A/N: Before we begin I just want to say.

Thank you to all of you for the favs/follows. We are close to 100 favs. And 170 follows. I honestly had no idea when I started this story that it would be liked by so many, but thank you all for the support and I will continue this for as long as I can.

This story started with a simple idea in my head a long time ago. But now it is finally released to the world and nobody can stop it now. I know it was a long road to get here and finally, we are getting to the main point of the show. But I rather take my time with it and actually get some back story rather than get to the main dish. Like I said in the first chapter I was new to this and I had no idea how far I was going to take this.

But now I feel like I have actually gotten better(a little better) at writing. Now I will say I'm still working on it but still got a little better in my point.

Anyway like I said before thank you all and here is the chapter!

Chapter 30: A Beacon of Pain

Earlier that day!

"Seven a.m waking up in the morning!"

"What are you doing Seth?" Pyrrha looked at me confusingly.

"Ugh... Singing, why was it bad?"

"No, just wondering why you are singing."

"Well to be honest here, I'm trying to distract myself. These headaches are becoming a problem now."

"You still have them? Will you be alright for today?" Pyrrha told me with concern.

"I'll be fine. If anything I'll probably take some painkillers to see if that settles it down for a bit. But the singing was helping."

It really wasn't, but I didn't need her to worry about that now. Because now we are on our way to the destination to get on an airship to head to Beacon Academy.

I barely got some good sleep last night and with the explosion that happened last night, I was going in and out of sleep, but at least the headaches were gone for the time being. It was when we left the hotel and began to walk in Vale and saw a shop window destroyed, was when the headaches came back.

We heard that robbers came last night and were trying to steal Dust, but someone was able to stop them. I am so grateful that I did my shopping yesterday.

"You think that explosion from yesterday was from here?"

"Maybe, honestly I just went to sleep once I made it to my room. But I did hear it. So whoever saved the shop, really did something good." As we continued to walk, we soon saw more people our age, heading in the same direction.

"At least we are heading the right way."

"Yep, it is so exciting. We are now about to experience a Huntsmen academy in person, no more visiting or staying for a few nights. This right here is real. All of our training has paid off."

"I get what you mean. For so long we trained, and now it's time. "

"Think of all the people we will meet."

"I feel like you will meet more here. Have you met me? I'm me!"

"It's a new place Seth, and nobody knows you, I'm sure you will... Just try not to curse so much, okay?"

"Pfft... Alright, I'll see what I can do." Honestly, if they don't like me for cursing so much, they are really going to wonder how Pyrrha and I got to be friends.

As we made it to our location, Pyrrha was soon swarmed by people who heard of the news that she was in Vale. Her adoring fans began to overwhelm her and tried their best to get a picture with her or to get any attention from her.

I on the other hand watched from the sideline and debated if I should help. But seeing her beginning to move away and head straight to one of the airships, I just let her deal with her problem on her own. You know like a best friend would do.

"That poor girl... She really needs to learn when to say No." I shake my head and begin to head in the direction of another airship. Once inside I placed my luggage and bag with the others and decided to keep my weapon on me after they told me I could.

Entering the main deck I saw more students standing around talking among each other. Seeing some of them, I felt like a few of them were way older than others, could these also be first years? Moving to the far end of the Airship I took a seat away from the entrance and rested my head for a bit.

'Made it. Now all is left to wait for us to take off and soon we will head to Beacon.' I felt my scroll buzz and saw that I had received a text from Pyrrha.

'Where are you?'

'On the other airship. Good luck with your fans and I will see you soon.'

Sending the text I close my eyes for a bit.

'Stay calm Seth, no reason to worry, things will get way better.'

...

It would be a pretty dick move if a song start to play right about now.

...

'Well, at least something went well this time.'

"Excuse me."

I open my eyes and turn to the voice. In front of me was a girl with long black hair, amber eyes, and a bow on top of her head.

Ack!

I put a hand on my head and begin to rub it. Trying to ignore what I just pictured.

"Sorry, you were saying?"

"I said excuse me. I wish to pass through." I see her point down toward my legs and I see them stretch as far as I can take them.

"Oh, Sorry my bad." I sit back normally and let her pass by. As she passed by she gave a nod towards me and sat down a few seats away from me. Then takes out a book and begins to read it.

