Now, here is a clincher! Ms. Rossi seems hellbent on ruining Marinette's life, not like we didn't already know that, right? Little white lies can grow into big ones and can have major consequence on the individual who creates them. But I guess Lie-la didn't get that memo. Let's see... where to begin?

It all starts with a day in the Library. Adrien was sat alone in a small table studying an old tome, which seemed to have photos of ancient superheroes in it. Marinette was in a meeting with the student council representing their class. While Nino, Alya, and Chloe were working on a class project in the courtyard. It was a free period so their teacher allowed them to do their various projects for the time. His peace was soon disturbed by one Ms. Rossi, he groaned softly at this.

Please don't let her come here... he thought almost as if praying to some form of divinity from above.

Unfortunately a certain mischievous deity must have answered his calls; as said Italian girl faced him with a smile that was far from sweet. Her eyes showed unsavory things that caused the hairs on the nape of his neck to stand and a cold shiver to run down his spine. He didn't like her, the way she treated Marinette since the day she entered their class was despicable!

Then she spoke, "Why, hello there Adrien!"

"Uh, hey Lila. What can I do for you?" He responds putting on an air of kindness as he did not want to be rude.

She sat next to him leaning into his personal space, "What are you reading?"

"Just something I borrowed from my father. It's an ancient book of sorts, that has information about items that grant magical abilities to people." He explained briefly trying not to cringe at her actions.

She flipped through the pages and paused at the part where a photo of a fox-like superhero was depicted. He knew that it wasn't Rena Rouge, but let Lila dictate the flow of the conversation anyways.

The little she devil says, "You know... I think one of my ancestors wore this power giving gem."

"Really? And from what I've heard these objects are called Miraculous, they aren't gems exactly. I didn't know that these could be inherited from a family member." Adrien says looking at her skeptically.

Lila nods, "Yeah! I heard she used the power of the fox and called herself Volpina. She was rumored to be more celebrated then Ladybug."

"Uhh, that's not what the book says. I've read this far longer then you have, are you sure that you know what you are talking about?" Adrien Inquired with a raised brow and a slight frown on his face .

More celebrated then Ladybug!? Yeah, that's the day the sun fails to shine. He thought almost venomously, she was stirring his inner Chat protectiveness.

"Adrien." Whispered the voice of Chloe as she and Alya approached the table.

Alya greeted the Italian girl politely, "Hello Lila! What's up?"

"We're just looking through some old drawings. Where's Nino and Mari?" He responds looking around for the two others.

Chloe looked at the burnette suspiciously, "Alright. Nino went back to the classroom to drop off our project, Mari called me and said she'd catch up to us at the bakery. It's lunch time already so we thought we'd pick you up."

"We didn't know you were here with someone." Says Alya taking a glance at the now glaring Italian teen.

Adrien shook his head, "She just came up here. I couldn't just turn her away and be rude."

Both girls had been around the corner when they heard them talking about the book, they had heard the entire conversation. Alya was ready to bust Lila for her comment about Ladybug but Chloe stopped her before she could make a scene. For her part the young Bourgeois felt affronted at the statements Lila made, especially when she knew who Ladybug was under the mask, she had also felt the urge to slap Lila hard.

"Alright then. Let's get going?" Adrien says keeping the book and slinging his pack over his shoulder.

Chloe decided to be nice and say, "You wanna join us Lila?"

"That's kind of you to offer Chloe. But I've some things to finish myself." Lila responds smiling sweetly.

Upon leaving their new classmate the three friends knew her smile was fake. Her act would've fooled the less observant types, but the Akuma class had learned that being cautious is better then being sorry for the consequences for being foolish. Chloe had learned that the hard way upon getting the Miraculous that wasn't even hers to take and having it taken away by the same hero and friend she idolized. Alya and Adrien knew what people like Lila were after, also knowing that simply giving her the attention she craved would fill her satisfaction.

They make it a little earlier then expected, Tom and Sabine greeting them with hugs with the latter showing them to a table. They ordered their meals and waited for their two friends. The Bakery was relatively calm that day, as it was a weekday many customers usually chose to come after lunch.

After a moment Sabine brought in Marinette and Nino, the two looking rather surly for some reason. Alya figured it was due to Lila, sharing a look with the two blonds she knew they thought the same thing.

"Hey you two! What's got you looking so peeved?" Greeted Adrien as they sat down the two vacant seats.

