A group of ignorant travelers stumbled upon old ruins. They believed the ruins held treasure and opened them. They entered an underground chamber, where there was a coffin. They opened it, releasing several demons onto the town of Mariner Bay. At a military base, a young woman informed a man named "Captain Mitchell" that the demons had escaped. The captain opened a safe, removing case files, saying "It's time to bring them in." Military personnel and the young woman recruit four young adults with different backgrounds. They were a stunt pilot, a rock climber, a lifeguard and water park performer, and a firefighter. The firefighter, Carter Grayson, was rescuing a little girl when he saw a fire monster throwing them out of the building and onto a safety net below. The young woman, a paramedic, took over helping the girl. Afterward, the personnel and the woman ask Carter to follow them.
Diabolico, the temporary leader of the demons, lead the others to a castle in an undisclosed location. He quickly discovered their queen, Bansheera, was not there. However, her 1500-year-old daughter, Jillian, and infant son, Impus, were there. The five young adults traveled by helicopter to a submarine. The captain introduces himself as William Mitchell as they arrive at the Aquabase.
"You realize this is kidnapping! I'm out of here!" Joel, known as the Sky Cowboy, yelled.
"Please hear me out. After that, if you still wish to leave and have Mariner Bay destroyed, you're welcome to do so. A 5000-year-old threat has just been released onto the city. You have the skills needed to stop them." Mitchell explained.
"This is a joke. You expect us to fight a bunch of demons?!" Kelsey, the rock climber, questioned in absolute disbelief at what she was being told.
Carter, a firefighter, explained about the demon he saw while rescuing a little girl from a burning building as Joel was leaving. A screen showed more damage being done to the city. The four, including Chad Lee, take their morphers and head out. The woman who had been out recruiting the others noticed two additional morphers.

"The other two are for Amanda and me," Dana stated.
Captain Mitchell nodded. His youngest daughter, Amanda, who was affectionately known as Mandy, was an intelligent 15-year-old. Back at the undisclosed location, Jillian was furious as she held her younger brother in her arms.

"Diabolico, I presume? You leave me here for 1450 years and dare to return without telling me?!" Jillian growled.

"Princess, I wasn't aware-" Diabolico started.

"Of course, you weren't. You don't care about anyone but yourself." Jillian scoffed.