'She looks like someone I've seen-... Shit fucking headaches, keep it together Seth, and don't lose your shit already.'

"I swear the nerve of those people to make me put my luggage away with the rest. They have better not misplace my bags or else!" A new voice was heard and everyone turned to the person entering the airship.

A new girl with white hair and blue eyes soon enters the deck of the airship stomping her way toward the front of it while pulling out her scroll.

...

I turn my head away from her while placing a hand on my head. "Note to self, Avoid her at all cost."

"That would be wise, especially for someone like her." I turned to the voice and saw it was from the girl reading.

"Yeah? Why is that?"

She turns away from her book and looks at me in surprise. "You don't know who she is?" I shake my head no. "That's Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, how do you not know who she is?"

"Oh, from the SDC right? Yeah, I know about them, but I had never seen them before. Must be because I get my dust from other places. I mean have you seen their prices, no thank you." Also thanks to Pietro, I get mail from him with the dust I need.

"They are also the same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable partners."

...

"Sooo, they are bad people?"

"They make conditions for their Faunus workers a death sentence."

I turn to face the girl in the corner. "Dicks."

"But that's mostly her father who does those practices. I don't know too much about her."

"But you seem to know a bunch about her family."

She shrugs and looks back at her book. "I've done my research."

This girl might be a bigger mystery if I ever saw one. But still... That name.

I looked back in the direction of the angry girl who was furiously typing on her scroll. It can't be... Can it, I mean that name can't be that common. Right?

"Come on slowpoke! We are going to be late!" A new voice was heard and In came running inside a girl with Orange hair, speeding onto the deck. Following her was a boy with black hair with a pink streak on the left side of his hair. "We are already here, there is no need to keep running." He said to the girl.

...

This could get annoying fast, and thanks to these headaches. I feel like my life is going to go on a long ride.

Present time!

It took nearly two hours for everyone to arrive. I guess that could be my fault for being here really early. But man, this day was already a pain.

For one, the number of people on board had tripled in size, that it was getting pretty crowded in here. That didn't help me because people were getting really close to me. Two, these damn headaches were becoming a problem for me, it was like a sharp pain coursing through my head each time I looked around. And Three, this guy with blonde hair was making me feel sick! Hearing him wanting to throw up was not helping me with my own problems.

Sigh... 'Think of a song Seth, think of a song.'

There was also another thing about this flight that could be a problem for me.

I looked across from me and saw the blonde girl from yesterday.

She came in at the last minute before the flight began to take off. Better late than ever. However, she didn't come alone.

Behind her was a small girl who had a red hood over her head trying her best to hide from everyone's stares. The blonde began to walk toward the middle of the airship while the small girl just followed her.

Lucky for me the place was so crowded that I don't even think she noticed me yet. Well, at least that's good for now. Rather not get involved with her just yet. I have a feeling she could be bad news, and seeing how yesterday she got into trouble at the club... Well, let's just say I'm gonna try my best to avoid that.

Turning my head I kept on looking around and soon heard a loud voice. "The robbery was led by the nefarious criminal. Roman Torchwick, who continues to evade authorities. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please contact the Vale Police Department." I saw the picture of a man with orange hair, green eyes, and wearing a white suit jacket. The man looked beaten up by the picture they were showing. But looking at him now, he looked like a joke.

Damn, these headaches.

I turn away from the screen and try to relax myself some more. But then another voice was heard and everyone around me started to pay attention to this voice.

"Hello and Welcome to Beacon." I ignored looking and just paid attention to what the person was saying. "My name is Glynda Goodwitch. You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy."

I mean I had to fight someone for it but sure, let's go with that.

"Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace and as future huntsman and huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world." I turned to see the person but only saw a glimpse of them. I saw blonde hair and a purple skirt.

Soon a bunch of people began to walk toward the window to get a better view outside. Me turning my head I also saw the view. Not going to lie, it did look nice. To think these next four years, this will be my home. I wonder what new experiences I will face here and who will I meet.

"UGH!" I heard and turning my head, I saw the blonde guy running past me holding his hand over his mouth and running to the other side of the ship.

'Oh, boy he's gonna blow!' I turn away from him trying to ignore what he does next.

But I also heard someone yell out. "Oh, Yang gross you got puke on your shoes!"