Nino replied rather sagely, "We got held up by her as we were exiting the school. She was giving Mari a hard time."

"No need to worry. She didn't hurt me or anything, just threatening me to stay away from Adrien." Said the bluenette nonchalantly.

Adrien scowled nearly growling out his response, "How dare she dictate you actions towards me? She had no right.."

Marinette smiled placing a calming hand on his shoulder, "Relax Adrien. I'm not letting her dictate anything, you're one of my best friends there is no way I'm staying away from you."

He calmed down giving her a bright smile. Confident, talented, kind, and beautiful - that was what Marinette was to him. Ever since she got the over nerves around him, they've been closer then ever. His admiration for her grew more and more each day, he was slowly developing more than friendly feelings towards her. She is fun to be around and her family was so warm and inviting that he couldn't help but feel loved when ever he interacted with them.

"Just as long as you don't let her get to you Mari. I know it takes more then threats and insults to push you, after all I used to do the same thing. You're one tough cookie." Says Chloe smiling goofily at the end.

Alya stared at her as if she a grown an extra head, "D-did you just make a pun?"

Adrien laughed, "Well, looks like she had a sense of humor after all!"

"For the record she had the best timing when making jokes back when we were kids." Says Nino chuckling.

"Just like now. Her jokes are well baked for sure." Marinette says giggling.

They all laughed forgetting about the she devil. But little did they know an Akuma was waiting to strike and this individual was willing to do so at any costs to ruin a certain person's life.

Later that day

Right a thought once more. Since a certain brown haired Italian couldn't get way her frustration got the better of her. What can I say? She's just that kind of person, you know, those individuals who want nothing but to ruin the lives of those good natured ones. Halkmoth strikes again! And this time with a willing little helper.

Adrien has finished yet another photoshoot and agreed to meet with Marinette by the gardens, Chloe had gone home to finish their History assignment while Nino and Alya had went to pick up their siblings from primary school. The blond teen model had to smile at the thought of his best friend, Mari had been a godsend for him, the girl was truly amazing in anything she did. From video games to arts and crafts her talents knew no bound, though she did say that she was a horrible dancer but he had yet to see for himself. The bluenette had quickly became his confidant after she got over her flustered state around him, she would banter with him and even sarcastically respond to his jokes!

"Hey Adrien! Fancy seeing you here?" He hid the cringe that came to hearing that voice.

That wasn't his Princess! Rather it was that sly little fox who was threatening Mari for no apparent reason what so ever. He put on a smiled not wanting to be rude to said comer.

He greeted back, "Hello Lila! I had a photoshoot today."

She took the book he was reading earlier that day, the ancient tome about miraculous holders. Once again Lila was sprouting lies about Volpina and Ladybug. Adrien didn't believe her of course, he just blared out her ramblings. Until she threw the book in the bin that is.

"Lila! What did you to that for?" Asked Marinette as she walked to the two.

Adrien didn't notice the brown haired teens actions, so he was confused at the angry tone of Mari's voice. That was until the blue haired girl pulled out the book from the bin, he turned to the witch and glared at her.

Adrien was fuming, "That's my father's book, which he allowed me to borrow, if I had lost it then he would have pulled me out of school or worse."

"That looks so outdated and useless though. Wouldn't your father like to buy a new one?" The Italian responded reaching for his arm.

He backed away eyes burning in his anger, "He uses this to get inspirations for his designs Lila. Just because it's antiquated doesn't mean we can't get ideas out of it."

Marinette didn't like seeing Adrien angry, sad, or even just frustrated. So she placed a hand on his shoulder and squeezed it, feeling his tense muscles relax under her soothing touch. It felt gratifying to know that she could calm him this way or comfort him now, she was glad she got over her infatuation on him and had gotten to know the boy beneath that teen model mask. And having Chloe as a friend again surly helped as well, she missed the sassy and kind side of the blond socialite. She was glad that Alya really got a long with Chloe and got to know the girl beneath the mean girl mask she kept on.

Mari spoke with a tone of warning, "Lila if Adrien's father knew that he lost the book he would isolate him from his friends and that would make him feel really alone and sad. And we don't like seeing a sad Adrien, we would be mobbing his mansion just to get him out of there."

"You guys don't need to do that though..." Whispered the boy smiling at his blue haired companion softly.

