Shikamaru sighed in exasperation. Here, he was with his now fiancée, Uzumaki Usagi, with his mother, Nara Yoshino, of all people. He was also in a middle of wedding plans, which was making Usagi more nervous. He knew that Usagi only wanted a simple wedding with friends and family, yet he also knew that his mother wanted a really big wedding. 'Sometimes being an heir to a clan is a drag,' thought Shikamaru with a frown.

"We also have to invite more people," said Yoshino who frowned at the guest list, "Especially, when my little Shika is being married to the Nanadaime's imōto."

That's right. Naruto finally achieved his long time dream as being the Seventh Hokage. Though, to protect his little sister, Naruto had to announce that Usagi was his. At least, it wasn't as bad when everyone found out about Usagi's hidden secret and why she didn't want to be a kunoichi…

- Flashback –

Everyone, starting from the Konoha 11 to all of their sensei, was in the Hokage Tower and staring at Naruto and Usagi. Even the reanimated Hokages before the Fifth Hokage, Senju Tsunade, were still there and STARING at Usagi. All of their jaws, besides Shikamaru's, were dropped comically to the floor as they stared at Usagi. Shikamaru was sure that Temari was seething as the Sand Siblings were also in on this meeting. It wasn't long that everyone snapped out of it and yelled out a question that probably all of Konoha could hear. "You heard me right, dattebayo," said Naruto with a frown.

"D-Demo," stuttered out Minato, "H-How is this possible?!"

"Well," said Usagi in thoughtfulness, "I believe it was due to me still being in the Galaxy Cauldron after reviving my protectors into another new chance at life. The Galaxy Cauldron could have felt that I was fading away due to me straining the powers of the Ginzuishō and probably wanted me to also have another chance at life."

"Is that why you never signed up to become a kunoichi in the ninja academy," questioned the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen.

"I felt as though I already fought so many battles already," said Usagi, "Couldn't I just, for one life, not have to fight for my life again?"

Everyone paused at what Usagi said. Naruto and Shikamaru already heard her tale, but they also remembered that in her other life, she always had to fight for those around her. She always had to protect everyone before taking care of herself. The both knew that, just like with the enemy Kaguya, Usagi would step up when it counts, but it's true. Usagi fought way too much in her other life that just once, she wanted a normal as possible life that didn't have her fighting for her life every single second. Both Naruto and Shikamaru wrapped an arm around Usagi as they glared at those questioning Usagi's decision of NOT becoming a kunoichi. "I believe that you indeed have the right to stop fighting," said Iruka.

"Agreed," said Kakashi with a nod, "Besides, we know that we can count on you if we really were in a pickle."

"Just surprised she stepped up with Kaguya though," said Ino, "I mean, I get that she wants to not fight anymore, but why go up against Kaguya?"

"She was taking her name in vain," explained a bored Shikamaru, "How would you react when the one object that you represent was used for evil? Usa-koi represents the true meaning of the words Usagi no Megami. She is the Moon hime that descended from goddesses in her time. She is THE Rabbit of the Moon. Kaguya being IN the Moon AND taking her title? Not a good combination for Kaguya, that's for sure."

All of the girls thought about it and started to get enraged. If they also represented something, such as Usagi with the Moon, they too would have been enraged. Just thinking about the other fan-girl type of kunoichi when they all were in the ninja academy left a bad taste in their mouths. But, for Ino and Sakura, they had the worst taste until they grew up and became stronger, learning to be TRUE kunoichi. "I get it," said Ino, "Thanks for telling us, Shikamaru."

"Mendokusē," muttered Shikamaru.

"Since we are finally done with the debriefing," said Tsunade who was eyeing the reanimated forms of the four former Hokages, "What are we going to do with you?"

"Hashirama and I will be going back to the afterlife," said Tobirama, "We are very happy that you have become a wonderful person, my niece."

"I agree," said a happy Hashirama, "It was great to also learn about how Tobirama used his water techniques! Having the powers of Neptune was such a rush!"