"Gross, Gross, Gross, Gross, Gross!" "Ew! Get away from me!"

...

Sigh... It's just four years Seth. You got this.

It didn't take long for the Airship to land, and once it did. I saw the blonde guy running past everyone just to get out.

I heard some people laugh at him and soon began to leave as well. I waited for everyone to get out first, I didn't want to be surrounded by waves of people around me. Also seeing the blonde girl, who I now know her as Yang, began to exit with the small girl whose hair color I saw as black with red tips.

I felt minor pain but it wasn't as bad as before.

I began to get up from my seat and place my weapon on my back, then I began to stretch my legs, happy to finally be able to move.

"Ah, finally after a two-hour wait. I get to stand up."

"You could have just moved when the airship was in the air." The girl with black hair said next to me as she also began to stand up.

"Yeah I could have, but these headaches of mine would have been a problem. Especially if I somehow pass out again."

"Drink tea, it can help with pains like that."

"I will, once I get the chance, Thank you uhh."

She looks at me with her amber eyes. "Blake."

I nod and say. "Well thank you, Blake. Name is Seth, Nice to meet you."

She simply nods and begins to walk away. With nothing else I just begin to leave as well.

'Blake... Nice name, and seeing her wearing mostly black, I will at least remember it well.'

As We exited the Airship I saw parts of the blonde guy who was inside a trash can. His legs were sticking out and was squirming around trying to get out of it.

"I'll just leave him be."

I was beginning to walk away but I heard him yell out. "Can someone please help me? I'm stuck." He said with a defeated voice.

...

'Damn it, Mom, raising me to be a nice person to people.'

Looking forward I see Blake beginning to walk away, trying not to get involved in this. Smart move.

Turning back I walk to the guy in the trashcan.

"Alright hold still." I grab him by his armor and push him forward trying to unstick him from him and the trash. With a little bit of force, I was able to remove him and see him stand up.

"Whew, you saved me. Thanks! I don't know what happened but I felt like someone pushed me in while I was... You know what never mind."

I just stared at the guy in front of me and began to see this guy running at someone with a sword about to crash with the other person, then I saw him, blocking an attack from an Ursa.

Who is this guy and why did I just picture him doing those things just now? Ow! Fuck these headaches!

"Uh hey? Are you alright?"

"What? Oh um yeah I'm fine, sorry about that, just spaced out just now. What were you saying?"

"I said, thank you again and my name is Jaune Arc. Nice to meet you." I see him raise his hand for a handshake, but I just stare at it.

...

"You might want to get back in the airship and clean your hands dude. I can see a little bit of green."

He pulls back his hands and begins to back away. "Right well, give me one sec. okay!" He turns around and begins to run back.

Sigh... Remember what Mom said. These people are going to help you grow. Where's Pyrrha when you need a friend?

"Alright,. I'm back thank you for waiting!" I see Jaune walk out, relieved of all of the green in his hands. "So like I said before, I'm Jaune Arc nice to meet you."

I nod at him. "Seth Sapphire, Nice to meet you as well John."

"Um, its Jaune."

"That's what I said."

...

"We can work on that later. We should start leaving." I see him beginning to walk away.

'This guy is going to be fun to toy with.' I smile a bit, and as I begin to walk towards Beacon.

Looking at the place from here. I can tell this place is going to be a Beacon of pain for me. (title drop)

...

I need to stop doing that as well.

"Hey Seth, so uhh, Why did you help me back there? Don't get me wrong, I feel like I could have easily done it sooner but I really do appreciate it."

I feel like you would have stayed there for the rest of the day if no one helped you out.

"Well, I was debating if I should, but hearing you cry out for help. I just decided to lend a hand. But I'm sure you would have figured it out, John."

"Hehe, Yeah and I keep telling you, The name is Jaune Arc, short, sweet, rolls off the tongue, ladies love it."

...

The amount of confidence this guy had for saying that right now was unheard of. Especially if they later find out what happened back there.

"Dude, never tell me that again."

"Ugh, right sorry. Um, so where are you from?"

Oh, thank you! A normal question. "Well, I'm from Argus, but I was born in Mantle. You?"

For some reason, I saw his face turn when I mentioned Argus. "Oh, well that's nice... I'm from-"

BOOM!

