Hello everyone and welcome to my story, Kirby and Star: Charring Amulet, this story has been on my mind for years. However, I never had the time to write it due to life. I hope you enjoy it! Before that, let me tell you a few things, so you will not be confused.
Timeline Placement: This story takes place after Kirby and the Rainbow Curse on Kirby's part and after Season 2, Episode 1: My New Wand! /Ludo in the Wild for Star's part. Kirby and Star: Charring Amulet will go in a different direction from the canons of both series.
Warning: There will be a lot of OCs within this story, hopefully, you guys will enjoy them. I know some people do not like OCs, so I wanted to make that clear. Also, the SVTFOE humanoid characters have 5 fingers, instead of 4, unless stated otherwise.

Chapter 1: Into the Cosmos of Adventures, Star and Marco!
Star Butterfly, Marco Diaz, and their classmates were sitting in Miss Skullnick's class at Echo Creek Academy. It was the last class of the day and the last day before Spring Break. The students were paying attention or at least trying to.
Star Butterfly is a blonde-haired, fair skinned teenage girl with blue eyes and pink hearts on her cheeks. She wore a sea green short-sleeved dress with a pink octopus on it with a white collar, white lace on the skirt and sleeves and a little star-shaped yellow bag with a face on it. Finally, she wore a red headband that had devil horns, orange and pink stockings and dark magenta boots styled after rhinos.
Marco Diaz is a dark brown-haired Latino-American teenager with tan skin with a mole on his right cheek. He wore a red hoodie, a light gray shirt, dark gray skinny jeans and white and olive shoes.
Mewni's future Queen heard all the commotions from Jackie Lynn Thomas, before she left a couple days beforehand, and several of her classmates. Star saw Marco taking down notes and decided to ask him a question.
"Psst, Marco, what is Spring Break? How does one break the spring?" whispered Star.
Marco looked at Star. His brown eyes looked sorrowful, but the princess decided to ignore it. He whispered back, "I surprised you guys do not have those on Mewni, but then again, you did say that Mewmans don't take tests. Well basically…"
"Marco Diaz!" snapped Miss Skullnick, "What is so important that you have to talk to Miss Butterfly about?!"
"Uh, you see, Star doesn't know what Spring Break is…" sighed Marco.
"Yeah, Skullzy, teach me how to break the Spring!" Star grinned from ear to ear and punched the air with her two fists.
"Listen, princess, that's not important besides-"
Suddenly, the bell rang, causing the students to cheer. Star looked around to see why her friends were celebrating.
"Alright, Star stopped the lecture, Star Butterfly rules!" yelled Justin Armberg, the current quarterback of the school's football team, The Awesome Opossums.
"Wait, what's going on?" asked the Magical Princess, "Marco, why are we cheering?"
She didn't get an answer as the troll teacher cleared her throat, "Alright, class, listen up!"
Everyone stopped cheering and looked at the former human, now troll. "Remember to enjoy yourselves and be safe, also don't forget about the assignment about how to be a productive citizen to society, class dismissed!"
Everyone cheered again and began to leave their seats, Star and Marco followed suit and were walking home from school.
"I don't get it, no one told me what Spring Break is…" groaned Star.
Marco sighed, "Look Star, Spring Break is a week-long vacation from school to give the students and the teachers some rest as the name imply it's during the season of spring."
"Woah, that's so cool!" "Wait, so no breaking the season's spine?"
"No breaking the season's spine."
"Oh! I got you, Diaz."
Star and Marco after saying goodbye to their classmates (or friends in Star's case) as they walked all the way to the Diaz Household.
"So, Marco, do you have any plans?" asked the Intergalactic Princess.
Marco scratched the back on his head as he opened the front door of his house, then let Star go in front of him. His eyes looked sorrowful again, but the princess paid no attention.
"I was thinking that we travelled to other dimensions like we always do…" answered the brown eyed boy.
"Kicking some monster butt, sounds like my type of adventure!" smiled Star.
"Hey Mom, hey Dad, Star and I are home from school!" shouted Marco.
