Calvin and Louise were shopping at the department store in preparation for the Winter Ball that was set to take place in three days.

"Dear brother, are you sure Judith is going to become Anya's friend? It seems she's rather too close-minded for someone like her" Louise asked her brother while observing the dresses that were on display before turning over to hear what her brother had to say in regards to the matter.

"I'm sure. I just don't want Judith to hate Anya any longer and she just genuinely believes that her life is ruined by Anya, so I decided to have Judith invite her in hopes of a possible friendship striking between them so I could hang out with Judith once more" Calvin responded while crossing his arms as he leaned against a wall, Louise on the other hand had a expression of curiosity while nodding her head.

"Dear brother, I appreciate your attempts in recoiling with Judith; however, I would be careful since Anya might get hurt in the process and I don't want that to happen" Louise warned her brother while continuing to observe the dresses on display before turning her attention to her brother as she began to speak once more.

"You are reckless, dear brother. You know Judith's family is rather close-minded as she is so inviting Anya could spell trouble for her and I don't want my friend to deal with that" Louise spoke to her brother once more while walking towards him before stopping right when she got close to his face.

"I know, I know. I just want things between me and Judith to go back to the way it was and besides, our family is pretty chill about it so I don't see the issue with it" Calvin responded casually while Lousie shook her head before speaking once more.

"You still like Judith, don't you? You are just using Anya so you can become friends with her again, right? Dear brother, How can you be so selfish? Did you even think about how Anya would have felt?" Louise spoke to her brother with a mixture of sternness and disappointment in her voice and this made Calvin feel rather bad as she stared into his sister's disappointed expression.

"I-I know but it's just talking to Judith would have been rough considering how difficult she can get when backed into a corner or just in general but I understand your concerns so please don't get the wrong idea" Calvin spoke to his sister once more while Louise shook her head once more.

"I know, dear brother. She was my playmate before she hung out with you but I will always talk to her and ensure that things are okay, that's what friends do. I'm not friends with Judith due to her close-minded behavior but even though I still attempted to reach out to her.." Louise spoke to her brother while seeing the guilt on Calvin's face as he looked down in shame, sighing to himself.

"Sorry. I-I should have talked to Anya about this before asking Judith to invite her to the Winter Ball. I wasn't thinking clearly and now if things go south then I feel like it's going to be my fault for not planning things correctly" Calvin spoke to his sister yet again with shame in his voice while Louise gently grabbed his hand before placing it on his chest.

"It's forgiven. I'm not angry at you or anything. It's just I don't want those I care about to be hurt due to your choices. I'm sure Anya would feel the same way as well but let's not dwell on the negative too much, shall we? We're gonna have a good time in three days and I don't want to make you feel bad even more so let's go to the jewelry department" Louise spoke to her brother once more before smiling at him as she walked past him to leave Calvin in his thoughts.

"Damn, I never thought of what or how Anya felt about this. I never even asked her about her feelings about the situation…." Calvin thought to himself before looking up to see his sister staring at him, observing his facial expression.

"Dear Brother, you're thinking about what I said, aren't you? I can read it all over your face. You can't change what's done; however, please take this as a lesson to ensure that Anya's feelings are considered, okay? And besides, you are always telling me the same thing whenever I want to have fun with my dear friends, right?" Louise spoke to her brother once more before gently holding his hand in comfort which made Calvin blush while looking to his side with an embarrassed expression.

"L-Louise, N-Not in public, and I don't want people getting the wrong idea or anything…" Calvin advised his sister while this was met with Louise giggling at what she heard before speaking to him once more with a smile.

"Don't be worried, dear brother. We can explain that we're just brother and sister, that's it. There's nothing wrong in showing affection to the people you care" Louise responded to her brother before tiptoeing towards her brother's ear as she began to whisper in it.

"And besides, don't you want to show affection to someone like Anya? You can't keep being a brother who's shy around girls for too long, right" Louise whispered to Calvin before stepping away from him while giving him a smile which made the boy laugh embarrassingly before speaking again.

"I-I'm not shy around girls! It's just I'm always unprepared to talk to them, that's all! I'm only comfortable around Anya, Charlotte, and the others are simply the fact they're my friends and that's it" Calvin responded while Louise chuckled at this with the same sneaky yet curious expression on her face.

"I see, well, let's pretend I'm Anya and we're shopping together, how does that sound, dear brother" Louise spoke to her brother once more while wrapping her arms around his neck with a smile on her face which made Calvin even more flustered.

"W-We're just friends and nothing else of the sort. I did ask her out but she rejected me but maybe she'll change her mind.." Calvin responded to his sister while looking into her eyes and for a moment, there was silence between the siblings before it was interrupted by Louise.

"I remember you telling me that. At least there's still a chance in the future but let's not waste any more time, I still gotta buy my dress so I can remake it into something more pleasing" Louise spoke to her brother once more before releasing her arms from his neck and giving him another smile.

"Don't worry. I was cheering you up back there and it seemed like it worked based on the smile on your face, yours truly, weird sister Louise" Louise spoke to her brother yet again while looking at the slight smile on his face which made Calvin chuckle.

"W-Well, when you said that, It cheered me up when I was thinking about the times I've hung out with Anya. I'm also going to apologize to her once the Winter Ball is over, snags a promise" Calvin responded to his sister while having a warm smile on his face which made his sister smile back.

"That's my dear brother. I'm glad you were able to think things through but for now, let's focus on having a good time together, okay? I'm sure Anya will accept your apology when the time comes" Louise spoke to her brother once more before beginning to walk alongside her brother toward the next area of the store.

"Louise may be annoying with her antics at times; however, I would not trade her for anything and she truly means well. She always helps me and tries to be a good sister in whatever way she would and I'll always be grateful for my sister…" Calvin thought to himself before smiling once more while walking with his sister to their destination, filled with more memories to remember and look back on.