The sound was a good distance away, we saw a giant smoke cloud begin to rise to the sky.

"Gods damn it, Mom!"

"What?"

"Oh, Sorry force of habit. Let's just say I was so used to things blowing up in school that I just got accustomed to it. Anyway, we should probably check it out." I begin to walk in the direction of the explosion.

"Ugh, shouldn't we like avoid it?" Jaune question.

"In some cases, yes. But seeing an explosion happen in school and on the first day is something worth checking out."

"Oh great." Jaune whine behind me.

Okay, this guy is really weird. I mean I get it if you want to be cautious about things but dude. You are a huntsman in training now.

Well anyway, I'm sure it's nothing too bad. It could be that someone dropped their bag that made it explode, or someone testing their weapon out. Either way, let's just hope no one got seriously hurt.

As we approached the blast zone we saw the people responsible for the explosion. The girl in white, Weiss. The girl in black, Blake, and the girl in red, unknown.

Weiss looks at the two and begins to walk away angrily from the two toward Beacon. Blake begins to walk in the opposite direction heading somewhere else, who knows where. And the girl in Red just falls to the ground looking at the sky in defeat.

"Well John this is your chance, go do your work."

"My what?"

"You know, 'Ladies love it.' Go for it." I said in his own voice. He looks at me confused by that.

Sigh... "Just go help her out."

He realized what I meant and began to go to the down girl. I saw him stick his hand out and tried to help her out. Then she takes his hand and gets back up from the ground. But I heard her say something that I found hilarious.

"Aren't you the guy that threw up on the ship?"

I was going to laugh at that, but once I saw the girl's face, I just stared at her.

'Those eyes... They're... Silver?'

ACK!

I grabbed my head and soon felt more pictures appear in my head. I see this girl killing a Nevermore, then I see her meeting Penny. More and more pictures appeared and now she was on top of a train, then I saw her fighting Bolin. But one picture that got my attention, was of her, on her knees crying and soon a flash of White covered my vision.

Making me fall forward, to the ground.

"Seth! Hey man are you alright?"

"Is he okay?"

"I don't know I just met the guy a few minutes ago."

"We should call someone for help."

"UGH! What happened?" I lift my head off the ground and see Jaune and the girl in red just looking at me with surprise in their faces.

"What?" I asked.

"Seth, your eyes?" Jaune asked me.

"What? What about it?"

"Your eyes there... White? Are you.." The girl in Red was going to continue but she just stopped.

I looked to my side and saw my Sunglasses away from me. 'Oh, I get it.' I reach for them and once in my hand I put them on and stand up. Once up I see both of them look at me and I point to each one starting with Jaune.

"Blonde hair, Blue eyes, White armor, and blue jean pants." As I finish he looks at me confused, but I just point at the girl next. "Black hair with red tips, black dress with a red cape, and... Silver eyes." I said the last part with not the best confidence. But she also looks at me with a surprise expression.

...

"You can See?!" They both said at once.

'Son of a!'

I smile at them. "Always have been but thank you for noticing."

People always jump to conclusions.

After the whole ordeal with me, we soon all started to walk together, sadly I noticed that we were walking in the opposite direction of where we needed to go. But I got the feeling that these two would soon figure it out.

"So, uh. Nice to meet you, I'm Ruby. Ruby Rose." She extends her hand and I take it.

"Nice to meet you Ruby, I'm Seth. Seth Sapphire." I shake her hand.

We both continued to shake hands, but soon it started to become a little awkward because now she was doing most of the handshaking.

"Umm. Mind letting go, Ruby?"

"Oh sorry, It just. Your name, It kind of rhymes."

Did it? Huh never would have guessed that.

"Huh, well I think your name rhymes better than mine."

"R&R. S&S" We heard Jaune say and we both looked at him.

"What?"

"Your initials. Also, the fact that Ruby wears Red, while Seth wears Blue, also your eyes, Seth has white eyes and Ruby has silver. A few parallels but those are some that I notice."

Ruby and I both just looked at each other and back at Jaune. "Whatever you say, vomit boy." Ruby snickers at that.

"Hey! All I'm saying is that motion sickness is a much more common problem that people let on."

"Look I'm sorry but Vomit boy was the first thing that came to mind."