Mr. and Mrs. Diaz went down the stairs to greet the teens, the Latino American couple were carrying suitcases in their hands with the Laser Puppies following behind.
"Welcome back, Marco and Star!" said Rafael Diaz, Marco's father. The puppies tackled Star in joy, excited to meet their creator/owner.
"Bark, bark!" barked the Laser Puppies.
"Hi, I almost forgot to tell you that your father and I were going on a trip," declared Angie Diaz, Marco's mother. "We will be back before Spring Break ends."
"Wait, you guys are leaving us?" asked Star as she stood up.
"It's just a business trip about my paintings," assured Mr. Diaz, "Don't worry about it."
"Super serious," whispered Mrs. Diaz, then she went to her normal voice, "Also, I hope you don't mind that we are taking the Laser Puppies with us!"
Star and Marco looked at each other, then to the adults and nodded.
"Just take care of them," smiled Marco.
"Will you guys be on your best behavior?! Yes, you will," cooed Star as she spoke to the Laser Puppies and kneeling to their eye level, "Yes, you will."
Mr. Diaz laughed, then said, "You guys do the same, okay? No funny business!"
Mrs. Diaz smiled, "Fear not, for they are in our capable hands. Alright, goodbye!" Then the married couple left the living room with the Laser Puppies, Star and Marco followed in pursuit.
"Bye, Mister and Missus Diaz/Mom and Dad," shouted Star and Marco.
The two adults and the Laser Puppies got into the Diaz family's minivan and drove off, while waving at their son and the Foreign Exchange Student. As the minivan was going to Mexico for the business trip, Mrs. Diaz looked at her husband, "Are you sure Marco and Star will be okay without us?"
"Of course, Marco and Star have traveled to different dimensions without us, I'm sure they will be okay," replied Mr. Diaz.
Mrs. Diaz smiled, hopefully her partner was correct, and the teens will make the best decisions for themselves and others.
So, the two teenagers were alone and in Star's bedroom. Silence painted the air as the Laser Puppies were gone and Star's spells were upstairs. Causing Star to ask Marco a question, "So Marco, what dimension do you want to travel too today?"
"Well, I'm not completely sure, Star," Diaz had that sorrowful look in his eyes again, causing the princess to finally speak about it.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
"W-what, nothing, everything is fine, Star."
"I don't know, you've been having that look on your face most of today, all I'm trying to do is cheer you up."
Marco sighed, Star only wanted what was best for him, "It's just, um, I feel like when we usually go to different dimensions or when magic is involved, I become useless." He began to hold his right arm, "The Lizard Lawyer, St. Olga, even the Monster Arm, I've been a thorn in your side."
"Oh, Marco…" "You're not useless, if anything I think you're the opposite."
"But I am! I'm just the stupid safe kid that everyone laughs at or forgets about…"
Star looked away, and then at Marco, "Ferguson and Alfonzo thinks you're pretty cool! And hey, you even begin talking to Jackie after all this time, so that's something."
Marco sighed, "I guess you're right, Star." Diaz smiled, "I'm sorry, I should probably give myself more credit sometimes, thank you."
"Anytime, Diaz, anytime," stated Star, "Oh, I know the perfect place we can go to make you forget about your problem. It's a planet called Megastar!"
"Megastar?" asked Marco raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, my parents took me there when I was younger, there's even a year-long amusement park called Hall of the Stars at the center of the planet So, come on, let's go to Fun town!"
Star took out Ponyhead's former dimensional scissors from her pocket and cut open a dimensional rift. Marco laughed then said, "That never gets old, after you, Miss Butterfly," as he makes a hand gestured.
"Oh, stop it Marco," giggled Star as she jumped into the dimensional rift and Marco followed her.
Star and Marco arrived on Megastar, one of the busiest planets in its solar system. The planet is at least five times bigger than Earth, and had similar skies and soil. There were many different people walking by in the biggest city on that planet, Shot Hot. Many of them looked similar to the two teenagers, but some had animal ears and features or ears that looked similar to elves. The buildings were very high-tech, very similar to the skyscrapers on Earth, and in the middle of it all was a huge castle with red colored roofs and white paint. The castle made the former spoken buildings look like the Empire State Building to Mount Everest in comparison.
