Hey Yo! NerdRyuu here for the 33rd chapter of The Last Loud!!
We're in the final stretch! Blight has been restored and defeated Cassie, but our Last Loud is here to confront his enemy!
I have nothing to add here or any news really, so let's go to today's question!
Dimitri Gomez: Will future Link be seen only at the end of the battle or more in the middle of it?

"You again." Blight spoke. "Was you that unbearable kid that got me in that horrid situation that I stood for nine long years, waiting for those stupid followers of mine to find a way to restore me?" He spat with those lipless mouth.
"Do you remember me?" Loud spoke. "Do you remember them?"
"That stupid kid. That though he was bigger than God. He was a brave one, I have to say that, but he was a fool. That young woman also was a fool. And you just defeated me by chance."
"They weren't fools. They were the kindest people on the world. They were my family." Loud spoke, reloading their shotgun. "And I'll make sure their deaths weren't in vain. None of them."
"So you'll die too." Blight spoke, before Loud started walking in his direction. Blight laughed. "Oh, you're approaching me? Even knowing that you don't have any chance of survival, you're approaching me?" Blight asked mockingly.
"I can't beat up your face without approaching." Loud spoke angrily. Blight laughed again.
"So be it. Approach as much as you want." Blight spoke, also starting to walk in Loud's direction.
The walked up to each other until they were about a foot away from each other. They looked at each other for some seconds before Blight threw the first punch, a left hook.
Loud dodged under his arm and pointed the shotgun upwards, and shit Blight square in the jaw. The mutant stumbled back in pain. A green florescent goo dripped down. When he got his hands off his mouth, He revealed that the shot had hurt him, but not by much, he certainly wasn't going to die for that.
Blight roared and ran to Loud's direction, who dodged the last second, throwing themself to the side and rolling away.
"Loud!" Cassie shouted, Loud turned their head to her. "Don't let him grab you! If he does, it's instant death!" She warned. Loud nodded to her and looked back at Blight.
"You are walking in thin ice kid." Blight spoke menacingly as he turned to Loud. "God won't forgive you." Loud growled, than laughed, what surprised Blight.
"You are not a god! You're not even a cult leader! All your followers are dead! Some died in the shooting, the rest sacrificed their lives to restore you! There may be other Slavers out there, but your cultists are all dead. You are alone! No one worships you! You are not a god! Never was! And will never be!"
Although the lack of expressions due his face being pretty much a skull, Loud could feel the rage coming from him. They certainly had hit a nerve there. Good.
"You are so dead." Blight spoke lowly.
He suddenly made a rush to Loud's direction, but The Last Loud didn't got caught off guard, they got away from Blight's tackle and pointed the shotgun again on their back and shot.
The force of the impact made Blight stumble forward, nearly falling over, but he didn't , and turned around, throwing another punch, and Loud barely was able to dodge it by ducking under it.
That shot wasn't as damaging than the first in the jaw, the back was a sturdy spot of his body, and the distance of the fire made the spread of the shot not so strong as it could be. Loud looked down to their ammo.
Damnit, they had just three shots left They had to make them count.
Loud dove forward on the last minute when they noticed that Blight had thrown another punch. The Loud grabbed their pistol from their holster. That gun wasn't even useful for damage, but it was the only other weapon they had, they were going to use it as distraction, it was the only thing it could do.
Loud pointed the gun up to Blight's face and shot. As expected, the bullet did nothing, but it had hit right above his right eye, giving some time of blindness on that eye.
They had to take advantage of that and crawled to his right side, were he had a blind spot. They got a clear shot at his head, they aimed the shotgun and shot. The right side of Blight's head got ripped off. He growled in pain once again.
As expected, the shot didn't killed, but it had did far less damage than expected, Loud was in serious trouble. They were laying on their back by his side and now he knew were they were. He lifted his foot and stomped on Loud's chest.
All the air on their lungs escaped and loud gasped for air, but another stomp made them struggle to get their breath back.
"Kiru!" The voice of a woman shouted as Blight's heel got cut open when he lifted his foot again to stomp at Loud. Blight winced in pain as he stumbled back and knew to hold his heel.
