Dimensional travel was just so wonky, especially for ninjas who were now sporting something that was definitely NOT their usual shinobi outfits they left in. Usagi looked down at herself to see that she was wearing a form fitting dress that was off the shoulder and in the Nara clan colors; she also had the Uzumaki crest on her left breast as well. Turning around, she couldn't help the dreamy look she had gotten when she saw Shikamaru wearing a fitted green t-shirt and slacks, making his muscles more defined. She spied Naruto actually wearing a light orange jacket that actually complimented the black shirt he was wearing, an orange Uzumaki crest on the left. "W-What is this," questioned Ino who was now in a pretty light blue dress.
"Welcome to my dimension," said Usagi, "Where clothes are more… hm… I guess, more advanced?"
"I like this jacket," said Naruto, "Think I can keep it?"
"Depends if the dimension will let us," said Kakashi lazily.
"I'm surprised tōsan didn't come," said Naruto.
"That's because Tsunade dragged him back to doing Hokage duties so that you didn't have to use a Kage Bunshin to trick the populace of Konohagakure," informed Sakura.
Naruto scratched the back of his head sheepishly as he remembered what Tsunade did. He was surprised that a lot of people wanted to come after Naruto explained what the mission was about…
- Flashback –
Naruto winced at the loud shout that everyone produced together. He saw Usagi and Shikamaru also wincing as well where they were seated on. Though, to be fair, no one knew that dimensional travel was a thing until this mission was brought up. Naruto, however, had faith that Usagi had power to traverse dimensions and gather the necessary people to make her wedding a dream come true. He did, however, look at the incredulous faces surrounding them all. "Naruto," said Minato, "Musuko, dimensional travel was never invented. Sure, there are theories by the powers of Fūinjutsu, demo those were just that… theories."
"Tōsan," said a deadpanned Naruto, "Did you forget about one of Usagi's crystals that she lent to us during the war?"
"What are you talking about," questioned Shin.
"Well," said Neji, "Usagi used her unique powers to give some of us planetary crystals that could combat the evil Kaguya. Mine was Uranus, the Planet of Wind."
"And one of them was Pluto," said Shikamaru with his own deadpanned face, "The Planet of Space and Time."
As they heard what Pluto represented, those that already knew almost face-palmed at forgetting. They, however, knew it wasn't their fault for not remembering since they wanted to put the war they fought in the back of their minds and bury it with a lot of things. The war was just so unpleasant and they realized that Usagi was the same, albeit hers was much more painful. Now, they knew that why this mission was called if they recalled the depressing thing. No matter how painful theirs was, Usagi's was far more painful since she was thrown into a new universe with no way to see her precious people. "So, using Pluto's powers," said Naruto, "We have a sure way in getting there and back."
"Then, why the protection," questioned Yamato.
"Insurance," said Naruto with a shrug, "And I rather have Usagi have protection. Call me overprotective, but Usagi is my imōto. As an onīsan, it is my right to make sure she is safe and happy."
"Spoken like a true brother, usuratonkachi," said Sasuke with a smirk, "For the record, I volunteer to go to protect your precious sister."
"Same here," said Sakura, "Kakashi-sensei should come as well!"
"If Team Kakashi is going, Sai and I should go as well," said Yamato.
"Shin should come too," said Sai with a smile.
"Demo," said Shizune, "Just how many guests you are all planning to gather?"
That question stopped everyone else from agreeing to go with Usagi to the other dimension. They really didn't know how many guests were going to come into Konohagakure. They also realized that besides supporting his younger twin sister, Naruto was going to do some paperwork to make Usagi's guests have a three visitation day pass just for the wedding. 'Naruto was really thinking ahead,' thought some of the people in the room in amazement.
"Usa," questioned Minato.