"Wow, this place looks amazing!" exclaimed Marco, his eyes were glued to, well, everything about this new world. He took a breath of fresh air, "And the air is so clean!"
"I know, right?!" agreed Star as she grinned from ear to ear.
The citizens of this planet, known as Megastarians, moved passed Star and Marco. The duo decided to enter Hall of the Stars. It was the planet's pride and joy.
"Hey, let's get in line-oh excuse us," stated Star as she bumped into a snake person.
"It'sss alright," said the snake-like woman as she went along her way.
"I didn't realize how packed this place could be," Marco muttered, as he and Star moved from their initial spot to spot. Slightly, almost dancing in place.
"Of course," Star said, "People come far and wide to visit the Hall of the Stars, I'm surprise you've never heard of it." She brought out the Royal Magic Wand, "Now, come on! We've got a world to see, Bunny Rabbit-"
"Wait, Star! We're in a crowded area, people could get hurt!" explained Marco as he grabbed Star's arm.
"Hmm…good idea," agreed Star, "I guess we're doing this the normal way, walking!" Marco then let go of Star's arm.
The Heiress and the Safe Kid waited in line for a few minutes, despite there being a large line, it moved like clockwork.
"I've haven't been to an amusement park in so long, Star!" "Mostly because of motion sickness."
"Is that's why you nearly thrown up on Brittney's bus?"
"Yes, don't remind me…"
"Oh, sorry, sorry, sorry!"
"There is no reason to worry about that," said an unfamiliar voice, it was the person in front of Star. "I know people with motion sickness, but they have told me they have not felt a thing, but excitement on the rides!"
The person was a 17-year-old girl that had light blue hair in a ponytail and red eyes. She wore a navy-blue light jacket with an open collar and unzipped. She also had a shirt with a dark star in the middle of it. She had a belt that was slanted, black fingerless gloves, yoga pants, and dark blue boots.
"That's reassuring," sighed Marco, "Wait, who are you?"
"I'm Reiya Yajū, one of the defenders of the planet from kaiju creatures, I'm assume that the both of you are new here."
"We are!" smiled Star, "Hi, I'm Star Butterfly and this is my best friend on Earth, Marco Diaz!" "I hope we can all become best friends!" The two shook hands with Reiya, and she returned the favor and smiled. "Also, kaiju?"
"Basically, giant monsters," answered Reiya.
"Oh!" exclaimed Star.
"It's nice to meet you," said Marco, "We fight monsters ourselves from time to time."
"Really?" asked the blue haired girl, "Nothing says you're alive like beating the tar out of monsters if you ask me."
"I wholeheartedly agree!" beamed Star.
"Um…right…" creaked Marco, 'Just ignore it, Diaz,' he thought.
The trio started to move up in line rather quickly, and they were near the front of the Hall of the Stars' entrance. Then, an idea popped into Reiya's head.
"Hey, since you're both are new here, why don't I show you guys and maybe you can meet my friends later on!" Reiya said.
"Hopefully, it's organized, we don't want to waste any time," replied Marco.
"It will, it will, please enjoy yourself here," Reiya answered.
"It will be alright, Marco, don't worry your pretty little head," Star stated.
Marco smiled and said, "Well if you say so…"
Soon the trio went on many rides, for example, the Hyperman rollercoaster, Bumper cars rides like Bump and Go-Go, and haunted houses like Fear the Face. They were having a wonderful time, but then something happened, sirens went off, which caused everyone to stop what they were doing and listened to the speakers.
"Attention, all citizens, a threat has been discovered by the Megastar World Leaders, Threat's species name: Calajengs, Threat Level: Cosmic. Please move yourselves to a safe and secure location, thank you."
Soon the citizens began to panic and run amok, Star and Marco looked around to see the tranquility of Hall of the Stars erupted into pure chaos. "Wait, the Calajengs, who are they?" asked Marco.