"She has a point dude, You really did make an impression on everyone on the airship."

We see Jaune think but then he retorts "Oh yeah, what if I called you Craterface." He said pointing at Ruby and then at me "And you Faceplant."

"HEY!/ OI!" We both said.

"That explosion was an accident." Ruby defended herself.

"Headaches are a major problem for many people." I said to Jaune.

"Well, the name's Jaune Arc."

'Oh boy, here we go again.' I roll my eyes and turn my head seeing more people heading in the opposite direction from us. Honestly, I should really tell them now before we arrive late.

I turn back to them, only to See Ruby pull out one giant Scythe.

'How does she carry that thing around? This girl might be really strong for someone her size.'

"It's also a customizable high-impact sniper rifle. Meet Crescent Rose." Ruby informed us.

"What?" Jaune question.

"It's also a gun."

"What type of Dust do you use?"

"Oh, I use Fire, Electric, Gravity, and some Ice Dust ammunition."

"Nice." I nod at that.

"That's cool."

"So what do you two have?"

I nod at Jaune to go first and soon he pulls out a sword.

"I got this sword."

"Ohhh."

"And I got this shield too."

Offense and defense. A good way to protect yourself in combat. I nod at this.

"So what do they do?" Ruby asked with excitement in her voice.

However, Jaune loses grip of his shield and begins to fumble it around trying to catch it before it falls to the ground. I just look at him intensely.

...

'I'm sure it was nothing. I hope.'

"The shield gets smaller, so when I get tired of carrying it I can just put it away."

"But wouldn't it weigh the same?"

"And why not put it on your back?"

"It does weigh the same. And it hurts my back if I leave it there for so long."

"Huh. What about you Seth?" Ruby turns to me waiting in anticipation.

Guess it's my turn. I reach on my back and pull out My weapon.

"Mine is an assault shotgun that can carry ten shots. It also works as a scabbard for my sword."

"Where's the sword?" Ruby asked.

I press the button under the pistol grip and a handle comes out of the stock of the shotgun. "I can press this button under my pistol grip, and a grip comes out, making me split them apart." I split them apart holding Saltatio(sword) in my right hand and Favillae (shotgun) in my left hand. "Guys meet Saltatio Favillae."

...

"Salty Flavor?" I heard Ruby say.

"Salt Village?" Now Jaune said.

...

Sigh... I knew something like this would happen, I just never knew when. "For a simpler name, call it Dancing Spark." I tell them as I put them back together and place it on my back.

"Why that name?" Jaune question.

"It's a song. That I really like."

"I never heard of that song before."

"Yeah, I don't blame you for that."

"Sorry Seth, It's just I'm kind of a dork when it comes to weapons. I guess I did go a little overboard in designing it."

"No, I get you. Took me a long time for me to actually build this thing. Many, many failed attempts."

"Wait? You two made your weapons?"

"Yeah, Sanctum allows us to make them." I said.

"Of course, all students at Signal forged their own weapons. Didn't you make yours?"

"It's a hand-me-down. My great-great-grandfather used it to fight in the war."

"Well, you can't go wrong with the classic swords John. They are special."

"Seth is right, Not many people have an appreciation for the classics these days."

"Right, the classics." Jaune just looked down at his sword as he began putting it away.

...

No one talked after that, I was about to say we should head back but then Ruby started. "So why'd you help me out back there?" I guess she was talking to Jaune because I did no such thing.

"Why not, my mom always said, strangers are just friends you haven't met yet."

That sounds like a good way to get yourself involved with some shady business people.

"Hmm. Hey, where are we going?"

"I don't know I was just following you two."

"We were all going the wrong way, I just let it happen."

I see them both look at me with upset eyes. "But I know where to go guys, just follow me." I said leading them back the way we came. But I did hear Jaune make remarks.

"You think they will have a food court here, Or any recognizable landmarks." Ruby chuckled at that.

"I mean they have trees and that big statue we saw at the entrance so that's something."

I just heard them whine some more.

Sigh... These two.

After a short walk back to the main entrance of the building we soon saw more people, meaning we were heading in the right direction.

"See what I told you guys. I know the way."

"We were following everyone else, once we made it back to the main road."

"Meh, Same thing."

Approaching the school I soon started to feel my head hurt a bit but it wasn't something big like last time.