Mari smiled back gently patting his arm, "Hush now Sunshine. I know we don't need to really mob your mansion but I know our class would want to do that anyways."

Lila glared at their interaction, she was interested in Adrien for his fame and good looks. She craved the attention he got from the public. He was easy on the eyes too. Marinette saw the other girl gaze lecherously at the boy, she could tell that he felt the other girl's stare as she felt him cringe.

"Well, if you excuse us Ms. Rossi. We'll see you tomorrow morning in school." He says feeling uncomfortable with the way the Italian girl was looking at him.

She nods her head a fake smile gracing her lips, "Alright then see you tomorrow."

"Have a good evening." Says Marinette waving at their classmate.

As they walked away they breathed a sigh of relief. Adrien turned to Marinette and gave her a hug, to which she returned happily despite the dusting of pink on her cheeks.

"Thanks for coming at the right time Mari. I didn't think I could have lasted another moment with her alone." He whispers to her letting out another shuddering breath.

She patted his back gently, "Don't worry Adrien, I was all to happy to break the ice. Besides the looks she was giving you were far from friendly. She has plans that spells trouble."

"I can sense that surely enough. She's after you and our class for some reason." Adrien says looking at her in concern.

She smiled giving him a hug, "I thank you for your concern Sunshine but I'll be fine. As for our class let us be thankful that they are smarter then she gave them credit for. Besides with Alya and Chloe debunking her celebrity claims she can't do famous people too much harm. We have Prince Ali and Jagged on speed dial if she even even says anything false about them."

He hugged her back, nearly melting in her embrace. Being starved of any caring or comforting touches for most of his childhood he relished any form of physical contact - below groping that is - that came from his blue haired friend. He felt that familiar calming sensation that came from Mari's touch, like nothing could make him happier at this very moment. They silently came apart sharing soft smiles and continued their walk.

To be fair there were many outcomes to this event, but one stood out after some thought. Lila getting Akumatized was going to be in the equation, at this point she was all to willing of just to get back a Marinette. A true villain never shows their hand before the party ends after all. But Lila pretty much showed us hers with the first form...

She was a pale imitation of the one and only Fox Hero, Rena Rouge! She willingly accepted Halkmoth's assistance. Of course news of a new hero reached Paris like wildfire and Chloe soon called Mari for an inquiry.

Call start

Mari: Hey Chloe! What's up?

Chloe: Did you give someone the Fox?

Mari: WHAT?! Of course not. Why would ask such a thing?

Chloe: Get down stairs and watch your TV Mari.

And Mari got on her couch and turned on the TV, in time to see the meteorite being stoped by a familiar white and orange hero. Her mouth opened in shock, that couldn't be...

Chloe: Did you see it?

Mari: Yeah. Just in the moment when she stopped the meteorite from landing. But this isn't Rena.

Chloe: Are you going in?

Mari: Yeah, I've got to. Or else we'll be having problems.

Chloe: Alright good luck.

Call ended

Tikki appeared beside Marinette, analyzing the hero. She noticed something odd, the broach the this one was holding didn't any features that signified her fellow Kwami's miraculous.

"Marinette her broach is a fake. It isn't like the the one Trix has." Says Tikki knowing that her holder also noticed the differences.

Mari nodded her confirmation, "I noticed that too! Alright Tikki, let's get out there. I'm sure Chat is already on his way."

"Ready when you are Marinette!" Says the red Kwami flying out to her rooftop.

She transformed and bolted fromm her rooftop balcony to find the imposter. She spotted Chat standing with the Fox wannabe eyeing the orange suited girl with suspicion. She knew her partner would smell something fishy in the works, she landed beside tapping his shoulder.

"Hello there Chat." She greeted ever since she and Adrien's had become closer as friends, Chat had been lessening his proclamations of love towards her, which really relieved her a bit.

But he still did his customary bow and kiss on her hand when he greeted her, "Hello My lady. Is this a new friend of ours?"

She assessed the person in front of them, studying her up close. Seeing the broach pinned her jacket. And it did look different.

"I'm afraid not Kitty Chat. She was Akumatized into the form of our foxy friend. The broach she is wearing looks to be a replica of the one Rena has." She tells him earning a glare from the victam.

Chat nods is acceptance, "I noticed that. And it looks to be one of the slightly older lines from Gabriel. One of his more inspired designs."

