The terrain was abysmally simple. Some hills, a fountain, all ash-colored and unspectacular.

On top of that, it was raining, and the drops of water did nothing less than annoy the xiaolin dragons. Well, all dragons, except one.

Omi was bursting with energy, trying to count all the drops of water because Rai had dared him to. He was also counting with his eyes closed, allowing his tiger instincts to take control.

"A drop of water just hit Clay," Omi said in a sage voice.

"Dude, I could have guessed that too," Rai answered, rolling his eyes.

"There is no guessing, my close friend Raimundo. It is all thanks to my tiger instincts."

"Yeah, right!" Raimundo yawned.

"Leave him alone, Rai. At least he's doing something productive instead of arguing," Kim told him while rolling her eyes.

"Wow, counting raindrops. Soooo productive," Rai said while grinning.

Kim hit him playfully on the arm and Rai exaggerated the level of pain he was in.

"You did it again, partner," Clay said while shaking his head.

"Did what?" Rai asked.

"Tried to start an argument," Clay replied kindly.

"I did not!"

"I knew you would say that!" Omi replied making everyone laugh.

"Look sharp, kids. It's very near!" Dojo said, getting their attention.

"Which wu is it this time?" Rai asked.

"It is the Mirror of Bonding. Dashi made it specifically for Chase Young and Master Monk Guan, whenever their...explosive arguments took place," Dojo said.

"Oh, yes! The Mirror of Bonding. The scrolls in the temple say that once used it absorbs anyone whom the mirror is pointed at and someone they cherish but have disagreements with. However that person must be as fast as thunder to avoid it!"

"As fast as lightning!" Rai corrected.

"That too."

"Um, Dojo? Where exactly is the mirror?" Kim asked.

"This way! Or, or that way! Or...give me a break kids, it's been a long time since I've hid it. But it's close!" Dojo said.

The monks looked at each other and shrugged. Dojo flew in the air with a determined look on his face.

There seemed to be no end of boring sites, until something bright, tall and purple began gleaming on a hill.

"I reckon it's there!" Clay said.

"Let's get it!" Rai shouted as they got off of Dojo.

Omi was almost there, when a suave voice interrupted him.

"Not so fast, little one," Chase Young said, jumping above the monks and rolling in the air, landing gracefully on his feet.

"Chase Young! Prepare to suffer a most humiliating defeat!" Omi yelled confidently.

"Tough words for such a little opponent," Chase answered and Omi pursed his lips.

"Why are you even here?" Rai asked surprised.

Chase raised an elegant eyebrow.

"I thought you said wu are only toys one resorts to when they lack martial arts prowess," Rai said.

Chase grimaced then responded "This blasted mirror of bonding had caused no end of trouble. If you were wise, you would give it to me to destroy it."

"What in tarnation?" Clay asked.

"No way!" Raimundo shouted.

"Have it your way! Omi, I challenge you to a...!" Chase began to say before the mirror began to point at Omi.

"Mirror of Bonding!' Jack Spicer's voice said from behind the mirror, stunning everyone.

"Spicer you fool!" Chase shouted as Omi, and then Chase began to be pulled into the mirror.
