AN: I appreciate the favorites, follows and reviews. It's time for the roller coaster ride to start.

I wake up when the orderlies come in for the mandatory overnight med and room check, and Eric groggily leaves the room to take care of his own. Once the door is closed, I crack my eyes open and let them adjust to the tiny bit of light that filters through the blinds on my door. Once I'm alone I pace around the room, knowing that we would have an uninterrupted four to six hours until our next check, and we may finally be able to have a conversation without interruptions.

Eric is back within minutes, and he's surprised when he sees me out of bed, "What's wrong?"

I meet his eyes in the dimly lit room, "We have four hours minimum before they check on us again, I thought we could talk without interruptions."

He looks pensive as he leans against my door, "Have I been pushing you for too much?"

I walk over to him and reach for his hands, threading ours together, "Eric, no. This is about us, but not anything bad, at least I hope it's not." I smile at him, "We have a lot of things that are about to change, and I want to make sure we're on the same page."

"I'm not going to just forget this. I don't know how to make you believe me." He replies in frustration.

"You aren't going to be able to help it when you do. Eric, this isn't just about stopping Evelyn, you deserve to know who you are. You deserve to have your full memory, the good and the bad, and it's up to you how you want to move forward."

"I move forward with you. Why is this even a conversation?"

I take a deep breath and exhale slowly, "You're going to have the last several months disappear once they restore your memories. You and I were not close before. We weren't even friends. This isn't going to be easy for either of us, and I want to make sure you and I are in agreement going into this."

"Are you breaking up with me?" He asks and I shake my head, "Why does it feel like you are?"

"Will you sit with me?" I ask and he nods, letting me lead him to the bed. I sit next to him, and he never drops my hand as I angle my body so I can better look at him, "You've had so much taken from you. Your memories, your job, your home, and your freedom. I'm here because I wanted to kill myself, Eric, but you're here because you were memory wiped."

"Had I not ended up here, I would have had memories implanted that would have made me a cooperative participant in whatever the fuck Jeanine was doing. I would have no freedom; I'd likely be dead. I wouldn't have you." He argues, "Don't you get it? Everything that has happened has led us to this, to each other."

"I'm broken, Eric…" I trail off when I feel the familiar burn of tears in my eyes.

He pulls me into his lap and wipes my tears, "You're healing. You've acknowledged that this war was due to Jeanine's insane plans for hunting divergent. You've opened up to me, and to Myron about what caused you to end up on that roof that day, you're mending friendships that mean so much to you and you're not the same angry person I met two months ago. We're both broken, but we're figuring it out. When mine gets too heavy, you carry it, and when it's yours I take over, it's just what we do, Tris. I'm keeping that journal, so I know exactly what we've built together since being here, and I am hoping that no matter what happens to me that you'll also know what we have and have patience with me."

"I already told you that I'll be here no matter what. I love you, Eric. I promise you that even if you never look at me again that I will still love you." I finally admit and before he can say anything I crash my lips to his, kissing him deeply and clawing at his shirt. He lets me pull it off and I can feel him pushing my own over my head.

"Say it again." He breathes out when we briefly break apart.

"I love you-"

My words are swallowed by his mouth on mine, and then he moves us so I'm laying on the bed and he's kneeling over me. His lips travel down my chest, pausing at my breasts to lick and bite at each nipple as he begins to pull my pants off my legs.

"You're so beautiful." He murmurs as his thumbs tease the waistband of my underwear, "Tris I honestly don't know what I'm doing here."

"Take them off." I say and he nods, pulling them off my hips and down my legs until I can kick them off, "Yours too."

I watch as he pushes his own pants and boxers down, and his erection springs free. I reach out for him, wrapping my hand around his smooth skin, hard as steel beneath my fingers. He moans at the touch and then leans over me and kisses me deeply.

"I love you. I will never forget you. I won't do it." He whispers as his fingers finally find my slick folds and he begins rubbing my bundle of nerves, "I want you to feel good. What do I do?" I move my hand down and grasp his fingers, moving them to my entrance until he pushes one inside, "Like this?" He asks.

"Another." I breathe out and I feel him push a second finger inside of me, "Keep pressing your hand against me." I arch my back so my hips push up and I can feel the palm of his hand against my clit, "Yes."

"Tris, I'm going to come if you keep that up." He says as I still the hand I have wrapped around him.

"Do you want me to continue?" I ask and he shakes his head.

"Can we? Can I…?" He trails off and I moan when he pulls his hand away from me, "I don't want to scare you."

"I want you. Please." I reply before pushing him away and onto his back. I crawl over him, straddling his lap and he grips onto my hips as I rub my soaked folds along his shaft, "Is this okay?"

"Tris, please…."

"Tell me, Eric. Tell me what you want." I reply.

"I want to be inside of you." He breathes out. I adjust my angle, and line him up with me as I slowly slide down on him, "Oh my fucking God." He groans, "I'm not going to last, oh my fucking God you feel so good."

I move slowly over him and his hands grip my hips, his fingers digging into my sides and his eyes screwed shut. I stop and lean over to him so my face is inches from his, "Eric, please open your eyes."

"If I look at you I'll lose it. Tris, this is so embarrassing." He murmurs.

"Eric, it's okay to let go." I whisper as I press soft kisses to his cheeks and forehead. His silver eyes finally open and I smile softly at him, "Hi."