"You alright?"

I turned and saw Ruby ask me. "Yeah, just headaches."

Entering the school now we see a wave of people all around. Crowds and Crowds of people around.

"You think these are all first years?"

"Maybe, but seeing some people who look way older than us. Could be upperclassmates." I notice a guy with green armor standing next to a girl with a purse who also had sunglasses on. Standing far away from the crowd of people.

"Ruby! Over Here! I've saved you a... YOU!" I turned my head and saw her.

"Oh no." I see the blonde girl from yesterday looking at us and beginning to push her way toward us. Soon I began to back away from the other two. Blending in with the crowd of new students.

"Uhh, She looks upset." Jaune said out loud.

"Oh well, that's my sister. You know the ones, shoes you threw up on."

"Oh..."

"Hey! Don't walk away from me!"

"Who is she talking to?"

"Don't know? Seth do you... Where is Seth?" Ruby turned but Seth was already gone.

Back with Seth, he was right now blending in with the crowd so no one could tell that he was hiding from someone.

'Perfect my tactical retreat worked like a charm, thanks to these people. Man to think many of them have black hair that I was able to blend right in. Now all I have to do is avoid her and-' I feel someone place a hand over my mouth and begin to pull me back.

"AHHHH!" I scream but with my mouth covered, no one heard it well.

Turning my head to see who the person was, I was met with green eyes.

"Hello again." Pyrrha said while pulling me back away from the crowd of people. Soon she lets go of me and I turn to face her.

"Hey, so did you really have to scare me like that?"

She looks away from me, "I saw that you were avoiding someone, so I decided to help out."

"By covering my mouth and giving me a heart attack?" I narrow my eyes at her.

"It was a joke."

"Yeah I know, but right now we need to avoid her, cause she looks really upset."

"Umm, Seth."

"Like for real she looks really pist off for some reason. Honestly what the f-"

"Seth!"

"Yeah?"

I see her point right behind me.

...

Sigh... "She is standing right behind me... Isn't she?"

"Yep!" I heard her voice behind me and felt an arm around my neck, making me lower down to her level. "Good to see you too bud! How are things?" I feel her grip around my neck tightens a bit.

I look at Pyrrha who was sheepishly smiling at me. "You have betrayed my trust for the last time."

She giggles at that. "Don't be like that, we met just a few minutes ago. She was just waiting to find you as well."

"Yes sir, I wanted to meet the people who decided to get involved in my little night out, but after you guys disappeared yesterday. I was really upset. Lucky for me I was able to spot the only girl with red hair here." As she said 'upset' I felt another tug around my neck.

"I'm sure you also left once you heard sirens as well, huh? Also yeah, she really is the easiest person to spot."

"Yep! Still, you two did ditch me yesterday."

"Yang! You ditch me not so long ago." I could hear Ruby talk behind us and soon felt Yang's grip loosen up a little. With this chance, I was able to release myself and get away from her.

Now standing next to Pyrrha I give her an angry look at her. She only smiles back at me and says. "That's for leaving me back there with the others."

"Just say 'no' next time and it will work." I tell her and turn to the two new people.

"You left me and I exploded." Ruby said.

"Yikes, meltdown already?"

"No I literally exploded a hole in front of the school and there was some fire and I think some ice?"

"Are you being sarcastic?" Yang said with her own sarcastic voice.

By the sound of it, Ruby must have gotten herself in a dust explosion. So that was that big explosion at the beginning. Ha craterface.

Wait who is that behind her?

"Then she yelled at me and then I sneezed and then I exploded and then she yelled again and I felt really really bad and I just wanted her to stop yelling at me"

"You!" The girl in white said scaring Ruby and making her jump in Yang's arms.

"Oh God, it's happening again!"

"Your lucky we weren't blown off the side of the cliff."

"Oh my god, you really exploded."

Seeing them banter like this, really made me appreciate the friends I have.

"So Seth what exactly happen?" Pyrrha asked me.

"Well from what I saw, The girl in red, Ruby got into an explosion with Dust involved, and the girl in white, I heard her name was Weiss was standing next to her when it all happened. After explaining what I saw earlier I turn to see the girl Weiss giving Ruby a pamphlet and explaining the code of dust or something. But I could tell Ruby was having a hard time following.