Reiya gritted her teeth, "An interdimensional empire that conquered countless planets, worse than any kaiju recorded on this planet…" "Their plans are shrouded in mystery…"
Then, the skies were covered by cosmic titanium spaceships, and soldiers that looked similar to scorpions in armor dropped out of the ships. They had laser guns and began shooting everything. People ran from the sites, trying to hide, some died trying. Marching as they destroyed everything in sight.
"You guys said you fight monsters, right? Can you help me out?" asked Reiya as she reached into her pocket and pulled out her weapon: a yo-yo.
"Sure thing!" cheered Star, "Ooh, a little disc," as she looked at Reiya's weapon. "Come on Marco, we got a world to save!"
"Aw yeah, time to show these guys diplomacy!" yelled Marco.
Many miles away from the Halls of the Stars, in Shot Hot, the major city. A figure in a robe and hood halted an army with the back of their hand, and they stopped, "Find the Lambent Amulet, our scanners have located it on this planet. Succeed or die trying…"
The Calajengs saluted and scattered, the figure smirked, all was going according to plan.
Reiya led the change as Star and Marco followed her and fought some of the soldiers along the way. A group of soldiers dropped from a starship, causing the trio to get in their fighting poses.
The Calajengs tried to jump on top of Star, but she was too quick and shot out some pink lasers from her wand. Reiya blocked a sword from a soldier with her yo-yo, then started to counterattack with punches, kicks, and yo-yo strikes. Some of the scorpion-like creatures tackled Marco and pushed him back a few yards.
"Marco!" shouted Star, "Strawberry Annihilation!" The strawberry blasts landed on the soldiers and then the spell exploded, turning some Calajengs soldiers to nothing but dust. But some of the soldiers survived the explosion and began running towards Star. Before the princess could do anything, Reiya jumped in front of Star and shot out giant red laser beams from her eyes.
This finished the remaining pack of the soldiers, "You need to be careful, ordinary attacks do not work on the Calajengs," stated Reiya.
Star scoffed, "I wouldn't say my attacks are ordinary."
Reiya nodded, "Please check up on Marco, I'll handle the rest."
"Gotcha!" said the princess as she ran off to help one of her best friends.
"Do your worst, good-for-nothings, for I am the strongest of my kind!" taunted Reiya as she made a gesture with her hand to the army coming towards her.
Marco was trying his best, but these monsters were faster, stronger, and tougher than Ludo's. Every time he attacked, the soldiers did two more moves, "Hi-yah!" shouted Marco with a karate chop. But the Calajeng fighter barely moved from his spot. The Latino-American turned around threw a punch at the minion behind him, it made punching through a large stone seem easier. The Safe Kid felt something pop, probably one of his bones.
"Ouch! What are these guys made out of?!" groaned Marco as he held his hand. The soldier had enough and attacked the Brown-haired boy with punches and kicks. Causing the 14-year-old to lose his balance and collapse on the hot ground. Another soldier appeared with a sword to end this silly duel; all Marco could do was shut his eyes.
"Mega Narwhal Blast!" The attack washed away all the soldiers Marco was facing, they either died on impacted or drowned. "Get your hands off of my best friend, you creeps!" shouted the Queen-in-Training as she aimed her wand to see any other opponents.
"Thanks, Star, these guys are tough," said Marco.
"No problem, I'm just glad you are-" sighed Star.
Before the princess could finish her statement, the duo heard a loud explosion nearby and a blood-curling scream that pierced the sky.
"That might be Reiya, we gotta hurry!" panicked Marco.
Star nodded fiercely, grabbed onto Marco's arm, and yelled, "Bunny Rabbit Blast!" And the duo leaped to the area Reiya was at.
That scream was Reiya's.
Reiya was facing the hooded figure that gave the command to the Calajengs, as the army suddenly stopped their attacks to watch their leader, "I'll handle this one," boomed the hooded figure, "The rest of you help your brothers and sisters to find the Lambent Amulet!"
The blue-haired girl shot giant laser beams from her eyes, but the mysterious fighter was too quick. They zipped in front of Reiya, causing the teen to gasp in shock, and punched her in the stomach nine times. Causing Reiya to spit up some blood.