It was Haru, holding her Katana. She made slow and deep breaths as she walked back, taking distance from Blight.
"Another one?" Blight questioned rageful.
"Hold on there Loud!" Haru shouted to her ally.
"Haru! Don't let him touch you!" Cassie warned. Haru nodded.
Blight charged on Haru's direction, and the woman dodged, nimbly sliding out the way, Blight threw a backhand, Haru leaned back to dodge it and swung the katana upwards, cutting the inside of Blight's elbow.
"Uwamuki ni Suichoku." She spoke. Blight winced again, putting his hand over the cut.
Haru used Blight's arm as a step to jump up and spin in the air and Slash downwards, aiming for his exposed and unprotected neck.
"Shitamuki ni Suichoku." She spoke as her Katana penetrated his flesh.
But it didn't cut through enough to make any significant damage, the katana instead stopped, without being able to cut more deeper. Haru's eyes widened.
Even with the pain, Blight reached to his back and grabbed Haru by the left leg and suspended her in front of him, the katana still stuck on his neck.
"Show's over." He spoke, before clenching his fist, crushing the prosthetic leg, then, he tossed Haru on the tumbled RV, who slammed on it with force and fell on the ground.
"It's… far from over!" She spoke, struggling to get herself up, but the crushed leg broke in half and she fell.
"I broke one of your metal legs woman. This fight is over. How can you fight, of you can't even get on your feet?" Blight spoke with arrogance.
"I…" Haru spoke, stabbing the ground with the katana and using it as a crutch, she slowly pushed herself up, her injuries for hitting the RV were making this a lot more difficult. "Still… can stand!" Blight laughed, finding her persistence amusing.
"Like your friend over there, your heart is strong, along with your mind and body. You also will be a great broodmare." Haru gagged.
"You sick motherfucker! I'll commit seppuku before that!" Haru shouted sickened.
"A shame, well… your life energy will be enough for me!" He spoke, approaching Haru, who just barely could stand up with her katana as a crutch, severally I juried by the collision with the RV, much less being able to run away from his attack.
Blight extended his hand and reached for her head.
But he recoiled the hand when a barrage of bullets hit him there. The bullets didn't penetrated his skin, but as it was a little softer, he felt more of the pain. Haru, Cassie and Blight looked over to the top of the tumbled Nostromo. Kneeling there, was Maria, holding both her pistols, pointing to Blight.
Maria was severally injured by Blight's act to flip the RV over with her inside, but she was still alive and up for fight.
"MOM!" Cassie shouted relieved and happy.
"You…" Blight spoke, and when he motioned to move, Maria shouted loudly, taking Blight by surprise, before he felt a bullet hit him in the back of the head, in the base of the neck. He reached for the bullet and felt his green blood oozing from the wound. The shot had penetrated his skin, but only superficially.
"HIMIKO!" Blight looked back, and across the battlefield, the other twin, Himiko was Kneeling down also, resting her sniper rifle on her knee with the barrel fuming from the last shot.
Blight looked back to Himiko. She also was badly damaged, but somewhere during his previous fight she had got out the RV and sneaked to that position. Without warning or anything she shot another round, this time hitting Blight in the right eye. The same that Loud had temporarily blinded.
This time, gushed green flood furiously as Blight screamed in pain, hiding the eye with his hand. That time, his eye was permanently blinded.
And Himiko didn't waited anything, she immediately shot another round, this time hitting his knee lobe, driving him to his knees. Himiko again didn't waited, she reloaded the rifle and shit again, hitting his shoulder, nearly missing his Jugular.
Blight gritted his teeth in rage and rushed on Himiko's direction, tanking her two next shots that hit his chest.
As he approached, he used his momentum and strength to make a powerful backhand, hitting Himiko, turning them around and sending Himiko flying on the direction of the others. She hit the ground hard, and struggled, but got back on her feet, but without strength to lift the rifle up, which dangled on her left hand.