"You've got a great eye Chat!" Says the red suited hero a smile on her face.

Volpina gave the Rad suited heroin the stink eye, which her two partners noticed. They both knew who it was, it was obvious after all their civilian forms had anticipated her becoming an Akuma. The battle was interesting, with the false fox trying to separate them succeeding once before they both caught on to her trick. Her Akuma surely fir her personality she was one ticky fox indeed.

"Boy, I bet Alya is feeling really peeved right now..." Marinette though half amused at thought of her best friend looking pissed at Lila's poor imitation of her hero persona.

Chat's voice broke through her thought, "We need some luck Bug..."

"Right, on it! Lucky Charm!" A red flash appeared as she called her charm, the flash dispelled to reveal a popcicle?

Chat's eyebrow rose he was clearly amused by this one, "Getting a sweet tooth aren't we, Mi'lady?"

"At least it isn't a fork Kitty..." She rebuked giggling as she thought about what to do.

Her vision suddenly triggered. Chat's claw and the shiny sliver wrapping. She grinned, winking at her partner as he looked at her quizzically. He didn't question her as he knew that she'd queue him as to what to do later on, but at the moment he needed to distract the villain so she could enact her plan. He watched as she unwrapped the popcicle and throw the silver wrapper his way...

"Hand up Chat! She shouts.

He lifts up is paw and says, "Cataclysm!"

As his hand filled with greenish black energy he touched the wrapper causing a bright flash to occur, Volpina didn't realize what was happening and completely missed the light show. All her illusions disappeared leaving a lone girl. Ladybug approached her and took the bangle from her wrist. Breaking the accessory she quickly caught the darkened butterfly with her yoyo.

"Time to de-evilize!" She says her YoYo glowing white later opening up to reveal a purified butterfly.

Chat offered Lila a hand, "Well, what's your story?"

The Italian girl looked surprised to see them, "Oh well... I was mad at someone who bullied me..."

"Me bully her??" Wondered Marinette (Ladybug) defensively in her mind.

Meanwhile Adrien (Chat) rolled his eyes in annoyance, "Really this is just crazy! Mari would never bully anyone, no sane person would believe her fib."

"Excuse me Ms..." Alya says appearing from the crowd with a slight frown at Lila's accusation.

Lila smiled widely at Alya, "Lila Rossi "

"Er.. yes, Ms. Rossi who exactly is this 'bully' you are talking about?" The aspiring reporter inquires.

Lila looks like she's thinking about it, "Well... I don't think I should mention who it is really. What if she targets me again? We both go Francois Du Ponte after all..."

"She play it good alright.." All three teens think.

"But maybe it might help the Teachers there keep you safe from that person." Alya suggests looking towards the heroes with a wink.

Both of her friends (under the mask) chuckled at the crafty reporter. Adrien thinking that it was no wonder Ladybug picked Alya for the Fox Miraculous. While Marinette silently praises her bestie for her slyness.

Lila smirked, "Well I'll tell you this for one the bully had blue hair and blue eyes. Her hair was in pigtails."

"Very vouge there Ms. Rossi. That c..." Alya was cut off by a laugh from the crowd.

Everyone turned to see the Mayor's daughter laughing at Lila. Both the heroes and Alya rose their brows in question. The latter waving over the blond girl.

"What so funny Ms. Bourgeois?" Alya inquired a little amused by her reaction to the Burnett's words.

Chloe stopped laughing and leveled Lila with a cold glare, "Honestly. Her description of her 'bully' fits one person in our school. I and surely most of my classmates would vouch that this person would never hurt a soul, no matter how despicable that person may be. Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous."

"I concur with her, Ms. Caseir. There is no way Ms. Dupine-Chang would ever hurt a person." Chat defends strongly.

This surprised the crowd, even his partner was surprised at his defence of her character. But she also felt a sense of comfort and warmth at his actions, she was happy that her partner knew her this well. A few of their classmates appeared from the crowd giving Lila stern looks, of course they would stand up for their long time friend over this person they hardly knew.

Alya pushed her glasses up her nose, "Ms. Rossi I would advise not giving false pretences about people who are clearly well spoken for by others. I would also ask you to review your own actions in the matter, last I checked you were lying through your teeth about a few things."

"Before you start accusing someone of bullying you better get to know that person first. I've made that mistake once and almost lost a potential friend." The red suited heroin states.