A pack of five leeches stuck onto the hooded fighter's robe and began to beep, it was Star's spell: Supersonic Leech Bomb! Reiya jumped back with all the strength in her body, to not get hit by the impact.
The explosion happened, separating Star, Marco, and Reiya. They got into their fighting positions once again.
"Who the heck are you?! And what do you want?!" shouted Reiya.
The figure wiped off the dust, as their robe and hood were destroyed. Revealing a spiky black-haired female humanoid like creature with blue streaks in her hair. She had sharp teeth, floating hands with black gloves, but attachable legs with pants. She wore a blue green jacket with a black shirt, a belt with a golden buckle, a strange watch-like device, and red rollerblades.
"My name is Jinshu, and I am one of the emperor's generals of the Calajeng Empire," smirked the girl, "I'm here to fulfill his desires to conquer the multiverse with an iron fist by collecting the Lambent Amulets!"
Reiya gasped, then got growled, "If you think you're going to get away with this, you're dumber than you look!"
"Hmph, there's nothing you can do about it, but accept it…" smiled Jinshu, "This is the end of the line, now die like the dogs you are!" She then disappeared from plain sight.
Then the general dropped-kicked Marco in the chest, slammed his head into the soil, and dragged him a few yards into the ground. Finally tossing him a few miles before anyone could say or do anything.
"AAUGHH!" screamed Marco.
The two girls gasped, and Reiya ran towards the general, while Star ran to Marco. Reiya began to breathe out large amounts of fire, but Jinshu casually flipped over it.
"Too Slow!" taunted the general, then she landed and sprang into Reiya's crest with a headbutt, causing the kaiju fighter to lose wind within her. "Oof!" growled Reiya.
"Marco?! Are you okay?!" asked Star, Marco coughed and was confusion as in what just happened as he lay on the ground. "She must have super speed," groaned Diaz, "And super strength, I guess, but I'll be fine…" "Please help Reiya, she's going to need it."
The intergalactic princess nodded and said, "Catch your breath, Marco, I'll do what I can…".
Jinshu zipped all over Reiya and dodged her punches, kicks, and yo-yo swings. Also, the general attacked her at different points of her body at the same time. Reiya then fell to the ground.
"This is one of the best fighters Megastar has to offer?" scoffed Jinshu, "I'm disappointed."
Reiya gritted her teeth, then smiled as she slowly got back up, "I'm just getting started!" The red-eyed girl jumped many meters into the air and flicked her yo-yo so fast; it appeared in different angles at once.
"Now, this is more like it," smirked Jinshu, "Give it your all!"
"Miniature Syrup Tsunami Shockwave!" yelled Star as she aimed at Jinshu's feet. Before the spiky-haired general could move out of the way, her left foot got zapped by Star's spell and she was stuck.
"Yo-Yo Slayer of Death!" shouted Reiya, as her attacks hit the speedy fighter multiple times, then sent Jinshu flying several miles from the Yo-Yo user's final attack into a pile of garbage. The last attack caused Jinshu to rub blood from her invisible nose as she landed and clenched her fists, "Damn brats, I'll show them!"
Jinshu then, got a transmission on her strange-like watch from one of her many minions. "My lady, we have received the Lambent Amulet, it is the right horn…"
"Nice going! The emperor will be pleased with you all!" beamed the general. "It's time to nip this fight in the bag!" Jinshu got up, wiped herself off, and zoomed to the location the teens were.
"We did it! Nice job, everyone," exclaimed Reiya as she high-fived Star, then ran with her to get Marco. "We should probably check if she was truly defeated…" "Are you good, Marco?"
The brown-haired teen got up and nodded, "Yeah, the ringing in my head seem to stop." Star turned her head, and her blue eyes widened, "LOOK OUT!" she screamed. As she tackled Marco to safety with a pink laser spell and Reiya jumped to the left side of the battlefield.
Jinshu has returned and barely zipped past the trio. A piece of Star's hair flew to the ground, and the spiky-haired warrior grabbed it.
"This planet will blow up in five minutes!" shouted the general, then she karate chopped the ground with all her strength. An earthquake began to erupt or a megastarquake, given the setting. "See you in the afterlife!"
