Set in V-Force just after the second tournament.
I decided to write some old-fashioned Tyhil after reading EXTREMELY old fics. Also yeah, this is another fic set in V-Force (again?) because I've grown a strong dislike for G-Revolution and a huge liking for V-Force instead (ironic right?). So nothing (apart from my highschool fic) is going to motivate to write post G-Rev any sooner. Whoops.
The two-time tag-team World Champions Tyson and Max wanted to give themselves a little treat after yesterday's match. It was peaceful – no more crooks behind their bit beasts. Although they did feel quite bizarre about being in so much peace, they used it to their fullest advantage.
Tyson and Max wanted all the Bladrebreakers to be present with them, but the others collectively decided that they should let the boys enjoy the victory on their own. Though Ray was present next door to the mall because he wanted to check out the fare next door along with Hilary and Kenny. Kai being his usual self disappeared shortly.
The duo reached the mall's cafeteria and analysed each and every restaurant whilst listening to the noises coming from the crowd in there. After finally deciding on Burger King, their hungry stomachs ran for the order, only to unexpectedly find two people.
"Ozuma?"
The listener turned back and faced Tyson, greeting him with a smile. He was present with Mariam.
"Hey Tyson."
"Wow...surprised to see you here," piped Max.
"We also live like normal humans Maxie," said Mariam. "We wanted a break too. And you wont believe it, but Salima and Kane are here as well."
Tyson's lips turned into a smile. "Really? Where?"
"Right here." Tyson and Max turned around and saw the duo flashing a smile before them.
"Kane! Salima! How have you guys been?" Max asked jumpily.
"Oh we're great alright. Salima just returned from her trip," Kane explained. "Looks like everyone's chilling after the tournament."
"Oh yeah we are. The champs deserve a good solid break," said Tyson excitedly. "Let's order and get ourselves a table guys,"
The food court was packed, but they managed to get a small table and a couple of chairs anyway. Tyson and Max felt a bit guilty for not having their own teams hanging out with them, but they couldn't help the fact that they ran into two pairs at once.
Tyson immediately started guzzling up one out of three burgers in his bottomless pit. He had been hungry all day which even made his brain dysfunction.
"You really do eat like a pig," said Salima with a neutrally shocked expression.
Tyson seemed to have not heard that comment at all.
Kane let out a light laugh. "Even Salima thinks you eat like a pig Tyson,"
Tyson seemed to have partially heard him this time. He slowed down his guzzling.
"What do you mean, 'even'? She says that to me everyday!" Tyson retorted.
Everyone looked confused. SALIMA says that to Tyson everyday? Everyone else was pretty sure that this was the first time they were ever hanging out together to eat.
"What are you talking about?" Mariam grumbled.
"Everyday?" Salima added.
Tyson stopped eating and eyed all the people around him (except Max who was sitting beside him).
"She's my teammate...I have to see her everyday. And get nagged by her of course." Tyson said apathetically.
A perplexed Kane widened his eyes. "Are you talking about Hilary?"
Tyson closed his eyes and took a sip of his coke. "Who else?"
"Where did she come from?"
"Huh?" Tyson paused his drink. "You guys literally just talked about her to me!"
"...No one was talking about Hilary," said Mariam.
"What?"
"We were talking about Salima."
Tyson moved his eyes side to side in confusion. "Uhh...my bad guys...haha."
Everyone squinted their eyes and gazed at Tyson with curiosity. Tyson closed his eyes let out a fake laugh.
"I see how it is," said Mariam with a smirk.
"Hmm?" Tyson mumbled while taking another sip of the coke.
"You really like Hilary don't you?"
He spat out a mouthful of the drink and began coughing.
"Tyson are you okay?" Max patted his back.
"Is she your girlfriend?" Kane asked.
"No she's not!"
"Don't lie Tyson." Even Ozuma piped in.
"I'M NOT! Right Max?"
"Well yeah..she's not his girlfriend....yet..."
"MAX!"
Mariam laughed demonically. "Don't worry Tyson. Just say the word and we'll set you guys up."
"Man I don't know where you guys get these stupid ideas from," Tyson placed a palm on his forehead. "And don't even try saying anything to her!" He concluded, now facing Mariam.
"So you DO like her," assumed Kane.
"I DO NOT! SHE'S JUST A-"
He immediately got cut off when he saw Hilary, Kenny and Ray approaching to the table. A bad vibe stung his neck and the effect shivered down his spine, causing him to get sharply up off the chair.
"Hey guys!" Kenny greeted, running towards them.
"Fancy seeing you guys here," said Ray.
"So what have you been up to?" Hilary asked – which was the last thing Tyson wanted.
"Oh nothing," said Mariam. "We were talking about how Tyson might-"
Tyson interjected Mariam by letting out the biggest fake laugh ever.
"HAHAHAHAH! She was making fun of me for wanting more DOUGHNUTS AFTER THREE BURGERS!" Tyson ran towards Hilary and grabbed her hand, dropping a sweat. "Come on Hil, get some doughnuts with me! Let's go, let's go!"
Tyson dragged Hilary to the doughnuts store as she remained unironically amused.
"What was that all about Tyson?" Hilary began interrogating. "That's definitely not what I'd call manners when I'm around people."
Tyson turned around angrily. "Quit nagging me Hilary! I was hungry, that's all!"
"So why did you drag me here?" Hilary didn't want to say it, but she didn't actually have a problem with it. She just wanted Tyson's answer.
"I don't know...Guess I felt like being a little nice to you after being so complacent. Don't like it?"
"How are you being nice exactly?"
"Here you go, champion!" The seller called out, handing over two doughnuts to Tyson. Tyson thanked him and took them in his hand, giving one to Hilary.
"I paid for the most in-demand doughnut for you. And these were the last two. Am I being nice now?"
Tyson may be smart and knowledgeable, but he prioritises his one track consisting of blading and food. Hilary accepted it anyway, because according to her, he at least tried, unbeknownst to the fact that he was pulling this scheme only to get away with the group. If Tyson actually tried, he would definitely have gotten her a better gift.
Meanwhile on the table, another discussion brew up.
"Man he RUINED it!" Mariam groaned. "Why is he such a stubborn brat?"
Max laughed it off. "Don't worry guys. I've got a plan."
Ray looked around confusedly. "Will someone fill me up on this what's happening?"
"You'll know soon."
So this was supposed to be a one-shot...now probably turning into a...uhm...two-shot...maybe multi shot?