"Um," said a nervous Usagi, "The Ayakashi sisters and their reformed ōji, Saphir, make five people. Then, there's my best friend, Ōsaka Naru, and her boyfriend, Umino Gurio. There are my big brother figure, Furahata Motoki, and his little sister, Unazuki, as well as his girlfriend… maybe wife? …Nishimura Reika."
Usagi nervously told everyone who she wished would be at her wedding, which included former nemeses. They were surprised by how many people Usagi has healed to become good people in her old life, but at least, it would balance out with the entire Nara clan in attendance. Usagi flushed as she named about thirty-nine people, and counting, after she was done. She knew that most of them were probably not even on Earth and would unlikely attend, but she could still dream, right? "Gomen," said Usagi with a bow, "I knew this would be too out of the way."
"Usa," said Shikamaru, "I already told you that nothing you do is troublesome."
"Shikamaru is right," said Naruto, "We all love you and want you to actually have a beautiful wedding. If we have to get all of those people, then we will."
"D-Demo," said Usagi, "W-We may not find all of them."
"And that's okay," said Shikamaru, "As long as you have you friends with you, even if it's a small amount, that will still make this wedding perfect for us, especially when we want a small wedding."
"Shika," said Usagi as she looked at Naruto, "Nīsan, arigatō."
"We have your back, dattebayo," said Naruto who did gave a nice guy pose.
Everyone could tell that Usagi really didn't want to trouble all of them, especially Shikamaru and Naruto. They could tell that Usagi felt bad for suggesting in going to this new unknown place. Yet, they could see the love and affection both Naruto and Shikamaru have. They knew the full extent on what they were going into and knew that they would always want to protect Usagi, including her place within this world. They, however, weren't ready for Naruto to also say: "Besides, Kurama and I also want to kick your protectors for making your self-esteem basically nonexistent!"
"Eh," questioned Tenten.
"Yeah," said Naruto with a frown, "Usagi told me everything that happened during her two life times. Yet, the frustrating thing was how they always tried to push Usa into being someone she was not, along with a certain guardian not training her properly to deal with what she went through."
"No training," exclaimed Ino, "You did NOT tell us that!"
"I kind of forgot about that guardian part," said Naruto, "Demo, essentially, Usa had no training when she became a warrior in her own right. She was just thrown in the deep end, and Kurama and I agreed that if we had the chance, we would school those protectors on what they did."
"Then, I am glad that I'm coming, too," said Sakura with righteous fury behind her.
"I want to come too," said Tenten, "No sister-in-arms should have done whatever has done to Usagi."
"I want to go too," said Hinata.
"If Hinata-sama goes, I'll go to," said Neji.
"Yoshi( Alright)," said Lee enthusiastically, "Then, Team Gai will be another team that goes!"
"I agree with my hip student," exclaimed Maito Gai, "Count me in as well!"
"I, too, would like to go as well," said a familiar yet surprising voice.
Everyone blinked as they heard that familiar male voice. They all turned to see Gaara in his Kazekage outfit walking into the room. Naruto blinked in surprise before he smacked his forehead. He definitely forgot that Gaara and he had a meeting between their two nations. Of course, Gaara was also there with his siblings because Usagi asked Gaara and his siblings to be at the wedding. She apparently became friendly with Gaara during the war, especially when Naruto wouldn't let Usagi be alone most days. "I forgot that you were coming," said Naruto sheepishly.
"This meeting seems more important," said Gaara.
"And don't worry about the Sunagakure," piped up Kankurō, "Temari and I can handle the village until the actual wedding starts."
"That's not a bad idea," said Tsunade as she turned to Naruto, "Alright, gaki. You can go with Usagi to this dimension. Your tōsan and I can handle Konohagakure until you all get back."
"Eh," exclaimed an incredulous Minato before pouting, "I wanted to go too."
"Also, with three teams AND five others," said Tsunade who ignored Minato, "You have more than adequate protection, gaki."
- End Flashback –
"So, where to first," questioned Tenten.
"To the Ayakashi's Beauty Store," said Usagi.