Jinshu jumped into one of the large spaceships and flew away with her armies.
Star, Marco, and Reiya looked around in panic, "Star! Use your dimensional scissors to get us the heck out of here!" shouted Marco.
"Right, right!" followed Star as she pulled out her dimensional scissors, but the scissors accidentally, since Star was in a rush, touched the Royal Magic Wand, and it hasn't had the chance to completely cool down. It was all up to Star's mind, 'Somewhere lush and peaceful,' she thought and that translated into the dimensional portal opening up.
"Where are we going?!" asked Reiya as she grabbed Marco's right arm, the misunderstood bad boy follow suit as he grabbed Star's hand, "I don't know, hopeful somewhere safe!" shouted Star over the noise that calling it loud would be an understatement.
And with that, the trio left to an unknown dimension. Soon after, the planet Megastar was no more…
Kirby is the Hero of Dream Land. He is a pink puffball with large glossy eyes, and red feet.
He was taking a walk along a path in his home country, well, Dream Land and had plans to take a nap afterwards. It was a beautiful day, the clouds curled, and the sun shined on the surface. Even since the colors had returned to the planet Popstar from Dark Crafter, everything has been peaceful.
Kirby stopped in his path and saw a dimensional portal opened; he tilted his body to see what was going on. Out came three teenagers, Star, Marco and Reiya, who looked awfully familiar to Adeleine, one of Kirby's friends, but older and they barely had the strength to stand.
"Hiii!" beamed the pink hero with his left stub. The teens looked at Kirby with exhausted eyes, and then they all collapsed onto the ground and passed out. Kirby's eyes widened, he causally picked them up, over his head, and ran towards his house.
Meanwhile, on one of the Calajengs' spacecrafts, Jinshu took a seat in her room and pulled out the sample of Star's hair into her strange watch-like device, "Computer, locate the location of this creature and her friends, are they dead or alive?"
"This hair sample belongs to Star Butterfly; she and her allies are currently on the Planet Popstar in the Gamble Galaxy."
"Star…Butterfly…Popstar…Oh! The emperor will have to rise me up the ranks if I collect her and conquered this planet, computer, make correlations to planet Popstar!"
"Yes, of course…"
"Prepare yourself, Star Butterfly," cackled Jinshu, as the fleets of ships turned the opposite direction and were head to Planet Popstar, "You will reap what you sowed…".
About Star Butterfly.
Star is Mewni's future queen, and she strives to never have a boring day in her life. She is happy-go-lucky, friendly, and energetic. She has magic spells from her wand to back her up in combat but has shown herself to be a great fighter without it! She finds herself in the middle of a cosmic war.
About Marco Diaz.
Marco is Star's best friend on Earth, and he enjoys nachos. While not as strong as Star, Marco has a green belt with a white stripe in the Tang Soo Do discipline. He's known as the safe kid to his peers, but he enjoys having adventures with Star across different dimensions. Hopefully, this adventure will make him more confident!
About Reiya Yajū.
Reiya was a citizen on the former planet, Megastar, she has left behind all her friends and family… But, she hasn't lost hope! Similar to Star, she fought monsters during her childhood. She boosts deadly Yo-Yo skills, eye beams, fire breath, and high jumping abilities. She was the leader of a group called the Kaiju Slayers!
Vs. Jinshu!
This spiky-haired menace was recruited after her home planet was taken over by the Calajengs. She is now tasked to finding the Lambent Amulets, whatever that is… Watch out for her (almost...) unrivalled speed!
About Kirby.
Kirby is the cheerful pink puffball who lives and protects the country of Dream Land and the Planet Popstar! He can inhale enemies and projectiles to copy their abilities. He's confused why these teenagers arrived in Dream Land… but he will try his best to help them, no matter what!

Well, that was the first chapter of Kirby and Star: Charring Amulet, I hoped you enjoyed it. I apologize for the slow beginning, think of it as the calm before the storm. I wanted to get this out before Kirby's 30th anniversary ended and I hope you guys liked the blurbs about the heroes and the boss, I tried to make it seem like it was from a Kirby game, but I added my own spin to it.
