11. Monster

As the decapitated body fell spilling blood all over the cabin floor, Anastasia's eyes widened, her body shook, and she screamed a fearful cry.

"Wasting no time, I see." Hugh said to which Blythe gave a light smile.

Closing his eyes, Subaru nodded and answered, "So be it then."

Just as Ren reunited with his lover, the other rest of victims, healers and merchants all watched as the bodies of the five Witch Cultists were all lifted into the air.

After removing his unseen hands from their mouths, the four men cursed while the Cursed doll chuckled, as he figured out who they were facing.

Turning back to everyone watching, Subaru said "I want you all to keep this as a secret.", to which everyone nodded.

"I know this power… I have fought this Authority before…It is Sloth, isn't it? So, you are the new Sin Archbishop of Sloth!" Blythe exclaimed with a shake of the head as he knew that they were truly in dire straits.

"You don't know who you are messing! You are just an inferior Sin compared to our mother!" Blythe added to which Subaru retorted, "You mean this mother", as his body then swirled into a black cloud and transformed into the blonde-haired Witch of Lust, Capella Emerada Lugunica.

Everyone was stunned, especially the people behind him since they were not aware that Subaru had such ability.

Copying Capella's dragon claw, Subaru reached out to the stunned Baron. After fitting Baron within his claw, Subaru slowly closes his claw.

"Stop! Ahhh! Stop it!" Baron screamed as the black bone was slowly digging into his flesh.

At one point, the crackle of bones would be followed along with a series of blood curling screams…. As soon as the screams stopped, the spectators would be treated with the sight of piles of flesh and blood oozing back out of dragon claw.

As true fear now began to take hold of them, the men tried to squirm their way out of Subaru's unseen hands.

"That is impossible! No one can possess two Authorities! What are you!?" Blythe exclaimed as Subaru then turned back to his original form.

Using Stillness of an Object's time, Subaru casually walked up to them in the air so that he could give them a reply that only they could hear.

"I am the worst of them all… A promise breaker." Subaru replied in a whisper with a weak smile as he remembered his failed world.

Taking a glance at Allan, Subaru slowly made a slash gesture towards him… after which a powerful burst of air sliced through Allan's left arm…

"Where is my wedding ring?" Subaru asked as he looked back with a cold look.

Unable to receive a proper answer, Subaru blew out air from his mouth in a consecutive manner causing air bullets to come out and fill the torso of Allan with holes… As blood splattered and screams rang aloud… the three other Witch Cultists were mortified at what they were seeing, especially Blythe since he knew the Authority Subaru was using, and it was the Authority of Greed, the most powerful of them all…

"Blythe! Blythe has your ring! Ahh! Od Laguna!" Allan screamed to which Subaru nodded. Having heard enough, Subaru snapped his finger, causing a vortex of wind to tear through Allan and slash his body into mincemeat.

Looking back at the sun, Hugh recounted Ardor's plan with a shivering voice, "This coming early afternoon, after your wife leaves your daughter to attend her class… Ardor will visit your wife in your house with four other Cursed Dolls ready to subdue her, while one of us grunt men would be assigned to kidnap your daughter…"

Looking back at Lucius for confirmation if Hugh was lying, Lucius simply gave a nod confirming Hugh's words. Receiving this confirmation, Subaru gave a light shuddered breath and a softened expression as he was relieved that he could still save Elsa and Meili.

"I could still make it", Looking back at the sun, Subaru knew that if they were to go back right now, he might just be able to make it in time.

After getting everyone in their respective dragon carriages, the three dragon carriages now then embarked their way back to their home village in Banan…

As the two merchant carriages lead out into the front, the dragon carriage of Anastasia acted as a guard at the back just in case something would go awry…

As the men and women of the two merchant carriages were getting tended by the healers, Subaru and Anastasia in their own dragon carriage were discussing about how they would proceed in rescuing the villagers that were heading to Capella's hideout, all the while easing each other's conscience about the situation they were in right now…

Seeing that it will be about a three-day journey for the Witch Cultists to arrive at Virga mountains by dragon carriage, Subaru sought out a route and mode of transportation that could possibly intersect the dragon carriages by that time… or even before that time…

"Flying Dragon" Subaru suggested to which Anastasia agreed.

Cutting the journey to only about a day's time, it would leave them enough time to rest and recruit the people necessary for the mission…

After formulating their plan, Subaru and Anastasia settled in the carriage seats, took a breath and comforted each other…

"Like I said, it is a reconstruction, it is not the same as healing. I can only handle problems that are physical. Mental, spiritual, and curses, that much is outside of my ability… So, I am not totally stealing your job *chuckle*" Subaru said as Chamomile and Subaru then had a light friendly banter.

"Hey, I am glad that all of you came back from this… But… after everything I have seen… Baru… Are you sure that you want to continue this pursuit of the Witch Cult?" Chamomile asked in concern, as she was worried that something similar would happen once again.

"Big Sis, it will be different this time, I promise you." Subaru said as he then stood up and looked back at Chamomile with confidence to reassure her.

Giving him a weak smile, Chamomile knew that he couldn't stop Subaru once he made up his mind. "I want all of you to come back safely, you hear?" Chamomile stated to which Subaru nodded.

Heading towards aisleway, Subaru would jokingly be greeted by Lucius who then informed Subaru of what had developed so far with their new plan of attack towards Capella's Witch Cult faction.

"We have managed to relay the location of Capella's base of operations in Vollachia to the Vollachian Emperor. The emperor responded that he will have Cecilus and three other Divine Generals handle the matter, upon your suggestion… Anna is now briefing Masters Zarestia and Halibel about Capella's base of operations in Kararagi… While Al and the Countess, Serena Dracroy, are now on their way here, along with the Baroness Priscilla Natsuki…"

"Alright, alright, it looks like everything is going smoothly"

"Su, Is this Baroness a relative of yours? I mean "Natsuki" is quite an uncommon name." Lucius asked to which Subaru explained that she adopted his last name as a pact between him and her after their battle in Vollachia.

As Elsa and Anastasia finally walked out carrying an unconscious Subaru, the people left in the were left sweating as they prayed for the safety of their friend and comrade.

"I wonder what Subaru's punishment will be?" Zarestia asked to which Halibel immediately responded with, "I don't know but… it will certainly be hard to come back from that…" to which many of the people in the room agreed.

Although they had already planned this during the time where Subaru was "healing" numerous people, having more purpose in the act was certainly giving them more motivation, especially if this motivation was to beat the prideful child, Priscilla…

After the pair nodded in agreement, Elsa went to her dressing cabinet, all the while, Anastasia now began to run through her clothing inside the suitcase she bought…