"Beauty Store," questioned the girls.
The boys all sighed at how the girls were now in girl talk mode. Usagi giggled as Sakura, Ino, and Hinata were talking about what kind of beauty products this universe has with Tenten giving some impute. Shikamaru and Naruto were just glad that Usagi wasn't really into makeup in their own universe. She also didn't really need make up to enhance anything. As everyone walked down the street, Usagi directing them, they were surprised to see a two-story building that had displays of different types of makeup. They could see that there was a guy with dark blue hair sighing amongst four different girls. They also could hear what they were saying. "We should really dedicate this beauty product to the late Tsuki no Hime by just her title alone," argued the girl with an intricate braid.
"You know as well as I do that she could have been reincarnated," argued the one with brown hair.
"Exactly," agreed the one with dark green hair, "We should wait if she comes back or not."
"I am glad that you want to name a beauty product after my title," said Usagi from behind the male, the other ninjas behind her, "Demo, please do not fight over it."
The four women AND the man tensed at the familiar voice before they looked behind the man to see Usagi in all of her glory. The ninjas were surprised to see all five of them gathering tears before they rushed towards Usagi and embraced her like a long lost friend, which was true to them. They never have gotten any details once the other Senshi came back from wherever they were fighting the last time. "Usagi," said the light brown haired woman.
"We were so worried," said the dark purple haired one, "Especially…"
"Especially," questioned Usagi.
"Especially when Mars," said the male with Mars having a spiteful tone to it, "Became so-called leader of the Senshi and not once told us what happened."
"Yeah," said the one in the braid, "She just said that you messed up once more and that the other Senshi had to step in after you… perished."
"What a bunch of liars," growled out Naruto loudly.
That prompted the five before the huge ninja group to pause and step back from Usagi. They eyed the people that Usagi was surrounded in, not missing how Shikamaru's arm was around Usagi's waist, Usagi finally getting to place her head on Shikamaru's shoulder. The two actually looked really good together, but they wondered who this person is. They also could tell that Shikamaru and Usagi were totally in love with each other. "May we know your entourage, himesama," questioned the dark blue haired man.
"Hai," said a happy Usagi, "To know about my companions, you have to know that I was reincarnated into a world full of ninjas."
"Ha," laughed out the brown haired female, "I was right! The hime was reincarnated!"
"Anyways," said Usagi who sweat-dropped and pointed each one by name, "This is my older twin brother, Uzumaki Naruto, with his teammates, Uchiha Sasuke, Haruno Sakura, Hatake Kakashi, Sai, and Yamato. Then, there's Hyūga Hinata and her cousin Neji and his teammates, Tenten, Rock Lee, and Maito Gai. There is also Sabaku no Gaara, the leader of his own village. Over here, we have Sarutobi Asuma and the team he is leader to, Yamanaka Ino, Akimichi Chōji, and Nara Shikamaru, who is my fiancé."
"Fiancé," exclaimed the five.
"Un," nodded Usagi with a small blush on her face.
"Finally got a worthy guy for you, huh Usagi-chan," teased the one with a braid before… "My name is Berthier. These are my sisters: the dark purple haired Kōan, the brown haired Calaveras, and the dark green haired Petz."
"I am Saphir of the Dark Moon Clan," introduced the blue haired male, "It is a pleasure to meet you."
Everyone was pleasant after the introduction. Usagi was smiling happily, but she was also surprised to hear that most of her precious people were all friends. She also felt sadden that after her so-called demise, her ex-fiancé and one of her protectors got together afterwards without mourning her. Shikamaru could sense her sadness as he just calmly hugged her close to him. It wasn't long that Kōan called those that Usagi wished to see, telling them that there was a surprise for them all at the Ayakashi's beauty shop. "Daijōbu," questioned Shikamaru.
"Un," nodded Usagi, "I had expected what the Ayakashi sisters and Saphir explained to me, demo…"
"…It still doesn't stop the hurt," said Shikamaru.