"I, too, will also be going back to the afterlife," confessed Hiruzen, "It… has been a wonderful opportunity to fight alongside those precious to me, but this soul is getting too old for fighting wars."

"And you, sensei," questioned Kakashi who turned to Minato.

"I," started Minato with a smile, "Am going to stay in the land of the living for a bit longer. I want to help with the rest of the cleanup that Usagi's miracle hasn't cleaned up yet. Also… Minato turns to Shikamaru & Usagi. How can I leave when I have a wedding to attend in the future?"

Everyone blinked at Minato's words before turning to the couple. Naruto, on his part, knew that Shikamaru was planning to propose to Usagi in the near future, but with the war and everything else, it fell to the wayside. Naruto was also sure that Usagi was going to do another miracle once this debriefing was done. Usagi, on her part, flushed a bit as she looked at Shikamaru for confirmation on what her father just said. She knew, in her heart, that she would have no other, but just a confirmation would really make her day. Shikamaru, on his part, cursed inwardly at his so-called father-in-law. This was NOT how he wanted to propose to Usagi either. "Mendokusē," grumbled Shikamaru, "I was going to propose, but with the war, it wasn't the right time. It's STILL not the right time; so, just be patient with me, alright Usa-koi?"

"I'll wait for you forever, Shika-kun," said Usagi sweetly.

"Awe," cooed the girls at the couple.

"Pops," said Naruto, "I learned to NEVER scheme between those two. When the wedding comes, it will come."

"Fine," grumbled Minato.

"Now," said Usagi with a chirp, "I have one other thing to do that I almost forgot!"

"And that is," questioned Obito wearily.

"Resurrect Sarutobi Asuma of course," chirped Usagi.

"NANI," shouted everyone besides…

"NOT WHEN YOU ARE STILL RECOVERING YOURSELF, USAGI," shouted Naruto.

- End Flashback –

'Mendokusē,' thought Shikamaru with a smile, 'Usagi really is something when she wants to do something for a loved one.'

As Shikamaru was thinking back on the meeting, he almost missed his mother humming and walking out of their kitchen table. Shikamaru sighed at how his mother was basically taking over the wedding plans, but he knows Usagi. She wouldn't say anything to not trouble his life any further than it always had. He knew that it also stemmed to her so-called protectors belittling her in her other life, leading her to her self-doubt and her low self-esteem. Shikamaru turned his head slightly to see Usagi clenching a bit of his kitchen table's cloth in her hand. 'She really doesn't want this big of a wedding,' thought Shikamaru as he started a conversation, "Usagi?"

"Your mom wants a big wedding because of 'Ruto-nī being Hokage and my hidden secret of being a hime," said Usagi, "A-And I get that, demo I really wish to only have friends and family there."

"Then, that's what we'll do," said Shikamaru gently as he pulled Usagi to him, Usagi sitting on his lap.

"Demo," started Usagi.

"Usa-koi," said Shikamaru, "This is OUR day. It is not my mother's. It is not your father's. It is not even our friend's day. This wedding day is OURS. So, if you want to have a smaller wedding than what kāsan has planned, I'll support you all the way."

"Even though it will be troublesome for you," said a slight teasing Usagi who was still feeling nervous.

"I told you before," said Shikamaru with a smirk, "You will never be troublesome to me. My mom, however…"

Shikamaru reveled in how soft Usagi's giggles were in his ear. Gently using his hand to move Usagi's face towards him, Shikamaru leaned up and planted a kiss on Usagi's lips. He knew that it will be really troublesome to convince his mom about a smaller wedding, but for Usagi, he will do anything to keep her happy. 'After all,' thought Shikamaru, 'She deserves it.'

- A Week Later –

"You want the wedding to be where," questioned a surprised Naruto.

