After six months since the Season 6 finale and almost a month after the Season 7 preview which also acted as a way to connect this story and the Misty Chronicles further, it is time. Welcome, everybody, to the "Advanced Challenge" arc of "A Long Distance Ship"! This is going to be special, everybody. After a brief reunion with Misty, Ash is going to continue his journey through Hoenn while telling Misty all about it, and I am giving you an exclusive look into what he has to say! And let me tell you, this season has Ash make some major steps. Three new badges, a new Pokemon, and even a couple of evolutions. And that isn't all, as May is also going to make major strides in her goal of becoming a top coordinator. And one of them is going to be happening in this very chapter. What is it? Subject: A New Pokemon for May

Hey, Misty. May, Max, Brock, and I have made some more progress on our way towards Fallarbor Town and May's next Pokemon contest. A while after we last left each other, May found a new Pokemon that she wanted while doing some training in the form of Skitty. It took a little bit of bonding with the Skitty (and a battle with Jessie, who also wanted the Pokemon), but she eventually got the Pokemon! In the following days, we ran into a familiar face from earlier on in my Hoenn journey before arriving here at the Pokemon Center. Here we met a boy who is very similar to Max (and even had the same name as him)! Naturally, our Max and the new Max did not get along at all at first, but an encounter with Team Rocket helped change it. You see, the other Max befriended a Surskit, and when the TRio wanted the Surskit for themselves, the two of them teamed up to hold them off before Brock and I arrived to help May and the Maxes. Anyways, we are nearing Fallarbor Town, so expect me to be there when I send you my next email. Talk to you later!

Subject: A New Pokemon for May

Hey Ash! My sisters and I have made it back to Cerulean City safely, and I am ready to take on challengers again. It's cool that May captured another Pokemon, and by the looks of it, I think that Skitty is very much a Pokemon that fits her. It looks so cute! The Luvdisc have adapted well to living in the gym, and they are happy to meet all of my Pokemon that I have captured. Daisy's doesn't seem that interested in mine, however. Anyways, I am glad to hear that Max has made a new friend, and Togetic and I cannot wait to hear more about May's Pokemon Contest. Let's hope that she wins this time…