"Un," nodded Usagi.
"Don't worry," said Shikamaru who kissed Usagi's forehead, "After this, you don't have to see those backstabbers any longer."
- A Few Hours Later –
Shikamaru and co. were using their ninja practices as they hid anywhere within the shop. There, Shikamaru also used his shadows to hide him, Naruto, and Usagi, Usagi being in the middle of the two males. Usagi, on her part, was point out who came into the shop, starting with Usagi's beloved friend, Naru. There, she pointed out Sailor Galaxia in civilian form, along with her Sailor Animamates, all thirteen of them. Usagi also pointed out Motoki, his girlfriend, and his little sister. She, to her surprise, also pointed out her reincarnated aunt from the Moon Kingdom, along with the Sailor Starlights and their own hime. She also pointed out the Amazon Trio and the Amazon Quartet. Shikamaru and Naruto could feel the happiness Usagi gave out in waves as she pointed each one of her precious people to the two most precious people within her heart. The two frowned as Usagi finally gave off sad and pained waves as she nervously told the two who came in: her eight protectors and her ex-fiancé. "So, why are we here," questioned the haughty Sailor Mars, Hino Rei.
"Who brought her," questioned Calaveras.
"I did," questioned Unazuki, "Was I not supposed to?"
"Well, we can get away with asking this then," said Saphir with a tired sigh.
"He sounds a bit like you," whispered a joking Naruto.
"Mendokusē," whispered Shikamaru, gaining silent laughter from the Uzumaki twins.
"Ask what," questioned Sailor Mercury, Mizuno Ami.
"Ask Mars here on why she said the hime failed, making the other Senshi to step in," said Saphir.
The Sailor Starlights, their hime, Kakyū, the Sailor Animamates, and Sailor Galaxia all glared at Rei. They knew the REAL ending to the Sailor Wars, and it wasn't how Rei told it. They, however, noted that the Outer Senshi were glaring at Rei as well. Those four didn't know that Rei was spreading lies about their hime. They were even enraged when their so-called ōji stayed silent. "You did what," questioned an enraged Sailor Uranus, Tenō Haruka.
"It's not lying," said Rei as she pointed at Galaxia, "Usagi should have gotten rid of that threat! Instead, Galaxia and her so-called good Senshi are living on Earth!"
"Usagi saved our lives," said Sailor Neptune, Kaiō Michiru, "And you besmirch her good name all because she gave others a second chance?!"
"You probably lied so that you could get into Mamoru's pants," mocked Haruka.
"She did not," spoke up the other Inners.
"With everything we've been through, including dying," said Sailor Venus, Aino Minako, "She should have avenged us instead of protecting her."
"Demo, Galaxia was also manipulated by the real enemy, Chaos," pointed out Sailor Star Maker, Kō Taiki.
"I bet that's what she all wanted you to think," said Rei with a glare, "She DOES have the Ginzuishō. She probably manipulated our memories!"
"That's not true," said Sailor Star Healer, Kō Yaten, "While you all were DEAD, we were with her all through that last battle and witnessed her driving out the real enemy, sealing it into the Galaxy Cauldron. The only thing before her demise was when YOU all appeared before us as she disappeared into the Galaxy Cauldron."
Those that were new to the whole Senshi thing were staring at the ones that should have cared for Usagi as a friend. They were horrified in what they were listening to. They could see how Kino Makoto, otherwise known as Sailor Jupiter, did not comment on what happened. All the hate and anger about dying for Usagi as she battled on was left to fester. They placed Usagi on a pedestal, wanting her to save them every time that everything came crashing down after Usagi SAVED Sailor Galaxia. Except… except, that was how Usagi is! Usagi is always the pure soul that could see the good in ANYONE. She could see the pain in others and try her hardest to save them from themselves. The Inners definitely had forgotten about that. "Do you really think that Usagi is an avenger," questioned the quiet Sailor Saturn, Tomoe Hotaru, "Do you forget that our hime is always the kind soul that sees good in just about anyone? Do you forget that she is the representation of everything that is good?"