Beeping sounds came from the hero's accessories signaling their need for a quick exit. It was Chat who spoke.

"Well we've gotta s'cat! Wouldn't wanna reveal who we are to the public while Moth man is still fluttering about!" He says waving his farewell while volting away on his baton.

Ladybug smiles as she faces Alya, "Alright then, I've gotta go as well. But if you ever need an interview don't be afraid to give me a call."

She swings off, her transformation waring off just as she landed on the rooftop of La Grande Paris Hotel. Marinette kneels down and feeds Tikki some cookies.

"The nerve of her..." Marinette trails off unable to say any more.

Tikki pats her holder's hands, "Don't worry Marinette she'll get her karma one way or another. We're just lucky you have such good friends. Chloe really came through for you today!"

"Yes she did and so did Chat! I guess I never thought he thought of my civilian side that highly..." Says the teen trailing off a frown her face.

Tikki smiled, "Oh, Mari... those insecurities really do get the best of you sometimes. As I've said many times before, you're what makes Ladybug possible, I may give you the suite and the powers but you're personality and morals are what make you the hero! You're an everyday Ladybug in and out of the mask, the thing you do for others speak for themselves."

"You should really listen to her, because she's saying the truth. I've known you for year Mari and you've never been mean to anybody, even when that person was mean to you first. Look at what I put you through over the years! You've never given back all the grief I gave you, if ever did something bad to a person it wouldn't be without reason." Says Chloe who approached her friend from the door leading to the rooftop.

Mari smiles greeting her, "Hello Chloe. Thanks. Do you think I should reveal myself to Chat and Alya?"

"Maybe, I mean Alya deserves to know who really gave her the Fox. And Chat is your partner, you both should discuss this. I'd be easier that both of you know who the other is in case of an emergency happening. You never know what might happen to either of you at some point." Chloe responds sitting in front of her.

Tikki nods, "It has been a year or so Marinette. You and Chat have matured since then, and both of you have gotten stronger as well. Maybe you should discuss a possible reveal with him soon. I know Master Fu wouldn't mind as much anymore, just as long as you both reveal your selves out of everyone's view."

"If you ever need a place to reveal yourselves then you can use one of the suites at the hotel. There's one room that's secluded at the fifth floor, no one ever goes there. Or you can do it in the rooftop pool area, hardly anyone ever goes there." Chloe suggests to the blue haired girl.

Mari nods and then smiles thoughtfully, "I'll talk to Chat about this the next time we do patrol. And thanks again Chloe for standing up for me earlier."

"Of course! I owe you a lot Mari and I want to earn your forgiveness. I also want to prove that I am worthy of being a hero." Chloe states hugging her friend.

Tikki smiled widely, "You're proving that quiet well Chloe. And I'm sure if we ever need any back up, we'll give you that Miraculous properly."

"Pollen chose you as his older Chloe. He saw something in you that you have been denying in yourself for years. You are worthy of being a hero, you just had find your true self again." Mari says returning the embrace.

Chloe grinned widely feeling a sense of importance well in her. She never felt appreciated then she had at that moment, Marinette never failed to bring that feeling of self assurance upon anyone that's why Chloe missed having her as a friend.

The blonde socialite then asked, "Do you wanna have a sleepover tonight? We can call your parents to get them know you're here."

"That'd be lovely Chloe! It has been ages since you and I had a sleepover. Maybe next time we can invite Alya and the other girls." The bluenette says as they walked inside.

Chloe laughed lightly, "Yes. I'd be lovely to get all the ladies in a sweet for a few nights. Maybe during the term break."

Tikki watched the interaction and smiled to herself glad that Marinette had really great friends by her side. Most of the people in their class had a strong sense of humor within them, she could also tell that they'd be loyal team members one day. Chloe was proving that she was worthy of becoming a holder, as her reconnection with Marinette was slowly brining back the real person she really was and the mean girl that invaded her character.

"Maybe it is time to create team... some thing big is coming and we need to be ready for it." Thought the red Kwami as she followed the two girls into the hotel.

There was something coming and they won't see it coming for sure...

Oh wow! I've been putting this off for so long. I have been working some Pokemon fan Fics and my school stuff as well. But this first installment of my Miraculous fan fic series is almost coming to an end. One Chapter to go! The second one will take awhile to be posted so bare with me.