She tried to lift it when Blight started to approach her, but couldn't, and nobody was able to do anything when he grabbed Himiko by the neck and lifted her up off the ground.
And without saying anything, he started sucking her energy like he did with that brave man in the start of the battle.
"No…" Haru muttered sadly as she observed, without being able to do anything, her sister being sucked out of her life energy.
But Himiko didn't accepted her demise yet, with a slight movement of her left hand and pulling the trigger, the bullet shot down, bouncing off on the floor on such a way that it bounced up and hit Blight, tight at the jaw.
Blight screamed again, letting Himiko fall and reseeding a few steps. The girl fell on the ground, very weak, but still alive. She looked up as Blight recovered and starting to walk on her direction.
Like he had did earlier with Himiko's twin, Blight reached his hand to absorb the rest of her energy and kill her.
But Loud grabbed his hand. Blight was too big to hold his hand with just one hand, Loud had to hold the hand with both of theirs.
Blight looked confused for a second. Loud was giving all their strength to hold the hand off. Loud glared at him, with their helmet, but inside that helmet, they clenched their teeth as a reflex of all the force they were making. Blight then looked amused once again.
"Tell me kid… what's your name again?"
"I'm…" Loud spoke with difficult to keep their breath. "Not a kid anymore!" Cassie observed Loud. They were doing so much force to hold him back. Maybe Blight wasn't using all of his strength? Maybe Blight wanted to see the extension of Loud's will. Or maybe it was just her mind romanticizing the situation.
"I thought I had lost myself." Loud spoke. "When I became the last of my family… I forgot who I was… I forgot to do the only thing my family want me to do… live… NOT ANYMORE!" Loud used all their might to toss the hand away, and seemingly Blight let them do it. "I AM LANA LOUD ! I AM THE LAST LOUD !" She finally spoke with her heart. Finally she spoke her own name for nine years. "AND I'M NOT AFRAID OF LIVING ANYMORE!"
"Lana…" Cassie muttered with a smile on her lips. "She finally opened up."
"Than…" Blight spoke. "You are not afraid of death." He presumed.
"Never again." Lana said.
"Than… Die." He spoke, lifting his hand and hammering down in high speed.
But Lana got out of the way. Not by herself, but something else. She was very confused.
A school desk sized, egg shaped, drone with five wings and a eye looking, in cobalt black had helped her to run, by shoving her out the way.
"What?" Both Lana, Cassie, Haru and even Blight spoke.
Several other drones appeared flying around above them.
Four of them flew down and turned the Nostromo back up, revealing Tower behind it, he had a dislocated shoulder and several cuts and bruises.
"TOWER!" Cassie shouted.
"CASSIE!" Maria shouted to her daughter, running to her and hugging her.
"Ouch, ouch! Mom! My shoulder!" Cassie warned Maria about her dislocated shoulder.
"Oh sorry."
"What is this?" Blight spoke confused and angry.
"This is the extension of humans' evolution." Someone spoke.
Everyone looked to the direction of the entrance of the village.
It was Link. Well, they presumed. He was wearing a armor very similar to Lana's, but with several different add-ons and modifications through it. It wasn't as bulky as Lana's was bore streamlined and the helmet was completely different, looking like a enormous visor made of three pieces that converged in a upside down pyramid. In his back, a small backpack with his new constructed generator in it.
"Sorry for the delay." He spoke to his friends. "I had to get creative to get here." He pointed back to a motorized bicycle laying in the ground.
N/A: This chapter was essentially three fights one after another, the 1 v 1 of Lana vs Blight, the 1 v 1 of Haru vs Blight and finally the 2 v 1 of Maria and Himiko vs Blight.
I wanted to give everyone a chance to shine in this final fight, and I really liked the result of these fights, although a little short.
And Link also showed up here in the end! now it's time to see the true extent of Humanity's evolution!
I'm very excited for next chapter, because I wrote them with so much care to make them as exciting as I could!
As I said, the tone in this final fight is very different from the earlier chapters, but this is by design, to show the difference between Lana's mindset in the beginning and the ending, showing how much she changed and her view of the world around her changed.
