Somewhere under the pale moonlight of Remnant the sounds of cheers and laughs could be heard in celebration. Sounds of partying teens echoed through the beach house owned by none other than the parents of Weiss Schnee and from the sounds from it everyone was having a blast. All except one person. Blake Belladonna left the rowdy environment for a breezier and calmer one. She walked outside on the balcony of the Schnee beach house, letting out a sigh of relief. She was free of the chaos and cannabis smoke that filled both the house and her lungs. She checked her watch to see that it was 11:38pm at night. Usually, she'd be asleep during this hour but the wild concoction she, along with Yang, created in kitchen would assure that none of them would be getting tired anytime soon. Blake didn't mind though because the night was young, and it was filled with stars. Occasionally, when it came time for the team to turn in for night from doing missions or goofing off, she would spend a bit of time to herself to stargaze. Along side reading it was one of her favorite things to do. However, it was a hobby that was newly discovered with the assistance of her former love. Ah how she remembered her former love. She would always remember how they stargazed together whenever she'd have a bad day and just needed someone to talk to. It was expected since HE was the one who introduced her to the concept of stargazing. She also remembered the good times they had doing many other things like fishing, riding their bikes through, cooking with her parents, and on occasions they would even read together. She still remembers the time he made her a little comic book made with just individual pieces of paper stapled to one side pages so that it resembled a makeshift comic book. She remembered it all..even the bad times. Suddenly, her thoughts were interrupted by someone tapping her shoulder. She looked back to see yang, smiling at her while waving a can of beer in her face.
"You *hiccup* look l-like you could use one o-of these bad boyssss." Yang slurred.
"Oh. Thanks Yang." Blake thanked, pinching her nose shut so that she wouldn't have to smell the strong alcohol coming from Yangs breath.
She took the can and began to drink it. Yang, as always, was impressed by her ex-girlfriend's ability to just down any alcoholic drink that's presented to her. Once she was done, she handed the empty can back to Yang. "Want anot*hiccup*er one blake?" she asked drunkenly. Blake waved her off.
"Ugh and turn into you right now. You look like you can barely stand hehe. But thanks..I'm fine Yang. Go back in and enjoy the party." Blake encouraged.
Yang did just that and left Blake alone with her thoughts and the stars to guide them.
However, her thoughts were guided back to memories of her former love. Her ex-boyfriend Sun Wukong. She hadn't seen him in gods knows how long after that unfortunate night at one of Weiss's parties. She wondered how he was doing or if she would ever get the chance to see him again. Just then, she was interrupted by yet another person tapping her on her shoulder. "oh my gods Yang if you wave another can of beer at me I'm gonna vomit on you an-" Blake stopped as she saw Weiss and Nora staring at her in confusion.
"Woah easy their kitty cat it's just us." Weiss reassured.
Blake stared for a minute and chuckled. "Oh, my gods Weiss." She apologized. Weiss walked over to her and placed her arms on the balcony's railings. She began to watch the sky alongside Blake.
"Hehe it's okay. From the looks of things, a drink is the last thing you and miss firebrand inside need. I just wanted to check up on you and see if things were okay. You been out here for a while now just looking up at the sky." Weiss explained with a bit of worry in her tone.
"I'm fine..I'm just getting a little bit tired of the drinks for tonight." She said before turning back to look out at the sky again.
"I hear you and it's quite understandable," Weiss began. "That little concoction you and yang made in there turned Neptune, Sage, and Scarlet into completely different men."
"Neptune drinks?" Blake asked.
"He does now."
Weiss and Blake burst into laughter before returning to gaze out at the stars. There was something on Weiss's mind though. Something she had felt uncomfortable to ask but decided to just go for it and ask. She just had to know. "You know…it's still odd seeing Neptune, Sage, and Scarlet here without their leader," She began. "The parties get kinda..stale without Sun here to liven things up for us. I can't believe I'm going to say this but I miss him..a lot." Blake let out a sigh. Her gaze shifted from the stars to the rough but elegant looking sand that was now lit up by the moon's radiance. Her emotions shifting from the joys the drinks provided her now to that of sadness from past fling.
"In all honesty Weiss…I miss him too." Blake said, her voice barely audible.
"Do you want to talk about him?" Weiss asked.
Blakes expression didn't change. Instead, she just released a light sigh of breath. Weiss knew she had done it now. At that very moment she regretted asking about Sun. How she wishes she could turn back time to stop herself from bringing him up again. She wanted to run back inside to avoid the awkwardness that she created but couldn't find herself to do so. She could sense that Blake was feeling down about Sun and thought it would be distasteful to just leave her on the balcony alone. She then took a deep breath and exhaled as if she had something to get off her chest. "You know..if you aren't comfortable speaking about it I won't force you to-"
"Weiss I…I cheated on him." Blake replied, sounding as if she was on the verge of tears.
"…. you…what?"
Blake then turned to face Weiss. Tears began to streak down her face.
"oh…..you're serious aren't you?"
