said.
Abby: He's not just that he's awesome!
Mei, Miriam and Priya looked at Abby with weird faces.
Abby: What? He really is.
Meanwhile Sonic and Peke were still fighting the octopus bot.
Peke: Man, this thing is tough!
Peke created a laser gun with his snakes and shot it a couple times that the shots bounced right of it.
Sonic: Careful Peke it has a deflector shield.
Peke: Crap!
Sonic homing attacked it but did no damage to it and bounced right of it.
Sonic landed right next to Peke.
Peke: Ok, how are we supposed to beat this thing?
Sonic: I don't know he usually never has a shield to defend itself.
Peke: Looks like Eggman made some upgrades on that thing to go toe to toe with us, Huh?
Sonic and Peke got distracted for too long that the octopus bot swiped it's tentacle at them and sent them flying into a wall.
Mei and her friends went up an unconscious Sonic and Peke.
Mei: They're unconscious!
Abby: Sonic, wake up, wake up, wake up!
Miriam: Peke, you've got to get up! Peke!
Mei was still trying to wake Sonic up and noticed that Priya wasn't with them.
Mei: Hey, where's Priya?
Priya screaming in fear*
The octopus bot had grabbed Priya with its tentacle.
Mei: Priya, no!
Abby: Hey, let her go!
Octopus bot grabs Abby next.
Abby screaming in fear*
Miriam: Well, looks like that wasn't the best-
Octopus bot grabs both Miriam and Mei.
Miriam: idea!
Mei: Let... us... go!
Mei and her friends struggled to free themselves from the tentacles. The octopus bot started squishing the girls with its tentacles.
Mei, Miriam, Priya, and Abby screaming in pain*
Mei and Abby: Soniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiic!
Miriam and Priya: Peeeeeeeeeeeeke!
Sonic and Peke slowly opened their eyes and saw their friends being attacked by the octopus bot. Sonic got angry and supercharged himself with lightning with a spin dash. Peke got angry too and transformed into his six-arm serpent form.
Sonic and Peke: Let... our... friends... goooooooooooooooo!
Both Sonic and Peke dashed at full power that they managed to destroy the tentacles and free Mei and her friends from the octopus bot. Sonic grabbed Mei and Abby while Peke grabbed Miriam and Priya from the air to prevent them from falling to their deaths.
Mei: Thanks, Sonic.
Abby: Your amazing Sonic.
Miriam: I knew you wouldn't give up, Peke.
Peke: Thanks.
Priya: Not to mention your strong.
Priya was touching and feeling Peke's muscles.
Sonic and Peke land safely on their feet and place Mei and her friends down.
Sonic: Peke, you saw how we damaged it?
Peke: Yeah, with our full power, and we can beat it. Sonic, I'm gonna need you to charge up as soon as you're ready. I'll toss you with all my strength, and I'm sure we can bring it down.
Sonic: That's the best idea you've ever had.
Sonic started charging up.
Peke: I'll keep it busy.
The octopus bot swinged it's two last remaining tentacles at Peke but was able to avoid them with ease.
Peke: Ha, you're too slow.
Sonic chuckled after hearing Peke say his catchphrase.
Sonic: Hey, that's my line.
Miriam: Show it who's boss Peke.
Sonic finished charging and said.
Sonic: Peke, here I come!
Peke shot a snake that wrapped the two tentacles of the octopus bot together. Sonic launched himself straight to Peke and catched him.
Peke: Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Peke jumped into the air and did a horizontal spin while holding onto Sonic to charge even more power to the attack.
Peke: King Cobra: Lighting bolt!
Peke throws Sonic straight at the octopus bot that breaks through the shield and straight through the octopus bot exploding on impact.
Peke: Yeaaaaaaah!
Sonic: We did it!
Peke: Up top.
Sonic jumped and high five Peke. Peke looks back and sees that the fire is still going.
Peke: Oh, we forgot about that. I'll take care of this.
Peke pulled out a snake from his arm and turned it into a hose that firefighters use. He connected it to a fire hydrant and watered-down all the fire.
Peke whistled while putting out the fire*
Peke finished putting out the fire.