"You think we should get involved?" Pyrrha told me.

"Last time we did that, we got involved in a fight. So if you want to do the honors this time, go right ahead. But don't worry I got your back." I show my hand allowing Pyrrha to go right ahead.

She rolled her eyes, then began to walk forward and I followed her. As we got close we heard Weiss say out loud "Yeah and we can paint our nails and try on clothes and talk about cute boys like tall, blonde, and scraggly over there." As she finished she pointed a the person behind her, who was Jaune, and that got his attention.

"Wow really?" Ruby said with excitement.

Weiss just narrows her eyes, "No."

I lean into Pyrrha. "Good luck." But I received an elbow to my chest.

OOF!

As she was about to step in we heard a microphone turn on and made us all turn to the stage.

"I'll keep this brief." I turned to see a man with white hair a green suit and a cane. Next to him was a woman with blonde hair. But right now I felt pain coursing through my head that this time it was unbearable.

I put my hand on my head and close my eyes. Soon I saw pictures of this man over a forest watching, then I saw him sitting down and around him where a group of people. As more flashes came I saw him sitting down and in front of him was Pyrrha. Then I see him surrounded by green light charging towards something. The last picture was a weird one because it didn't show the man.

It showed a woman with pale skin, white hair, and red eyes. Looking towards me.

Opening my eyes I noticed that my breathing was heavy and quick. Looking around I saw the people around me whispering among themselves. I then realized that someone was holding onto my shoulder. Looking towards it I see Pyrrha's hand almost like she was keeping me from falling down again but looking at her face I could tell she was worried.

"Headaches?"

"Yeah... Really bad ones."

"Seth, are you okay?" Now I heard Ruby ask next to me.

I don't look at her but tell her. "I'm fine, they are just headaches."

I look in front of me and see the man end his speach and the woman explains to us that we will be staying at a ballroom for the night.

I rub my head some more and turn to face Pyrrha again. "Thanks Pyrrha, you're the best."

"No Problem. But these are now becoming a serious issue Seth, we need to see if someone can help you."

"I heard tea was the best medicine."

"Then hopefully they will have some in the cafeteria. Let's go and see-"

"Pyrrha Nikos, it is a pleasure to make an acquaintance." We both turned and saw the girl in White standing right in front of us.

"Oh, nice to meet you as well."

"My name is Weiss Schnee, heir to the Schnee Dust Company. It is a wonderful surprise to be able to meet you. I was not expecting you to be attending Beacon as well."

I whisper to Pyrrha, "Man can this girl talk."

"Seth. Be nice." She whispers back.

"Excuse me?! And who might you be?" I look at her and see her eyes narrow. Now if I was going to make a nice first impression on someone I needed to be nice. However, seeing her already looking upset for some reason, I just needed to say my name and stay quiet.

"Seth Sapphire. Nice to meet you."

I saw her eyes widen and soon began to walk toward us. Well mostly me."You! So you did follow Pyrrha to this school! Are you really that desperate to fight her?"

I turn to Pyrrha and tell her. "I'm going to curse her out."

"Please don't."

Sigh..."Fine, I got enough problems right now, I'll see you later. I'm going to go find some tea." With that, I begin to leave and turn to see Pyrrha standing there with Weiss as she continues to talk to her.

'She really needs to know when to tell people to fuck off.'

I exit the building and see Ruby and Yang outside the entrance.

"Hey Seth, how are you feeling?"

"Head hurts, need tea to make it feel better. Thank you for asking, Ruby."

"Yikes, how much did you drink last night?"

"I don't drink and we were passing by when we heard the commotion you were doing. Anyway, I'll see you two later."

"Later." " Hope you get better." I heard them say to me and I just waved my hand goodbye toward them.

POV: Ruby

As we both see Seth leave I hear Yang tell me. "What do you think is up with him?"

"Seth said, he's been having headaches since yesterday, And right after I met him, he just fell down. Hope he's alright."

"Aw, my baby sister is making friends." I get grabbed by Yang as she smutters me with a hug. "So, Seth is his name. Well at least now, I know both of their names."

"How do you know him?"

"Well... Remember yesterday when you were passing by and you saw me exit that club."

"Yeah?"