Naruto and Usagi were having a sibling day out. Naruto was fine with this since he could always make Kage Bunshin (Shadow Clones) to help with the paperwork. Besides, he really wanted to have a day with Usagi all to himself. It has been a long time since the two hung out with each other. Sure, Naruto had his own friends to hang out with, but he couldn't, for the life of him, remembers if Usagi had other friends besides Shikamaru, who was now her fiancé, Akimichi Chōji, and, surprisingly, Mitarashi Anko. He was sure that Usagi also had other civilian friends, but the known friends he knew were ninjas. So, when Usagi suggested a place for the wedding, Naruto was surprised. "I," started Usagi nervously, "I want everyone close to me to experience my own dimension. I… I also miss my other friends from that dimension, too."

"Who," questioned Naruto gently.

"There was Ōsaka Naru," said Usagi with a sad smile, "She was my very first friend until Sailor Moon happened, and I had to pull away for her safety. She was always there with me, but since some of those Youma always targeted her, I thought it was my fault that she was targeted since my aura would pulse next to hers. She was even mistaken for my heroine identity with my first enemies."

Naruto listened closely as he watched Usagi become sadder. He could tell that it was heartbreaking for his little sister about pulling away from people due to her being a heroine in her own right. He could see Usagi reminiscing about an older brother figure named Furahata Motoki, Naru's boyfriend, Umino Gurio, and even a teacher named Sakurada Haruna. He was surprised to hear about the many enemies-turned-friends that Usagi has missed as well. Even though Usagi wanted a small wedding, he knew that the wedding wouldn't be perfect if it didn't also have ALL of Usagi's friends within said wedding. He could also sense Shikamaru was also nearby and heard what Usagi wanted as well, even though Shikamaru was with Team Asuma for their weekly team hang out. "Did you recommend this to Shikamaru," questioned Naruto gently.

"Īe," said Usagi, "I know it would be too troublesome for any of you to traverse into an unknown dimension, especially you, onīchan. You are the Hokage. You can't disappear from your duties, same with Shika-kun. It would be a waste to even mention it."

"You forget that I can also infuse a Kage Bunshin with Asura's powers," said Naruto, "You're not the only one that's a reincarnation with powers, dattebayo."

"We really are twins," giggled Usagi who forgotten that Naruto was also a reincarnate.

"Yup," said Naruto, "Besides, we could always go to your dimension, grab your friends, and bring them here to see you get hitched."

"You really think we can do that," questioned Usagi.

"We can," said Shikamaru's voice from behind Usagi, "If Naruto can also do Kage Bunshin for those missing and infuse them with Asura's powers, we can all go gather your precious people before the wedding."

Usagi's throat hitched when she heard Shikamaru's voice. She knew this was for Naruto and Usagi to have a sibling bonding day, but she never dreamed of her idea being out in the open for Shikamaru to hear. She also tended to forget that Shikamaru would come here to this same BBQ place where the siblings were in with his own team from his genin days. Turning her head, she saw Shikamaru who was frowning a bit at Usagi, Ino, Chōji, and Asuma behind him. Shikamaru knew that there was something holding Usagi back once they picked colors and who would be IN said wedding, but he didn't know that it was because Usagi was missing her other life's dimension where she made connections to many people there. He wasn't sure to have the Senshi come to their wedding due to what they have done to Usagi, but the civilians and enemies-turned-friends? How could Shikamaru say no to Usagi in getting them from that dimension for THEIR day. "Shika," said Usagi.

"I wouldn't think that gathering your friends would be troublesome, Usa-koi," said Shikamaru, "This day is not just about me, but also about you. You've done so much just for Naruto and me. The lease we could all do is gather YOUR precious people and bring them here for the day."

"Hontō ni," questioned Usagi with hopeful eyes.

"Hai," said a now alive Asuma who piped up, "Though, let's talk at the Hokage Tower with the others."

As everyone gathered their belongings and paid for the food, all five went towards the Hokage Tower, Naruto making enough Kage Bunshin to gather everyone who lives in Konohagakure. Shikamaru was jumping from rooftop to rooftop with Usagi in his arms. He could feel how Usagi loves seeing the scenery from up top and decided that in the future, he'll make sure most dates have something like this. He could also feel how Usagi was cuddling up against his chest as her eyes sparkled at how high they were going. Unbeknownst to the couple, the other four lagged behind, Team Asuma wanting to question Naruto on Usagi's behavior. "What's up with Usagi," questioned Ino.