Peke: There, all better.
Sonic: Nice.
All the kids came out of the school.
Peke: Is everyone all right?
Everyone cheered*
Peke: Thank you, thank you.
A boy from the crowd came up to Peke and said.
Boy: Excuse me, Mr. Reptile, can we have your autograph
Peke: Sure, kid.
Peke was signing autographs for the boys. While the girls approached Sonic and said.
Girl: Mr. Sonic can we get a photo.
Sonic: Sure.
Girl: Everybody pose.
Sonic did his signature pose with a thumbs up while the other girls posed as well.
Another girl came by asked for a photo as well.
Girl: Now it's our turn to take a photo.
Sonic: *Sigh* This is gonna take a while.
10 minutes later...
Sonic and Peke were still at the school signing autographs and taking pictures.
Sonic's wrist communicator watch ringed.
Sonic: It's Tails.
Sonic answered.
Sonic: Hey Tails, what's happening?
Tails: Sonic head back to the temple. I've got something important to show you.
Sonic: I'll be there in a flash. Hey Peke, it's time to go.
Peke: *Sigh disappointed* What already, man, you always rush everything. Sorry kids, but don't worry we will be back another time.
Peke transformed into six-arm serpent and flew away. Sonic ran with his super speed.
Sonic and Peke chatted while on their way to the temple.
Peke: Admitted Sonic. Everyone loved us.
Sonic: *chuckle* They sure did, Peke. They sure did.
Peke: You know I've been thinking which one of us is stronger?
Sonic: Well theirs only one way to find out.
Peke: Wait don't tell me... we fight each other!
Sonic: Exactly.
The temple was up ahead of them.
Peke: Hey look there's the temple.
Sonic: Last one there pays for the food bill.
Both went at max speed and got there at the same time ending in a draw.
Peke: Looks like it ends in a draw.
Sonic: I'm still faster than you cause that wasn't my full speed.
Peke: Oh really, because I haven't shown you all my tricks yet.
Sonic: Alright, you can show them to me when we fight, but right now, let's go see Tails.
Tails was sitting on the couch with his computer on his lap.
Sonic and Peke entered the house.
Sonic: Hey Tails, you rang.
Tails: Yeah, take a look at this.
Tails gave Sonic and Peke a calendar of 4-Town's day arrivals.
Peke: The arrivals of 4-Town. The concert that Mei and her friends want to attend. And it's arriving in Toronto in a few more weeks.
Tails: Yep. Annnnnnd.
Tails looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
Peke: What? Why are you looking at me like that.
Sonic did the same.
Peke: What?
Sonic: Um, remember what you told me back at the school.
Peke: About the one where Mei mentioned that she and her friends wanted to go to a concert.
Sonic: Yep.
Tails: Don't you think it would have been better to share that information with us last night.
He got nervous and said.
Peke: Well... let's just say that I overheard a conversation between Mei and Ming.
Tails: Annnnnnd?
Peke: And she no because if she releases the panda during the concert, everyone will be terrified.
Tails: Exactly!
Peke: I mean, look at these guys. Five handsome boys, Robaire, Aaron Z, Aaron T, Jesse, and Tae Young. No wonder Mei and her friends can't resist these guys.
Tails: That's the problem! We can't let Mei go to this concert or there could be trouble.
Peke: What kind of trouble?
Sonic: Well, remember when we were chasing her through the city, and anyone who saw her looked terrified.
Peke: That was a different problem. The one problem we are facing is how long can we keep this up from letting anyone else who sees her as a panda before the day of the ritual? I mean, the ritual is in a few more days. And another thing Eggman is still out there. I'm trying to make sure that Sonic and I are not vulnerable!
Sonic: He's not wrong. Tails we did have another fight against Eggman's army and his Octopus bot. He also made it stronger than ever before it took a lot of our power to defeat it.
Peke: That's why I suggested we should train to get stronger.
Tails: We guys could do that, but...
Sonic: But what...
Tails: You guys still have to go back to Mei and the others and tell her what would happen if she goes to that concert.
Sonic: *Sigh* Ok, come on Peke lets go.
Both Sonic and Peke went out the front door.