"I believe that it is time for you five to leave," said Sailor Pluto, Meiō Setsuna, "And reflect on what the ending of the Sailor Wars was all about. We all grieve for our hime, yet we are not like you who are trying to justify losing our hime by blaming everything that happened on her."
Shikamaru could feel Usagi's tears through his shirt as she listened to the pain her protectors were in. As what Naruto and Shikamaru agreed on, Usagi would always forgive her protectors, even the haughty Rei, for everything that was on her. It, however, did not justify on those five putting Usagi down, especially when in the final battle, Usagi used up HER strength and revived her protectors once more, losing her life. The Inners winced at Hotaru and Setsuna's harshness as they gathered their belongings and left the Ayakashi sisters' shop. Heavy tension was felt everyone, including the angry kunoichi that were hiding. They couldn't believe that those five would even blame Usagi for being herself… her kind self. "So, that just happened," said Motoki who looked at the departing Mamoru in disappointment.
"I can't believe them," growled out Sailor Star Fighter, Kō Seiya.
"Grief makes everyone react differently," said Naru as she pressed herself next to Gurio.
"And blaming everything, including the battles, on one of the purest person we have ever met," questioned the alien, Fiore.
"I agree with Fiore," said Ann, "I know that most of us have been nasty to Usagi, demo she was the one that purified us. She saved all of us, not just her protectors, and I respect what she has to go through."
"I miss her too, Ann," said Ail who hugged his significant other.
"Well," said Petz, "About Usagi…"
A lot of eyes were on Petz as she trailed off about Usagi. She knew that her sisters and Saphir called them all here for Usagi, but the tension that was kind of still in the air by the Inners and Mamoru made her pause. She didn't know how she would reveal Usagi to everyone that held Usagi in such high regards, no matter what kind of faults she had. She was, however, glad that Usagi and her entourage revealed themselves instead. Naruto, on his part, was ready to unleash Kurama on the Inners for hurting his imōto's feelings, Shikamaru not far behind. "What the…," started Haruka who was jabbed by Michiru's arm to stop Haruka from swearing.
"I-Is that," questioned a surprised teary Queen Nehelenia.
"Nehelenia-sama," questioned Sailor Ceres, CereCere.
"U-Usagi," said Queen Nehelenia as she rushed towards Usagi.
When they heard the word Usagi coming out of Queen Nehelenia's mouth, they all gave a start before looking to the person who Queen Nehelenia was hugging. There, in a dress, was Usagi in all of her glory. Her eyes were also red from crying her pain out on Shikamaru's chest when the Inners were being cruel, though that didn't stop the fresh, new tears coming out. Usagi, on her part, felt the safety of her reincarnated aunt's arms and smiled up at Queen Nehelenia. It was there that everyone surged forward and hugged the daylights out of Usagi. It wasn't until Naruto pulled Usagi to his arms using the Kawarimi no Jutsu. "Hey, lady," said Naruto, "I know you are imōto's past obasan and that you ALL Naruto gestures with his free arm. are her precious people, demo let her BREATH, will ya?!"
"IMŌTO," questioned everyone loudly.
"Usagi was reincarnated into our world," explained Kakashi, "As Uzumaki Usagi, Uzumaki Naruto's younger twin sister."
"Yokatta (I'm glad)," said Fish's Eye with watery eyes.
"Same here," said Tiger's Eye, "Demo, why are you here?"
"We wish to bring you to Usagi's wedding," said Gaara.
"Eh," shouted everyone once more, "Usagi's getting married?!"
"Mendokusē," muttered Shikamaru.
