Sorry for the long ass notes
I do NOT own the Majikoi franchise, it belongs to Minato Soft. I am merely a fan of their work and somebody who hopes for a Yoshitsune After game from the bottom of their heart. I really want to do something about it but since there is not much I can do (I don't happen to have the spare money to commission a whole game or can't even draw a stickman) I wanted to write a fanfiction. I tried to analyze the way the game's novel is written and have come to a conclusion myself, I will do my best to write/make it feel like it's a visual novel (Yamato Perspective).
Also from what I have observed a significant amount of people who are into visual novels have some amount of Japanese knowledge, I am not claiming to know Japanese please do mind, but I use "weeb" vocabulary like "Nee" "Nii-chan" or "Oto-oto" (how Momoyo refers to Naoe). Yoshitsune in particular is kind of tricky at some points because she refers to herself as "Yoshitsune" but please do leave me a review/criticism (please address the exact places where it is written badly) whether it may be about it or the narrative, if I see any room for improvement I may go for it. I also have the slice of life moments and the outline of the work but I haven't thought much about the plot.
The heat that had bled from summer into autumn slowly began to abate.
I, Naoe Yamato, had a girlfriend. Her name was Minamoto Yoshitsune and she was a hero of Japan Which, come to think of it, was pretty mind-blowing.
Speaking of Yoshitsune...
"The leaves must be close to turning, don't you think, Yoshinaka-san?"
"The autumn leaves in Kiso are terribly beatiful. I would love for everyone to come with me to see them." said the girl holding Yoshitsune's hand and continued "Yoshitsune, I would especially love for you to see my hometown."
"By all means, yes" my girlfriend said with the cutest expression known to mankind The two Genji got along perfectly.
They were the best of friends.
In fact, I was even a little jealous of them.
"Ah! All of our problems are finally behind us;why can't I just enjoy that?" My thoughts blurted out of my mouth
"Dude, I so get you" Benkei staggered on the road beside me as she said so.
"They're even holding hands... Mngh!
As expected from Benkei, she just got the words from my mouth
"Yamato and Benkei, you should come too!" said Yoshitsune as she glanced at me and Benkei
"... Yeah, we'll come."
"Of course"
Benkei and I, who were defenseless to her, said yes ever so easily.
"Yay!" she responded with joy "And she can't forget Yoichi." She said to the boy, who was walking a short distance from the rest of us and gave no reaction.
"Your love for Benkei knows no depths. You could make a person jealous."
"Her heart and Yoshitsune's are one, you see."
"...Heheheh. The way my heart lights up when she says that must make me the cutest girl in the world."
"All's well that ends well, eh?"
"You keep talking like everything's over and done with, but it seems to me like we're just getting started. You've taken only the first steps up the great Genji hill."
She was right. We were only now beginning to walk our new lives, side by side.I looked at Yoshitsune, and she flashed me a smile.
That was all it took for strength to well up within me.
I could hear the melody of a sweet sunny day after seeing that smile as well an iron will that spurred from the bottom of my heart.
Her ebullient grin proved infectious, and we were soon smiles all around I'd learned from her so much about what it means to be human She had my utmost respect and a smile I wanted to never fade. For that, I had to protect that precious smile.
I, Naoe Yamato, had a girlfriend. Her name was Minamoto Yoshitsune and she was a hero of Japan.
Which meant I too had to live my life as a hero- as her hero.