"Hi." He replies shyly. I've never seen him like this or imagined he would be so vulnerable, "You're perfect."

"So are you." I reply softly, "I want to make you feel good. When I sit up, can you rub me again? It will help both of us."

"Okay."

I kiss him again before I sit up and I brace my hands behind me on his muscular thighs. I guide his hand to my center and show him how much pressure to apply as I begin to move.

"Oh God." He moans as I increase my pace.

"You feel so good, Eric." I can feel his thighs tensing beneath my hands and I know he's close. I can feel my own release, "Baby, I'm coming." I moan as my muscles quiver around him, and with a loud grunt I feel his warm seed inside of me.

I drop on to his chest, and his heavy arms wrap around me, holding me flush to him. His warm breath washes over me, and his lips press to my cheek. We lay there together, and any time I try to move off of him he just holds me tighter, and I tuck my face into his neck.

"How can I even think about giving this up?" He asks.

"We will get there again, but I think after tonight you have some things to add to your journal." I reply and he chuckles below me.

"I love you." He says before pressing his lips to mine, "I won't forget that."

I try to believe him, but I know there's no way he'll remember any of this. I decide to just be happy in the right now.

The next day, Tobias agreed to Eric's terms, and a plan was also made for Myron to return to Chicago with us to continue our care. Officially, it was entered as a transfer to another facility in a city we'd never heard of. Unofficially, we were driven to Chicago, where Tobias and Myron had a conversation in the front of the SUV while Eric and I clung to each other in the back, sharing kisses and whispering our feelings to each other.

We were ushered into Dauntless under cover, no one but Tobias's inner circle knew we were returning. They wasted no time in getting us into an apartment on a secured floor, where they gave Eric and I less than half an hour to talk before they were scheduled to give him the reversal serum.

"Are you sure you want me to go through with this?" He asks me.

My mind screams no. Every bit of selfishness I have makes me want to beg that they don't take these months from us.

I can't be selfish.

"Yes. You shouldn't have ever been memory wiped. You tried to stop her. You're a good man, Eric, and whatever happens I'm going to know that."

His hand was threaded with mine when they gave him the serum. His journal was on his lap, while Uriah and Myron were sat across from us. Tobias stayed in the apartment, but he kept his distance knowing that Eric would likely not appreciate his presence there.

Eric had whispered how much he loved me as the serum started to make him drowsy, and when he finally fell asleep it was with his head drooping on my shoulder. We talked quietly amongst ourselves as the serum began to work, and after about an hour of conversation and worry Eric began to stir.

"What... why..." He slurred a bit, a side affect from the peace serum that was included in the compound.

"Who are you?" He asked Myron, "Who's apartment is this? Pedrad?" He barked. When he realized his hand was tangled in mine he snatched it away and turned to me, "Why the fuck are you here, Stiff? Did you forget where the dorms are?"

"Eric, we know you have questions-" Myron begins but Eric looks over him towards the kitchen.

"Number Boy, what's your little girlfriend doing holding my hand? Did she finally realize just how much of a worthless piece of shit you are?" Eric taunts Tobias.

I knew it was going to be ugly. I can do this.

"Eric, there are things you need to know. You have a journal here where you've kept notes to help you remember the last several months." I say carefully and he gapes at me.

"Why do I need notes?" He asks.

"Eric, your memory was wiped." Myron says and Eric turns towards him.

"The fuck you say."

"What's the last thing you remember before waking up today?" Myron asks.

"Who are you?" Eric retorts.

"My name is Myron, I was your therapist in the Lake City alternative care facility. You were memory wiped here in Chicago, and you were found almost twelve miles outside of your city fence with no memory of who you were. We took you back to our city, and checked you in for psychiatric care at our facility-"

"No. This is bullshit. I need to go. Jeanine is fucking nuts and I have to get to Kang before she starts her insanity-"

"Jeanine wiped you." Tobias says, "They fucked with our memories, she was going to implant you and you escaped."

"Eric, you should read your journal." Myron pushes it towards him and Eric scrubs his face with his hands.

"I can't stay here." He argues, pushing my hand off of his arm and standing, "I have shit to do-"

"You can't leave." Tobias gets in between him and the door, "You stay, read your journal, talk to your therapist, get caught up on the last three months."

"Who's keeping me here?" Eric roars.

"Your head leader." Tobias retorts.

"Where the fuck is Max? He sent you here to do his dirty work?" Eric asks.

"Max is dead, along with Jeanine and Marcus, all executed for war crimes. I'm the head leader now. You are to remain here until you've been debriefed. Myron, call me when he's ready."

"Will do." The therapist agrees.

"Uriah, Tris, let's go." Tobias orders.

I watch as Uriah rises, and he glances back at Eric, "I'll be back when you're ready, man."

I look at Eric, willing him to remember me, to remember us, but he will barely even meet my eyes, "Eric, if you need anything at all, please reach out. Myron has all of my contact information-"

"What the fuck would I need from you? Get the fuck out of my sight, initiate." He sneers at me.

Myron looks at me, "I'll find you soon."

I scrub the tears from my eyes as I turn away from Eric and walk towards the door. Tobias reaches for me but I shrink away from him, waiting until I am outside of Eric's apartment before breaking down into tears on Uriah's shoulder.