"Well, he and Pyrrha the girl with red hair, came by and watch me kick butt, but then they decided to help out. I was going to talk to them after but they just up and ran off before I knew it. But I got the feeling they would be here, seeing as they were putting up a good fight with the twins. Also, I like the song that he was playing yesterday." She finally lets go of me and I begin to breathe normally.

"Song? Wait no, you really need to stop doing that Yang, Dad would not be proude of your actions yesterday."

"Well, I'm glad you didn't tell him. But enough about that let's go explore the school and see where we will be staying. Come on!" I get grabbed by Yang and she begins to pull me toward the school.

'Well, at least I was able to meet new people. Maybe this won't be too bad.'

"Yang! Wait stop pulling."

Later that night (Ruby's POV)

'I take everything I said earlier back, this was the worst.' I was writing a letter to my friends back at Signal, but I couldn't explain in words the things I was experiencing here without sounding like a jerk to them.

Sigh... Why is writing hard?

"It's like a big slumber party" I feel Yang land next to me, expressing what she was feeling right now.

"I don't think Dad would approve of all the boys though."

"I know I do." She purrs but soon I hear her give an 'ew' noise. Whatever she saw she was not happy with.

"What's that?"

"A letter to the gang back at Signal."

"Aw, that's so cute."

I throw my pillow at her annoyed at her response. "Shut up. I didn't get to take my friends with me to school, it's weird not knowing anyone here." I said to her frustrated.

"What about Jaune? he's nice and you also got Seth? He's also nice. Boom plus two friends and Since I got to meet Pyrrha and Seth, soon you will have three friends." Yang tried to assure me but I still had to other person I was trying to be friendly to.

"I'm pretty sure Weiss counts as a negative friend."

"There is no such thing as negative friends, you just made friends and enemies. But you are still two for one. So that's a good thing!" I throw my pillow again at her and lie back down in my sleeping bag. "Look it's only been one day trust me you've got friends all around you, you just haven't met them yet."

"She has a point Ruby, Give it time." I looked at where the voice was coming from and saw that it was Seth. He was wearing shorts and a blue hoodie while wearing his sunglasses.

"Hey, Seth. How are you feeling?" "Hey shades, how's your head?"

He takes a deep breath and exhales. "I'm doing alright now. Tea didn't work too well. But I'm feeling a little bit better now. Also, my head is alright, thanks for asking."

"So why do you have your sunglasses on?" Yang asked and Seth just looked at me. "You didn't tell her?"

I shake my head. "It's not my business, So I didn't want to tell." He smiles at me "Thank you."

"Oh, a secret between you two this I have to know. So spill." Yang looks at Seth waiting for an answer. Seth simply lowered his sunglasses and the look on Yang's face, was priceless, to say the least.

"Before you say anything. I can see well, this is just how I was born." Seth informs Yang.

"Okay, now I'm shocked, to say the least."

"I get that a lot when people find out. Anyway, goodnight you two. I'm gonna get some rest, tomorrow is a big day for us." With that Seth leaves and walks to a corner of the room getting ready to sleep.

I was about to turn back and lay back down until I saw another familiar face.

"That girl." I said to myself as I looked at the girl with the bow on her head.

POV Seth

It's official, today was one of the worst days in my life and it's all thanks to these headaches. I was able to explore the school for a good while, getting a good feel of the place and once I made it to the cafeteria. I was able to get tea. Yay!

Sadly the tea didn't do shit for me and so I was just left there drinking tea. All by myself.

Ah the memories.

Still, I was still picturing what I saw earlier. That woman in white, just her eyes alone was beginning to haunt me.

I just shake my head and begin to forget about it. I lay back down and pulled the blanket over me. Soon I remove my sunglasses and put them to the side close to my pillow. Then I close my eyes and begin to fall asleep.

...

"Hey, Seth?" I heard Jaune's voice and opened my eyes, only to see him holding his sleeping bag and wearing some bunny pajamas.

Sigh... I am too tired for this.

"Just keep your distance, okay?" I close my eyes again.

"Thanks, man."

"..."

Finally peace and quiet.

...

"Oh, not you again!" Two very loud voices were heard.

...

I'm going to start blasting metal music, just for everyone to be quiet. I roll to my side and let sleep take me.

Tomorrow is a big day.