"What do you mean," questioned Naruto.

"She means," said Asuma, "Usagi has a very low opinion about herself. Even though she is mostly a civilian with wonderful grades, Usagi also doesn't really ask for anything."

"Ah," said Naruto with a sad face on, "Usagi has always been that way ever since she regained her memories when we were very young. She told me a lot about how her past life was. Since she was reincarnated on Earth when she died as the Tsuki no Hime, she didn't know that she was a hime."

There, Naruto told Team Asuma, besides the couple, how Usagi would be sent out of her house because her mother at that time threw her out of her house due to having low grades. He explained that was another reason why she wanted to stay as a civilian. She wanted to prove to her last mother that she was smart, just had a learning disability, like he did. Team Asuma listened as Naruto told them how her protectors always pushed her to be someone she was not anymore, especially one who would always call her names and make her doubt herself. That person also never listened when she was late to battles due to another Youma sighting that she had to take care of. He then explained that due to her powers, those powers sucked out her life energy, or as they liked to say chakra, just to defeat each and every Youma. He also told them that due to that, she had to eat a lot of food just to gain the energy back that she lost and then some. Team Asuma were now suppressing their killer intent as they heard how Usagi was treated in her old life. "That's very depressing," said Chōji.

"That's why she wants a small wedding," said Naruto, "She doesn't want to be surrounded by people who would judge her. She may be a past hime, but she's her own person and grew up differently than her past self, dattebayo."

"Man," said Ino, "When we get to her dimension, do you think that she'll be alright with me pounding some sense into one of her protectors?"

"I'm sure you're going to have to hold Shikamaru and myself back," said a smirking Naruto. "We have first dibs."

- At The Hokage Tower –

"Alright," said Sakura with her arms crossed, "We're all here."

"Yeah, Hokage," said Kiba with a smirk, "Why did you call all of us here?"

"Especially me," muttered Tsunade while her assistant, Shizune, hushed her.

True to Naruto's word, his Kage Bunshin gathered the rest of Konoha 11, Sasuke, his replica, Sai, and his resurrected brother, Shin, Team 7's other sensei, Yamato, the still reanimated Minato, Tsunade, Shizune, the still alive Obito, and all of the Konoha 11's sensei. The only sensei who was not there was Asuma's wife, Kurenai, due to her watching over their daughter, Mirai. Everyone was confused on why Naruto called on them and why Team Asuma were trying to calm their slowly leaking killer intent. Naruto, on his part, walked and sat down at his desk before his blue eyes looked at everyone. "Well, this is going to be an A-rank to S-rank mission," said Naruto, "I just need to know who will volunteer to go on this mission."

"And what kind of mission are we going on if it's that high," questioned Sasuke curiously.

"This mission is a protection sort of mission for Uzumaki Usagi, one fiancée to Nara Shikamaru, and the best little sister a Hokage could ask for," said Naruto, "Of course, Nara Shikamaru, along with Team Asuma and I, already agreed to go."

"Demo, gaki (brat)," said Tsunade, "You are the Hokage. You don't have to go on this mission."

"I want to," said Naruto, "Besides, it's in the support of my imōto that I go."

"Exactly WHERE would we be going if we decide to volunteer for this mission," questioned Kakashi with a raised eyebrow.

"We will be going to retrieve some wedding guests for one Nara Shikamaru and one Uzumaki Usagi's wedding," said Naruto.

"So, that's why you need a big enough group to go for protection," mumbled Shino.

"However," said Naruto, "This is a protection detail type mission because those that are volunteering to protect Usagi, adjacent in protecting your Hokage, which is me, as well, are going to do a dimensional jump to retrieve SAID wedding guests."

"NANI?!"