With that declaration, everyone was asking questions while Usagi tried, and failed, to answer them. The ninjas couldn't really do anything because it wasn't like they were hurting Usagi. They, however, were surprised to see Haruka and Seiya fiercely glaring at Shikamaru. They didn't know that Usagi also had overprotective friends as well in this dimension. Shikamaru knew that Usagi wasn't troublesome, but the events with her kind of were. He braced himself just as Usagi hugged his waist and smiled serenely at her friends. "Minx," muttered Shikamaru in Usagi's ear.
"THAT'S our new ōji," questioned Haruka in surprise.
"Hm," hummed Setsuna, "They look adorable together."
"At least," said Yaten, "His hairstyle is better than another's, even if it looks like a pineapple head."
"Huh," said Ino, "It DOES look like a pineapple head!"
"Ino," growled Shikamaru with a glare.
"Nani," asked an innocent Ino, "You know that it's true."
"Mendokusē," grumbled Shikamaru as he let his head fall on top of Usagi's shoulder.
Seeing Usagi with a gentle smile after learning what the Inners' grief have led to, Usagi's remaining protectors smiled at one another. Maybe it was also time to move on with their lives. Sure, they were successful at what they do, yet without Usagi, their lives felt monotonous. The Outers looked at each other and nodded to each other in agreement. They looked at Queen Nehelenia and saw that she too smirked at their way. The past queen of the Dark Moon knew what the Outers were going to do, and she was sure that she, along with those that protect her now, will leave too. "Hime," asked Hotaru hesitantly.
"Nani," questioned Usagi.
"D-Do you think that I can move into the dimension YOU are in," questioned Hotaru.
"Eh," questioned Usagi.
"Same here," said Hawk's Eye, "I'm sure that most of us would like to see what your dimension has to offer at a new life."
"D-Demo, your lives here," questioned Usagi.
"We want to be where you live," said Haruka, "I know that most of us would want to live in a different life."
"It's going to be dangerous," pointed out Shin, "Our lives are that of a ninja. If you move into our dimension, you may have to learn how to kill."
"Shin has a point," said Shino, "Why? Because we live in a kill or be killed era, and if you move, you will be subjected to the way of our lives."
"S-So, Usagi-chan is a," started Reika.
"Īe," refuted Naruto, "Imōto is a civilian. She'll give us powers to defeat an evil, sure, but mostly, she doesn't even fight."
The others looked at each other and sighed inwardly in relief. They knew that she had the powers to actually annihilate the universe, but hearing that she stopped fighting mostly in that other dimension eased their hearts. Their friend, their hime, was not tainting herself with kills that she may not have stomached. It wasn't long that Sailor Galaxia asked to move to that dimension as well, but she will leave to the Solar System to protect that dimension from outside forces like she has always done. The same was met with Sailor Galaxia's Sailor Animamates. "Ugh," groaned out Naruto as he surprised everyone by releasing a bunch of papers and ink, "More paperwork."
"Well, you ARE our leader, Hokage-sama," teased Sakura.
"Yeah, usuratonkachi," said a smirking Sasuke, "Besides, you can do the Kage Bunshin to help you with this."
"Yeah, yeah," said Naruto.
"Gomen nasai, onīchan," said a bashful Usagi.
"Daijōbu, daijōbu," said Naruto before turning to the assembled people in front of him, "Now then! Let's get organized! Left is the people staying in THIS dimension while right is the people who will be moving to OUR dimension!"
AN: Grief of any kind can take on many different forms. For the Inners, their grief of NOT saving their precious person resulted in misplaced anger. As Yugioh GX has shown in a couple of episodes, putting someone on a pedestal to save THEM resulted in death and anger. So! I went with that route between Usagi and the Inner Senshi and Mamoru for this story. Their misplaced anger warped Usagi's TRUE personality, especially when they found out she was their hime who had NO training whatsoever. They are really great friends in the anime series, but dang do they always get on Usagi a lot for not being more hime like, especially Luna. ｡゜(｀Д´)゜｡
